Essay on The Danger of Subliminal Advertising
In modern society, advertisements and the media bombard Americans every single day. Television
advertisements, movies, radio, and even Spam mail have become a daily part of the lives of many
citizens. However, most people do not realize the sinister methods advertisers and corporations
employ with the media in order to obtain a profit. The use of subliminal and negative advertising
has increased immensely and shows no plan of stopping anytime soon. This dangerous ploy
manipulates the public and causes individuals to subconsciously crave a product or service. It is
integral that society understands the jeopardy of this malicious form of propagandaand begins to
take a stand against it for the sake of citizens privacy. Advertisers have... Show more content on

Some groups, such as the California based Center for Cognitive Liberty and Ethics (CCLE),
believes that current advertising methods and neuromarketing are methods to express thoughts (
Marketing s Mind Control ). In addition, Gemma Calvert, co founder of Neurosense, a group
pioneering the use of MRI technology in market research, believe that neuromarketing simply
improves upon advertising and poses no major threat ( Marketing s Mind Control ). But if these
small changes are not monitored, the situation will escalate until media openly dictates the
thoughts of people. Consequently, the propaganda must be checked to prevent such a scenario.
In some cases, controversial and invasive media can take the form of what is considered art,
such as a film or play (Sardar 4). Individuals will claim that the work is a form of free speech
even if it contains subliminal messaging. The government does not approve of subliminal
messaging that takes place in such outlets, as the FTC Act Section Five prohibits unfair or
deceptive acts or practices in interstate commerce (Lechnar). Unfortunately, it is virtually
impossible to act upon this law because individuals responsible for the piece will deny that
subliminal messages are present, making it more difficult for the government to prevent subliminal
messaging. Even if one is trying to make a point, he or she should

Group Development in FIS, a Consulting Services Company...
FIS is a consulting services company that provides services worldwide; the company was involved
in an off shore project of designing training materials that required the formation of a project team,
team members were expected to work effectively together and integrate their work in a successful
manner that meets the teams goals and each member has to interact with the client in order to meet
its needs. Working in teams can sometimes be stressful which could affect negatively the progress
of the team and its ability to succeed, according to Maylor (1996) that the Project is a set of non
repeated tasks that are executed with clear objectives and limited timescale, and that all projects

Conflicts during this stage can be used to strengthen the team cohesiveness and if it s durable it
can lead to destructive consequences, and that what happened with the FIS project team, all of its
conflicts remained unresolved which made him dysfunctional. The third stage in the group
development is norming where the group members become harmonized and without any conflicts
and ready to perform, in this stage the group members form a culture that helps them in resolving
all the conflicts and to cooperate and share their resources and encourages them to communicate
with each other and to leave all cultural differences aside and focus on the goals of the team, also
this stage gives a credit to the team leader that helps to promote such a culture and to create
positive climate between the members. FIS did not reach the stage because they remained in
conflict with high levels of mistrust between the members; every member has his own goals and
the team leader Rishi contributed in creating a negative climate that encouraged the members to
focus in their own goals and compete with each other. The Team leader Rishi was responsible for

The Lack Of Ppi Claim Deadline Hurt Lloyds Shares
5 Will the lack of PPI claim deadline hurt Lloyds shares?
The PPI (Payment Protection Insurance) scandal has gripped the United Kingdom, as millions
were seemingly undone by this somewhat fraudulent contractual term. PPI is also known as
credit insurance, loan repayment insurance, or credit protection insurance and relates to the
insuring of a loan repayment should a borrower become ill, unemployed, or pass away. Sadly,
while it sounded like a fair enough concept on paper, it was far from it on reality. Banks such as
Lloyds were mis selling PPI, with some even having no idea that they had PPI until they faced
charges later on. The issue related to PPI would take years to come fruition, but when it did Lloyds
shares would pay a heavy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This presents a serious issue for Lloyds and Lloyd shares, especially considering that in other
departments the bank is seen as a notably strong performer.
Addressing the matter head on, Lloyds is leading the charge when it comes to capping the time
in which a PPI claim is made. The original plan was for a deadline of 2018 to be implemented,
but Lloyds want it brought forward in attempt to boost Lloyds shares prospects. Speaking on the
matter Lloyds Finance Chief George Culmer said, We think that by implementing a shorter time
bar, it will force people s hand. It will make those people who have a potentially outstanding
claim to act more quickly . Pushing the matter forward, he has also declared the original cut off
date of 2018 to be unnecessary and excessive .
The facts are clear; people are apprehensive when it comes to Lloyds shares because the matter of
PPI has still yet to be settled. The results announcement failed to deceive in the sense that PPI is
being shown to be a huge burden on Lloyds, and in many ways is a black cloud that is hanging
over the bank. Since the turn of the 2008 credit crisis, Lloyds is one of the few banks that has
been truly able to steady ship. The problem is that due to PPI concerns that isn t necessarily
showing within the price of Lloyds shares.

