Using Quotes In An Essay
Writing an essay on the topic "Using Quotes In An Essay" can be quite challenging. It requires a
delicate balance between incorporating quotes effectively to support your arguments and
ensuring that your own voice and analysis remain prominent throughout the essay. One must be
adept at selecting appropriate quotes that not only bolster the points being made but also
seamlessly integrate into the overall flow of the essay. Additionally, proper citation and
attribution of the quotes are essential to maintain academic integrity and avoid plagiarism.
Moreover, there's a need for a deep understanding of the subject matter to discern which quotes
are most relevant and impactful. It involves thorough research to find suitable quotes from
credible sources, which can be a time-consuming process. Furthermore, it's crucial to provide
adequate context and analysis for each quote to elucidate its significance within the broader
scope of the essay.
Balancing the use of quotes with original thought and analysis requires skill and precision. Over-
reliance on quotes can detract from the author's voice and originality, while insufficient use of
quotes may weaken the arguments presented. Thus, achieving the right balance is essential to
crafting a compelling and cohesive essay on this topic.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "Using Quotes In An Essay" demands careful consideration of
how to effectively incorporate quotes to support arguments while maintaining the integrity of the
author's voice and analysis. It requires a thorough understanding of the subject matter,
meticulous research, and skillful integration of quotes into the essay's structure. Finding this
balance is key to producing a well-crafted piece of writing on the topic.

Heavy Metal Music Disorders
anger disorders tend to be more attracted to heavy metal music.
What is heavy metal music? In 1985, the parents of John McCollum filed a civil
suit against Ozzy Osborne citing that it was the music and lyrical content of Ozzy s
album that resulted in their son s suicide in 1984. John had been listening to
Osborne s music when he put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger, killing himself
(Sampar, 2005, p.180). John s parents felt that because Ozzy was their son s idol, he
influenced John to commit suicide through the spoken words of his music. The media
coverage of this event was intense and parents started to take notice. Mass hysteria
ensued with religious groups burning heavy metal records and parental groups taking
their concerns to the highest courts in an attempt to filter the content of the music. It
was the moral panic in the eighties that resulted in the parental advisory label that
began to grace CD covers everywhere (Brown, 2012, p.21). Ultimately, Ozzy ... Show

According to Sampar (2005), John Vance and Raymond Belknap decided to make a
suicide pack one afternoon after listening to Priest s album Stained Glass. Raymond
Belknap was successful in taking his own life, whereas, James Vance survived his
gunshot wound to the face leaving him significantly disfigured; some years later he
passed away (p. 183). James Vance testified in court that both himself and Belknap
began to hear the chants just do it , which lead them to leave Belknap s residence,
taking with them a sawed off shotgun and two shotgun shells (Sampar, 2005, p.183).
In this case, the court found that Judas Priest did not intentionally put that message in
the album, so therefore he was found not liable for the death of Belknap and attempted

Classification of Zombie Movies Essay
I have determined that there are three different types of zombie movie. First, the
movies that showcase the slow, but still startling zombies, like Night of the Living
Dead. Night s zombies are slow, the humans just get themselves into trouble by
reacting stupidly, or not paying enough attention to the problem. (G.A. Romero)
Next, films like Shaun of the Dead, which portray the sometimes amusing but still
creepy zombies. And finally, movies like Day of the Dead (2008) which introduce
the completely terrifying, gravity defying zombies.
Night of the Living Dead presents zombies that move slowly but deliberately toward
their ultimate objective which is filling their appetites for human flesh. Zombie
movies of this type are the basis of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although Shaun can t bring himself to kill Ed, the danger his infected friend
presents, is still clear when Shaun must chastise Ed for trying to bite his arm.
Shaun s zombies are provided with more of a human element, which lends more to
the hilarity of the situation. In my mind they were us, we ve just changed, that s
all. (G.A. Romero) Seeing a zombie that is wearing a towel obviously stricken
undead in the middle of a shower makes this type of movie funnier and more tragic
at the same time. While humor is obviously present the gore zombie movies are
famous for is also a key element. Zombie comedy is also shown in Zombieland,
which is a laugh riot from beginning to end. From the main character s list of survival
rules which include always checking the backseat and being wary of bathrooms, the
story is more about the humans that remain and their fight to stay human.
Finally, the films that make you really fear zombies. Movies like Day of the Dead,
(the 2008 remake, not G.A. Romero s original) which portray zombies that seem
to be aware of their surroundings and can do their own brand of problem solving.
Day s zombies while still driven by the primal instinct of hunger, can figure out
ways of getting to their prey that zombies in movies with less of a freak out factor do
not even begin to grasp and plenty of blood

What is a MVP and why would John Adams be one of them? John Adams was born

from the Massachusetts Bay Colony. His father was also named John Adams, but he
was a farmer. When he was sixteen years old, he got a scholarship to Harvard, so he
went. John Adams is mostly known for his political views and participation in the
White House. He was the second President of the United States, but the first ever

In 1770, John Adams agreed to stand up for the British soldiers in a trial accused with
Intermolecular Forces Essay
Intermolecular forces are the attractive and/or repulsive forces among independent
particles, such as molecules, atoms, or ions, within a sample of matter. These forces
differ from chemical bonds, or intramolecular forces, because chemical bonds exist
between the atoms of a single molecule. For example, intermolecular forces could be
described as the forces that attract many water molecules together, while chemical
bonds refer to the bonds between the hydrogen and oxygen atoms of a single water
molecule. Chemical bonds are also generally more permanent and stronger than
intermolecular forces.
There are various types of intermolecular forces, all which differ in strength. These
forces include: ion ion forces, dipole dipole forces, ion dipole forces, ion induced
dipole, dipole induced dipole, and London dispersion forces. The amount of charge,
how it is distributed, and how long a charge distribution will last, all factor into how
strong the intermolecular forces are. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These forces attract ions rather strongly. In a pure ionic compound, we call these
forces ionic bonds and consider it to be an intramolecular force. In a mixture of
substances, however, it is seen as an intermolecular force since the ions are
interacting without being bonded. Ion ion forces are repulsive if they are cation
cation or anion anion, and are attractive if they are cation anion. Charge and size
influence the strength of these forces. Small molecules with large charge magnitudes
would have stronger ion ion forces acting between them because these factors would
allow for closer approach to their
Plato vs Isocrates Essay
Plato encouraged in his writings that the view that sophists were concerned with was
the manipulative aspects of how humans acquire knowledge. (Lecture) Sophists
believed that only provisional or probable knowledge was available to humans but
both Plato and Isocrates did not agree with a lot of what the Sophists had to say.
They both believed in wisdom and having a connection with rhetoricbut vary in
defining wisdom in itself. Wisdom for Socratesand Platois having an understanding
of speech, knowledge of truth and being able to question the speaker in order to seek
and reveal truth. Isocrates defined wisdom as having a sense of integrity and
character along with the ambition and ability to speak well with others.

