• What is it?
– Implemented to assist with marketing of Career Services
workshops and events
– Team of faculty members who announce our workshops
and events to their students
– Provide incentives to students for attendance
• Implemented in 2009
6. Faculty Support Team
• What do we offer?
– Direct connections to employers who can speak to classes,
schedule industry visits, or provide information of value to
students and graduates
– A complimentary ticket to our Business Etiquette
Luncheon
– Priority scheduling for Career Services presentations and
class visits
– Letter of recommendation or support for promotion and
tenure review or other faculty recognition opportunities
– Special end-of-year event to express appreciation and
receive feedback

Week-long program designed to help
graduating seniors focus their career
search. Focuses on:
• Knowing Yourself
• Getting Focused

• What is it?
– Students who have completed orientation come back on
campus for workshops to assist the acclimation to campus
• Past – Presented on and off campus jobs
• In 2014 we presented Career Services to 240
students (EDGE program)
– 200 of those students created LinkedIn accounts
• Future – Implement LinkedIn assignment in CSU

What is EDGE?
– Targeted approach to increase student

– University-wide effort

The Major Components of EDGE are:
– Infuse learning opportunities as much as possible
into the curriculum and what we already do
– Construct and offer opportunities appropriate for
each phase of the developmental journey as
students begin to focus on internship and career
readiness
– Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to
identify what works most effectively
