Why I Choose To Go To College
Making big life decisions is something that everyone has to go through. Senior year, one must decide
what they are doing after high school, whether it be the military, college, or going straight into the
workforce. Personally, I am going to choose to continue my education and go to college. Deciding to
go to college brings upon many other decisions like what type of college, where the college is located,
what major to study, etc. Senior year is a great time for students to do research and start to think about
their future life plans. Baldwin Wallace and The University of Findlay are similar in size and major,
but due to the location difference, I am leaning towards Baldwin Wallace. After visiting the campus of
Baldwin Wallace this past spring, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
( Dining ). The housing on campus is just mediocre; the regular dorms are fairly small. Ideally, I
would like to live in the Davidson Commons which includes suite style rooms. These rooms include a
modern living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two to three bedrooms per unit ( Housing ). BW has a
physician assistant graduate program that I am interested in. After receiving an undergraduate degree
in either pre medicine, biology, or chemistry, one must apply to the graduate program. This two year
program is intense; it includes one year of required classwork and one year of clinicals ( Physician
Assistant Program ). Since both my parents work at the University of Findlay, I am able to receive free
tuition. This also means I can apply for the free tuition to exchange to other private schools. I have
applied for the tuition exchange program to receive exchange from University of Findlay to Baldwin
Wallace. The decisions for this program are strict and sometimes not decided until early spring
(Numbers). This is the only setback from the college decision making process. Even with the tuition
exchange, the student must still pay for room and board and the meal plan. At BW, the room and board

Measure For Measure, And, A Short Account Of The Destruction
The works discussed thus far illustrate that one must possess a strong sense of determination and a
lasting endurance in order to achieve a sense of freedom and independence from others. The works
Heptameron, Measure for Measure, and, A Short Account of the Destruction of the Indies not only
highlight this notion, but also demonstrate the advancements in which one achieves when one goes
against the grain. In which involves one finding their sense of identity. In the work Heptameron, a
group of characters tell short narratives depicting social and moral values and practices of men and
women in the sixteenth century. In one particular story the nun retaliates against the Prior who tried to

These works demonstrate that freedom is not a given but something for which one must strive. Silence
is the greatest inhibitor of progression. Silence not only inhibits one from freely expressing
themselves, but it also prevent one in expressing themselves freely. This silence was seen in the
collection of stories named Heptameron. In this collection of stories, one story in particular deals with
this idea of silence. This story features a Prior who tries to use his power to seduce a nun. The Prior,
being tired of trying to express his love for the nun, attempted to touch her breast. When she pushed
the Priors hands from her breast he responded, What business has a nun to know that she has breast?
In response to this she replied, and I am very certain that neither you nor anyone else shall ever touch
them (35). The tone in which Prior speaks suggest he is coming from a more of a dominant role. He
being a male figure only adds to him to feel entitled. Thus only displaying how significant the nuns
actions were. Not only does she physically push away the Prior, but she also retaliates by stating that
he has no role in tainting her holiness. This depicts the power of the Prior over the nun, for she is
supposed to be unmindful of her body. The nun s retribution shows her disapproval of being silent
about the Prior s actions. She allowed her voice to be heard, and because of that it inhabited the Priors
from causing more sexual harm. Thus

Sayed s Journey: Overcoming the Past and Looking Forward to the Future
Everyone in their lives has in one point or another, went through some sort of hardship. The real
question is, how did the person overcome this? And how did this hardship allow them to contribute
back to the people? Sayed Khan is an individual who can portray both going through times of hardship
and figuring out a way to overcome it. He says that overcoming it cannot be done effectively without
the support and help from others.
As Sayed recalls of the events that have led him up to where he is now, one can tell they were
something very emotional and heartfelt. I ve been through a lot as a kid, many people can t tell from

decision to become a mentor (Supreme Ordeal). It got him to think that whether the youth would
actually take him seriously or not. At this point, he talks about how he decides to take the spiritual

The Role Of Media Management On Crisis Communication
The importance of media management in crisis communication
Introduction
Crisis according to Laura (2013, p. 51), can be defined as any situation that threatens harms or cause
panic among people. Crisis may occur due to accidents, war, and flood or fire attack. During this
period, the public, who may be affected by the crisis because they are found in the situation or their
next of kin are involved in it, rely on a lot of information that is relayed by the media. Because of this,
the media must be careful of what they report. The information that the media convey to the public
according to Laura (2013, p. 50) may cool the situation, and reduce the tension that has been built by
the parties concerned. However, if they are not mindful of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

also researched on how the media should play this role. For instance, Taffel, A., in the year 2007 did
research on how to enhance Public Relations During the crisis (Taffel 2011, p. 112). In his research,
Taffel observed that, it is necessary to monitor the information that is relied on the public so that, the
image of the agency that is in crisis is not tarnished. In his research, Taffel had suggested that the
organization must balance the information that o is relayed the public (Taffel 2011, p. 112). He
observes that, it is necessary to balance between truths and lies so that the level of tension is reduced.
In the research, taffel adds that, if the media is allowed to report on everything, they may kill the
reputation that the company has.
In 2011, Yan, J., Brooke, F. L and Lucinda, L. A. did a research on the role of the social media in
effective crisis management. The research had been prompted by the manner in which a lot of
propaganda was spread via the social media during the Arab spring (Yan, Brookes and Lucinder 2011,
p.3). In the paper, the researchers observe that, crisis can be best managed by the medal if they can
control the information that they give to the public. The researchers observe that, if the media gives
information that is contradicting, the public may become more anxious.