(167) One who knows knowledge, more so, one who loves wisdom, delivers their
wisdom, knowledge and understanding to others. Since wisdom is the understanding
of speech, knowing truth and questioning credibility, rhetoric does not produce
knowledge. It delivers the knowledge to others. Being wise is being able to recognize
and acknowledge the hidden truth of speech and creating a sense of understanding
with that knowledge.
Socrates and Plato differ from Isocrates by believing that rhetoric, which distributes
wisdom, comes from the soul. The man whose rhetorical teaching is a real art will
explain accurately the nature of that to which his words are to be addressed, and that
is the soul. (163) Ones soul is affected by decisions made by the human form and
also by those interacting with the soul. The wise man s soul contains wisdom, truth
and intelligence. Thus, by interacting with a bad soul or a soul with bad intent lowers
to soul of a just and wise man. Since rhetoric is distributing knowledge to others, the
soul should be used when making hard and uncertain decisions. The soul of a wise
person holds ultimate truth and its human form knows how to seek out knowledge
and understanding to find ultimate truth by ways of questioning.
To the contrary, Isocrates believes that wisdom has nothing to do with the soul and
the heavens, for he claims that the gods in the heavens have disputes.
Controversy Of Advertisement
Argumentative Essay
In today s society the only way to become a famous musician is to have good music
that fans will like. One of the ways fans learn about an artist s new songs is through
ads. A fan would be watching TV or listening to music on their smartphone, and an ad
might pop up with their favorite artist s new song. The fan would most likely wonder
what is was and download it. Artists should continue to allow their music to be placed
in advertisements because it helps them earn money, and it can help them get
recognized.
First, using ads can help the artist earn more money. Some artists only make U.S.
minimum wage for their music, so advertising and making corporate deals can really
help. A band called Oh, Sleeper is an example. Out... Show more content on

Sometimes fans will feel betrayed when they see their favorite song in a burger
commercial and instead of gaining popularity the artist will actually lose it and get
very strong negative feedback. Take U2 for example one of the world s most popular
rock bands who after, landing a deal with Apple that had their 2014 album Songs of
Innocence installed into 500 million iTunes subscribers libraries for free, faces a
storm of negative feedback from fans and critics alike. People resented the idea
that an album they didn t ask for was forced on them, likening the album to musical
spam, and the reputations of both U2 and Apple were damaged. (Source 2
Paragraph 8) Although doing this can hurt the reputation of artists it can help them
as well. They can earn way more money, get famous quickly and live a good life. It
is a risk artists are willing to take because making music is their livelihood not just
their hobby.
To conclude, signing off songs, albums, and making commercials can be a risk,
there are way more benefits than cons. Besides if an artist doesn t want his or her
music on streaming apps, they can just tell those companies to stop streaming their
music, which may increase sales of downloads of an artist s music since it is not
being streamed. Everyone knows that ads help and making deals help so why make a
big deal? It is an artist s choice and if they want to

Success is not about money, but rather success in the eyes of the beholder. It does
not matter what you view as successful though, because you will not be successful
without the necessary drive and persistence. Many many people give up on their
dreams because they do not possess they key characteristics, and they oftentimes
do not truly believe that they are living a successful life. Money is also a key
factor, and it certainly helps most people with their dreams, but I think that if you
set realistic goals for yourself, you can move up in your social/economic class, and

WASTE GENERATION IN IBADAN
Solid waste
Although it is generally agreed that enormous quantities of solid waste are
generated in Ibadan daily, the exact figures have not been determined, probably
owing to the use of diverse methods of calculation. Maclaren International Ltd
(1970) found that the average per capita quantity of solid waste generated was 0.37
0.5 kg/day for the traditional areas of the city and 0.53 kg/day for the newer areas.
According to Egunjobi (1986), 38 million kg of solid waste was collected in the
suburbs of Ibadan in 1986. The suburbs constitute about 21% of the city. On this
basis, it can be estimated that 181 million kg of solid waste was generated in the
city as a whole in 1986. This gives a per capita waste generation rate of 0.31 kg/day,
using the 1986 estimated population of 1.6 million for the city.
In 1982, PAI Associates recorded the volume and weight of solid waste generated

High alveolar ventilation brings more O2 into the alveoli, increasing O2 , and
rapidly eliminating CO2 from the lungs (for chemical abbreviations see Table 2).
Partial pressure of gases Dalton s law explains the partial pressure of a gas, which is
the pressure exerted by a gas within a mixture of gases independent of each gas in
the mixture (Marieb, 2004). The partial pressure of each gas is directly
proportional to its percentage in the total mixture and in air is determined by
atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric pressure is 101 kPa (760 mmHg), 21% of this air
is oxygen, and the partial pressure of oxygen (PO2 ) in atmospheric air is: 21 Г—
101 = 21.2 kPa 100 Within the alveoli the PO2 is different to air because of
enrichment in the air passages (dead space) with CO2 and water vapour. Alveolar air
contains much more CO2 and water vapour and much less O2 and so makes a greater
contribution to the near atmospheric pressure in the lungs, then they do in air. This is
due to: gas exchanges occurring in the lungs, humidification of air by the
conducting passages, mixing of gases in the dead space (contains air not involved in
gaseous exchange) between the nose and alveoli. In alveoli, PO2 averages only 13.2
kPa (100 mmHg). Continuous consumption of O2 and production of CO2 in the cells
means that there is a partial pressure gradient both in the lungs and at the tissue level

The reason why this is the way to go is that relational databases are limited in the
number of relationships that can be dug down and analyzed. Using a dimensional
model will allow the use of multi dimensional cubes to be able to pull 3 or more
dimensions back into a pivot table. An example would be Sales by customer
service rep by assigned sales territory. This provides a deeper detail of data than
you would be able to get out of a relational database. For each department of the
university, I propose a Data mart for each one. The reason why this is the case is
so that every department can manipulate their own data as they see fit with their
own resources because it is on a different server than another data mart typically.
The look and feel of the Data Mart is up to that department and does not bother the
other departments Data Marts. Individual data marts can also increase response
time because there are not as many people hitting them all at one time. If a new
department were to pop up, data mart creation is very easy to do. Each record will
be unique based on the primary or composite keys of the table, and those keys could
be surrogate keys such as using AutoNumber like in Microsoft Access. Depending on
the analysis of the data, it may be determined that the ID numbers between student
and teacher are unique and this can be the way to link items together throughout the
database. The

Steaven King have many similar things that happen. In both the movie and book it
talks about a group of people that are psychic that visit a haunted house that has had
so many things happen inside. They believe the house is alive and they go inside to
see it for themselves. Both houses had a family Crains and the Rimbauers that have
died in the house or on the way to the house.