Benefits Of Critical Race Theory
Furthermore, the critical race theory approach draws attention to African Americans seeking to
break historical norms to create a new respect for their race. For example, Natchez, who claims
himself to be James Fulton s nephew confines in Lila Mae about his desire to obtain his uncle s
black box, which will not only benefit his family but the African American raceas a whole. Natchez
said, They always take away from our people. I don t know if they know he was colored... When I
hear them talk about his invention, they always saying it s the future. It s the future of the cities.
But it s our future, not theirs. It s ours. And we need to take it back (Whitehead, 140). This quote
strengthens the argument of critical race theory because as previously

A Research Study On The Expression, Publish Or Perish, Is...
The expression publish or perish is the norm within all academic disciplines and researchers will
not get tenured if they do not publish academic work (Miller, Taylor Bedeian, 2011; Simmons,
Nelson Simonsohn, 2012; De Rond Miller, 2005). The same is true for professors applying for
grants or graduate students seeking scholarships, where having more publications will set someone
apart from other candidates. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as good researchers are expected
to produce good research, however standards for most scholarly journals to publish an academic
article mostly rely on significance (Sterling, 2012). Studies not finding significant results do not get
published and are often considered failures (Cumming, 2008;... Show more content on

The following will discuss the replication crisis from an undergraduate student s perspective and
how it affected my undergraduate journey specifically. Introductory statistics are part of the
problem Initial statistical courses are exciting, as students are taught the foundations of
conducting research by learning about inferential statistics. However, important topics such as
power, confidence intervals and effect sizes are briefly discussed and quickly forgotten due to
the large amount of new information taught in those courses. Over time, students simply learn to
rely on p values, where p .05, the null hypothesis is rejected and p .05, the null hypothesis is
retained. Statistics are overwhelming and a lot of practice and reading are required to fully
understand how it really works. I am a fourth year student and consider myself as having a
higher than average knowledge of statistics compared to most fellow students in my year, but I
have a lot to learn and am aware that I still do not understand most of it. That is one reason why
NHST is surviving, as it is convenient and a strong statistical knowledge is not needed to apply it
in research. The point is that appropriate ways to interpret statistics and ethical research practices
should be taught as early as possible to avoid the use of common unethical research practices. Next,
students learn

Through the Career Cruising, the three careers that I explored are Oceanographer, Commercial
Diver, and Environmental Engineer. In order to first understand these careers, I must
understand my learning styles and how it fits into the careers. According to the learning styles
test, I received a 48.57% for auditory, and a 62.86% for both kinesthetic and visual. According to
these results it means that I am primarily a hands on learner as well as visual learner; this means I
am a good fit for jobs that require observation as well as labor, and a poor fit for jobs that require

Environmental engineers focus on cleaning and protecting healthy air, soil, and water. They
monitor the quality of theses aspects to ensure healthiness in the environment. Many engineers take
part in projects around the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of water plants that
filter sewage. Some deal with garbage disposal such as landfills, and some can be assigned with
managing toxic or radioactive materials. They also evaluate government or private projects on how
they will affect the surrounding environment, and they advise companies of existing policies that
may interfere with the project development. Environmental engineers also work in flooded areas,
erosion control, and recycling. The minimum degree required is a bachelor s in environmental
science or similar. However, it is generally recommended to obtain a master s. At the entry level,
these engineers start out with an annual salary of $61,200. The median salary is $84,610, and the
experienced salary is $100,470. By 2024, the career is expected to increase by 12%. Environmental
engineers are employed by the government. For those interested in this career, useful resources

Why Chinese Immigrants Came To Canada
Why did the Chinese immigrants flux into to Canada? Firstly, the Chinese foreigners hurried into
Canada in 1856, to search for gold in British Columbia. When the gold was discovered, numerous
Chinese people who had been working in California raced into the region. The vast majority of
these migrants were youthful, landless, ignorant men from the area of Guangdong in southern
China. They came for the gold, and to escape the horrible conditions in China. The Chinese
immigrants came to Canadavia boat. They started landing in the Fraser River valley from San
Francisco, as gold miners. Secondly, the next rush of Chinese immigrants came to Canada in the
1880s to build the last area of the Canadian Pacific Railway in British Columbia. They were... Show

For one thing, the Chinese head tax was collected on Chinese immigration to Canada between
1885 and 1923, under the Chinese Immigration Act (1885). With a couple of special cases,
Chinese individuals needed to pay $50 (later raised to $100, then $500) to come and live
Canada. The most messed up, most devastating thing was that they left their families back in
China. The head tax made it impossible for a Chinese worker to bring their families to Canada.
The Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper (in 2006) apologized to Chinese immigrants, and
their families, symbolic payments to living head tax payers and living spouses of deceased
payers. . As a matter of fact, for decades, the Chinese immigrants were treated poorly. They
couldn t vote, practice law or medicine and hold public office. They were being discriminated
and felt hated. A Chinese head tax payer said that he was too scared to show his family his
Chinese head tax certificate. He was scared to show them it because he didn t want them to have
any bad feelings about living in Canada. It was hard for the survivors because their families
couldn t speak English. So when they would reunite it would be hard, if they could reunite. A

Theme Of Politics In Animal Farm By George Orwell
Orwell was successful at fusing political purpose and artistic purpose into one whole.
Throughout the three pieces of literature Animal Farm, Why I Write , Politics and language
Orwell makes it apparent that politics plays a significant role in a great deal of his works. As he
explains in the essay Why I Write, Every line of serious work I have written since 1936 has been
written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism. (Houghton).
This statement clearly reveals how any serious work after 1936 has some political background
within it. For Animal Farm an allegory to the russian revolution in the main use of politics, where
as Why I Write and Politics and Language clearly illustrate his idea of how politics should be
within writing.
On the surface, George Orwell s novel Animal Farm is about a group of neglected farm animals
who overthrow their owner and take control of their farm. However, under the surface the novel
allegory detailing the events on the Russian Revolution. Orwell wrote Animal Farm in response
to his opinion on the Russian Revolution. The author s use of anthropomorphism and
commondiction leads us to believe he intended the novel to be read by the everyday man or lay
person. The novel is written as a warning to readers with its central theme that power corrupts and
absolute power corrupts absolutely. The author uses a detached 3rd person narrative pointer view
to describe the events as they unfold in the story. While Orwell uses many stylistics devices in
Animal Farm the two that impart the reader the most while developing a message are symbolism
and irony. Ultimately the tone in the narrative shift is from one of hope to one of despair as Orwell
weaves historagictove of the animal rebellion on manor farm.
Why I write is an essay by George Orwell, as the title of the essay suggests, it is an explanatory
essay which focuses on the writer himself and his motivations for writing. Within the article it
summarizes Orwell s writing career but, also highlights some important motives that exist in almost
all writers. The author s intended audience would be other writers. It is apparent that Orwell s
intended audience is other writers because, he