This paper gives us information about Hurricane Sandy . It is known as Super storm Sandy , off the
record. It was the most disastrous hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season along with being the
second hurricane that created financial crisis in United States history. In 1953, the National Weather
Service started naming the storms after women. As a matter of fact, there are six lists of names for

Sandy wiped out at least 125 people in the United States that comprises of 60 in New York, 48 of them
in New York City, 34 in New Jersey and 16 in Pennsylvania. The storm dropped heavy snow in West
Virginia killing seven people. Sandy killed 71 people in the Caribbean, including 54 in Haiti. Sandy
was responsible for creating $62 billion damage and other disasters in the U.S., the huge part of it in
New York and New Jersey. It is the second storm in U.S. history for creating financial crisis, after
2005 s Hurricane Katrina, which caused $128 billion in damage in inflation adjusted dollars. Sandy
created at least $315 million of destruction in the Caribbean. Sandy ruined or demolished homes and
businesses, more than 72,000 in New Jersey alone. In Cuba, the number of blemished homes has been

Road Warrior: How to Break into Commercial Truck Driving

the country. Read on to learn how to break into the field of commercial truck driving.
Get a Commercial Learners Permit (CLP)
Driving skills and experience are a must for breaking into commercial truck driving. The CLP allows
the holder to drive on public roads with a CDL holder with them. Keep in mind that getting the permit
isn t like a driver s license that just involves passing a knowledge test. Most state DMVs will check
the candidates driving record for the last 10 years in all states. Most state DMVs also require a DOT

However, every state s DMV will be able to verify specific state wide laws. For example, some states
require special endorsements for trucks carrying hazardous materials while others require special
endorsements for driving trucks with triple trailers. Most DMVs require people to pass an exam that
covers laws, equipment and driving techniques. Similar to a driver s license, there will probably be a
vehicle inspection and driving skill demonstration.
Lease or Loan a Commercial Truck
Having a truck will help you break into commercial truck driving. A lease or loan will both require
monthly payments and provide a rig, but there are notable differences between the two. A commercial
truck lease gives you the right to use the truck as you see fit, but there are many rules that apply. The
biggest benefit of leasing a truck is that most of the minor repairs and major maintenance jobs will be
covered. On the other hand, a commercial truck loan is like a car loan because you will own the truck
once you finish making payments. Some truckers prefer a loan because a lease may end up costing

Foster Care Has Been A Forgotten, Ignored Topic, But It
Foster care has been a forgotten, ignored topic, but it is the reality for tons of children across the
world. This fact brings up the question, should every human be allowed to have children? On one
hand, some argue that it is a human s right and instinct to have children. On the contrary, others argue
that many people are incapable, too uninformed, and unstable to raise children, but it certainly doesn t
stop them from having them. This way of living is the primary source of why more and more children
are ending up in foster care, which fits this statistic that, There are more than 400,000 children in
foster care today, up from 270,000 in the early 1980s (Jost 1). All these children are all coming from

These couples will then provide a comfortable home, love, and care for eternity (Jost 2). This image in
many ways is false. Foster care children are often neglected and abused from former residences, with
heavy emotional trauma. Many times when children get adopted, they are put back into repeating
situation patterns of torment and pain. It seems that these children are traveling down a fated road and
have no directions on how to get back home. Where does this road start? To sum it up, it starts with
unplanned pregnancies, drug, and alcohol, homeless, abused and neglected households which are the
main linking factor for foster care children (Jost 20). It is appalling to acknowledge that people like
this are bringing children into the world to only provide them instability and empty voids. Some may
argue it is indeed a human s right to reproduce but is it truly? What gives people the right to execute
these actions, knowing only to corrupt their child? Sadly, it s hard to justify human instincts or selfish
desire. From Emerging, the author Francis Fukuyama states that only human beings can formulate,
debate, and modify abstract rules of justice (152), meaning that humans can do as they please no
matter the consequence because humans consider themselves supreme and above. In an argument
against this statement, can all humans fall under this belief and consciousness? The people who treat
children like animals, they

Apocalypse Now is a film directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and although it comes across as a war
film at first glance, Apocalypse Now is a thriller/drama about the human psyche. Using no surrealist
imagery, and a grounded realistic mis en scene, the film effectively uses cinematic techniques such as

situate the viewer within a surrealist world of war and darkness. The film provides us with an intimate

Willards voice over plays an essential part in the film; since he is the protagonist, the voice over gives
context to everything that is happening, and functions to create his character. Willards voice over
serves to provide context, which is demonstrated in the opening shot. Without the voice over, the
viewer would be unaware whether they were seeing actual Vietnam, but the Vietnam Willard is
thinking about. The voice over begins with Saigon, shit. I m still only in Saigon. , therefore situating
Willard in a space within the diegesis, and goes on to explain the rest of the scene. Secondly, the voice

Literary Analysis Of Contents Of A Dead Man s Pocket
Is money more important than family? Many families are broken because a somewhat loving guardian
is so obsessed with work, or better yet, the money. From long, distress filled tears to painful mornings
and nights (and everything in between), this situation unfortunately faces thousands of kids daily.
People with jobs and families should be against choosing their job over family because it allows for a
closer bond to form, more family time, and everlasting love for eachother. The story Contents of a
Dead Man s Pocket and the TED Talk Can we all have it all? featuring Anne Marie Slaughter will be
represented in this essay.
This topic is perfectly explained in the short story, Contents of a Dead Man s Pocket . The setting
takes place during the mid 1950 s, when expectations were quite strict and freedom was still rather
restricted. Freedom was restrained because this is around the time in which Civil Rights Movement
started and expectations were strict because everyone was expected to follow and obey the rules that
society has created. As demonstrated in the story, Tom Benecke stays in his apartment and attempts to
complete his month long project (which will help him earn a raise) instead of going to enjoy a film
with his wife, Clare. Clare seems upset and goes on without Tom. As the story goes on, Tom s paper