it was only happening to her house. This is the reason Eleanor wants to leave and

because they are around the same age. Luke from Hill House is a really nice guy
and he was always nice to Eleanor when everyone else was rude and talked bad
about her. In Rose Red Steaven is very nice to Annie and they ended up becoming
so close at the end because he would always protect her when everyone wanted to
hurt her or said things to her that she didn t like.
In Hill House we have a character named Doctor Montague this character is the one
that got everything started. He wanted to bring people in this haunted house to prove
the existence of the paranormal. Than we have Joyce who brought a group of people
to prove the same thing about Rose Red. These two characters lead the group of
people around the house and told them about the history of both houses.
In the movie Rose Red we had lots more deaths than we had in Hill House. While the
group stayed in Rose Red they died because the ghosts that were in the house made
them think they were seeing things that they wanted to see but really nothing was
there, the ghost also disguised as one of the people in the house so their friends would

his or team s favor. If contacted by the team, to assist in the draft selection process,

proposal, I hope to ensure that the Dallas Cowboys receive defensive players that
can play and contribute to the beginning success of revitalized team. My proposal
would look at filling the two gaps left by the exits of the cornerbacks and strong
safety. The Dallas Cowboys need players who can perform at the level of the top
players in those specific positions to ensure that success for the team comes early.
My proposal would look at three different sets of statistics to ensure a positive draft
pick. First, I would analyze the other thirty one teams within the National Football
League, and deduct based off of the statistics of the cornerback and strong safety
position who is regarded as the top players in that specific position. The Strong
Safety is usually, well, strong, and fast. They are usually responsible for covering
TEs, RBs, and WRs and playing down the field, but are often expected to come up
in run support. While the cornerbacks try to break up passes, tackle players who

Lord Of The Flies Literary Analysis
The Beast Within The Lord of the Flies portrays the years of adolescence in a way
not commonly perceived. In the novel, William Golding depicts childhood as times
of tribulation and terror when the children are put in certain adult like situations.
Without mature role models to look up to, children turn to other children for
leadership. Additionally, when given the chance children would rather play around
than do manual labor. Lastly, children stray to savagery without rules or social
boundaries. Therefore, Goulding effectively portrayed the attitudes of adolescents
which shaped the meaning of the book as a whole. When children are without adult
authority, they look for an adult like person for leadership. In the beginning of the
book, when the boys realize they are all alone, they to Ralph for leadership. A
quote to represent this is, But there was a stillness about Ralph as he sat that
marked him out: there was his size, and attractive appearance; and most obscurely,
yet most powerfully, there was the conch. The being that had blown that, had sat
waiting for them on the platform with the delicate thing balanced on his knees,
was set apart (Golding 15). This quote shows how the boys are drawn to Ralph
because of his physical characteristics and because he had set a rule, which was to
give attention to the person holding the conch. As a result of there being no adults
on the island, the boys are be attracted to Ralph as their leader. However, towards the

Jekyll And Mr Hyde Duality
First Essay Assignment: Stevenson s Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde The Strange Case of
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is mystery story which is written by Robert Louis
Stevenson. This story was written in 1885 and published in 5 January, 1886. This
story is accepted as the best novel of the Stevenson in Victorian Age.
Victorian Age was the brightest age of the England which was the period of the
reign of Queen Victoria. It started in 1837 and ended in 1901. At that time, poverty
in England was decreased and technologies were developed so much. However, in
Victorian England, there were no equality in the society and every person was
belonging to a different class. This inequality could not cast a cloud on this
victorious age but the Victorian Age, which was filled with a lot of contradictions
and conflicts, had been a great inspiration to many authors and poets in this era. In
this story, Stevenson also expressed the difference of social class. Also, through the
novel, Stevenson established a link between the urban landscape of Victorian London
and the dark events surrounding Hyde. He achieved his desired effect by using ...

Another common interpretation which we can see the novella s duality is the
representative of Scotland and the Scottish character. In this story, the duality also
represented the national and linguistic dualities inherent in Scotland s relationship
with the Britain and the English language, respectively, and the repressive effects of
the Church of Scotland on the Scottish character. A further parallel was also drawn
with the city of Edinburgh itself, which is Stevenson s birthplace. This consisted of
two distinct parts. One of the part was the old medieval period that was historically
inhabited by the poverty of city, where the dark and crowded slums were spread with
many types of crimes. Then, the other part was the modern Georgian area of wide
spacious streets which represented

Recognition and Continuous feedback
Recognition and positive feedback will help build the employee s confidence and
has a significant impact in maintaining good performance in the future. The
employee is likely to be more committed and will serve as a positive influence to
other employees.
Constructive feedback is just as important as it helps identify weak points whether it
occurs on an individual level or at the level of a team. Guidance through mentoring
and training sessions can be a useful tool to improve performance.

How Do Flags Affect My Life
The ideas brought upon when discussing flags roles in society are applicable to my
life and many others, even though we might not realize this. Personally, these ideas
have affected my family by way of my Dad. My father loves geography. He majored
in geography with emphasis in cartography, and brought it upon himself to educated
me at a young age the importance of geography. Be it through state capitals,
international borders, or in this case flags, he was constantly quizing me on these
items of geography. This in turn influenced my love of trivia and it s profoundly true
that he has impacted my life in this way. Aside from this personal connection, this
topic is also applicable to me on a much larger scale. The United Statesflag represents

