Kyle Mckendrick created a video to advertise a college course and gathered feedback through a questionnaire. Most respondents said the video successfully advertised the college as intended. Many liked the variety of camera angles used. Two suggested smoother panning movements. One would spread interviews throughout for more variation. Most felt interviews from current students were reassuring for prospective students. Overall, Kyle was happy with the positive feedback received.

Unit 4, 5 and 62 – Questionnaire review
Before releasing my digital video I wanted to gain opinions from other people around me so that I
can gather a wide variety of feedback on my work. I created a questionnaire which contained five
different questions and handed it out to various people in my class. The questions varied from what
the pupil liked best about my video to what they would do differently if they were to create a video.
The majority of the feedback I gathered was positive; every person who filled in my questionnaire
noted that the video successfully advertises the college and the course which was the main objective
of the video. A few people stated that what they liked best about the video was the range of camera
angles used, which was quite a large area that I looked at during the planning stages, as without the
use of different camera angles the video would become fairly repetitive. Although I received positive
comments on the camera angles, two people also said that they would create smoother movements
with the tripod when carrying out a panning camera angle, which is appreciated as during the editing
I did notice that there was a couple of bumps in the filming, however at this stage it was too late to
go back and retake the shot due to meeting deadlines.
One more person answered if they were to do something differently they would spread the
interviews out across the video to add some variation in the video instead of just having the college
footage as one then the interviews packed together. This is definitely something I will take into
account if I was to carry out another project similar to this one.
The majority of other people stated that the interviews were great as they showed a variety of
opinions from three different students which would be reassuring for any future students if they
were to be watching the video as it is always good to gain someone’s opinion who actually attends
the college. One person stated that the interview was their favourite part of the video as they could
gain the student’s point of view.
Overall I am happy with my feedback and especially that the majority of it was positive points.