Analysis Of Wonder Woman
At First the World didn t Deserve Wonder Woman
When we think about the genre that is Superheroes, there are many names that come to mind
Superman, Thor, Batman, and Ironman to name a few. That the superhero world is a boy s club, were
the focus is on them saving the world and while there are women in the genre they have not been the
focus, but recently that changed with the release of Wonder Woman. Given the recent political issues
and what many feels is an attack on the female form, Wonder Woman was a bright light for not only
for women and little girls alike, but for the superhero genre as well. Wonder Woman is the ideal of girl
power and strength. She is as strong and courageous as any man; thus, she has earned the respect of
both females and males around the world.
We were first introduced to Wonder Woman during World War II, by William Moulton Marston, a
Harvard trained psychologist and lawyer. When we start with the obvious that being that Wonder
Woman was the first major superhero film with a woman as the lead, something that many felt would
never be successful, but with $103.1 million made on opening weekend and an entire gross of $409
million , this film was wildly successful, and included with that success it was also the biggest
opening ever for a female director . Many people however would argue that Catwoman that starred
Halle Berry was the first female superhero movie, but they would be remiss to learn that Catwoman
was never considered a superhero, but in

Argumentative Essay On Stickers
Plate 1
GRAFFITI: STICKERS
Sticker art (also known as sticker bombing, sticker slapping, and sticker tagging) is a form of street art
in which an image or message is publicly displayed using stickers. Stickers leave a mark that can
affect a person s mood, cause thought, and inspire a reaction. Stickers are cheaper, more effective, and
less risky than other forms of graffiti (tags, throw ups, etc). The most common stickers found in Lower
Manhattan include large scale wheatpaste stickers and small vinyl stickers that are difficult to remove.
As long as stickers are being put up faster than they weather or are cleaned, they are accumulating.
For cities, stickers provide a constant maintenance battle.

Lieutenant Colonel Oliver Laurence North of the United State s National Security Council (NSC) had

What Are The Negative Effects Of Thatcher Policy
Negative Effects of Thatcher s Policies to Britain
Introduction
Margret Thatcher was the Prime Minister in the United Kingdom between 1979 to 1990. Although
other people may be of the opinion that her policy reforms were of good intents to Britain, a critical
analysis from a neutral viewpoint may reveal the opposite. As Goodwin puts it, Thatcher`s policies
towards the European integration were pragmatic in practice, but aggressive in tone . The policies
were characterized by public articulation that was thought to be of best interests to the United
Kingdom. Generally, Thatcher`s policies were implemented after the claim that they would promote
small states, free markets, privatization, cut taxes and lower inflation2. However, a more indepth
analysis can reveal how the policies resulted in mass unemployment, social housing crisis,
privatization, reduced powers of trade unions, poverty and inequality and poll tax. As it will be shown
by the evidence presented herein, Thatcher s policies did more damage than good to the interests of
Britain. The following are the various negative consequences that resulted from the implementation of
Thatcher s policies. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Another example would be that an Air hostess would require different language skills so they can

Relationship Between Democracy And Economic Growth
Economic growth of a country is something that depends on a number of factors. In this dissertation, I
will investigate the effect of democracy and political freedom on economic growth. Both democracy
and autocracy have various examples of leading countries to economic growth as well as deterioration
of the economy. Along with the nature of the political regime in the nation there are several other
factors that influence economic growth in a country. I will also look in detail at the effects of these
variables on growth and will also later isolate their effects since the direct relationship between
political regime and growth can be established. Looking at non democracy in countries such as China
and the Arab countries, one may feel that democratic institutions are not important for economic
growth. Some may even go ahead and term it as a disturbance in the path of growth, for instance in a
paper written by Daren Acemoglu et al titled Democracy Does Cause Growth , the authors described
the view that some consider democracy a hindrance. Robert Barro presents the academic view on the
issue and says that the key lesson to be learnt is that democracy is not a key to growth and neither do

Analysis Of Mama In A Raisin In The Sun
In the play A Raisin in the Sun Mama has the role of being a mother figure for all of the characters.
She is a very outgoing women who loves her family. Overall, Mama wants her family to succeed in
life. In addition, when it comes to momentous family decisions she does what she believes is best for
everyone. However, other members of family sometimes have contradicting beliefs, which makes
them feel like their house is matriarchal. I believe that their house is Matriarchal, but Mama s
decisiveness is for the best of everyone. In conclusion, Mama is not a tyrant because she makes
decisions for the best of her family, the money belongs to her, and she wants to see her dream come
true.
All of Mama s conclusions are made because she has hope that it will help her family in the future.
When she orders people to do things her reasoning is love. When Travis doesn t do his household
chores. Mama will do it, but not because she wants him to be spoiled, but for him experience a nice
life. Adding to that, she does not want Travis to learn how to work at a young age because then he will
never be able undergo that great life. With him not being able to have a nice live might result and his
dreams getting crushed. Mama once said to Ruth what you fix for his breakfast (Act1 sc2). Ruth then
became very defensive and made sure Mama knew she feeds Travis. In this Ruth is interpreting Mama
s intentions the wrong way. Mama is just checking in, so she knows that not only Travis is getting

Ichabod Crane In Margaret Atwood s Sleepy Hollow
SLEEPY HOLLOW 1. Legend of Sleepy Hollow is today perhaps the most told story at Halloween.
Is it really a ghost story? What scary passages can you find in the story? Answer: No it s not a ghost
story but there s some scary passages like for instance in the paragraph 59. As he approached the
stream, his heart began to thump; he summoned up, however, all his resolution, gave his horse half a
score of kicks in the ribs, and attempted to dash briskly across the bridge; but instead of starting
forward, the perverse old animal made a lateral movement, and ran broadside against the fence.
Ichabod, whose fears increased with the delay, jerked the reins on the other side, and kicked lustily
with the contrary foot: it was all in vain; his steed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

snipe nose, so that it looked like a weather cock, perched upon his spindle neck, to tell which way the