The marketing and advertising advertisements created by the franchisor leave
franchisee with more time to focus on the daily operating of business. This is a win
win for both parties. It helps increase sales by means of franchise, which, on the
other hand, allows the parent company to collect more fees. (Bernd H. 2008)
Continuous support
It recognizes that the success and profitability of many international chain brands are
inextricably linked to the success of the franchises (Minkler, A., 1990). A highly
qualified group of professional advisers offer continuous support on everything from
human resources to computers and accounting. The field adviser can become a
valuable business partner and a sounding board for ideas.
Guaranteed Territory
In most cases, a franchise parent company would guarantee franchisee a
predetermined territory and assist it in succeeding in that field (Tansev G, 2004).
Territories vary depending on the company which is worked with, but not having to
compete with another franchise location from the same company in territory can help
to generate revenue.
3.3Shortages of Franchise
One major problem for a new business is predicting how much business it might
enjoy, running the risk of either cashflow problems or the difficulties associated with
overtrading. The turnover and profit from any outlet will vary, depending on a wide
range of internal and
The Director Is The Conductor And The Audience s Feelings
In cinematography, as Quentin Tarantino discusses in an interview, the director is the
conductor and the audience s feelings are the instrument that directors utilize to
evoke emotion. Directors have many tools they use to evoke the viewer s emotions
and properly captivate the audience. One of the tools directors use to control the
audience, in addition to special effects, is dialogue. Dialogue has the power to push
an audience to tears when a character dies, or make them laugh at the same scene
with different dialogue between the characters. This dialogue is only possible through
the creation of a storyworld where absurd dialogue would be deemed appropriate.
This is what makes Quentin Tarantinosuch an effective director, he has mastered the
skill of controlling the audience s emotions through establishing a storyworld, and
using dialogue with his horrifying scenes. His mastery of evoking emotioncan be seen
in many of his films. Most notably in Pulp Fiction, which won an Oscar and a
Golden Globe for best screenplay. In Pulp Fiction, the viewer finds him or herself in a
whirlwind of emotion, laughing in horror at horrendous acts of violence. The
emotions that are elicited while watching these intense scenes are possible because of
the dialogue Quentin Tarantino uses. He masters the ability to evoke emotion
through outrageous scenes in combination with memorable dialogue. The social
norms within a storyworld, as well as characters ridiculous interactions with each
other,
Malala Yousafzai s Impact On The World
Today on my first day as an adult, on behalf of the world s children, I demand of
leaders we must invest in books instead of bullets. This quote was said by Malala
Yousafzai, a young woman who in her teenage years was an advocate for education
and peace, and still continues to make a significant impact on the world. Malala and
two other people, Easton LaChappelle and Louis Braille, are proof that teenagers can
make a meaningful difference in this world. Malala Yousafzai was born July 12,
1997 in Mingora, Pakistan. Malala attended a school founded by her father that
allowed girls to join. Even in her early years she became an advocate for girls
education, and she in September 2008 even gave a speech condemning the Taliban
s attack on school girls. This is a very brave and daring thing to do; she spoke out
against the Taliban. She inspired many people with her courage, and she continued
her support for education. Because of her ongoing defiance of Taliban control and
her passion for peace and education, in 2011, Malala got death threats from the
Taliban. Then, on October 9, 2012, she was shot on the bus on her way home from
school. She was shot in the left side of her head, and was left in critical condition.
After recovering in March of 2013 in Birmingham, England, she attended school in

Teenagers are often seen as impulsive, easy to get in risky situations, and
intellectually unstable. This is somewhat proven, ...the front cortex, the area of the
brain that controls reasoning and helps us think before we act, develops later. This
part of the brain is still changing and maturing well into adulthood. So, teenagers are
more likely to be bad decision makers. Regardless of this fact, teenagers can make a

Taa 18-22 Case Study
The Army has already established the need for maintaining an operational reserve,
through former and current TAAs, capable of breaching AC capability gaps to meet
joint force requirements. However, the analysis lacks resources to accomplish this
guidance effectively. The demand for RC forces requires generating more operational
unit readiness to fully complement the rotational forcepool to meet the deployment
demand at the same standard as the AC. After conducting a Doctrine, Organization,
Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy
(DOTMLPF P) analysis, both overarching recommendations address an identified
capability requirement and associated capability gap that could be mitigated with a
non materiel solution with changes or existing capabilities in five, organization,
training, personnel, facilities, and policy, of the eight functions.

infrastructures that are widely available for victims of abuse? This paper echo s the
voices for and against. This research found naГЇve consumers of mass media

abuse, cyber bully complaints of a sensitive age. Teenagers ignoring privacy
policies were to blame for side stepping their own well being, sharing personal
information that could map them to precise locations and endanger their
wellbeing. On the contrary legislations have been in print for decades that help
filter out any abusive manner offline and online. This research paper concludes
that users are to blame for their laziness of sharing/leaking their live database of
primary information that may be used to cyber bully/target individuals. Consumers
should not be blamed entirely for their lack of knowledge as laws implemented in
each country vary and entail some form of study that may not be easily interpreted.
Governing bodies should invest in more ways in which user friendly/simplified

Compare my last duchess and Porhyria s lover considering in particular how the 2
central characters are presented.
Both poems, My Last Duchess and Porphyria s Lover have similarities and
differences. This can be seen in the two central characters, content and language. In
My Last Duchess the duke, a rich upper class man, is talking to a messenger of a
count whose daughter he wishes to marry. This poem begins in front of his last
Duchess painting which is on the wall in the Duke s home. Throughout the poem, we
discover the characteristics of the Duke and learn about the murder of the Duchess.
Porphyria s Lover however begins in the lover s cottage. The poem describes a night

This can be seen in, some how I know not how as if she ranked/ My gift of a nine
hundred year old name/ With anybody s gift. The Duke feels that the Duchess
valued his gift the same as she received others. He, in fact, ranked his nine hundred
year old name, his nobility and especially status above everything. Therefore he felt,
his gift could not be bettered by anyone. This quote also suggests that the Duke was
proud about his status.
The Duke is obsessively possessive. This can be seen in That s my
Last Duchess painted on the wall. This quote shows how the Duke regarded the
Duchess as one of objects. Also within this quote, the possessive pronoun my is
used. This highlights his possessive qualities. Later on in the poem, we see that he
treats every woman in such a manner. This can be seen in Though his fair daughter
s self, as I avowed/ At starting, is my object. He describes the Count s daughter as
being an item. This also shows that the Duke was after the money he was going to
receive as dowry after he married the Count s daughter. Therefore we can see that the
Duke was greedy and powerful.
All of these characteristics of the Duke, especially his power, might suggest that the
Duke was involved in the murder of the Duchess. This is evident in I gave
commands; / Then all smiles stopped together.
This quote might suggest that the Duke gave commands to kill the
Duchess because of her flirtatious nature. This is because the smiles

Cold Weather Driving: Make it Safer in the 2017 Honda Accord Sedan
If you live anywhere that the snow is starting to fall or the roads are getting icy, you
know how important it is to have a vehicle that is designed to make winter driving
safer. The 2017 Honda Accord is one such vehicle.
Safety First
Honda is known for its commitment to safety, so it should be no surprise to you that
the Accord Sedan scores a five star safety rating from the National Highway
Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) and was a 2016 Insurance Institute
Highway Safety Top Safety Pick. These accolades offer you confidence that the

Of course, those two safety features are extremely important, but Honda goes even
further and adds other attributes like brake assist and electronic brake force
distribution for help with a hard brake.
The addition of the Collision Mitigation Braking Systemв„ў,standard on all but two
of the models, makes sure that you stop by delivering brake pressure if sensors
detect an obstacle in your path like another car.
Other systems like the Lane Departure Warning let you know when you may be
drifting off course and into trouble.
When you re driving along, you may not feel a tire that is losing pressure from
running over a sharp item, so the Tire Pressure Monitoring System can detect and
determine whether you re losing air pressure in an individual tire. This allows you
time to get off to a safe place where you can replace the tire before you have a flat.
Getting a flat tire at highway speeds can be very dangerous no matter how many
safety features your vehicle has on it.
Stability
Much of your safety relies upon the stability of your vehicle, and the Honda Accord
Sedan is equipped with a suspension that is built to keep you upright and moving

