• Discovered new possibilities for connecting with
friends, colleagues, peers and various professionals
through this channel
• Loved the discussion forums, especially those related
to current mental health issues, especially ACA,
ORCA and many others

• There is no such thing as privacy anymore
• Remember your dear sweet granny: if you don’t

• Originally, I did not see Facebook as a place for
professionals to post and advertise themselves
• I could see eventually using it if I had a private

11. MANAGING YOUR ONLINE IDENTITY
• This can take a lot of time each day, but you will
see the benefits to keeping up with your identity-
same as anything else you maintain
• Hootsuite is my favorite for pulling everything
together in one place; makes it much easier! I have
not used it to its full potential, but I’m still learning
the ropes 

12. WEBSITES & DOMAIN NAMES
• I was not aware of all of the intricacies involved in
setting up a website and domain name-who knew?
• I think what I have learned from this topic will help
prepare me down the road when I want to create
a professional website for my potential clients

13. HAVING AN IMPACT
• The Internet has become the medium for people
interact with one another on a daily basis
• Topics such as autism awareness, animal cruelty
and violence throughout the world have become
more prevalent thanks to people’s initiative to get
the information out there