Ecology And Plant Ecology
In this article examples are going to be discussed of the application of molecular biology in the field
of plant ecology, what molecular biology is as well as what plant ecology is. Plant ecology is one of
the branches in the scientific field of ecology that mainly focus on plant population and their
surroundings (McMahon, 2016). Plant ecologists also look at other factors that have an impact on the
plants and their environment. According to the MIT Department of Biology, plant molecular biology is
the study where biological data such as plants genetics, genomes, biochemical and the cell biologics is
inserted into computers to understand the development, growth and physiology of plants at a
molecular level. The examples that is going to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Researchers do not just look at the plant but keeps in mind how the plants interact with each other and
their environment. A Plant ecologist do not just look at plants but also the soil conditions, animals and
other influences that might have an impact on the plants environment. According to McMahon (2016)
plant ecology is not just a plant itself but, is everything from understanding the plants environment
functions as well as the interaction of humans with the natural environment. The area most focused on
in plant ecology is topics like climate change, plant diseases and the symbiotic relationship between
plant species and how plants spread in nature (McMahon, 2016). Plant ecology involves a lot of field
work because the plant needs to be viewed in their natural habitat to understand why the plant looks
like it does. Plant ecology covers a wide range of research for instance the study of plants growing in a
specific ecosystem for example the rainforest, or a specific area that is of interest, like a population of
plants that is growing next to a polluted river or dam. It can also help researchers to study endangered
ecosystems and plant populations including not vascular plants like mosses. Plants make up a very
large part of the natural environment. Plants do not just provide people and animals with food but also
with shelter for animals, prevents erosion and the most important part is that plants provide us with
oxygen (McMahon,

Little Ships During The Operation Dynamo
The role played by the Little Ships during the Operation Dynamo has been heavily mythicized by
contemporary accounts of Dunkirk. For instance, a heading in The Times from June 4, 1940 referred
to the civilian vessels at Dunkirk as a Magnificent Spirit . Furthermore, the column noted how
Fishermen, yachtsmen, yacht builders, yacht clubs, river boatmen responded in Britain s time of need
and how the civilian sailors manned their craft with volunteer crews and rushed them to the assembly
point . Similarly, another piece from The Times helped illustrate a sense of mass, spontaneous civilian
participation by making reference to how the only complaints people had about volunteering their
vessels Dunkirk came from boat owners who could not get themselves onboard in time to go to their
boats . Newspapers publishing articles such as the two noted above helped form the public conception
of the Little Ships as a mass armada of selfless volunteers who helped rescue countless Allied troops
and delivered them to British coastal ports. The pinnacle of this fantasifull narrative was Paul Gallico
s short story, The Snow Goose, published in The Saturday Evening Post. Within said novella, the
protagonist narrates a romanticized rendition of the Little Ship story where every tug and fishing boat
or power launch that could propel itself was heading across the Channel ... to rescue as many as
possible from the German fire . The main driving force behind the British Admiralty s decision to

Buy Nothing Day Thesis Statement
Americans and others around the world are often struck with what is deemed shopaholic syndrome.
The symptoms of this prevalent matter are spending preposterous amounts of time and money
shopping. To treat this, a Buy Nothing Day was conceived and established in some countries. As the
name implies, it is day when people choose to buy nothing to fight against and raise awareness of
overconsumption and growing consumerism in our world. There are a myriad of flaws in the logic of
the Buy Nothing Day; therefore, the Buy Nothing Day is not the transcendent solution to this problem.
(Claim) This day could be required for the citizens to follow, or it can be through optional
participation. If this day is optional, those who don t over consume will participate, while those who
over consume will choose to engage in a nice day of shopping. An exemplification of this is
homework. Children who need to do their homework the most tend to be rather lax and not do ...

There is an overconsumption problem in our culture that needs to be solved. Awareness that brings
change is necessary. Will a Buy Nothing Day raise the suitable awareness? There is evidence that
suggests it won t, hence other holidays, but if it does, what does this awareness solve? Just because
awareness is raised for an issue doesn t mean it will be a step toward solving a real problem. Several
may argue that this day would be a positive if it were required since it would reach all America. Even
so, this would further cause a routine and not bring about change. Also, forcing people not to buy
anything for a day doesn t connote a change of heart in their opinions on consumerism. Consumerism
will still occur equally as much as it did in the past, even if one day out of the year of buying nothing
is forced upon the American people. The arguments for a Buy Nothing Day may mean well, but they
don t include quintessential change.

Relationship between Art and Technology in 1960s
Spurred on by exhibitions, industry sponsorship and education programmes, the artists of the 1960s
began to grapple with the space age. The launch of Sputnik in 1957 prompted a new interest in the
world of the machine, yet the artistic approach to technology differed from the Futurist and
Constructivist precedent. Technology did not hold utopian potential; rather the artists of the 1960s
adopted varied approaches, ranging from sheer admiration to fearful pessimism. However, by the end
of the 1960s technology became closely associated with the American war effort. The negativity that
developed in response resulted in the technological work of artists such as Jean Tinguely and Robert
Rauschenberg being pushed aside in favour of Conceptualism. Jean Tinguely s Homage to New York
(1960) and Robert Rauschenberg s Soundings (1968) will be used to explore how these particular
artists responded to the rising technology, and the extent to which artist and scientist collaborated.
The technological works of Tinguely can be classified as kinetic due to their incorporation of
mechanical movement. For Pontus Hultén the inclusion of movement implied a complete rejection of
the holy values of art , the traditional characteristics of sculpture were abandoned and kineticism
projected sculpture onto a different course. Tinguely, like Rauschenberg, used technology as a means
to question and investigate his society. For the artist of the 1960s technology was a tool; it offered new