Impact Of Cloud On The Organization s Network Infrastructure
Introduction:
The central theme of this essay focuses on the impact of cloud on the organization s network
infrastructure. While going through the impact we will also analyze how to optimize network
performance for cloud and we will also discuss about how the cloud impact the lifecycle
orchestration and the organization. The key aspect o the cloud is discussed in detail with suitable
examples.
Background:
The cloud computing is noting but storing the data and information n the internet, instead of
saving the data on the computer hard drive. Since the data and information are stored in the cloud,
it becomes easy to access the data from anywhere in the world (Griffith, 2016). Due to the data
availability the data integrity is affected in the cloud. Cloud provides a flexible bandwidth, if the
organization demands increases we can scale up the cloud capacity. The maintenance cost is low
(cloud , 2015). Due to this reasons the organizations are moving towards the cloud.
Due to the changing need of the IT the cloud also changed, it has combined with WAN and SD
WAN. Due to this the managing if cloud in a large organization has become easier. In summary we
will discuss in detail about cloud as organizational WAN. The other aspects like optimizing the
network performance is also discussed in detail.
Optimizing network performance for the cloud:
The cloud makes a few organizations overlook the essentials of IT, things like capacity
management, change control, and network

Maryka Wife Monologue
June, 1935: It has been a long day. The last few days have been long, drawn out by the
uncertainty and anger my wife and I share. We have every reason to stand together, hold each
other and lament, cry in to each other s shoulders. However, we stand with our backs to each
other, a growing distance between us. Our daughter, Malva, our brand new baby girl not much
more than two years old, is dying. She is so young, but still the hands of deathreach for her. Her
head is swollen. Cerebrospinal fluid, the fluid that is supposed to keep you brain safe, protecting
it from life s falls and trauma. Instead, it is killing her. She has too much of it, it is swelling inside
her head, pushing on her skull and brain. Despite the tragedy we share, Maryka... Show more

I live in my nice house, here on Isla Negra. However, what I ve done to get me here, it haunts me.
I have not killed anybody myself, there is no blood staining my hands. However, it feels like
there should be, for all I have survived. For all those who stood by me, that bled. There is only so
much a person should have to live with, only so much a person can live with before the darkness
behind them becomes overwhelming. I feel like, looking back on everything that I have
experienced, that everybody has a past that is dark. Everybody has things they have seen that haunt
them, that cloud the memories you would like to preserve, tainting them with the sorrow of
another time. When I look back, I see those I have lost, such as Malva and Maryka, my first true
love. She left to go back to Europe, and that was the last time I ever saw her. She took my only
daughter with her, where she would die 6 years later. I try to think back to the times where we
loved each other, where we had no quarrel or conflict, but it is clouded by the years of turmoil
and anger. I too moved to Europe, where I stayed with Delia del Carril in France before moving
to a diplomatic position in Spain. Here, I met with a new group of literary enthusiasts, some much
younger and some my age. However, living and writing in Spain was not long lived. A friend,
Federico GarcГa Lorca, was executed by Franco. The area of Madrid that I lived in was attacked
and burned, children killed by merciless soldiers. The time before the fall, the peace before the
storm, is blurred out and empty to think about, as it is overshadowed by the tragedy and loss that
it proceeded. I know that my memories are unique to me, and that some carry some much worse,
and that others don t carry very many in the first place. Things have changed, my perspective and
understanding of the world and the way its inhabitants work has been altered greatly. I see the light
of my past, reflecting back upon the things I have

Yet, while consuming this entertainment, I also find myself aware of my own media literacy.
As someone who grew up in a newsy household, I would say that my media literacy, or the

my need for mental entertainment. Furthermore, I can identify the biases influencing my media

Manual Sizing Of Analog Blocks
There is around 10 to 200 real valued parameters in an analog circuit, and value of these
parameters must be set in order to meet the specification .Circuit sizing is the process of setting
these parameters. for example a simple two stage operational amplifier has around 12 parameters
,which includes width, length and passive component values of all transistors which have to be set
to achieve specifications such as CMRR(common mode rejection ratio), gain, power ,area
,bandwidth ,noise ,settling time ,offset value and slew rate . Figure 1 two stage operational amplifier
There are 6 mosfets in this figure, so we have two compute values of width and height of 6 mosfets
along with other parameters such as slew rate, bandwidth and noise margin.
A system on a chip (SOC) is an integrated circuit that integrates all components of a electronic
system into a single chip. SOC is made automated to a large extent. Manual sizing of analog blocks
is a bottleneck. There are several methods and techniques of sizing; circuit sizing is an optimization
problem. SPICE model is being considered the most accurate model as the final check point is
spice correctness since the designer does not have access to the fabrication process so designer
relies on the simulator. Apart from spice there are circuit equations. These equations can be derived
taking some assumption with regard to the transistor behavior. There are three