Thomas Jefferson Report
Biography of Thomas Jefferson
Third President of the United States of America.
Thomas Jefferson (1743 1826) was the third president of the United States and a
creator of the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson was a philosopher,
politician, scientist, architect, inventor, musician, and writer. Thomas Jefferson was
also one of the smartest leaders in history.
His father was named Peter Jefferson, a very rich Farmer from Virginia. Thomas s
Mother, Jane Randolph Jefferson, was part of the Randolph family. The Randolph
Family was a big part of Virginia history, and also very rich also. Peter and Jane

The marriage was happy, except Mrs. Jefferson s ill health. Of their six children,
only two, both of them girls, lived to maturity. Martha Jefferson died in 1782. The
death of his wife had a profound effect on Jefferson and probably influenced his
return to politics, which Thomas Jefferson had considered leaving.
On June 21, 1775, Jefferson took his seat in Congress. The following summer,
Jefferson sat in Congress as an elected delegate, not as an alternate. It was at this
session that Thomas Jefferson wrote his most famous document, the Declaration of
Independence. On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was formally
adopted. The connections with America with Great Britain were broken. Within a
few days the declaration was being read to people throughout the colonies, and it was
received with great pride.
Jefferson managed to spend considerable time with his family. Thomas took up
building projects at Monticello and continued to develop his land. Jefferson was a
philosopher a architect, and an inventor. Thomas invented the dumbwaiter, a swivel
chair, a lamp heater, and an improved plow.
In May, 1784, Congress appointed Jefferson a diplomat. Jefferson was to go to
France. There Thomas Jefferson was to help the other ministers, Benjamin Franklin
and John Adams, in arranging commercial treaties with various European countries.
When Franklin retired in 1785, Jefferson replaced him as the U.S. diplomatic

Lord Of The Flies Religious Allegory Analysis
Lord of the Flies Symbolism Essay
(Rough Draft)
Lord of the Flies is chalk full of different types of allegories such as historical,
political, moral, and religious. However, we will focus specifically on the religious
allegory. To support the religious allegory, William Golding uses specific objects and
characters to represent religious entities. To be more specific, Golding uses Simon as
a Jesus like character, the mountaintop to represent the holy ground or sanctuary, and
the fire to represent salvation. Each of these examples helps the reader understand the
theme of the book, and understand Simon, the mountaintop, and the fire s
significance in the book. In the Lord of the Flies, William Golding uses religious

The fire is very important to the boys, especially Ralph, because it is the only way
for people to know that they are on the island and they need to be rescued. Right
when the boys meet up for their first assembly, Ralph states, ...so we must make
smoke on top of the mountain (Golding 30). He is the first to say that the fire
should be on top of the mountain so the smoke would be very visible. The
mountaintop continues to be seen as a sacred location for the fire, even though
most of the boys do not take strict care for the fire. When The boys get overly
excited, with Jack as the ringleader, and all but Piggy and Ralph rush off to the top
of the mountain to build a fire. They forget about the conch and the system of rules
they have just made. At the top of the mountain, Ralph uses Piggy s glasses to light
the fire. They are careless and set fire to the mountain (Lord of the Flies). It seems
that Piggy and Ralph are the only ones who actually put in an effort to keeping the
fire going, while the others do not care as much. Throughout most of the book, the
fire is the only significant object on the mountaintop. However, when the pilot
comes, he becomes the only thing on the mountain. Climbing to the top of the
mountain, they see a creature that bulged (Lord of the Flies). The creature that
bulged is referring to the dead pilot, or the beast to the boys. Once they all believe
that the beast is on the mountain, the boys avoid going up the mountain as much as
possible, and move the fire elsewhere. To conclude, the mountaintop is seen as the
holy ground or sanctuary for their precious fire because it gives the best view of the

Costa Rica Poverty
The Republic of Costa Rica is a picturesque country located in Central America,
forming a land bridge between Nicaragua and Panama. Tourists flock to this country
each year, attracted by its lush tropical forests and its colourful fauna. However, Costa
Rica s average tourist may be surprised to learn that poverty is a persistent problem
for this apparently rich and diverse country. Many Costa Ricans (familiarly known as
Ticos) suffer from poor health and complain about bad infrastructure. Although the
tourism industry provides substantial revenue for Costa Rica, the industry also has a
dark side, including the promotion of prostitution and drug abuse, among other

To achieve maximum output at work, and thus earn a decent living, a worker must
be of sound mind and body. This feeling of being in tiptop shape can be
compromised by many things, including food quality, macronutrient intake, and
water quality. Unfortunately, many Ticos do not have access to these benefits
which developed countries take for granted. Ryan E. Galt describes in his book
Food Systems in an Unequal World: Pesticides, Vegetables, and Agrarian Capitalism
in Costa Rica (as reviewed in the Journal of Latin American Geography) the heavy
pesticide use by Costa Rican farmers in fruit and vegetable production. Costa Rican
exporters work closely with importing countries to ensure their produce meets
pesticide regulations (i.e., not too much residue left on the food). However, the
government has no regulations for the Costa Rican internal market. Therefore any
produce destined for local markets likely contains dangerous amounts of pesticide
residue which are toxic when consumed by humans (Elbow). If Costa Rica is able to
meet exporting requirements for pesticide residue on produce, surely those
regulations could be extrapolated to include food destined for the internal market.
This type of regulation could significantly improve the health of those who consume
these products. Another factor contributing to poor health in Costa Rica is water
quality. According to Yale University s

The colonists call for self rule increased with each new act passed. Instead of
listening to the American colonists, Britain kept passing new acts. An example that
shows the extent to which politically the American Revolution can be called an
accelerated evolution rather than a cataclysmic revolution are the battles of
Lexington and Concord. The increased want for independence led the colonists to
create a continental army and begin their fight for change. In 1775, Massachusetts
was proclaimed to be in an open rebellion and British General Thomas Gage was
ordered to put a stop to it. On April 18, 1775 General Gage dispatched 700 soldiers
to capture colonial leaders and supplies at Concord. Fortunately, Paul Revere and
other riders were able to warn the patriots of the attack and at dawn militiamen
confronted the British troops first at Lexington and then Concord. After these battles
73 British soldiers were dead, 174 wounded and 26 were missing. Americans
suffered too with 49 Massachusetts militiamen killed and 39 wounded. The battles at
Lexington and Concord show a more radical way that the colonists chose to achieve
independence from Britain. Due to violence and a want for rapid change, the battles
of Lexington and Concord show politically how the American Revolution can almost
be a cataclysmic revolution. The American Revolution did not happen suddenly, but
built up more as each new act

