- Courses available from SCQF level 3 to SCQF level 7. Since opening 2009 we have enrolled 193 students onto courses – FT/PT/WB and many more have been to the hotel on one day taster courses. This year almost 100 pupils have attended taster days in the hotel. Employ modern apprentices in the hotel All our employees have the opportunity to gain qualifications. We currently have 5 young people working towards SVQ Level 2 Hospitality, and 2 about to begin SVQ Level 3 Supervision and leadership on the employed MA route
- Why hotel? Customers are always around and – the most important people in the hotel The expectation on students is that they will work hard to provide a good service Students have a role in the business – if they don’t turn up it will have consequences Students learn that team work is necessary for providing a service Involvement in competition work and events fosters ambition Everything they do is for real – therefore shoddy work is never acceptable
- Getting innovative with our own activity – increasing the number of programmes available inc a new international MBA- while reducing the number of individual modules