U.s. Democracy And Canadian Democracy
In the contemporary world, democracy is one of the most progressive system of government that
states freedom as a core value. Democracy is based on the free expression of people s opinions,
points of view as well as their opposition to the government actions. Citizens have a great control
over the political events taking place in their country because through the elections they can select
the right candidate who will be able to represent their interests. Core values of the democracysuch
as freedom, equality, pursuit of happiness are similar in different countries. However, the
implementation of democracies may vary. USA and Canadaare two big and prosperous countries
that can be a prime example of how democracies may vary despite all the similarities. There are
three major differences between US democracy and Canadian democracy such as consensus or in
other words substantive goals of political actions, checks and balances or how do different branches
of government work, and the last but not least federalism in regards to the division of power
between federal government and territorial entities. The first and the most important difference
between US and Canadian democracy is consensus. The initial word consensus means general
agreement. In terms of politics, consensus means an agreement on the substantive goals of the
country or in other words political program that includes an implementation plan of the alternative
solutions to the country s problems or threats. Democratic

population grew and the demand for freshwater for humans consumption increased as well

conditions along the Hudson River did not require any chemical testing to confirm the volume of
pollution that it was blatantly obvious by the form debris on the bottom as well as with materials
floating in the water. Unfortunately this was not a remote situation but was discovered in multiple
locations along the Hudson River [4]. These cases initially started out in small isolated areas but
due to the increase in population as well as expanding industrial complexes nearly waterways the

life wrote the narrative for him, passing from incident to incident with a grace their creator could
never achieve in manipulating an artificial plot (Kaplan 16).
His best friend of forty years William D. Howells, has this to say about Twain s writing. So far as
I know, Mr. Clemens is the first writer to use in extended writing the fashion we all use in thinking,
and to set down the thing that comes into his mind without fear or favor of the thing that went
before or the thing that may be about to follow (Howells 186).
The main character, Huckleberry Finn, spends much time in the novel floating down the
Mississippi River on a raft with a runaway slave named Jim. Before he does so, however, Huck
spends some time in the fictional town of St. Petersburg where a number of people attempt to
influence him. Huck^Г’s feelings grow through the novel. Especially in his feelings toward his
friends, family, blacks, and society. Throughout the book, Huck usually looks into his own heart for
guidance. Moral intuition is the basis on which his character rests.
Before the novel begins, Huck Finn has led a life of absolute freedom. His drunken and often
missing father has never paid much attention to him; his mother is dead and so, when the novel
begins, Huck is not used to following any rules. In the beginning of the book Huck

Evolution of Hip-Hop
Evolution of Hip Hop From where it started to where it is now, Cuban hip hop has transformed
greatly. Without the United States, hip hop in Cuba certainly would not be where it is today.
The United States is the hub of hip hop and helped to jumpstart hip hop in Cuba. While this is
true, hip hop in the United States completely differs from that of Cuba for the better. Even
though hip hop in Cuba did not start from much, the amount of development and influence this
music has towards Cuba is immeasurable. Around 1970, 44 years ago, hip hop emerged in the
West Bronx of New York. The culture of hip hop incorporates many aspects besides just the
music itself, such as DJing, graffiti, breakdancing, and urban fashion. Hip hop mainly started
from DJ s separating the break in rock, funk and other types of songs, as well as the MC playing
a major role in the development of hip hop. In between the songs that the DJ was playing, the
MC would speak in between the songs, make jokes and many other actions in order to get the
crowd riled up. This eventually led up to the practice of hip hop to become more conventional,
resulting in the forming of hip hop. Kool DJ Herc did all of this in 1970, who is believed to be
the one who started the emergence of hip hop. At first, DJ Herc would deliver rhymes over reggae
track; however, this did not engage people s attention enough. Because the people were not
engaged, DJ Herc had to find another way to satisfy the audience, which came from him

Essay of Comparison between The Tiger and The Lamb, poems...
Essay of Comparison between The Tiger and The Lamb, poems by William Blake
The Tiger and The Lamb were poems by William Blake, a poet who lived in the 18th century. In
this essay I am going to compare the two poems and examine links between them relating to
rhymes, patterns and words used.
Blake s background relates on the poems he wrote, and many of his works reflected his early
home life. Blake in his childhood was an outcast, a loner, and didn t have many friends. His family
believed very strongly in God and were extremely pious Christians but did not agree with the
teachings of the church, so young William Blake often was made to think about God and his
teachings during his studies.
Because his parents were rebels ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In The Lamb the poem is mainly very well structured and flows. In the first verse it has the
questions and in the second verse it has all the answers. If you were only to look at the poem
briefly you would believe it was a children s poem, a hopscotch poem or playground chant, until
you remember that Blake could not have known these as he did not attend school. The reader
would think this because of the simple vocabulary, and also if you notice, the poem uses soft
alliteration little lamb this gave a much softer feel to the poem, obviously putting one in mind of
children and their innocence.
Blake was a very holy and pious person. He often out biblical discourse into many of his poems,
as I have stated before. I found some plain biblical tones in The Lamb the next quotation shows
this point. He is meek, and he is mild . . . became a little child .
This quotation is from the New Testament, where God was forgiving, whereas in the Old Testament
God was believed to punish people for their sins i.e. Noah and the Ark, in which God drowns the
entire human race apart from Noah and his family. The fact that there is biblical content in The
Lamb is inspiring and was maybe meant to give a sense of hope. The lack of biblical discussion in
The Tiger gives the reader a sense of lack if reprieve, lack of hope and a sense of the
prison of the world and all

Curiosity In Poison, A Sound Of Thunder And
Curiosity is almost a necessity to lifestyle. It can lead the mind to learn new things. However, it
can also be dangerous, it can lead your mind to wander past your boundaries and put yourself in
danger. The protagonists in the short stories Poison, A Sound of Thunder and The Most Dangerous
Game are flawed by one common theme curiosity of the mind; this helps create the story for the
reader.
In the short story Poison by Roald Dahl, Harry Pope is laying in his bed while a Krait, which is
a poisonous snake, crawls onto his stomach. When Harry s buddy, Timber, gets home, Harry
expresses concern for the snake, explaining how he hasn t moved for hours in fear of being bit.