Academic Motivation And Career Development
Academic motivation and skills: As they explore their career interests and options,
youth increase their understanding of the value and relevance of formal education to
pursuing their career goals. This increases their academic motivation and engagement
which leads to increased academic skills.
Leadership skills: Youthdevelop leadership by taking the lead in their personal career
development process.
Social skills and positive relationships: By working with their family, school or youth
program staff, counselors, mentors, and other significant adults, youth practice

Learning how to find and analyze the information one needs to make his or her own
decisions enhances a young person s agency and sense of autonomy. Career
planning and management skills, overall, help young people become more self
determined, enhancing their ability to make decisions, plan how to achieve goals,
and carry out as well as revise their plan. This builds confidence, self esteem, and a
sense of responsibility.
Engaging Youth with Disabilities
As your organization assists all youth to develop their career development skills, it is
essential to take into consideration and address additional needs of youth with
disabilities. Whether their disabilities are apparent or not, all youth programs serve
some youth with disabilities. While the presence of physical and intellectual
disabilities may be obvious to staff, other youth may have learning disabilities, mental
health disabilities, or chronic health conditions that aren t readily visible but still
warrant consideration. Youth with any type of disabilitymay require or benefit from
accommodations or support to participate in youth programs. Youth development and
leadership programs need to be physically and cognitively accessible for youth with
disabilities. Ensuring that programs are cognitively accessible means ensuring that
youth with learning and intellectual disabilities, as well as those with lower literacy
skills, can understand what s being communicated verbally, nonverbally, and
Meet Up Research Paper
Back in June I got a text from Ruby creator of Brown Girl With A Camera, asking if
I would help her plan a meetup in NYC in August. I jumped at the chance because I
m all about helping and supporting fellow entrepreneurs. I want us all to win!
Plus, Brown Girl With A Camera s mission is awesome read about it here. August
is always a busy month for me. Especially this august I had two weddings and my 4
year wedding anniversary. The only date I had available was August 29th. Ruby
and I agreed on a date. I got off the phone and got right to work. I ve hosted art
exhibits, women s empowerment events but never a meet up. This meet up was an
excellent opportunity not only for the photographers models attending to build
their portfolios but also an a chance for everyone to network, build friendships and
cultivate a sisterhood. I ve said it once before and I will say it again. Photography
is mainly dominated by males. Anytime I can get together with a group female
photographers, share knowledge, experiences with women that are going through
the same things that I am and just vibe it s a good time. My goal was for everyone
to leave the meet up confident, inspired and hopefully with new skills. YUP.... this
meet up was going to be awesome! Once I had my vision for the meet up down. I
called two of my favorite make up artists Nicole Summers of Nozzie by Nicole Make
Up Artistry and Melisa Martin of Mema Creations Make up Artistry. Now that I had
the make up team locked in it was
Evaluation Of A Patient With Mental Status
Last week I was at the hospital, doing my usual clinical rotations. I was assigned a
patient who was admitted to the hospital for altered mental status. I was a bit
scared to work with this patient because I was never exposed to people who are
not mentally stable. When I came to see my patient for the first time, I saw that he
was accompanied by a woman who told me she was the aid who was working with
him. I was surprised to see that the patient was curled up in the bed and not moving.
She explained to me that the patient was legally blind and also had dementia. She
also said that he was somewhat combative to the doctors and nurses because of his
unfamiliar surroundings and therefore he felt like everyone there was trying to hurt
him in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I was also chosen by my clinical instructor to administer medications that day. I
waited for the professor to come around and sure enough, all the medications which
were to be taken by mouth, had to be crushed and administered that way. He was
receiving anticonvulsants and also antiseizure medications. We crushed all the
medications and mixed them into some of his pudding. When I came to give him
the spoon of pudding, he was asleep. I gently awoke him and told him that I had his
pudding. I tried putting the spoon in his mouth and he pushed my hand away. Then,
the aid got up and tried holding his hands and telling him that it was good for him
and he would get ice cream after this. I finally got half the spoon in his mouth and just
when I thought he took the pudding, he spit out the entire thing onto his shirt and
arm and started wiping the pudding off his mouth with his sheet. My clinical
instructor told me to stop trying and that he would get the nurse to try and finish
giving him what was left.
I was having a lot of thoughts and emotions while this episode was unfolding. There
was of course the fear of the patient that everyone in the hospital was trying to hurt
him, and there was also my fear that if he would not get his anti seizure medications,
he would seize in the next few hours and that would be my fault. I also did not like
the response of my clinical instructor to the whole situation. Instead
The Pros And Cons Of Wi-Fi
Continual advancement in technology has led to the extension of wireless
accessibility due to Wireless Fidelity (Wi Fi), an important phenomenon that has
been impacting the world over the past decade (Kioskea, 2015). The name Wi Fi was
first coined by Wi Fi Alliance and it refers to wireless Ethernet 802.11 which defines
standards for wirelesslocal area networks (WLANs). But since 802.11 was
considered too slow for some applications it was surpassed by extensions 802.11a
and 802.11b, and later by 802.11g. Traditionally, this radio technology that uses
frequency to transmit data through air was initially originated during late 1980s and
was evolved with the fundamental objective of making data communication wireless.
But today Wi Fihas become a necessity for both consumer and enterprise since it does
not only represent a means of staying connected at home or at the internet and
checking emails and surfing the web, it is also consumed by the users for content
purposes such as streaming music and high... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

One big disadvantage of Wi Fi involves security since Wi Fi that are open attract
hackers and many times people using the wi fi service become victims of identity
theft. Wireless network can be safe for homes and offices, but it does take some
work and a few expertises, but you should never carry out private business on a
free Wi Fi network. Moreover, Wi Fi operates in the frequency of 2.4 GHz along
with cordless phones and microwaves, hence these devices may interfere with the
wireless signals and cause problems while surfing net or may even corrupt files.
Also, the range of Wi Fi is limited and the Wi Fi router must be placed in center so
that all computers can receive fair signals which aren t blocked by any wall or
obstacle (Hughes,