Nt1330 Unit 3 Types Of Dngs
1.URL Type
The first step is to identify whether the URL is of http or https. In the beginning, network
administrators had to figure out how to share the information they put out on the Internet. It is agreed
on a procedure for exchanging information and called it HyperText Transfer Protocol. Using HTTPS,
the computers agree on a code between them, and then they scramble the messages using that code so
that no one in between can read them. This keeps your information safe from hackers. It uses the code
on a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), sometimes called Transport Layer Security (TLS) to send the
information back and forth.
2. DNS Operation
The next step is to obtain the IP address from the domain name. This is performed by DNS. A DNS
lookup, in a general sense, is the process by which a DNS record is returned from a DNS server.
Interconnected computers, servers and smart phones need to know how to translate the email
addresses and domain names people use into meaningful numerical addresses. A DNS lookup
performs this function.
The two types of DNS lookups are forward DNS lookups and reverse DNS lookups. Forward DNS is
a type of DNS request in which a domain name is used to obtain its corresponding IP address. A DNS
server is said to resolve a domain name when it returns its IP address. A forward DNS ... Show more

Music Is The Greatest Singer Of The 20th Century
The culture of music is one of the most ever evolving outlets society has, people from all around the
world can find common ground between simple beats and rythyms. Music genres are built off of one
another to develop new and unique genres, ranging from classical blues to heavy metal bands. In
between the years 1960 and 2010 America has had over 13 diverse genres rule over musics Hot 100.
Numerous talented artists have advanced music to what the world knows it as today. Frank Sinatra is
one of the most well known and influential singers throughout the history of music, indisputably being
the greatest singer of the 20th Century. Sinatra engineered the idea of colloquially conventional, his
music was a mix of romantics and compelling truth. In 1939 Frank Sinatra released, From the Bottom
of My Heart a classic orchestra based song showing the formal romance in his songs. In between the
years 1943 and 1946 Sinatra had 17 Top 10 chart singles. After his limelight his career earnings
dwindled down to $30,000 a record, as music taste shifted away from Sinatra s style. He returned to
fame as an actor throughout the 50 s to regain his fame, and had another opportunity at the music
industry in the 60 s. Little did he know in 1966 through 1967 he would released three of his Top 10
singles. (Simon, and Shuster. Frank Sinatra Biography. Rolling Stone.) Another band that allowed a
positive change in music was The Beatles, who gained their fame through their success as composers.

society. Often time in these songs they discuss about politics, love, issues, many problems that people
can relate to and have a connection with someone. However, there are those artists that are seen in the
category similar to Gangsta Rap and those are still present in 2016. Therefore, our perception of hip

Benefits of Technology in the Classroom
Do you ever think about how much technology has changed the way we work, learn, play, and even
think? Technology is a major beneficiary to society; especially in the classroom where we get the
opportunity to learn and grow. In recent years, schools have begun implementing tablets and other
devices in the classroom to better student s education. The use of technology in the classroom
provides more of a personalized learning experience and gives students a widespread availability to
engage in learning. Technology is necessary in today s modern globe, it is basically the pen and paper
of our time and the lens through which we experience much of our world (Warlick, 2013). Technology

One of the more serious arguments presented by critics would be based on the topic of money. They
are afraid of how costly it will be to constantly upgrade and keep up with the rapid changes in
technology. 63% of schools and communities say that their budget is what is keeping them from
incorporating technology in their classroom (PBS, 2013). I find this to be an excuse to not have
technology in school, simply because those particular teachers and school is just not for it. In 2009,
President Barack Obama initiated the Educate to Innovate plan, which is meant to help American
students achieve better in school through the use of technology; since then Obama has been able to
raise $4.2 billion for this cause. This initiative is funded by leading companies, foundations, and
science and engineering societies ( President Obama on Education: Educate to Innovate , 2013). Even
if some schools are not being funded, not all students need a smart device, just one device in the
classroom can help motivate and boost the students learning experience in the classroom. The use of
technology has opened the door for e textbooks, email, and the online submission of paperwork; all of
these have allowed us to go green and save money. Instead of printing things out on paper, digital
devices allow us to complete all these tasks for free and in a faster and more efficient manner.
Teachers also say that it can be difficult for them to monitor all their students to

McCarthyism turned Americans against each other by installing paranoia with Soviet threats and

local school boards to the White House itself. (paragraph 8) Additionally, Roberts states, Critics said

A major part of my role is the development and delivery of training materials. This involves a degree

Amnesia Psychology
Amnesia and Memory Loss: The Psychological Phenomenon
Introduction
For my psychology project, I chose the topic of amnesia. I have always been curious about memory
loss ever since I was a little kid. As a young, I watched movies like Finding Nemo were there was a
character, named Dory, who suffered from it. I have also been exposed stories from my parents, about
our ancestors, who suffered from alzheimer s, a disease that contributes to chronic memory loss.
Because of this, I became very curious about amnesia, as well as the concept of memory loss as a
whole. Prior to my research, I created a list of questions that I intended on answering. The questions
that I had were the following: How can we prevent amnesia and memory loss? What are the side
effects of amnesia? And, what are the different types of amnesia?
Overview ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Right off the bat, I can tell you that it relates directly to the unit on biological sciences, as well as our
developmental psychology unit. We all learned that some memory loss is normal as we age, almost
everyone experiences it in some point in their life. That being said, there have been some rare
instances where octogenarians, or people in their 80 s, retained better working memories than people
in their 20 s (which is often associated as the peak of human mental capacity).
However, most of the time scientists can see a sharp decline in memory, in most octogenarians, as well
as nonagenarians. Moving more towards the biological side of things, normal memory loss that
accompanies normal aging occurs in the brain due to changes in the prefrontal cortex. Meaning, that
as we get older, the less things we may tend to