If he were to ever experience something like this again, and it actually happened, they might

Richard Connell wrote the short story, The Most Dangerous Game. Rainsford and Whitney are
very successful hunters. While they are traveling across the ocean, they passed the island feared
by sailors, Ship Trap Island. As Whitney and Rainsford talked, Whitney grew tired and went to
sleep. Rainford stayed on the deck of the boat and laid in a lawn chair. Suddenly An abrupt
sound startled him. Off to the right he heard it, and his ears, expert in such matters, could not be
mistaken. Again he heard the sound, and again. Somewhere, off in the blackness, someone had
fired a gun three times. (Connell 18 19) He peered over the edge of the boat looking at the island
and down in the ocean, he could see nothing. He got on the rail, trying to balance but he lost his
balance and fell over the side

and Cognition Psychology unit, between the ages of 19 to 49 years, recruited through convenience
sampling. Participants were then randomly assigned into three groups; the Control group consisted

Material
Participants were required to take part in an online custom designed applet from the Online
Psychology Laboratory, authored by Mark Tew and Ken McGraw, University of Mississippi. The
customised applet contained a variation of the original Muller Lyer illusion, which studies the
effect in fin angle, which varies from 15 degrees to 160 degrees (in every 15В° interval) on the

This group used these elements very well. The shape of their tribute was very unique with the
long slim design that grows larger at the end with the soccer ball. The form was a part of it as
well because the artwork was 3d. It had a very small depth and width but the height was very
tall. The volume was portrayed in a few places like were the gold color meets the dark blue bat
or the white hand print is on the black grip. There were several lines in their artwork especially
on the soccer ball. To me the color of the artwork stood out including hues of gold, blue, black,
white, and purple. The intensity of the gold color stood out to me. I noticed value in the colors
were the black was on the dark blue. The project takes up all positive space due to the fact that it
has no background but it would be neat to add a large white background to it. The final element
of art that was put into this artwork was texture which we can see on the smooth area of the ball
and the metal bat. The tribute to Dario Escobar used every single element of art in obvious ways
making this a great work of art and tribute to

Stereosonic Target Audience
1.Billboard, vehicle, street press and outdoor campaigns are used by Stereosonic to capture a
larger audience. Patron postcode data is used to place billboards and posters at key spots
(Marketing Magazine 2011). The majority of Australians spend more time out and about in summer
(Adshel Summer Campaign 2012). This increase the opportunity for Stereosonic s billboards and
outdoor advertisement to be seen. It is broadcasted by location, universities, bus/tram shelters, bus

(Huynh 2014). Future Music Festival uses this strategy too but also see guerrilla marketingas an
effective method (refer to Appendix A). Outdoor advertisement may be used to drive the target
audience online and in particular to the festival s website. Thus, billboards and outdoor

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Carbon Fibre
Carbon fibre is a very toxic element which can cause dust inhalation during the manufacturing
processes as the fibre breaks, skin irritation and shortcuts when used with electrical equipment (as
carbon fibre is a good conductor of electricity). Therefore people working with it must wear
protective mask and the electrical equipment should be sealed. Carbon is a distinctive material with
many interesting engineering qualities. The opportunity to improve mechanical properties of such
a vaulable material and to reduce brittleness has been the inspiration for developments of a
indispensable material, carbon fibre reinforced carbon that has been used to manufacture rocket

Many resins used as matrices for glass fibres allow the spreading of the water, the protection of
reinforcing filaments is often not satisfied in many glass reinforced polymers (GRP) and the
enviromental damage that occurs is worsened by stress. Loads applied to composite structure are
transferred to the fibre materials in the composite, to the load bearing components, and to the
matrix, allowing the composite to resist compression, flexural and shear forces aswell as tensile
loads (Harris, 1999). The likely hood to reinforcing any given material will depend to some extent
on its ability to carry out some or all of these matrix functions, but there are other analysis such as
the standard of various classes of matrix materials (Harris, 1999). Among the ploymetric matrices,
the epoxy resins are widely used in aeronautical industry. Epoxy resins satisfy the mechanical
strength, chemical resistance and service temperature requirements. The modification of epoxy
matrix with thermoplastic polymers in the aeronautical industry aims to reduce the mechanical
damage of polymeric composites by impact loads. Therefore the use of modified polymeric matrix
in the composite manufacture requires a systematic evaluation of the mechanical

Research Paper On Smartphone Addiction
Phone Addictions The smartphone is a poisonous thing we have in this world. People find what
it can really do to you in everyday life. As technology grows into days time the phobia gets worse
everyday, apps consuming people s social life or even just their life. The effects on students and
adults are unbelievable stats. Nomophia is a disease that makes you addicted to your mobile
phone. As the technology grows in the community people get more attached to their phones. The
key reason for this is that smartphones have become central in communication and are perceived
necessary to own in order to stay in touch with others, (Tran). The technology has grown
tremendously throughout the 2,000, and this just helps nomophia. The More the phone does the
more addicted people get to their mobile device. When you think of addictions you might think of
drugs, and alcohol, even though this disorder is not bad as drugs or alcohol it is still an addiction.
On the phone people can now start to gamble, and do other bad things. The phone addiction started
leading to the effects of how people sleep and how they fill in the morning. Zarin Rahman, 17,
became interested in sleep and cell phone use through personal experience, (Brookshire). The
scientist that are observing people about phones at night discovered that the next morning the
people woke up were struggling throughout the day. Most people that stay up late are usually

