Unique Cause And Effect Essay Topics
1. Unique Cause And Effect Essay Topics
Crafting an essay on the theme of "Unique Cause And Effect Essay Topics" can be a challenging
yet intellectually stimulating endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in the need for a deep
understanding of cause-and-effect relationships but also in the quest for genuinely distinctive
topics that can captivate the reader's interest. Unlike more conventional cause and effect essay
topics, which may have been explored extensively, finding a unique angle requires creativity and
critical thinking.
One challenge is the scarcity of readily available resources for unique cause and effect topics.
Unlike well-trodden subjects where ample research material is accessible, finding credible
sources for less-explored topics may require more effort and ingenuity. Additionally, establishing
a clear causal relationship and conveying it in a coherent and compelling manner demands a
meticulous approach to research and analysis.
Furthermore, maintaining a balance between uniqueness and relevance is crucial. While the aim is
to explore uncharted territories, it is essential to ensure that the chosen cause and effect
relationship holds significance and relevance for the audience. Striking this delicate balance
requires a keen awareness of current events, societal trends, and an ability to identify potential
ripple effects that may not be immediately apparent.
Moreover, the very nature of a unique cause and effect essay demands originality in expression.
Crafting an engaging narrative that seamlessly weaves together the cause, the effect, and the
underlying uniqueness of the topic can be a formidable task. This calls for a mastery of
language, a nuanced understanding of rhetorical devices, and a flair for storytelling to elevate
the essay beyond a mere exploration of causality.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on "Unique Cause And Effect Essay Topics" demands a
combination of research skills, creativity, and the ability to express complex ideas coherently.
While the endeavor may present challenges, the rewards lie in the opportunity to contribute fresh
perspectives to the discourse. For those seeking assistance, it's worth noting that similar essays
and a wealth of writing resources can be accessed through platforms like HelpWriting.net,

2. Robert Hayden s My Last Duchess
The story My Last Duchess , written by Robert Hayden, is about the Duke of
Ferrara who is addressing a painted portrait of his last duchess to a visitor. As the
Duke articulates how the portrait came to be, his mindset toward the late duchess
reveals how he truly feels about their marriage. Throughout the monologue, the reader
is made aware of how jealous and controlling the ego driven Duketruly is.
To begin, one can see the Duke, who claims to never stoop down to his last duchess
s unapproved behavior, is ruled by his ego. For example, during the times that she
rode on a white mule around the terrace, he claims she would receive compliments
from other men and kindly thank them. According to the Duke, this was unapproved
behavior because she shouldn t be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

others with an ego the size consisting of all the egos of the generations of men before

In the final processes of the contract finalization, care must be taken as over time

where a company reaps the benefits of all the negotiating and getting their offers

awarded the flooringcontract for Naval Station Norfolk (NOB Norfolk). One of the
key attributes that won the base Contracting Officer over was the fact that MMI had

factor to establishing the cost of the contract is attaining MMI s patent so they won t

Briefly describe the myth The myth was about the Dragon King taking all of the

matter how much water was put in them. Only one man knew how to get the water
back. It was the stranger with the curly hair. He told the general that the bravest
soldier in the city (Kao Liang) must pierce the vats with the sharpest lance. The
stranger gave specific commands of what to do after Kao Liang pierced the vats.
One of the orders was to not look back until his horse had taken one hundred paces.
Koa Liang agreed, and he rode out to the vats and pierced them. In excitement, he

Marquis contends that abortion is impermissible, he expresses that executing adults

impermissible. The loss of one s life is one of the best misfortunes one can endure. (p.

Omaha, Nebraska is a beautiful city, but my heart belongs to Los Angeles,
California. There are some beautiful places here in Nebraska. We have beautiful
lakes, hiking trails, the Iowa Nebraska bridge downtown, and we actually get all
four seasons here. But, I feel like nothing will ever compare to California. First of all,
in California, you could hike, surf, ski, and ride dune buggies all in the same day!
There are so many trails and canyons to hike, so many beaches to sun bathe, and so
much more variety when it comes to restaurants. I love that here in Nebraska we
have plenty of amazing steaks, but I just miss the abundance of seafood in
California, which we lack here. I may sound biased, but I ve given Nebraska a try for

historical sights such as the Grand Hearst Castle. I haven t even gotten started on the
San Francisco Bay Area. You have the South Bay, East Bay, Peninsula, North Bay,
and San Francisco, each of which having something interesting to offer. In the South
Bay, there s San Jose and Santa Clara County, which many often describe as the
heart of Silicon Valley. It s the tech, innovation capital of the country, and offers
companies such as Google, Facebook, eBay, Apple, Intel, and the Nasa Ames
Research Center. Silicon Valley stretches slightly into the Peninsula. The Peninsula
has some impressive scenery especially along the coast you have those mysterious
beaches on Half Moon Bay and Moss Beach, and these awe inspiring mountains in
La Honda, Woodside, and Pescadero. On the tip of Peninsula, you can find San
Francisco! San Francisco is home to the best restaurants, smartest, and the sharpest

sports, those charming Victorian houses and apartments, cable cars, tech start ups,
culture, and nightlife. It s no wonder some people name it the best city in America.