Effects Of Marxism On The Bourgeoisie
Marxism is a clear cut view of the French revolution. It gives a central role to the Bourgeoisie for
being the main inspirators for its cause. This is due to the fact that it was widely believed to be them
who stood to gain the most. Lefebvre was the main and most revered of all Marxist historians. His
belief is that the year 1789 was the one in which the Bourgeoisie took power. They had been waiting
for centuries in order to do this, according to Lefebvre, and when they had finally reached sufficient
numbers and wealth they took the initiative. They owed most of their success to a shift of what was
considered important in society. In medieval society, the landed Aristocracy had dominated. They
owed much of their success and wealth to the land. This is not the case in the eighteenth century when
the impetus changed and economic power, personal abilities and confidence became more desirable
than land.1Although the Bourgeoisie was growing in vast numbers, the Nobility had one thing over on
them, Social Status.
This leads on to the main crux of the Marxist argument, that there was a class struggle between the
Nobles and the Bourgeois. The Nobility were being left far behind and the Bourgeois were steaming
ahead, getting wealthier and more powerful by the day. The Bourgeois were growing richer through
Commerce and Industry. Ships left for the Levant, Africa, and the Caribbean in droves. Coal and Iron
production was going full steam ahead, along with cloth making and Western

Shepherds Manor
What shepherds produced supported the manor with its economy. Animals had a big part in the manor,
and produced a lot of goods thanks to the shepherds. Pigs were the most numerous of livestock and
they could mainly support themselves by foraging in the woods. Cows were kept to breed oxen for the
plow team. Sheep and goats were used for milk and cheese and sheep was also used for wool (Gies
and J Gies 22). Landowners had trading links with traders abroad, but peasants dealt with travelling
merchants. Large numbers of sheep were bred and taken care of to produce a lot of wool and enough
wool was made for families and abroad, and families in little cottages turned it from rough wool to

Shepherd s produced many different goods for feudalism. Livestock grazed in tofts, this livestock
being cows, oxen, pigs, and chickens. Villagers owned sheep, but they were not kept in tofts. In the
summer and fall, they went to the marsh to graze and in the winter, they went to pens in the manor
fold so the lord could profit from the manure (it was very valuable because it was used as fertilizer)
(Gies and J Gies 35). Wool became a backbone to medieval economy, and even lords, abbots and
bishops started to count wealth in terms of sheep (Johnson). Wool became taxed and this helped the
King fund his military endeavors (Johnson). These goods helped support the different ranks of
feudalism. The goods shepherds provided helped out the lord and the king especially. Wool was a very
popular product that was produced by shepherds, and was bought and sold constantly. The king got all
tax on this, so he got a lot of money. This helped him to fund the military, which supported him for
protection, but also the lords and peasants. The lords benefited from the manure produced from the
sheep shepherds raised. They got money from this and could have used it for many reasons, personally
or for the people of feudalism. Feudalism and manorialism gave people ranks, economy, and military
that helped people live their lives in the dark times of medieval ages. The shepherds