Symptoms Of Chronic Wasting Disease
In the last 13 years, cases of Chronic Wasting Disease have increased to over 25% in bucks and
over 10% in does (Marien). With CWD being such a deadly disease, the rising percentage of
cases has led to decreasing deer populations. Because the spread of CWD has resulted in many
deaths, fewer hunting tags are allowed in affected areas to help the deerherd get healthy again. It is
possible, though, that as the populations grow back, CWD may also become more prevalent.
Actually stopping this tragic disease is a challenge, but plans must be put in place to bring its
spread to a halt. Therefore, it is important that hunters and the general public be informed of what
CWD is, how it is spread, how it affects animals, and what can be done to... Show more content on

To avoid the death of the entire herd, it is important for the farmer to be able to identify the
symptoms and confirm whether or not CWD is present. If any of the deer test positive, the
farmer should put those animals down. This will not only stop the spread of CWD, but it will
also stop the animals from suffering as it can take a long time for them to finally expire after
getting this disease. Unfortunately, it is hard to tell whether an animal is infected with CWD, since
it could take up to as much as 18 months for the disease to disable the central nervous system of the
deer. Of course, it can set in sooner or later, but with a deer infected for such a long time, it could
lead to the owner having to put down the rest of his animals due to possible contamination.
Killing captive animals that may be infected is a necessary safety precaution in case some of
them escape into the wild. In fact, this happened in Fairchild, Wisconsin. Twenty deer from an
infected deer farm fled when a tree fell and knocked over the fence. Of them, 17 were either shot
or returned and eventually put down. In the end, all of the deer at the Fairchild farm, 228 in total,
had been put down. Of those 228 deer, 23 were found CWD positive. It is certainly possible then
that any of the three unfound escaped deer could have also been infected and spread CWD
throughout the surrounding herds. After the gun season in that

The Death Of A Woman
In the aftermath, Lily often wondered why Voldemort had given her the chance to save herself,
not just once, but three times. The most logical assumption was that he d simply been amusing
himself before delivering the killing blow, knowing she d never step aside and leave her baby
undefended. But if that had been the case, she wouldn t have survived at all. Why spare her,
someone who openly despised everything he stood for? What would inspire him to preserve the
life of a woman he could only see as a Mudblood, with nothing to distinguish her from countless
others who d already been slaughtered at his behest? Of course, none of these questions crossed
Lily s mind on the night he came to murder her child. There was only room for hysterical pleas,
words she would never recall after they d been spoken, and a scattered internal monologue of,
Please no, not Harry... I can t bear it... Not my baby! Stand aside, you silly girl. Stand aside, now.
Yes, she d remember his words, along with the detached and altogether irrelevant observation that
for a man so full of hatred, the insult he d tossed in her direction was surprisingly mild. And she d

emphasize that structuration rejects the concepts of structure and agency and instead connects
these two ideas by looking at individual interactions in a particular event and location. Using this

Problem Of Gun Crime
The major problems with gun crime occur because lots of guns are illegally resold. The Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms study recently claimed that half of all gun seized from young
criminals were purchased legally by straw buyers and then resold. This suggests that the
problematic direct buyers are mostly not criminals but straw buyers. With this fact, minimizing or
limiting resell firearmsbusiness is the main goal to deal with this strategy.
To minimize or limit any resell gun business, one of the best way is to put strict liability on resell
gun business. Since the government regulations and laws have worked well to prevent the direct
sale between the firm and criminal, the additional rule over first hand buyer can only be better.

Antony And Cleopatra Comparison Analysis
In Antony and Cleopatra, Shakespeare shifts from praising Antony as a great warrior to
condemning him by depicting the gradual decline of his honor and image in order to show his
inner battle between reason and emotion. This is an apparent theme in both the book and the
play, though there might be some small differences, both shows how this inner battle defeats
him and leaves Cleopatra with most of the power. One thing that I noticed is that Cleopatra
seemed far more regal in the book than in the play. For example, in the book when Antony wants
Scarus to kiss her favoring hand (205), he makes it sound like a big honor that he is able to do
this. In addition, the way he describes her makes me imagine that it is a regal and important
moment. In the play, however she does a little dance after he kisses her hand, which to me
seemed like she was acting inappropriately and taking away the importance of the moment. It is
almost as if she was undermining what the warrior had done. She made what should have been a
serious and honorable moment and turned it into a joke. Even though Antony loves Cleopatra
his rational side takes over when he decides to marry Octavia in order to show his loyalty to
Rome. He knows that his duty is to Rome and it is where he is supposed to be and the people of
Rome are not happy about all of the time he has been spending in Egypt. To fix this and mend their
bond Antony agrees to marry Caesar s sister Octavia. This mend is shown when Caesar says that the

Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey Essay
In Roe v. Wade, in 1973, the Supreme Court held a case that a pregnant woman has the full privacy
right to have an abortion. The right to abortion is not guaranteed and must be stable against the
State s countervailing benefits in keeping the health of the woman and in protecting the life of the
unborn child. The State s belief in protecting the health of the woman becomes definite, therefore
greatly enough to support state ruling of abortion under the strict scrutiny standard of judicial
review; after the first trimester, which is the stage of pregnancy when abortion becomes dangerous
to the mother carrying the child to term. The State s concern in protecting the life of the unborn
child becomes irresistible, after possibility, the stage of pregnancy when the unborn child is capable
of independent life. Because neither interest is irresistible before the second trimester, the State
may not regulate abortion in the first trimester either to reserve the woman s health or to protect the
life of the unborn child. After the first trimester the State may control the act of an abortion, but
only for the purpose of protecting the woman s health, not for the purpose of protecting the life of
the unborn child. After viability, the State may regulate, and even forbid, abortion to protect the life
of the unborn child, except when the act of abortion is needed to