of Oakland, Fremont, and Berkeley. The North Bay sports Napa Valley Wine
7. Stephen Leacock
Stephen Leacock
Born in Swanmore, England, Stephen Leacock was one of 11 children of an
unsuccessful farmer and an ambitious mother, a woman to whom Leacock no doubt
owed his energetic and status conscious nature. In 1891, while teaching at the
prestigious Upper Canada College in Toronto, Leacock obtained a modern language
degree from the University of Toronto. In 1903, after receiving a Ph.D. in political
economy from the University of Chicago, he joined the staff of McGill University,
Montreal, as professor of politics and economics. Leacock s career as a humorist
began when he had some comic pieces published as Literary Lapses in 1910. This
successful book was followed by two more books of comic sketches, Nonsense
Novels (1911) and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The son who wandered forth in the world was either killed by the cannibals or
crawled home years afterwards doubled up with rheumatism. So the old men made
the proverb. But nowadays it is exactly wrong. It is the rolling stone that gathers the
moss. It is the ambitious boy from Honkville, Indiana, who trudges off to the city
leaving his elder brother in the barnyard and who later makes a fortune and founds
a university. While his elder brother still has only the old farm with three cows and
a couple of pigs, he has a whole department of agriculture with great sheds full of
Tamworth hogs and a professor to every six of them.
In short, in modern life it is the rolling stone that gathers the moss. And the geologists
outside of Tennessee say that the moss on the actual stone was first started in exactly
the same way. It was the rolling of the stone that smashed up the earth and made the
moss grow.
Take another proverb:
All is not Gold that Glitters
How perfectly ridiculous! Everybody in the days in which we live knows even a
child knows that all is gold that glitters. Put on clothes enough, appearance enough
and you will be accepted anywhere. Just do a little glittering and everybody will
think you are gold. Make a show, be a humbug, and you will succeed so fast that
presently, being very wealthy and prominent, you will really think yourself a person
of great merit and intellect. In other words, the glitter makes the gold. That is all
there is to it.
8. Support Group That I Had Been At The Same Time
For this assignment I chose to go to a support group that I had been to before. I
chose to do this because I wanted to see what would change or what the
differences, were between this time and the first time I had went to this meeting.
This assignment was very interesting and very difficult for me at the same time.
The main reason it was so difficult for me, was I still am not driving too often. So
this setback gave me more hurtles to jump over and through, just so I could get to a
meeting. Because of this I really struggled trying to find a support groupthat would
actually allow me to attended meetingsat the times were people were available to
drive me. Then once again it hit me, like before, I finely asked my friend if her
mother who is a nurse could help me out. My friend s mother said yes. She knew of a
caregivergroup a caregiver group for cancer and was even willing to drive me to the
group. The only terms were that I would feel out a paper saying I agreed to the
conditions of the group. And the information shard in the meeting at no
circumstances was to be talked about outside the group. For this assignment I
attended the Cancer Caregivers Support Group in the clinical center at Froedtert
Hospital. The meeting took place on October 22nd 2016 at night 5:30pm to 7:00pm
at night. This caregiver group was a group of fifteen to twenty people who
specifically were planning on becoming a caregiver for a family member who was
battling cancer. The meeting was held in a
9. Counselor s Assessment
In the lives of counselor s assessment plays a great role. Assessments are what
shows the counselor what it is that their client is in need of help in. Like our book
states, assessment is a complex, problem solving process that allows us to collect
information in order to better serve our client (Drummond, Sheperis, Jones, 2016).
I was not aware of how involved counselors are in the testing process until I began
this class. I now see that assessments also helps the client understand their own
problems as well, it is just up to us to help them interpret the assessment. When
using various assessments in counseling, we have to be aware of our clientele and
culture we are working in. As counselors, we are to be conscious of controversies
in assessments such as privacy invasions, bias test, and even the pressure of the
assessment of the children. We are there to help alleviate and to insure these
problems do not come to rise. Statistics in assessment is important because it
enables us to keep track of how well or below average a student or group of
students are doing. Statistics is the number report that we are able to visually see.
Culturally, we would need to be aware of the customs, traditions, and values. We
need to be mindful of each student or client s uniqueness and be sure we are
equipped with the knowledge to help them through the assessment. Through the code
of ethics and the legal issues we are able to follow certain standards to prevent
insulting or malpractice.
10. The Effect Of The Warring States Period On Modern Japan
The warring states period in Japan was one of constant military dispute. It started in
1467 and went for 136 years and only ended when all the clans unified under the
Tokugawa Shogunate in 1603. This period definitely had a large effect in the making
of modern Japan because it was a time of growing culture and strong economics. The
economy grew despite the wars raging and trade was big this indicates the
sophisticated craft and manufacturing industries in Japan. These are the main reasons
for the start of the warring states period and how this era affected modern Japan. The
background to the warring states period is extensive and quite complex. The
government at the time was known as the Bakufu Shogunate or the Shogunal
government. It was

12. Alienation in The Minister s Black Veil Essay
Alienation in The Minister s Black Veil The Minister s Black Veil by Nathaniel
Hawthorne is a story about one clergyman s alienation due to his outward dressing.
Reverend Hooper was a well respected preacher who got along well with the
townspeople until one day when he appeared wearing a black veil over his face
that consisted of two folds of crape, which entirely concealed his features, except the
mouth and chin (Hawthorne 253). From that day onward, he was alienated both
socially and physically from his community and from himself due to his inability to
remove the veil. Reverend Hooper s black veil caused alienation from his
congregation. The minister did not even move his veil to perform marriages, which
the town believed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Whatever his reason for his odd clothing, Reverend Hooper s veil caused more than
a physical separation from the people of his town. The people felt the veil was the
symbol of a fearful secret between him and them (Hawthorne 256). Their fear and
confusion of the minister s motives caused strange behavior and unnatural withdrawal
from their spiritual leader.
After the initial onset of the black veil, the minister was alienated from himself.
After performing the wedding, he caught a glimpse of himself in the looking
glass, and the black veil involved his own spirit in the horror with which it
overwhelmed all others (Hawthorne 256). He would no longer look in a mirror at
himself because his antipathy to the veil was known to be so great (Hawthorne
258). The veil which isolated his face from the sun and rain also kept him from his
deepest fears and regrets. Reverend Hooper could no longer face himself and
decided no one else alive would be allowed to face him either. The only people who
seemed to see his face and understand him were lifeless corpses. As Mr. Hooper
paid his last respects to a deceased young maiden in her casket, the veil hung straight
down from his forehead (Hawthorne 255), and a superstitious woman claimed the
corpse had slightly shuttered (Hawthorne 255). When the minister placed the black
piece of cloth over his face, he intended to keep himself from the sight of his face
also.
If Reverend Hooper had found a way to deal
13. Bronfenbrenner s Ecological Theory And The Human
Lifespan...
This Essay will explain Urie Bronfenbrenner s Ecological Theory and how this is
applied to the Human lifespan. This is done through a multicontextual and
multidirectional perspective. It will explain the model in further detail covering
the levels of the Microsystem, Mesosystem, Ecosystem, Macrosystem and
Chronosystems (Berger 2014). These are the basis of the theory, and how they are
all interlinked and support the human development stages. This will show how it
incorporates the person and cultures in all contexts, with drawing on knowledge
from a cultural perspective. The essay will explain how people and influences
within each system work or not work, and the results from this. It will clarify how
these structures have influenced and have applied to periods of my life. I will cover
school years through adolescence, emerging adulthood and then into adulthood. Also
described will be how my own domains of physical, social, emotional and spiritual
development are linked into the theory. And finally included in this essay will be a
clear biblical reflection on Urie Bronfenbrenners model.
Urie Bronfenbrenner was born in 1915 and he was considered to be a highly regarded
developmentalist. He recommended that people should be studied in their own
natural environment rather than under experimental circumstance s (Berger 2014).
Bronfenbrenner s theory was inspired by the Russian stacking dolls. He argued that
human development was influenced by two way interactions as confirmed

15. The Pros And Cons Of The Intel Platform
A platform is a place where support can be provided for a system or software or
hardware and where they work. For example, the Windows XP system can be seen
as a platform in which many software and function programs are installed, and the
system that supports these programs is the system. The system can be seen as a
platform. Intel platform is based on compatible Intel products, specifically for Intel
development of software or hardware providers, they developed what is the Intel
platform things. The Intel platform is not a processor. Intel platform and AMD
platform are commonly known as the X86series, but the CPU core architecture
design of the two companies is different, the direction of development is not the
same, because the design of CPU LED chip group and matching have great
difference. However, since both Intel and AMD use standard interfaces to support
the hardware of compatible vendors, graphics cards and other devices can be used
across platforms.

price is more expensive, but AMD CPU in the performance of a good point, much
cheaper. As for the choice of what kind of platform will see their own needs, if the

important and the performance and power consumption are doing well; if it is
necessary multi threaded capability, I will use AMD CPU, with AMD graphics and

