EduFeedr is a tool that aggregates and visualizes student activity across different web applications used in open online courses. It addresses the problem of how to follow student learning activities that occur across multiple sites. ePortfolios Across CUNY
The CUNY Committee on Academic Technology, is comprised of 48 members representing 25 campuses across CUNY. The 18 members of the ePortfolio subcommittee are drawn from this body. The cross-campus representation and communication provides subcommittee members with an unusually rich vista of the diversity of ePortfolio plans and strategies across CUNY. A collectively authored and actively wiki on the CUNY Academic Commons -- an aggregated and integrated community ePortfolio - communicates information to all interested parties across CUNY. Among the information Available information includes a systematic comparison of campus eportfolio projects, and on the piloting and implementation of eportfolio projects. The wiki also showcases through live links to best practices, platforms, faculty development and other dimensions of implementation projects.
The cross-campus and collaborative nature of the eportfolio subcommittee wiki has facilitated our evolution into a venue for identifying, analyzing and addressing "universal concerns" within the body politic of the university. Most recently the committee successfully impacted recommended changes to the language of the CUNY IT Strategic Plan to preserve a commitment to flexibility. The new language, subsequently incorporated into the plan, reads as follows: "Since many campuses are in the process of implementing, piloting or considering eportfolios, and since CUNY experience and over a decade of research indicates that eportfolio solutions must be tailored to meet the specific needs of specific campuses, programs, and students, we will work to support flexible and independent campus-based solutions, while striving to also promote interoperability and shared standards, and to leverage economies and efficiencies of scale where possible."
Our presentation takes this achievement in communication and its language as the starting point. The individual speakers will outline key features that distinguish specific campus eportfolio programs and then lead a discussion among the participants on how this applies in the wider context of eportfolio programs.
The Tipping Point: SpringyCamp November 2012
This document discusses Samford University's efforts to increase library service usage among students through the use of Springshare widgets. In this session, three institutions will share their approaches to Moodle development and management so far and discuss their future roadmaps, detailing internal and external expectations and influences. The session will encourage participants to add their key development themes, allowing for identification of potential areas for collaboration between and within institutions. The University of Ballarat is in the middle of a transition to Moodle from Blackboard CE8. The transition to Moodle is taking place over 2010 with Blackboard to be switched off at the end of Semester 2, 2010. We are running two Moodel production instances, one for TAFE and one for Higher Education. It has been a โsmell of an oily ragโ project with all the challenges that entails.
Steve will speak about the LMS evaluation process, selection of a system and the early implementation issues. Adam will talk about the integration of our Moodle instances with Campus Solutions (HE Students Systems) and APTUS (TAFE Student System) and the training program being delivered to teaching staff.

The Open University of the Netherlands (OUNL) has adopted the concept of the personal learning and working environment (PLWE) as the future delivery platform of its educational services to students. This concept means that students should be able to shape their own personal virtual (learning) environment, based on individual tool and technology preferences .
To support this concept the OUNL faces the challenge of setting up an architecture and investing in the development of a set of educational services that can be integrated not only in the institutional learning environment, but that can also be merged with personal environments.
In this presentation we describe the first steps of a distance teaching university in its move towards this PLWE concept. This means reconsidering the role and position of the current, more traditional VLE, and developing new educational services that aim at getting students more committed and involved, inspired by the success of current web2.0 technology.
WorldCat Local Lists
WorldCat Local Lists is a tool that helps faculty connect students to library resources through course-specific lists. It allows faculty to centralize required readings and other course materials. Students can use the lists to find resources for assignments and create lists of their own potential sources. The lists provide direct access to online resources and interlibrary loan requests. The Open University of the Netherlands (OUNL) has adopted the concept of the personal learning and working environment (PLWE) as the future delivery platform of its educational services to students. This concept means that students should be able to shape their own personal virtual (learning) environment, based on individual tool and technology preferences .
To support this concept the OUNL faces the challenge of setting up an architecture and investing in the development of a set of educational services that can be integrated not only in the institutional learning environment, but that can also be merged with personal environments.
In this presentation we describe the first steps of a distance teaching university in its move towards this PLWE concept. This means reconsidering the role and position of the current, more traditional VLE, and developing new educational services that aim at getting students more committed and involved, inspired by the success of current web2.0 technology.
