Day 2
Objectives: By the end of class all students will be able to:
 Create a new game
 Work with partners
 Critically think about specifics to make an idea work
 Teach to peers
 Demonstrate the activities and movements of their respective games
Equipment:
 Class dependent
 Sampler of all different equipment available
Safety:
 Make sure space is adequate for games
 Help keeps students in order for presenters
Assessment Suggestions:
 Direct observation
 Completion of drills
 Effort of participation in the game
 Participation in teaching/ demonstrating game/ activities
 Answers to questions about their game/ activities
120 minutes total
Minute 0 to 5 Locker room dressing out meet in classroom
Minute: 5 to 90
Each group presents/ plays their game one at a time to 13-15 minutes; should get through the last
3 groups.
Minute 90-100
Any make up work is done from groups or individuals that missed a previous part of the unit.
Minute 100-110
Class chooses the game presented that they want to play for a second time
Minute 110 to 120
Send students to locker room to prepare for next class, students turn in group evaluation.