D)Metalinguistic feedback With metalinguistic feedback, the teacher does not

Metalinguistic feedback is a corrective feedback form of implicit correction which
implies ways of negotiation of form without explicitly providing the correct form.
It generally provides either some grammatical metalanguage that refers to the
nature of the error or a word definition in the case of lexical errors. It can also be
body language which involves non verbal cues such as facial expressions or hand
movements to indicate errors about word order or tense. (Lyster and Ranta, 1997).

implies ways of negotiation of form. In order to directly elicit the correct form
from the learner, teachers can elicit completion of his own utterance by pausing to
allow students to fill the blank (Lyster and Ranta 1997:48). Teachers can also elicit
the learners self repair by using a question in order to elicit the correct form (e.g.
How do we say X in English?) or use intonation in order to indicate that learners
should reformulate their utterance. For example: S: He likes very much chocolate T:

17. Apple Took Advantage Of The Great Recession
Q1. Apple took advantage of The Great Recession (2007 2009) after many of its
competitors had bankrupt or suffered from huge losses, causing an excessive of the
amount of the unsold components that the manufacturers had produce. They could
not find a market that can buy them, Apple sees that as an opportunity to buy those
components, such as memory chips and LCDs, at lower prices and in most the time
at cost, and use it as a competitive advantage in its manufacturing.
Apple s management had predicted its margins to be shrieked for the next 5 years; as
a cause of that recession that reshaped the market. The management took a fast and
smart decision and they predict the market after they analyzed it and found out that
they can make better future by using the low prices of the parts, rather than
downsizing.
Apple had adapted to the market change by developing the app revolution, where
developers (most of them are apple s customers) can design and program their own
apps and generate profits, which added about 300,000 jobs to the U.S. economy.
They also provided app developers with the tools and distribution they need to bring
their best ideas to tens of millions of its customers worldwide.
Sharing their customers with developing their products build a strong and long
relationship between them, and that s an long term adaptive to the future market
where the customers are more involved and they value their services over the prices.

18. The Similarities Between Sierra Leone And Mendes Culture
Sierra Leone is an African country where historically, multiple cultures have
survived. Since the feudal and monarchal systems arrived in the region dating back
to the 15th century, the Temne and Mendes cultures flourished (Coleman, 2014). The
Mendes culture was entangled with many beliefs and discoveries. The culture was
complex and known for medicines, ancestral worship, a belief in God, masked spirit
manifestations and secret societies (Coleman, 2014). The Temne culture is known for
the agriculture of rice and a system of laws (Coleman, 2014). In the 1787, the British
established itself in West Africa. Sierra Leone was able to endure the British influence
better than its region counterparts, because from 1825 to 1896 adopted the Temne
political system with the purpose of indirect rule (Coleman, 2014). In 1961, Sierra

natural resources. Diamonds are the most common natural resource, but Sierra Leone
also contains titanium ore, bauxite, iron ore, gold and chromite (2014, p.661). The
rapid population growth due to the natural resources stresses the environment and eco

19. Digestive System Analysis
Anatomy and Physiology of the Digestive System
Mouth and Salivary Glands
The mouth, also referred to as the oral cavity, is the entryway into the digestive tract.
The opening is formed by the lips, which guide food into and contain food in the
mouth. The palate forms the roof of the mouth and separates the mouth from the
nasal passages. The uvula is important in sealing off the nasal passages during
swallowing. The tongue forms the floor of the mouth and guides food within the
mouth during chewing and swallowing. The major taste buds are also located on the
tongue. (Sherwood 2013)

Peristalsis is the successive contractions of a muscular organ, which moves gut
contents along. (Henderson 2011) Peristalsis within the oesophagus moves the
ingested food down and into the stomach.
Stomach
The stomach is a saclike storage chamber found between the oesophagus and the
small intestine. The stomach consists of three main portions, namely the fundus, the
body and the antrum. It is separated from the duodenum by the pyloric sphincter. The
fundus lies above the oesophageal opening and has a relatively thin muscular layer, as
does the body of the stomach which is the largest portion. The antrum however, has
heavier musculature due to gastric mixing that occurs within the antrum. The body of
the stomach is only for storage of ingested food and therefore the thinner muscle wall.
(Sherwood 2013)
The primary function of the stomach is for storage of ingested food during the

Christians and the Environment For this is what the Lord says, he did not create it
to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited (Isaiah 45:18 NIV). Meaning that our
earthly habitat is not unexpected, it is worth more than anything in this world. For
by him all things were created: things in heaven and or earth, visible and invisible,
weather thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him
and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together (Colossians
1:16 17 NIV). We learn in Genesis that when Godcreated the world he took his time
proclaiming it as good. This good creation was rich and different, ... Show more

God tell us to care for our bodies, so also we can praise God by the care we give to
our environment. In Papua New Guinea the church group got together of 15
people and wrote a book on Christians caring for the environment. In New Guinea
there focus was the future of their kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Also the change in our personal lifestyle practices can help. For example, smoking
which we are polluting the earth. The homes we buy, why do we need all the
technology in the world in our house. Another way Christians we can preserve our
environment is by using alternate methods of transportation. For example, in
Tokyo most people do not even own cars they ride bikes to the train station to
utilize resourceful means to get to work. The way gas prices keep going out we
are going to have to rely on public transportation which is better for the
environment now than driving vehicles. I am glad that now we have Hybrid cars
to help with the pollution. Many religions have different insight on how to preserve
the environment. For example In India, they practice Hindu which means ( the
external essence of life ). They believe that it is clear their God which is known as
Vishnu is part of everything. The environment is a place with people with
consciousness such as land, plants, animals, and people in which all are connected.
They believe all living creatures have souls, and when people or animals die their
souls live in plant, animals,

ABSTRACT
Edith Wharton was a Pulitzer Prize winning female author whose writing style was
mainly affected by her aristocratic upbringing. Growing up Edith Wharton was
friends with former President Theodore Roosevelt. The two were often compared
and both were said to have been self made men . Edith Wharton s novels were often
critically acclaimed until Ethan Frome was published. The novel was said to be
cruel and violent by critics and casual readers. In my opinion, Edith Wharton s
Ethan Frome is a great book that reveals the harsh realities of failed relationships
hanging on by a thread combined with the struggle of being poverty stricken. For
my original piece, I will write a poem about Edith Wharton s failed marriage that
lasted 28 years, as if I were Edith Wharton after her divorce from Edward Wharton.
I chose to do a report on Edith Wharton because she was a female writer that
believed women were just as capable as men during a time when men were seen as
superior in every aspect to women, and also because she achieved much more than
most male writers of her time. I believe Edith Wharton s aristocratic upbringing had
the main effect on her writing style.