  • 2. Why I Choose To Go To College Making big life decisions is something that everyone has to go through. Senior year, one must decide what they are doing after high school, whether it be the military, college, or going straight into the workforce. Personally, I am going to choose to continue my education and go to college. Deciding to go to college brings upon many other decisions like what type of college, where the college is located, what major to study, etc. Senior year is a great time for students to do research and start to think about their future life plans. Baldwin Wallace and The University of Findlay are similar in size and major, but due to the location difference, I am leaning towards Baldwin Wallace. After visiting the campus of Baldwin Wallace this past spring, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... ( Dining ). The housing on campus is just mediocre; the regular dorms are fairly small. Ideally, I would like to live in the Davidson Commons which includes suite style rooms. These rooms include a modern living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two to three bedrooms per unit ( Housing ). BW has a physician assistant graduate program that I am interested in. After receiving an undergraduate degree in either pre medicine, biology, or chemistry, one must apply to the graduate program. This two year program is intense; it includes one year of required classwork and one year of clinicals ( Physician Assistant Program ). Since both my parents work at the University of Findlay, I am able to receive free tuition. This also means I can apply for the free tuition to exchange to other private schools. I have applied for the tuition exchange program to receive exchange from University of Findlay to Baldwin Wallace. The decisions for this program are strict and sometimes not decided until early spring (Numbers). This is the only setback from the college decision making process. Even with the tuition exchange, the student must still pay for room and board and the meal plan. At BW, the room and board and Jacket Express ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The works Heptameron, Measure for Measure, and, A Short Account of the Destruction of the Indies not only highlight this notion, but also demonstrate the advancements in which one achieves when one goes against the grain. In which involves one finding their sense of identity. In the work Heptameron, a group of characters tell short narratives depicting social and moral values and practices of men and women in the sixteenth century. These works demonstrate that freedom is not a given but something for which one must strive. Silence is the greatest inhibitor of progression. Silence not only inhibits one from freely expressing themselves, but it also prevent one in expressing themselves freely. This silence was seen in the collection of stories named Heptameron. In this collection of stories, one story in particular deals with this idea of silence. This story features a Prior who tries to use his power to seduce a nun. The Prior, being tired of trying to express his love for the nun, attempted to touch her breast. When she pushed the Priors hands from her breast he responded, What business has a nun to know that she has breast? In response to this she replied, and I am very certain that neither you nor anyone else shall ever touch them (35). The tone in which Prior speaks suggest he is coming from a more of a dominant role. He being a male figure only adds to him to feel entitled. Thus only displaying how significant the nuns actions were. Not only does she physically push away the Prior, but she also retaliates by stating that he has no role in tainting her holiness. This depicts the power of the Prior over the nun, for she is supposed to be unmindful of her body. The nun s retribution shows her disapproval of being silent about the Prior s actions. She allowed her voice to be heard, and because of that it inhabited the Priors from causing more sexual harm. Thus ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Role Of Media Management On Crisis Communication The importance of media management in crisis communication Introduction Crisis according to Laura (2013, p. 51), can be defined as any situation that threatens harms or cause panic among people. Crisis may occur due to accidents, war, and flood or fire attack. This fact brings up the question, should every human be allowed to have children? On one hand, some argue that it is a human s right and instinct to have children. On the contrary, others argue that many people are incapable, too uninformed, and unstable to raise children, but it certainly doesn t stop them from having them. This way of living is the primary source of why more and more children are ending up in foster care, which fits this statistic that, There are more than 400,000 children in foster care today, up from 270,000 in the early 1980s (Jost 1). Foster care children are often neglected and abused from former residences, with heavy emotional trauma. Many times when children get adopted, they are put back into repeating situation patterns of torment and pain. It seems that these children are traveling down a fated road and have no directions on how to get back home. Where does this road start? To sum it up, it starts with unplanned pregnancies, drug, and alcohol, homeless, abused and neglected households which are the main linking factor for foster care children (Jost 20). It is appalling to acknowledge that people like this are bringing children into the world to only provide them instability and empty voids. Some may argue it is indeed a human s right to reproduce but is it truly? What gives people the right to execute these actions, knowing only to corrupt their child? Sadly, it s hard to justify human instincts or selfish desire. From Emerging, the author Francis Fukuyama states that only human beings can formulate, debate, and modify abstract rules of justice (152), meaning that humans can do as they please no matter the consequence because humans consider themselves supreme and above. Freedom was restrained because this is around the time in which Civil Rights Movement started and expectations were strict because everyone was expected to follow and obey the rules that society has created. As Goodwin puts it, Thatcher`s policies towards the European integration were pragmatic in practice, but aggressive in tone . The policies were characterized by public articulation that was thought to be of best interests to the United Kingdom. Generally, Thatcher`s policies were implemented after the claim that they would promote small states, free markets, privatization, cut taxes and lower inflation2. • 20. Relationship Between Democracy And Economic Growth Economic growth of a country is something that depends on a number of factors. In this dissertation, I will investigate the effect of democracy and political freedom on economic growth. Both democracy and autocracy have various examples of leading countries to economic growth as well as deterioration of the economy. Along with the nature of the political regime in the nation there are several other factors that influence economic growth in a country. I will also look in detail at the effects of these variables on growth and will also later isolate their effects since the direct relationship between political regime and growth can be established. Looking at non democracy in countries such as China and the Arab countries, one may feel that democratic institutions are not important for economic growth. Some may even go ahead and term it as a disturbance in the path of growth, for instance in a paper written by Daren Acemoglu et al titled Democracy Does Cause Growth , the authors described the view that some consider democracy a hindrance. Robert Barro presents the academic view on the issue and says that the key lesson to be learnt is that democracy is not a key to growth and neither do more political rights mean that there are more chances of economic growth (Barro 1997, pp. 1 and 11). The literature written with regards to the relationship between democracy and growth mainly suggests that there is a relationship in existence. Robert J Barro published a paper in 1996 where he ... For instance, a heading in The Times from June 4, 1940 referred to the civilian vessels at Dunkirk as a Magnificent Spirit . Furthermore, the column noted how Fishermen, yachtsmen, yacht builders, yacht clubs, river boatmen responded in Britain s time of need and how the civilian sailors manned their craft with volunteer crews and rushed them to the assembly point . Similarly, another piece from The Times helped illustrate a sense of mass, spontaneous civilian participation by making reference to how the only complaints people had about volunteering their vessels Dunkirk came from boat owners who could not get themselves onboard in time to go to their boats . Newspapers publishing articles such as the two noted above helped form the public conception of the Little Ships as a mass armada of selfless volunteers who helped rescue countless Allied troops and delivered them to British coastal ports. The pinnacle of this fantasifull narrative was Paul Gallico s short story, The Snow Goose, published in The Saturday Evening Post. The launch of Sputnik in 1957 prompted a new interest in the world of the machine, yet