  • 2. Heavy Metal Music Disorders anger disorders tend to be more attracted to heavy metal music. What is heavy metal music? In 1985, the parents of John McCollum filed a civil suit against Ozzy Osborne citing that it was the music and lyrical content of Ozzy s album that resulted in their son s suicide in 1984. John had been listening to Osborne s music when he put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger, killing himself (Sampar, 2005, p.180). John s parents felt that because Ozzy was their son s idol, he influenced John to commit suicide through the spoken words of his music. The media coverage of this event was intense and parents started to take notice. Mass hysteria ensued with religious groups burning heavy metal records and parental groups taking their concerns to the highest courts in an attempt to filter the content of the music. It was the moral panic in the eighties that resulted in the parental advisory label that began to grace CD covers everywhere (Brown, 2012, p.21). Ultimately, Ozzy ... Raymond Belknap was successful in taking his own life, whereas, James Vance survived his gunshot wound to the face leaving him significantly disfigured; some years later he passed away (p. 183). James Vance testified in court that both himself and Belknap began to hear the chants just do it , which lead them to leave Belknap s residence, taking with them a sawed off shotgun and two shotgun shells (Sampar, 2005, p.183). In this case, the court found that Judas Priest did not intentionally put that message in the album, so therefore he was found not liable for the death of Belknap and attempted suicide of
  • 3. Classification of Zombie Movies Essay I have determined that there are three different types of zombie movie. First, the movies that showcase the slow, but still startling zombies, like Night of the Living Dead. Night s zombies are slow, the humans just get themselves into trouble by reacting stupidly, or not paying enough attention to the problem. (G.A. Romero) Next, films like Shaun of the Dead, which portray the sometimes amusing but still creepy zombies. And finally, movies like Day of the Dead (2008) which introduce the completely terrifying, gravity defying zombies. Night of the Living Dead presents zombies that move slowly but deliberately toward their ultimate objective which is filling their appetites for human flesh. Zombie movies of this type are the basis of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although Shaun can t bring himself to kill Ed, the danger his infected friend presents, is still clear when Shaun must chastise Ed for trying to bite his arm. Shaun s zombies are provided with more of a human element, which lends more to the hilarity of the situation. In my mind they were us, we ve just changed, that s all. (G.A. Romero) Seeing a zombie that is wearing a towel obviously stricken undead in the middle of a shower makes this type of movie funnier and more tragic at the same time. While humor is obviously present the gore zombie movies are famous for is also a key element. Zombie comedy is also shown in Zombieland, which is a laugh riot from beginning to end. From the main character s list of survival rules which include always checking the backseat and being wary of bathrooms, the story is more about the humans that remain and their fight to stay human. Finally, the films that make you really fear zombies. Movies like Day of the Dead, (the 2008 remake, not G.A. Romero s original) which portray zombies that seem to be aware of their surroundings and can do their own brand of problem solving. Day s zombies while still driven by the primal instinct of hunger, can figure out ways of getting to their prey that zombies in movies with less of a freak out factor do not even begin to grasp and plenty of blood

  • 5. Intermolecular Forces Essay Intermolecular forces are the attractive and/or repulsive forces among independent particles, such as molecules, atoms, or ions, within a sample of matter. These forces differ from chemical bonds, or intramolecular forces, because chemical bonds exist between the atoms of a single molecule. For example, intermolecular forces could be described as the forces that attract many water molecules together, while chemical bonds refer to the bonds between the hydrogen and oxygen atoms of a single water molecule. Chemical bonds are also generally more permanent and stronger than intermolecular forces. There are various types of intermolecular forces, all which differ in strength. These forces include: ion ion forces, dipole dipole forces, ion dipole forces, ion induced dipole, dipole induced dipole, and London dispersion forces. The amount of charge, how it is distributed, and how long a charge distribution will last, all factor into how strong the intermolecular forces are. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These forces attract ions rather strongly. In a pure ionic compound, we call these forces ionic bonds and consider it to be an intramolecular force. In a mixture of substances, however, it is seen as an intermolecular force since the ions are interacting without being bonded. Ion ion forces are repulsive if they are cation cation or anion anion, and are attractive if they are cation anion. Charge and size influence the strength of these forces. Small molecules with large charge magnitudes would have stronger ion ion forces acting between them because these factors would allow for closer approach to their
  • 6. Plato vs Isocrates Essay Plato encouraged in his writings that the view that sophists were concerned with was the manipulative aspects of how humans acquire knowledge. (Lecture) Sophists believed that only provisional or probable knowledge was available to humans but both Plato and Isocrates did not agree with a lot of what the Sophists had to say. They both believed in wisdom and having a connection with rhetoricbut vary in defining wisdom in itself. Wisdom for Socratesand Platois having an understanding of speech, knowledge of truth and being able to question the speaker in order to seek and reveal truth. (167) One who knows knowledge, more so, one who loves wisdom, delivers their wisdom, knowledge and understanding to others. Since wisdom is the understanding of speech, knowing truth and questioning credibility, rhetoric does not produce knowledge. It delivers the knowledge to others. Being wise is being able to recognize and acknowledge the hidden truth of speech and creating a sense of understanding with that knowledge. Socrates and Plato differ from Isocrates by believing that rhetoric, which distributes wisdom, comes from the soul. The man whose rhetorical teaching is a real art will explain accurately the nature of that to which his words are to be addressed, and that is the soul. (163) Ones soul is affected by decisions made by the human form and also by those interacting with the soul. The wise man s soul contains wisdom, truth and intelligence. Thus, by interacting with a bad soul or a soul with bad intent lowers to soul of a just and wise man. Since rhetoric is distributing knowledge to others, the soul should be used when making hard and uncertain decisions. The soul of a wise person holds ultimate truth and its human form knows how to seek out knowledge and understanding to find ultimate truth by ways of questioning. To the contrary, Isocrates believes that wisdom has nothing to do with the soul and the heavens, for he claims that the gods in the heavens have disputes.
  • 7. Controversy Of Advertisement Argumentative Essay In today s society the only way to become a famous musician is to have good music that fans will like. One of the ways fans learn about an artist s new songs is through ads. A fan would be watching TV or listening to music on their smartphone, and an ad might pop up with their favorite artist s new song. The fan would most likely wonder what is was and download it. Artists should continue to allow their music to be placed in advertisements because it helps them earn money, and it can help them get recognized. Sometimes fans will feel betrayed when they see their favorite song in a burger commercial and instead of gaining popularity the artist will actually lose it and get very strong negative feedback. Take U2 for example one of the world s most popular rock bands who after, landing a deal with Apple that had their 2014 album Songs of Innocence installed into 500 million iTunes subscribers libraries for free, faces a storm of negative feedback from fans and critics alike. High alveolar ventilation brings more O2 into the alveoli, increasing O2 , and rapidly eliminating CO2 from the lungs (for chemical abbreviations see Table 2). Partial pressure of gases Dalton s law explains the partial pressure of a gas, which is the pressure exerted by a gas within a mixture of gases independent of each gas in the mixture (Marieb, 2004). The partial pressure of each gas is directly proportional to its percentage in the total mixture and in air is determined by atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric pressure is 101 kPa (760 mmHg), 21% of this air is oxygen, and the partial pressure of oxygen (PO2 ) in atmospheric air is: 21 Г— 101 = 21.2 kPa 100 Within the alveoli the PO2 is different to air because of enrichment in the air passages (dead space) with CO2 and water vapour. Alveolar air contains much more CO2 and water vapour and much less O2 and so makes a greater contribution to the near atmospheric pressure in the lungs, then they do in air. This is due to: gas exchanges occurring in the lungs, humidiп¬Ѓcation of air by the conducting passages, mixing of gases in the dead space (contains air not involved in gaseous exchange) between the nose and alveoli. In alveoli, PO2 averages only 13.2 kPa (100 mmHg). Continuous consumption of O2 and production of CO2 in the cells means that there is a partial pressure gradient both in the lungs and at the tissue level