Harley Davidson is an American motorcycle manufacturer with a rich history and
cultural tradition. Founded in 1903 in Milwaukee, WI, Harley just celebrated its
100th anniversary with a series of events around the world that culminated in
hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists rallying last summer on the shores of Lake
Michigan. In 1929, there were 241 motorcycle manufacturers in the US. After the
Depression, only two remained: Harley and Indian. By 1953, Indian went out of

Because the managers understood the strong culture and history of the company, they
structured the project carefully to create a change in thinking before creating a
change in software. The methods they used to survey purchasing people, involve
representatives from all areas of the company, understand the process, work with
suppliers, and select an ERP provider to grow with company and its future needs. All
of these components helped to reduce the risk of the project.
Project Scope
To get a better understanding of the scope of their problem and to plan the project,
managers decided to survey those who were responsible for purchasing. They
intended to discover what activities purchasing people carried out and how much
time and effort went into procuring materials. Everyone was surprised to learn that
23. 85% of purchasing time was being spent in non strategic activities, such as counting
inventory, data entry and expediting. While the company had 200 purchasing staff,
the survey revealed that over 2,000 people were issuing purchase orders. Quantitative
estimates provided a potential savings of an ERP implementation for purchasing at
$34 million. Data like these helped to get people committed to making the project a
success. The project scope had to identify the purchasing activities, the stakeholder
groups (owner, driver, or participant), and the target audience (800 people). In

24. Too Much Land Is Like A Rich Man By E. M. Forster
Imagine owning a three mile long mansion with a pool, and home theater, and
game rooms, and king sized beds and a bathtub so big you can almost swim in it.
Would you want to leave that house with endless activities to do without having to
drive a car to get to it? Well, in his passage, essayist E.M. Forster believes that
owning propertyleads one to sin and become fat because of the lazy activities, such
as watching TV, property creates. He feels his land is weight holding him back
from heaven because his belongings have caused him to become greedy. First,
Forster utilizes precise and symbolic diction to express what owning land has done
in his life. Second, Forster integrates biblical allusions and visual imagery so one
could image how owning... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What Forster feels for owning property. Forster compares, He was not wicked, that
unfortunate millionaire in the parable, he was only stout; he stuck out in front, not
to mention behind, and as he wedged himself this way and that in the crystalline
entrance and bruised his well fed flanks, he saw beneath him a comparatively slim
camel passing through the eye of a needle and being woven into the robe of God.
What Forster s biblical allusion means is that it is easier for a poor man to get into
heaven than a rich man is to get into heaven because the poor man is not entitled to
materials causing him to sin. The biblical allusion expresses that his wood is
making him tubby, which will not allow him to fit through the eye of the needle to
become one with God. From this biblical allusion, one cannot help but image a
hefty person struggling to pass through close tables and chairs to sit down, or a
humongous cat fighting to fit through a doggy door, establishing a humorous tone.
Forster s property caused him to gain weight, weight that poor men cannot afford.
Then, Forster explains, Men of weight cannot, by definition, move like the lighting
from the east into the West. This visual image cause one to try to picture an
enormous person trying to run on a treadmill. It is hard to visualize, right? Well,
that is because fat people do not run on treadmills. The simile is an example of what
lazy men physically cannot do, establishing a hilarious tone. Because of owning
land, Forster has become so lazy to the point where getting up and leaving his house,
his belongings, his TV is too much to ask from

Professor Ledri Aguilar

Inner Rings and the Motives that Come Along C.S Lewis delivered a speech named
The Inner Ring at King s College, a University in London. As Lewis continues on in
his speech, one may be a little thrown off by what these inner rings are and what
exactly they mean to people. Although Lewis mentions both good and harmful inner
rings, one could argue that most people find themselves so caught up in these inner
rings they do not even realize they are trying to be involved in them for the wrong
reasons. Some people strive to have a certain appearance that comes along with being
involved in these inner rings that they tend to forget what really is important to them.
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of these inner rings are the reason we have competition, jealously and spite
in the world. It is not right for one to feel left out just because they do not have
certain traits or don t have the same views as another. Lewis even acknowledges
this with his passage, Unless you take measures to prevent it, this desire is going
to be one of the chief motives of your life, from the first day on which you enter
your profession until the day when you are too old to care (Lewis 152). An
example of today s inner ring would be fraternities at Colleges. People who aren t
part of a certain fraternity would feel left out when they see the Frat s doing
activities only Frat members are allowed to do. This might make one feel the need
to fit in and do certain things they do not enjoy just to be accepted in a fraternity.
Although this particular example does not apply to everybody, it still does not hide
these inner rings because they can be found everywhere.
Arroyo 4
Another example of an inner ring existing is social class in itself. Rich hang out with
the rich, poor hang out with the poor. People obviously have different
circumstances that make their social class rich or poor, but the ring still exists.
Lower class people feel left out when they see the upper class driving nicer cars,
eating expensive dinners, and living in expensive homes. While on the other end,
lower class workers are living pay check to
27. The Controversial Issue Of The Homeless
The controversial issue of the homeless in New York has been an ongoing battle
for several years. Many leaders like Andrew Cuomo have come to the conclusion
that obligating homeless people into shelters should be enforced, yet others oppose
the idea. They believe such harsh actions shouldn t be taken. Journalist like
Hinckley, who wrote Can New York Force Homeless People into Shelters? and
Marc Santo, who wrote Keep New York s homeless off the streets! have written
articles with fact based information with details on the homeless living conditions. In
my opinion, such actions shouldn t occur. The homeless in New York have the right
to choose their living conditions, therefore they shouldn t be obligated to be put in
shelters. New York leaders demand that homeless people must be forced into shelter,
but the truth is that money needs to be spent. The mayor, De Blasio, agrees that
money shouldn t be spent. De Blasio unveiled a housing plan that consists of $2.6
billion dollars. Shelters are sometimes worse than the streets themselves. Several
homeless who have entered shelters justify this statement. That statement validates
why the housing plan is a much safer option. On the other hand, the governor
defends the idea of pressuring homeless into shelters. According to Cuomo, If I get
sued for keeping people safe and people in from the cold because they were
endangering themselves, so be it. (Hinckley 29 30). This is meant to show his
compassion and sympathy.

29. Analysis of A Savage Life Essay
Through the use of anecdotes in the article A Savage Life , Suzanne Winckler
effectively points out that it is important to understand where your food comes from.
Winckler helps convey to readers that while butchering animals is no fun, it is
necessary for the survival of omnivores. She argues that meat eaters are out of touch
with reality; instead of recognizing that an animal must be sacrificed for their meal,
most consumers mindlessly devour the food on their plates without a thoughtof where
their food came from. Winckler states I am too far gone in my rational Western head
to appropriate the ritual of cultures for whom the bloody business of hunting was a
matter of survival (634); in this statement she adequately appeals to logos... Show