Arguments Against Legalizing Drugs
Illegal drugs affect people every day whether it be through consumption or tax dollars collected to
fight the war on drugs. Drugs in America are undoubtedly dangerous and unhealthy; however, many
Americans believe the United States will benefit from legalizing drugs. Prohibition has shown
failure to stop illegal narcotics, therefore he United Statesshould consider legalizing drugs to put an
end to this on going war on drugs. There are many reasons the United States should legalize drugs
including saving money, reducing crime, and making drugconsumption safer.
The first benefit of legalizing drugs is saving money. According to we are the drug policy alliance,
the U.S. spends more than $51,000,000,000 annually battling the war on drugs (P, 2002). Every
year, more and more money is consistently spent battling an endless war on drugs. The current

In a regulated and organized environment, drugs would be safer for adults and less reachable to
children. Illegal drugs will no longer be made in the dirtiest facilities and by unqualified
individuals. Drugs will be made by medical specialists, reducing the number of overdose and
poisoning deaths. Illegal drugs are known to be made in dirty facilities. Prohibition on drugs
causes users restricted access to clean hypodermic needles (P, 2002). Drug users inject the drugs
such as heroin with hypodermic needles because that s the way to get the biggest, longest high
for the money (2014). If one consumer has infected blood and some of their blood enters the
needle as it s pulled out, the next person to use the needle is likely to shoot the contaminated
blood into their own blood. Legalizing drugs will slow the spread of AIDS by allowing and
promoting the sale of clean hypodermic needles. With needles being inexpensive and openly
accessible, the drug users will not have to share them with others and risk obtaining a deadly virus