the artistic approach to technology differed from the Futurist and Constructivist precedent. Technology did not hold utopian potential; rather the artists of the 1960s adopted varied approaches, ranging from sheer admiration to fearful pessimism. However, by the end of the 1960s technology became closely associated with the American war effort. The negativity that developed in response resulted in the technological work of artists such as Jean Tinguely and Robert Rauschenberg being pushed aside in favour of Conceptualism. For Pontus Hultén the inclusion of movement implied a complete rejection of the holy values of art , the traditional characteristics of sculpture were abandoned and kineticism projected sculpture onto a different course. DNS Operation The next step is to obtain the IP address from the domain name. This is performed by DNS. A DNS lookup, in a general sense, is the process by which a DNS record is returned from a DNS server. Interconnected computers, servers and smart phones need to know how to translate the email addresses and domain names people use into meaningful numerical addresses. A DNS lookup performs this function. The two types of DNS lookups are forward DNS lookups and reverse DNS lookups. Forward DNS is a type of DNS request in which a domain name is used to obtain its corresponding IP address. A DNS server is said to resolve a domain name when it returns its IP address. A forward DNS ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Music Is The Greatest Singer Of The 20th Century The culture of music is one of the most ever evolving outlets society has, people from all around the world can find common ground between simple beats and rythyms. Music genres are built off of one another to develop new and unique genres, ranging from classical blues to heavy metal bands. In between the years 1960 and 2010 America has had over 13 diverse genres rule over musics Hot 100. Numerous talented artists have advanced music to what the world knows it as today. In 1939 Frank Sinatra released, From the Bottom of My Heart a classic orchestra based song showing the formal romance in his songs. In between the years 1943 and 1946 Sinatra had 17 Top 10 chart singles. After his limelight his career earnings dwindled down to $30,000 a record, as music taste shifted away from Sinatra s style. The Saturation Of Hip Hop The Saturation of Hip Hop Hip hop has gone a far way since the 1980s. in the year 2016, hip hop is considered popular and many people, no matter the color of your skin or where you come from are seen listening to Hip Hop. I personally believe that hip hop has become more acceptable in our society. Often time in these songs they discuss about politics, love, issues, many problems that people can relate to and have a connection with someone. However, there are those artists that are seen in the category similar to Gangsta Rap and those are still present in 2016. Therefore, our perception of hip hop has changed since the 1970s/80s. Technology is a major beneficiary to society; especially in the classroom where we get the opportunity to learn and grow. In recent years, schools have begun implementing tablets and other devices in the classroom to better student s education. The use of technology in the classroom provides more of a personalized learning experience and gives students a widespread availability to engage in learning. Technology is necessary in today s modern globe, it is basically the pen and paper of our time and the lens through which we experience much of our world (Warlick, 2013). One of the more serious arguments presented by critics would be based on the topic of money. They are afraid of how costly it will be to constantly upgrade and keep up with the rapid changes in technology. 63% of schools and communities say that their budget is what is keeping them from incorporating technology in their classroom (PBS, 2013). I find this to be an excuse to not have technology in school, simply because those particular teachers and school is just not for it. In 2009, President Barack Obama initiated the Educate to Innovate plan, which is meant to help American students achieve better in school through the use of technology; since then Obama has been able to raise $4.2 billion for this cause. This initiative is funded by leading companies, foundations, and science and engineering societies ( President Obama on Education: Educate to Innovate , 2013). Even if some schools are not being funded, not all students need a smart device, just one device in the classroom can help motivate and boost the students learning experience in the classroom. The use of technology has opened the door for e textbooks, email, and the online submission of paperwork; all of these have allowed us to go green and save money. Instead of printing things out on paper, digital devices allow us to complete all these tasks for free and in a faster and more efficient manner. • 36. Amnesia Psychology Amnesia and Memory Loss: The Psychological Phenomenon Introduction For my psychology project, I chose the topic of amnesia. I have always been curious about memory loss ever since I was a little kid. As a young, I watched movies like Finding Nemo were there was a character, named Dory, who suffered from it. I have also been exposed stories from my parents, about our ancestors, who suffered from alzheimer s, a disease that contributes to chronic memory loss. Because of this, I became very curious about amnesia, as well as the concept of memory loss as a whole. Prior to my research, I created a list of questions that I intended on answering. The questions that I had were the following: How can we prevent amnesia and memory loss? What are the side effects of amnesia? And, what are the different types of amnesia? Overview ... That being said, there have been some rare instances where octogenarians, or people in their 80 s, retained better working memories than people in their 20 s (which is often associated as the peak of human mental capacity). However, most of the time scientists can see a sharp decline in memory, in most octogenarians, as well as nonagenarians. Moving more towards the biological side of things, normal memory loss that accompanies normal aging occurs in the brain due to changes in the prefrontal cortex. • 37. Effects Of Marxism On The Bourgeoisie Marxism is a clear cut view of the French revolution. It gives a central role to the Bourgeoisie for being the main inspirators for its cause. This is due to the fact that it was widely believed to be them who stood to gain the most. Lefebvre was the main and most revered of all Marxist historians. His belief is that the year 1789 was the one in which the Bourgeoisie took power. They had been waiting for centuries in order to do this, according to Lefebvre, and when they had finally reached sufficient numbers and wealth they took the initiative. They owed most of their success to a shift of what was considered important in society. In medieval society, the landed Aristocracy had dominated. They owed much of their success and wealth to the land. This is not the case in the eighteenth century when the impetus changed and economic power, personal abilities and confidence became more desirable than land.1Although the Bourgeoisie was growing in vast numbers, the Nobility had one thing over on them, Social Status. This leads on to the main crux of the Marxist argument, that there was a class struggle between the Nobles and the Bourgeois. The Nobility were being left far behind and the Bourgeois were steaming ahead, getting wealthier and more powerful by the day. The Bourgeois were growing richer through Commerce and Industry. Ships left for the Levant, Africa, and the Caribbean in droves. Coal and Iron production was going full steam ahead, along with cloth making and Western ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Pigs were the most numerous of livestock and they could mainly support themselves by foraging in the woods. Cows were kept to breed oxen for the plow team. Sheep and goats were used for milk and cheese and sheep was also used for wool (Gies and J Gies 22). Landowners had trading links with traders abroad, but peasants dealt with travelling merchants. Livestock grazed in tofts, this livestock being cows, oxen, pigs, and chickens. Villagers owned sheep, but they were not kept in tofts. In the summer and fall, they went to the marsh to graze and in the winter, they went to pens in the manor fold so the lord could profit from the manure (it was very valuable because it was used as fertilizer) (Gies and J Gies 35). Wool became a backbone to medieval economy, and even lords, abbots and bishops started to count wealth in terms of sheep (Johnson). Wool became taxed and this helped the King fund his military endeavors (Johnson). These goods helped support the different ranks of feudalism. The goods shepherds provided helped out the lord and the king especially. Wool was a very popular product that was produced by shepherds, and was bought and sold constantly. The king got all tax on this, so he got a lot of money. This helped him to fund the military, which supported him for protection, but also the lords and peasants. The lords benefited from the manure produced from the sheep shepherds raised. They got money from this and could have used it for many reasons, personally or for the people of feudalism.