Through this proclamation, Winckler successfully appeals to pathos because she
makes it simple for the audience to see the connection between a newborn and a
chicken about to lose its life. Both chickens and newborns are ignorant to the world
and rather helpless comparing a human to the food that one eats helps to put the
killing of a chicken into perspective. Winckler then gruesomely explains what it is
like to behead a chicken; appealing to both pathos and ethos: Headless chickens don
t run around. They thrash with such force and seeming coordination that they
sometimes turn back flips (633). By using imagery to describe this horrific
requirement for killing a chicken, Winckler is seen as a credible and factual source.
After slaying her first chicken, Winckler realized why cultures, ancient and
contemporary, develop elaborate rituals for coping with the grisly experience of
killing any sentient creature (633). She appeals to logos in this quote by informing
readers of the epiphany she came to taking them through her mind s thought process;
this makes her come across as a logical being, not a demented human. By appealing to
logos in this quote, Winckler invokes thought in readers minds; she productively
addresses that killing animals is disturbing and off putting but necessary for survival,
since most nations perform rituals
30. David Suzuki Diversity Is Strength
Pluralistic superiority is a pervasive concept existing in a significant portion of the
Westernized world, enforcing the notion that multi cultural, multi ethnic, and multi
national ideologies are inextricably related with societal and economic progress,
exemplified by the myopic and unsubstantiated quotation Diversity is Strength from
the current incumbent of Canada s position of prime minister. The fundamental issue
with this perspective is its inability to properly process anterior information related to
alternate states, and the orthodox prerequisites involved in the ascension of relevant
nation states by creating such an axiomatic statement which purportedly embodies the
quixotic goals of a state. As a method of responding to the notion... Show more

An intrinsic issue related to David Suzuki s postulation that diversity of all variants is
useful to the perpetuation of the is his intentional disregard for the biological notion
of conflict within ecosystems, specifically pertaining to invasive species and the
ecosystems (and entities inhabiting the ecosystem) which are the recipients of said
invasion; if a species is relocated to an ecosystem and possesses traits which
fundamentally do not align with the synergistic and symbiotic nature of the
ecosystem , there exists a ubiquitous consequence for the denizens who are
accustomed to the relatively static nature of their environment. The socio cultural
correlation, related to the biological notion of ecosystem equilibrium, is the
introduction of individuals who possess fundamental disagreements with the
predominant ethical and moral perspectives of the majority of inhabitants; this,
historically, results in the amplifications of tension between the two groups (primary
inhabitants and incompatibly invasive) and the inexorable suppression (this has a
propensity to manifest in both active and passive assimilation or the relocation of the
minority into a specific region) of the incompatibly invasive or the disintegration of
the primary inhabitants social structure . Present within both a biological and socio
cultural structure is compatibility within an ecosystem, and operating within the
confines of such permits a higher degree of success when approaching multi
culturalism, but attempting to implement the unrestricted proliferation of any species
or culture within an environment, as proselytized by David Suzuki, is not functional.
An example of such would be introducing the Andean bear into the environment of
the Asiatic black bear, in

33. Essay about Theological Virtue of Charity
Saint Thomas Aquinas is one of the people accredited for having brought theology
into the limelight. However, though theology existed long before the emergence of
philosophers and fathers if the church, individualistic drives such as those of Aquinas
brought a deeper understanding into the mysteries of theology. Modern day theology
would not have gotten any bearing without the impact of philosophers and scholars
who simplified the understanding of theological concepts. While it cannot be
independently verified what the motivation was behind the interest in theology, it is
clear that theology is what it is because of the input of the philosophers and scholars
(Thomas Pegis, 1997). Aquinas, being motivated into the world of theology,... Show

Aquinas sought to use the same writings and thoughts to further his agenda for
making clear his thoughts. Aristotle based his arguments on the goodness of man.
He noted that the man has to develop from within an aspect of being admired based
on the characters that are not as controversial. In essence, he meant that it is critical
for people to leave a life that is a mirror to others and other generations to come.
Aquinas borrowed this concept of the understanding of man to outline the essence of
theological value of ethics. In his arguments, Aquinas noted that for one to achieve
some level of charity from the perspective of theology, two things were critical. Faith
and hope, according to him covered a wide area in understanding or attaining some
charity and moral standards. Virtues, according to Aquinas are the driving force
towards achieving some certain telo . Human beings are ever in pursuit of happiness
and as such are always motivated to identify such things that bring about wellbeing.
To this end, Aristotle talked about Beatitudes as a means through which human
beings derive their happiness. According to Aquinas, virtues that are theological in
nature drive the human race towards the supernatural while the other virtues drive
people to achieve some specific ends. The theological values that include faith, hope
and charity drive people to God. In essence, he sought to distinguish the theological
virtues and the other virtues. The distinction was that the two
34. Abuse Of Nature In Frankenstein
In Frankenstein, Mary Shelley attempts to show the harmful affects of trying to work
against nature with the creation of the monster by Victor Frankenstein. Nature is a
force that should not be tampered with, and when Frankenstein creates the monster,
he is attempting to alter the course of nature and partake in the role of God. This is
a common theme of books in the romantic period, because romantic writers focused
heavily on nature. It wasn t very common for there to be women authors however, so
her message is clouded by the controversy of the first science fiction book being
written by a women.

Mary Shelley uses the monster to show the harmful effects of Victor Frankenstein
s crime of nature. When Dr. Frankenstein first creates the monster and the monster
first moves on its own, coming to life, the watery eyes, the yellow skin that barely
covered the work of muscles terrify him, and he immediately flees. This first
reaction to the monster is part of the foreshadowing of the terrible deeds that follow
the creation of this crime against nature. Frankenstein s reaction to the monster is
not uncommon as everywhere the monster goes, people react similarly. The
monster tries to befriend a blind old man living in a cottage, knowing the old man
cannot see him, and therefor will not have an awful reaction to his appearance.
However as the monster is talking to the old man, the cottage door opens, and Felix,
Safie, and Agatha entered. Who can describe their horror and consternation on
beholding me? Agatha fainted, and Safie, unable to attend to her friend, rushed out
of the cottage (15.36) It is reactions like these from people who merely don t know

and terror. After Felix, Safie and Agatha interrupt his conversation with the old man,

