TRON SBR is a styrene butadiene copolymer latex specifically modified to be compatible with cement-based mixes. It enhances the mechanical properties and durability of concrete by improving adhesion, flexibility, compression strength, impact strength, and reducing cracking. TRON SBR can be used as a bonding agent in construction and repair work, and improves the water resistance, workability, and bonding of both new and old concrete. It is also used to modify cement grout for crack injection applications.

DIESCRIPTION
TRON SBR bonding admixture is styrene butadiene
copolymer latex which is specifically modified to be
compatible with cement bases mixes. It enhances
mechanical properties such as adhesion, flexibility,
compression and impact strength of concrete and
improves the thin section fragility of cement when used as
coating.

DIRECTION OF USE
Surface preparation: The surface must be free from dust,
loose particles, oils, grease, mould releasing agents,
fungus, moss, and coating. Clean the surface by scrapping /
sand blasting or grinding. Surface of high suction should be
thoroughly dampened before application of bonding coat.
Bonding coat: To prepare a polymer based bonding coat
take 1 part of TRON SBR : 1 part water : 3 part fresh cement
and mix thoroughly the materials thus mixed form a thick
slurry of a consistency easily applicable by brush. The
slurry thus prepared is ready for use as a bonding material.
The surface on which the bonding coat is to be applied has
to be cleaned with a water jet approximately 24 hours prior
to application. This will help in making the substrata
slightly moist. After application of slurry on the requisite
surface place the next screed or mortar etc. Coverage
approx 4-5 sq. mt. / per litre of TRON SBR.

Polymer Cement Grout: To prepare polymer modified
cement grout for injection TRON SBR can be used
effectively modify properties of cement grout for crack
injection. The dosage of TRON SBR shall be 10-20% per bag
of cement (50 kg). TRON SBR and water and add this mix to
the cement using a mechanical mixer, slurry of uniform
consistency is formed. Depending upon the various needs
of grout the above proportion of TRON SBR could be
different. The injection is carried out as per the standard
practice.
Cleaning of Tools & Equipment: Tools and equipment can
be easily clean with water.