Television advertisements, movies, radio, and even Spam mail have become a daily part of the lives of many citizens. However, most people do not realize the sinister methods advertisers and corporations employ with the media in order to obtain a profit. The use of subliminal and negative advertising has increased immensely and shows no plan of stopping anytime soon. In addition, Gemma Calvert, co founder of Neurosense, a group pioneering the use of MRI technology in market research, believe that neuromarketing simply improves upon advertising and poses no major threat ( Marketing s Mind Control ). But if these small changes are not monitored, the situation will escalate until media openly dictates the thoughts of people. Consequently, the propaganda must be checked to prevent such a scenario. In some cases, controversial and invasive media can take the form of what is considered art, such as a film or play (Sardar 4). Individuals will claim that the work is a form of free speech even if it contains subliminal messaging. The government does not approve of subliminal messaging that takes place in such outlets, as the FTC Act Section Five prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices in interstate commerce (Lechnar). Unfortunately, it is virtually impossible to act upon this law because individuals responsible for the piece will deny that subliminal messages are present, making it more difficult for the government to prevent subliminal messaging. The PPI (Payment Protection Insurance) scandal has gripped the United Kingdom, as millions were seemingly undone by this somewhat fraudulent contractual term. PPI is also known as credit insurance, loan repayment insurance, or credit protection insurance and relates to the insuring of a loan repayment should a borrower become ill, unemployed, or pass away. Sadly, while it sounded like a fair enough concept on paper, it was far from it on reality. Banks such as Lloyds were mis selling PPI, with some even having no idea that they had PPI until they faced charges later on. This presents a serious issue for Lloyds and Lloyd shares, especially considering that in other departments the bank is seen as a notably strong performer. Addressing the matter head on, Lloyds is leading the charge when it comes to capping the time in which a PPI claim is made. The original plan was for a deadline of 2018 to be implemented, but Lloyds want it brought forward in attempt to boost Lloyds shares prospects. Speaking on the matter Lloyds Finance Chief George Culmer said, We think that by implementing a shorter time bar, it will force people s hand. It will make those people who have a potentially outstanding claim to act more quickly . Pushing the matter forward, he has also declared the original cut off date of 2018 to be unnecessary and excessive . The facts are clear; people are apprehensive when it comes to Lloyds shares because the matter of PPI has still yet to be settled. The results announcement failed to deceive in the sense that PPI is being shown to be a huge burden on Lloyds, and in many ways is a black cloud that is hanging over the bank. The expression publish or perish is the norm within all academic disciplines and researchers will not get tenured if they do not publish academic work (Miller, Taylor Bedeian, 2011; Simmons, Nelson Simonsohn, 2012; De Rond Miller, 2005). The same is true for professors applying for grants or graduate students seeking scholarships, where having more publications will set someone apart from other candidates. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as good researchers are expected to produce good research, however standards for most scholarly journals to publish an academic article mostly rely on significance (Sterling, 2012). Introductory statistics are part of the problem Initial statistical courses are exciting, as students are taught the foundations of conducting research by learning about inferential statistics. However, important topics such as power, confidence intervals and effect sizes are briefly discussed and quickly forgotten due to the large amount of new information taught in those courses. Over time, students simply learn to rely on p values, where p .05, the null hypothesis is rejected and p .05, the null hypothesis is retained. Statistics are overwhelming and a lot of practice and reading are required to fully understand how it really works. I am a fourth year student and consider myself as having a higher than average knowledge of statistics compared to most fellow students in my year, but I have a lot to learn and am aware that I still do not understand most of it. That is one reason why NHST is surviving, as it is convenient and a strong statistical knowledge is not needed to apply it in research. Throughout the three pieces of literature Animal Farm, Why I Write , Politics and language Orwell makes it apparent that politics plays a significant role in a great deal of his works. As he explains in the essay Why I Write, Every line of serious work I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism. (Houghton). This statement clearly reveals how any serious work after 1936 has some political background within it. For Animal Farm an allegory to the russian revolution in the main use of politics, where as Why I Write and Politics and Language clearly illustrate his idea of how politics should be within writing. On the surface, George Orwell s novel Animal Farm is about a group of neglected farm animals who overthrow their owner and take control of their farm. However, under the surface the novel allegory detailing the events on the Russian Revolution. Orwell wrote Animal Farm in response to his opinion on the Russian Revolution. The author s use of anthropomorphism and commondiction leads us to believe he intended the novel to be read by the everyday man or lay person. The novel is written as a warning to readers with its central theme that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The author uses a detached 3rd person narrative pointer view to describe the events as they unfold in the story. While Orwell uses many stylistics devices in Animal Farm the two that impart the reader the most while developing a message are symbolism and irony. Ultimately the tone in the narrative shift is from one of hope to one of despair as Orwell weaves historagictove of the animal rebellion on manor farm. The key aspect o the cloud is discussed in detail with suitable examples. Background: The cloud computing is noting but storing the data and information n the internet, instead of saving the data on the computer hard drive. Since the data and information are stored in the cloud, it becomes easy to access the data from anywhere in the world (Griffith, 2016). Due to the data availability the data integrity is affected in the cloud. Cloud provides a flexible bandwidth, if the organization demands increases we can scale up the cloud capacity. The maintenance cost is low (cloud , 2015). Due to this reasons the organizations are moving towards the cloud. Due to the changing need of the IT the cloud also changed, it has combined with WAN and SD WAN. Due to this the managing if cloud in a large organization has become easier. The culture of hip hop incorporates many aspects besides just the music itself, such as DJing, graffiti, breakdancing, and urban fashion. Hip hop mainly started from DJ s separating the break in rock, funk and other types of songs, as well as the MC playing a major role in the development of hip hop. In between the songs that the DJ was playing, the MC would speak in between the songs, make jokes and many other actions in order to get the crowd riled up. This eventually led up to the practice of hip hop to become more conventional, resulting in the forming of hip hop. Kool DJ Herc did all of this in 1970, who is believed to be the one who started the emergence of hip hop. At first, DJ Herc would deliver rhymes over reggae track; however, this did not engage people s attention enough. Because the people were not engaged, DJ Herc had to find another way to satisfy the audience, which came from him ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay of Comparison between The Tiger and The Lamb, poems by William Blake The Tiger and The Lamb were poems by William Blake, a poet who lived in the 18th century. In this essay I am going to compare the two poems and examine links between them relating to rhymes, patterns and words used. Blake s background relates on the poems he wrote, and many of his works reflected his early home life. Blake in his childhood was an outcast, a loner, and didn t have many friends. His family believed very strongly in God and were extremely pious Christians but did not agree with the teachings of the church, so young William Blake often was made to think about God and his teachings during his studies. Because his parents were rebels ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In The Lamb the poem is mainly very well structured and flows. In the first verse it has the questions and in the second verse it has all the answers. If you were only to look at the poem briefly you would believe it was a children s poem, a hopscotch poem or playground chant, until you remember that Blake could not have known these as he did not attend school. The reader would think this because of the simple vocabulary, and also if you notice, the poem uses soft alliteration little lamb this gave a much softer feel to the poem, obviously putting one in mind of children and their innocence. Blake was a very holy and pious person. He often out biblical discourse into many of his poems, as I have stated before. I found some plain biblical tones in The Lamb the next quotation shows this point. He is meek, and he is mild . . . became a little child . This quotation is from the New Testament, where God was forgiving, whereas in the Old Testament God was believed to punish people for their sins i.e. Noah and the Ark, in which God drowns the entire human race apart from Noah and his family. The fact that there is biblical content in The Lamb is inspiring and was maybe meant to give a sense of hope. The lack of biblical discussion in The Tiger gives the reader a sense of lack if reprieve, lack of hope and a sense of the prison of the world and all ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If any of the deer test positive, the farmer should put those animals down. Unfortunately, it is hard to tell whether an animal is infected with CWD, since it could take up to as much as 18 months for the disease to disable the central nervous system of the deer. Of course, it can set in sooner or later, but with a deer infected for such a long time, it could lead to the owner having to put down the rest of his animals due to possible contamination. Killing captive animals that may be infected is a necessary safety precaution in case some of them escape into the wild. In fact, this happened in Fairchild, Wisconsin. Twenty deer from an infected deer farm fled when a tree fell and knocked over the fence. Of them, 17 were either shot or returned and eventually put down. In the end, all of the deer at the Fairchild farm, 228 in total, had been put down. Of those 228 deer, 23 were found CWD positive. Antony And Cleopatra Comparison Analysis In Antony and Cleopatra, Shakespeare shifts from praising Antony as a great warrior to condemning him by depicting the gradual decline of his honor and image in order to show his inner battle between reason and emotion. This is an apparent theme in both the book and the play, though there might be some small differences, both shows how this inner battle defeats him and leaves Cleopatra with most of the power. One thing that I noticed is that Cleopatra seemed far more regal in the book than in the play. For example, in the book when Antony wants Scarus to kiss her favoring hand (205), he makes it sound like a big honor that he is able to do this. In addition, the way he describes her makes me imagine that it is a regal and important moment. In the play, however she does a little dance after he kisses her hand, which to me seemed like she was acting inappropriately and taking away the importance of the moment. It is almost as if she was undermining what the warrior had done. She made what should have been a serious and honorable moment and turned it into a joke. Even though Antony loves Cleopatra his rational side takes over when he decides to marry Octavia in order to show his loyalty to Rome. He knows that his duty is to Rome and it is where he is supposed to be and the people of Rome are not happy about all of the time he has been spending in Egypt.