35. Differences Between Weak Impermissibility And The...
In the aforementioned studies, an asymmetry is found between the footbridge and
the bystander cases which suggests that there is an independent reason to remove
any asymmetry in the personal bystander and footbridge cases. The results showed
that participants were aware of the difference between weak impermissibility and
all in impermissibility. In the first experiment, about 70% stated that is was not
acceptable to violate a moral rule and all things considered both in the personal
footbridge case. We can see a recognisable distinction in personal and moral cases,
but this was not addressed in these experiments. In addition, a philosophical
understanding tells us that when a rule is broken, it is wrong to go ahead with that
action (e.g. Fried, 1978). It is clear then from both experiments that a difference
between weak and all in permissibility is not evident (Nichols Mallon, 2005). The
results show that some people think that it is acceptable to breach a moral rule, even
one that allows killing innocent people. This reinforces the idea that people are not
absolute deontologists, and this is similar to the issues observed in the catastrophe
case. What is notable about the results is that people appreciate the recognisable
difference between weak and all in impermissibility. Moreover, the results show an
independent mechanism for two underlying ideas relating to moral judgement. One
shows that people are able to minimise bad outcomes and the other shows people
have a set
36. The, Fun Home, By Alison Bechdel Essay
Intertextuality troubles the definition of autobiography in Alison Bechdel s Fun
Home. Fun Home is a retelling of Alison Bechdel s life through the lens of her
relationship with her father. However, because of what she considers to have been
his suicide, Alison is left with an incomplete picture of who he was in life. By
calling Fun Home an autobiography, Bechdel enters an autobiographical pact with
the reader that ensures that what Bechdel is telling us is the truth. However,
elements out of her control leave Bechdel unable to provide certain objective facts
necessary to her narrative. As an attempt to remedy these absences and in turn
maintain the validity of her story, Bechdel uses intertextuality to fill in the gaps of
in her retelling. By overlaying masterplots of fictional narratives over her own, the
reader is able to get at an understanding of the kind of person Alison s father was. In
this way Bechdel is able to reveal things about her father that she can t prove to be
true, but are reflective enough of his life to become true. Although only referred to as
autobiography in paratext, Fun Home falls under the umbrella of narrative non
fiction because it tells a true story. Abbott reinforces this in The Cambridge
Introduction to Narrative, stating that ...narrative non fiction differs from narrative
fiction in its referential function. We expect it to convey as best it can the truth of
actual events. (146). This expectation means that when a narrative is presented
37. Love In Antigone
Love is shown throughout many different ways and can be expressed through a
variety of aspects of human behavior. In Antigone, the third play in Sophocles
trilogy, the idea of love and how it is expressed can be analyzed by the reader.
Haimon s behavior throughout the play such as his acts to defend Antigonebegin to
express his lovefor her; he continues to express this love as the play progresses, with
his body language towards her, his attempt to murder his father, and his own suicide
which leads to the conclusion that Haimon does love Antigone.
Haimon s acts to defend Antigone and shield her from Creon s intended
punishment begins to hint at his love for her. Once Haimon hears of Creon s plans
for Antigone, he comes to speak to him in an attempt to defend her actions and
prevent her from the punishment. Haimon argues with his father about his
thoughts regarding the situation. To try and convince him, he repeats different
things that he has heard the people of Thebes say. Representing Thebes, he puts
Antigone s actions into a different perspective and simply explains to his father
that, [s]he covered her brother s body. He asks, Is this indecent? / She kept him
from dogs and vultures. Is this a crime? / Death? She should have all the honor that
we can give her! (218 9) By standing his ground and taking Antigone s side, Haimon
proves that he cares for her. The people of Thebes obviously care about Antigone,
as they want justice for what she has done. They believe that she should be
honored rather than punished. However, none of these people came directly to
argue with Creon about it. Haimon was the only one who took action. It takes a
great amount of courage to stand up to your father, so Haimon would not have done
this for just any person. Antigone is not just any person to him. She is someone that
he truly cares about and wants to make sure is treated the proper way. People
generally protect the people that they love, which is exactly what Haimon is doing.
The care that he shows for Antigone is what first hints his love for her to the reader.
The body language that Haimon holds towards Antigone shows his affection for her
and suggests that he truly loves her. After Creon has sentenced

seeking self sufficiency; on the other hand, Blanche seeks some kind of security
and wants someone to rely on. Although the era s in which these two plays are set,
both women still live in a male dominated society. This was a problem in both era s
and a problem which both writers wanted to highlight to the audience. This is truer
in A Dolls House, and is influential in many of ideas of the play. The problem which
causes the split between Nora and Torvald is because of Nora taking out a loan
without his consent, this shows how women were sexually discriminated against
in the time in which the play was set, as they were not allowed to do certain things
which men could, for example it was nearly impossible for them to have a well paid
job, resulting in Nora having to go behind Torvald s back to make some money.
Similarly in A Streetcar Named Desire there is clearly a
40. Anzac Legacy Research Paper
I approvingly agree with the statement that the ANZAC legacy has survived to this
day as Australians across the country commemorate them every year for their brave
efforts; hundreds of thousands of men, women and children in Australia and overseas
attend ANZAC day ceremonies and marches; and they represent us Australians.
Source 1 and 2 describe and show the impacts of the war and the ANZACs efforts in
the war.
Body paragraph 1
The ANZAC legacy still remains because Anzac stood, and still stands, for reckless
valor in a good cause, for enterprise, resourcefulness, fidelity, comradeship, and
endurance that will never own defeat. [ 1] The ANZAC s sacrifice and service by
men and women in Australia s armed forces is still not forgotten, ... Show more

On this day in 1915 Australian and New Zealand troops arrived at Gallipoli and in
1916 the day was named ANZAC day.
Not only does ANZAC day remember the landing or anniversary but it is the day
we remember all Australians who have served and died in all wars, conflicts and
peacekeeping operations. The courageous story of the landing at Gallipoli and the
ANZACS are still remembered today.
Memorial facilities and services are held at sunrise on 25 April, the time of the
original landing, across the nation, usually at war memorials. This was started by
returned soldiers after the First World War in the 1920s as a common form of
commemoration. The initial official dawn service was held at the Sydney
Cenotaph in 1927. It was the first year that all states acknowledged a public
holiday. Primarily the services were only attended by veterans who followed the
ritual of standing a moment of silence while listening to a lone piper playing the
Last Post . Then later marches were held in most major cities and many families and
other people joined and acknowledged them. Now ANZAC day is a day when
Australians gather, reflect and remember the meaning of
41. Assessing Risk Of Manipulating Over Financial Reporting
Using of M Score formula in assessing risk of manipulating over financial reporting.
Financial statement audit is very important in the functioning of our economy and
society expects auditors to exercise due care in their work.
Many readers of financial statements believe that auditors have a responsibility to
detect all errors, fraud and illegal acts. This is not true. The auditor has a
responsibilities to plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about
whether the financial statements free of material misstatement, whether caused by
error or fraud.
Based on knowledge of the entity and it is environment, the auditor should assess risk
of material misstatement at the assertion level and determine the audit procedures ...

In this paper I will discuss mostly about misstatement from manipulating of financial
reporting.
The auditor performs the following steps to identify the risks of material
misstatement due to fraud:
Discussion among the audit team members regarding the risk of material
misstatement due to fraud
Inquire of management about the views on the risk of fraud and how it is addressed
Consider any unusual or unexpected relationship identified during analytical
procedures in planning the audit
Understand period end closing process and investigate unexpected period end
adjustments
Three conditions are generally present when material misstatements due to fraud
occurs:
1)Management or other employees have an incentive or are under pressure that
provide a reason to commit fraud
2)Circumstances exist that provide an opportunity for a fraud to be carried out
3)Those involved are able to rationalize committing a fraudulent act.
Management has the ability to perpetuate a fraud because it is in a position to
directly or indirectly manipulate the accounting records and prepare fraudulent
financial reports. In most cases also involves some management override of controls.
Risk factors that may suggest that management have incentive to manipulate financial
reporting:

42. Essay on A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings
A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings
The fictional tale entitled A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings is an intriguing
story which is expressed very well in the title. The story is about just that, an old man
with wings. The only aspect that the title fails to point out is that he is an angel. I
find the story to be somewhat interesting; however, it isn t exactly hard to put down.
The one thing about this story that stands out the most, is the author s use of tone.
This is the main aspect of the story that jumps out at you. The usage of tone and detail
really works to the story s advantage. The first paragraph alone is filled with
descriptions that really set the tone and make you feel like you are there. On the third

