Who are we?
4. 1- FIRST CONTACT
Either an ambassador, a representative of the Regional
School Office or the NSS directly. Provide general info
2 – TTI EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
soft start with exchange of letters, then MoU
3 - STAKEHOLDERS INVOLVEMENT & SUPPORT
Informative meeting, either at distance or in presence +
put the TTI in contact with the regional ambassadors and
school authorities that carry out the eTwinning training
4 – PLAN FLEXIBLE TTI ACTIVITIES
AT NATIONAL AND REGIONAL LEVEL
Trainings, meetings, projects…
8. Support TTI
• Personal contact with person in charge and personalized
support
• Put TTI in contact with Local School Authority in charge of
the Regional eTwinning Workplan and with eTwinning
ambassadors
• NSS visits to TTIs on request
• Info Page on our website http://etwinning.indire.it/teachers-training-project/
9. • Access to all regional and local eTwinning seminars (circa
200 events per year)
• Ad hoc seminars integrated in the Regional eTwinning
Work Plans
• Priority access to our eTwinning online Course
• Possibility to ask the participation of an NSS member to
one of their event/training
Train Student Trainers
10. Help student/school matching
• The Italian NSS sends TTIs and Regional School Offices the lists of eTwinning Schools and other
schools active in eTwinning so that they can favor the matching of trained Students with active
schools
• The Italian NSS together with the Regional School Offices offer training to host schools
• We drafted, together with one TTI and School Regional Office a letter aimed at Headmasters of
Hosting schools, in order to build a favorable environment and support students’ eTwinning
activities – the letter was shared and may be used by all
University
Host schools
Training
11. At regional level
Since 2018 Regional School Offices have an official
role in TTI. eTwinning workplan 2019-20:
Regional School Offices with a participating TTI dedicate 1 regional event to
TTI (target: trainers and hosting school tutors, stakeholders, decision makers)
All other Regional School Offices are encouraged to involve new TTIs
Training targets:
• teacher trainers (tutors) and other personnel at University (researchers,
assistants, contract professors, PhD…)
• school tutors (host schools)
• students of different course years
1° step: eTwinning takes care of students’ general training + hands on
workshop, while training Teacher Trainers & Tutors for future years
2° step: University takes over students’ training and we keep training tutors
and trainers + school hosts
12. • Build a vision and get motivated, invite more people from the
same TTI (support team-building helps involve new comers and
give internal visibility)
• TTIs’ representative share and get inspired by each others’
practices
• TTIs may start collaborations on projects (no language barrier)
• NSS shares models/gives support and collects feedbacks and
ideas for further developments
Yearly Coordination meeting
13. Difficulties – TTI
• It is not always easy to
involve Tutors and
Trainers
• Lack of motivation,
personnel interest &
internal dynamics
• Tutors and university
personnel turnover
• Complex procedures/
lack of money to hire
Ambassadors
• Only one contact person
interested and not the
TTI as a whole
• Sustainability in the long
term (TTI needs to take
over the student training)
• Delegating training, less
quality control