The reason why this is the way to go is that relational databases are limited in the number of relationships that can be dug down and analyzed. Using a dimensional model will allow the use of multi dimensional cubes to be able to pull 3 or more dimensions back into a pivot table. An example would be Sales by customer service rep by assigned sales territory. This provides a deeper detail of data than you would be able to get out of a relational database. For each department of the university, I propose a Data mart for each one. The reason why this is the case is so that every department can manipulate their own data as they see fit with their own resources because it is on a different server than another data mart typically. The look and feel of the Data Mart is up to that department and does not bother the other departments Data Marts. Individual data marts can also increase response time because there are not as many people hitting them all at one time. If a new department were to pop up, data mart creation is very easy to do. Each record will be unique based on the primary or composite keys of the table, and those keys could be surrogate keys such as using AutoNumber like in Microsoft Access. Depending on the analysis of the data, it may be determined that the ID numbers between student and teacher are unique and this can be the way to link items together throughout the database. The

In the novel, William Golding depicts childhood as times of tribulation and terror when the children are put in certain adult like situations. Without mature role models to look up to, children turn to other children for leadership. Additionally, when given the chance children would rather play around than do manual labor. Lastly, children stray to savagery without rules or social boundaries. Therefore, Goulding effectively portrayed the attitudes of adolescents which shaped the meaning of the book as a whole. When children are without adult authority, they look for an adult like person for leadership. In the beginning of the book, when the boys realize they are all alone, they to Ralph for leadership. The Director Is The Conductor And The Audience s Feelings In cinematography, as Quentin Tarantino discusses in an interview, the director is the conductor and the audience s feelings are the instrument that directors utilize to evoke emotion. Directors have many tools they use to evoke the viewer s emotions and properly captivate the audience. One of the tools directors use to control the audience, in addition to special effects, is dialogue. Dialogue has the power to push an audience to tears when a character dies, or make them laugh at the same scene with different dialogue between the characters. This dialogue is only possible through the creation of a storyworld where absurd dialogue would be deemed appropriate. This is what makes Quentin Tarantinosuch an effective director, he has mastered the skill of controlling the audience s emotions through establishing a storyworld, and using dialogue with his horrifying scenes. His mastery of evoking emotioncan be seen in many of his films. Most notably in Pulp Fiction, which won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for best screenplay. In Pulp Fiction, the viewer finds him or herself in a whirlwind of emotion, laughing in horror at horrendous acts of violence. The emotions that are elicited while watching these intense scenes are possible because of the dialogue Quentin Tarantino uses. He masters the ability to evoke emotion through outrageous scenes in combination with memorable dialogue. These accolades offer you confidence that the Honda Accord Sedan is built to protect you while using technology to deliver consistent stability under all driving conditions. ... Of course, those two safety features are extremely important, but Honda goes even further and adds other attributes like brake assist and electronic brake force distribution for help with a hard brake. The addition of the Collision Mitigation Braking Systemв„ў,standard on all but two of the models, makes sure that you stop by delivering brake pressure if sensors detect an obstacle in your path like another car. Other systems like the Lane Departure Warning let you know when you may be drifting off course and into trouble. When you re driving along, you may not feel a tire that is losing pressure from running over a sharp item, so the Tire Pressure Monitoring System can detect and determine whether you re losing air pressure in an individual tire. This allows you time to get off to a safe place where you can replace the tire before you have a flat. Getting a flat tire at highway speeds can be very dangerous no matter how many safety features your vehicle has on it. Stability Much of your safety relies upon the stability of your vehicle, and the Honda Accord Sedan is equipped with a suspension that is built to keep you upright and moving

When The boys get overly excited, with Jack as the ringleader, and all but Piggy and Ralph rush off to the top of the mountain to build a fire. They forget about the conch and the system of rules they have just made. At the top of the mountain, Ralph uses Piggy s glasses to light the fire. They are careless and set fire to the mountain (Lord of the Flies). It seems that Piggy and Ralph are the only ones who actually put in an effort to keeping the fire going, while the others do not care as much. Throughout most of the book, the fire is the only significant object on the mountaintop. However, when the pilot comes, he becomes the only thing on the mountain. Climbing to the top of the mountain, they see a creature that bulged (Lord of the Flies). The creature that bulged is referring to the dead pilot, or the beast to the boys. Once they all believe that the beast is on the mountain, the boys avoid going up the mountain as much as possible, and move the fire elsewhere. To conclude, the mountaintop is seen as the holy ground or sanctuary for their precious fire because it gives the best view of the fire s smoke to potential

Unfortunately, many Ticos do not have access to these benefits which developed countries take for granted. Ryan E. Galt describes in his book Food Systems in an Unequal World: Pesticides, Vegetables, and Agrarian Capitalism in Costa Rica (as reviewed in the Journal of Latin American Geography) the heavy pesticide use by Costa Rican farmers in fruit and vegetable production. Costa Rican exporters work closely with importing countries to ensure their produce meets pesticide regulations (i.e., not too much residue left on the food). However, the government has no regulations for the Costa Rican internal market. Therefore any produce destined for local markets likely contains dangerous amounts of pesticide residue which are toxic when consumed by humans (Elbow). If Costa Rica is able to meet exporting requirements for pesticide residue on produce, surely those regulations could be extrapolated to include food destined for the internal market. This type of regulation could significantly improve the health of those who consume these products. Another factor contributing to poor health in Costa Rica is water quality. An example that shows the extent to which politically the American Revolution can be called an accelerated evolution rather than a cataclysmic revolution are the battles of Lexington and Concord. The increased want for independence led the colonists to create a continental army and begin their fight for change. In 1775, Massachusetts was proclaimed to be in an open rebellion and British General Thomas Gage was ordered to put a stop to it. On April 18, 1775 General Gage dispatched 700 soldiers to capture colonial leaders and supplies at Concord. Fortunately, Paul Revere and other riders were able to warn the patriots of the attack and at dawn militiamen confronted the British troops first at Lexington and then Concord. After these battles 73 British soldiers were dead, 174 wounded and 26 were missing. Americans suffered too with 49 Massachusetts militiamen killed and 39 wounded. The battles at Lexington and Concord show a more radical way that the colonists chose to achieve independence from Britain. Due to violence and a want for rapid change, the battles of Lexington and Concord show politically how the American Revolution can almost be a cataclysmic revolution. The American Revolution did not happen suddenly, but built up more as each new act