By that time the onlookers less frivolous than those at dawn had already arrived and
they were making all kinds of conjectures concerning the captive s future. The
simplest among them thought that he should be named mayor of the world. Others
of sterner mind felt that should be promoted to the rank of five star general in
order to win all the wars. Some visionaries hoped that he could be put to stud in
order to implant on earth a race of winged wise men who could take charge of the
universe. At this point in the story, the characters start to wonder if the angel is
even going to survive. I feel that this sets a very dark and bleak tone. The angel is
lying there, motionless, and all of the people who are around him can only think
about themselves. It shows how selfish humans can be when someone or
something is dying, and the only reason they care if it lives or not is so they can
use it for their own benefit. Meaning, they want to use him for a leader or to bring
in money, as the main characters did. Pelayo and Elisenda (main characters) really
cashed in on the presence of the Angel. The way that the angel is being used and
poorly treated, does a good job of setting the tone in itself. Anyone who imagines this
situation is going to imagine it as somewhat of a grim one. This is actually quite
strange if you think about it. When most people think of angels they think of bright
lights and happiness. The angels are always portrayed as strong,
43. Activated Carbon is Used in Wastewater Treatments
Activated carbon (AC) is an adsorbent in wastewater treatment used in either granular
or powdered form. The filtration device uses AC which has a slight electro positive
charge added to it, making it attractive to chemicals and impurities. Contaminants that
can be removed from the water by adsorption on activated carbon include both
naturally occurring and synthetic compounds.
Advantages:
Absorbs odours and coloured substances from liquids
Traps other carbon based impurities and chemicals (e.g. chlorine)
Disadvantages:
Leakage of microorganisms
Low biodegradability
Encourages bacterial growth as AC filters are saturated with organic contaminants
System Requirements:
Requires frequent filter changing as AC filters reduce in efficiency and increase in
bacterial growth over time
Not suitable for use in Sandikhola
.5.0.2 Constructed wetlands
Constructed wetlands (CW) utilise wetland plants, soils and associated
microorganism to remove contaminants from wastewater through symbiotic
reactions. Several physical, chemical and biological processes occurring within
wetlands removes suspended solids (TSS, total suspended solids), organic compounds
(BOD, biological oxygen demand), chemicals (COD, chemical oxygen demand),
phosphorous, nitrogen, metals and pathogens present in wastewater.
Advantages:
Water quality tests on wastewater effluents from various wetlands in Nepal have
shown that TSS, BOD, COD are removed by more than 95%. Similarly, coliform
bacteria are also

Summoned to the home of the fabulously wealthy General Sternwood (Charles
Waldron), Marlowe is hired to deal with a blackmailer known as Arthur Geiger
(Theodore von Eltz) who has been causing trouble for the General s dim witted,
thumb sucking daughter Carmen (Martha Vickers). This earns the displeasure of the
smart and protective older sister Vivian (Lauren Bacall) as he gets mixed up in
situations that include a jungle of pornographers, gamblers and murderers who have
involved themselves with the Sternwood family. By looking at the space Marlowe
engages with and his interaction with other characters in The Big Sleep, we can see

dialogue is shortened to brief phrases or one word responses. Vivian notices this
because she says You re not much of a gusher, are you, Mr. Marlowe? (18), but he
approaches her with a cautious, stoic presence as she tries to cross examine him
for information on multiple occasions. However, you see cracks in this masculine
identity, which reveals a sentimental nature, especially after he has a romantic
exchange with Vivian. He says I think I m beginning to like another one of the
Sternwoods and his response to her comment is Let s get back to business. When
Vivian voices her displeasure of his probing questions after they have kissed in the
car, he responds with That s the way it is. Kissing is alright; it s nice. I d like to do
more of it, but first I want to find out what Eddie Mars has on you. Marlowe s voice
has a tender and charming quality when he reveals some of his feelings, but he
quickly resorts back to his tough, dutiful persona before he can act on his attraction
to Vivian. The only other time Marlowe shows genuine care is when he talks about

46. The Alambra And The Alhambra
After the Umayyad caliphate of Iberia splintered into small kingdoms across modern
day Andalusia in the eleventh century, al Andalus witnessed the reigns of three
important powers: the Almoravid, Almohad, and Nasrid dynasties. As each dynasty
confronted the gradual encroachment from the Christian north, most notably with
Alfonso VI s conquest of Toledo in 1085. It would be the Nasrid dynasty (1230
1492) who would ultimately witness the end of Muslim rule in Spainwhen they
surrendered to Isabella I and Ferdinand II in 1492 at Granada.
As a fortress and a palace, the Alhambra is arguably the most important fixture of
Nasrid art and architecture. The Alhambra, or The Red One , was built on the
remains of Roman fortifications, just as the Great Mosque of CГіrdoba had been
with spolia. Although the fortress had been built in the ninth century given its
location on a strategic point overlooking the city of Granada, the Nasrid dynasty
transformed the fortress into a royal city under Mohammed I (1238 1273). However,
it was under Yusuf I (1333 1353) and Mohammed V (1353 1391) that the Alhambra
was transformed. Yusuf I in particular emphasized the importance of art, [beginning]
a glorious age of Nasrid cultural achievement... [under his rule was] where the
Alhambra came into full glory (Drayson 17). Both rulers augmented the structure
with the Alcazaba, the fortress component, and gardens that would survive even
through the brutal Granada War at the end of the fifteenth century.
47. Racism In Beloved By Toni Morrison
Racism. Protests. Profiling. These three words are common buzzwords that are used
in the United States media almost daily. They are used so often, some contend, that it
has created a sense of apathy in the American public in regards to solving the age old
problem that has its roots grounded in slavery. Burns states, [Toni] Morrison contends
that the American history of slaveryhad been consciously disremembered so that it
is conveniently shrouded by a comfortable state of national amnesia . Likewise, in
her novel the characters Sethe and Paul D in the novel Beloved by Toni Morrison
also exist in a state of amnesia but of their own slavery. In this essay, I will argue
that in the novel Beloved, Toni Morrison use characters Sethe and Paul D and their
willed forgetfulness of slavery and past actions to reveal the modern reader s
absent mindedness of slavery and discussions of race. In the first few pages of the
novel, Morrison uses Sethe s forgetfulness of Beloved s soul to parallel the
forgetfulness of slavery in the average United States citizen. The narrator states,
Counting on the stillness of her own soul, she had forgotten the other one: the soul
of her baby girl. (5). The wording, the other one [soul] , implies that the soul of
Beloved and that of Sethe are one, inseparable. Yet, Sethe seems to strive to place a
barrier between the two souls in the interest of her inner stillness . For the modern
reader, this sought after stillness derives from the tendency
48. Essay on 3 Key Aspects of the Anaesthetic Nurse Role
An in depth analysis of three key aspects of the anaesthetic nurse role
The relationship between the perioperative nurse and the patient has suffered a long
process of mutation throughout the last decades. If before all the dynamics
experienced within an operating theatre were based upon organizational and logistical
aspects, these days the focus lies on the patient and all the comfort and security
demanded throughout a process that already reveals itself aggressive for the patient.
Being the front line person in this dynamic, the anaesthetic nurse plays a crucial and
intense role on the patient s experience.
An anaesthetic nurse is knowledgeable and technically skilled. However, as Flin and
colleagues extensively analysed (2008), ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, Lingard and colleagues have studied and supported the idea of
preoperative checklist and team briefings to prevent or decrease communication
failures (Lingard et al. 2008). In fact, the World Health Organization has standardised
a surgical safety list (appendix 1) that through effective communication ensures the
right patient, right procedure and the necessary steps/actions are guaranteed (World
Health Organization 2008).
On the other hand, although a team briefing is not a requirement it enhances
communication and teamwork and highlights possible issues that can be dealt more
effectively if all the team members are aware and help (for example sharing with the
team members an anticipated difficult intubation).
Situation Awareness
Situation awareness has been explained as a three stage process: perception,
comprehension and projection (Endsley 2012). According to Endsley, situation
awareness begins by perceiving the elements of the environment (Level 1) after which
an integration and understanding of those elements (Level 2) will then generate a
prediction of near future events (Level 3).
Situation awareness is one of the non technical skills that were first acknowledged

Nine years ago when I first joined faculty of engineering at Alexandria University, I
would have never imagined that I would apply for a Management PhD program one
day. My dream was to become an electrical engineer but another thing was perfectly
destined and planned for me. It has all started during my last year in the college. I
was majoring electrical engineering and I took a project managementcourse. This
course has changed all my goals and objectives. I have become really impressed by
how it could be so important to simulate and optimize process, and how that can save
much money, time and resources. Unconsciously my career objectives have taken a
twist during studying that subject. Quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling and
optimization of different business processes have become my major interests.
In 2012, I completed the BSc degree in Electrical Engineering with an excellent
cumulative grade with degree of honor which is the highest possible grade in Egypt.
My ranking was also the fourth student among 196 students class. After graduation,
my vision was not so clear but I wanted to learn more about business and its different
areas. Therefore, I decided to enroll ina Master of Business Administration program
to pursue my goals. I applied to ESLSCA, a French business school which has a
campus in Alexandria, MBA program and fortunately I was accepted with a
scholarship too. I was a little bit afraid at the beginning of the program as I was the

The...
The February Revolution (or in the European calendar, the March Revolution) was
a large scale revolution that was popular among almost all people of Russia. It
holds many differences to the later occurring October Revolution (or November
Revolution, the Bolshevik Revolution) that was smaller scale and based around the
seizure of power by the Bolsheviks, and not many similarities. This essay will talk
about the differences of the two revolutions, as well as the sparse similarities they
possess.
One of the main differences between the February Revolution and the October
Revolution was the scale. The February Revolution was visibly larger, after the
accumulation of all the issues that had been forming and developing since the
debatable success of the 1905 Revolution. The revolution was enough of a success
to remove Nicholas II from the throne, and create other reforms such as inputting a
Provisional Government to take power (as well as a Soviet). In it participated
people from all walks of life the middle class, peasants, workers, and even soldiers.
The October Revolution, on the other hand, was relatively small and less due to

people the heavy losses combined with economic shortages, especially of food.
Similarly, the notion that the Bolsheviks had towards the war and access to food
won them a lot of support which made the October revolution possible. The slogan
peace, land, bread encouraged even the least educated Russians with its simplicity
especially during a war as difficult and draining as that one. Although the war being

Comparative Analysis
Over the past month, we have been studying the concept of reading and writing in
different communities. To assess this, we have read two different texts. Richard
Rodriguez s the achievement of desire , from his autobiography Hunger of Memory ;
and Lucille McCarthy s A Stranger in Strange Lands: A College Student Writing
across the Curriculum from Research in the Teaching of English . Both answer key
questions regarding what it takes to become a great reader and writer, however,
from the reading that I have done, each one only answers one part of the question.
Rodriguez s main focus is in the aspect of reading, whereas McCarthy mainly
focuses on the writing portion. Both do a decent job of analyzing and putting forth
a view of how they believe a person can best perform in these environments. This
then allows us to use their concepts and create our own version, based on their
points of view. But why should we care? Most people at this level of academia will
have developed a system of writing that works for them, and will have a difficult
time breaking from it if they re process doesn t meet the criteria that Rodriguez, and
McCarthy put forth. The reason it s so important is because of implications these
ideas have. Both authors put forth concepts that are indirectly related to one another
and that are highly beneficial to all who will apply them. They will force you to
conform to new environments in order to succeed, this in turn will make you more
54. The Importance Of Life In Life
Everyone in life has faced different obstacles, I mean when you re brought up you
learn that life isn t a nice pleasant place. One of my favorite quotes of all time is by
Sylvester Stallone who said, Let me tell you something you already know. The
world ain t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will
beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or
nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. Life is defined by how you advance past these
obstacles that are put in your path. Look at the successful people life such as: Bill
Gates, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Mark Cuban, etc. All of these people have
experienced failure or tragedy before making millions; however, they did not let
this tragedy impair their vision of success. In my life I have experienced many
tragedies much like everyone else in this world, but there is one tragedy that has
affected the way I am today and the outlook I have in life. Earlier this year my
grandpa had been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. For those who don t know
what pulmonary fibrosis is, it is essentially the scarring of the tissue in your lungs
causing shortness of breath and making it hard to breathe. Now I was devastated by
this obstacle in my life. I hated to sit there and watch him struggle breathingwhile just
sitting in that unembellished hospital bed. The doctors told us that there was no cure
for his disease, and that ultimately he d have to fight. They did set him up

Cinderella Man: The Peoples Princess
Ron Howard s Cinderella Man is a cinematic work that bears the ability to strike the
very core of any sentient being on planet earth. The film, which outlines the life and
times of boxer James J. Braddock, features seemingly indomitable highs in the
boxing career of The Bulldog of Burgen as well as his precipitous decent into squalor
during the Great Depression. During the depression Jim Braddock is reduced to a
shell of the man that he once was. He not only diminishes physically, but he is
forced to part ways with the pride associable with an elite boxer, and thusly Braddock
becomes a beggar at the very office where he was once a prizefighter. The former
Bulldog lives out his days making pittance as a dockworker whilst desperately trying
to keep his family from the streets. In doing so, Braddock makes a miraculous
resurgence in the boxing world and experiences an inconceivable rise to glory. The
film concludes with Braddock dethroning the notably bellicose Max Baer to become
the heavyweight boxing World Champion. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Braddock s American dream entails him slaving away while sustaining
incomprehensively devastating physical damage, so that his children and family
just might be able to live comfortably. The filmmakers are able to capture not only
the essence of the American dream, but also the essence of the American spirit. To
do this, the filmmakers focus heavily on the deep emotional toll that Braddock s
inability to provide for his family takes on him. Furthermore, the extremes
experienced by Braddock, along with the raw emotion that followed, allow The
Bulldog to be accepted into the hearts of all viewers as the peoples champion. In
essence, the vibrant themes of the film evoke emotions that endear the characters to
