Course Feedback, Accomplishments, Challenges and Successes

1. I was able to learn several different application including
Twitter,Delicious,Diigo,Animoto,Pinterest,Glogster and
more.
The ease of use of most of these applications was
remarkable. I was able to start to build my professional
network while learning the various components of each
application.
I can see the benefits of all of these applications in my
position as a high school counselor.
I gained a great deal of knowledge in a short period of
time in this course.

2. • I am followed by 60 people mostly all in my professional network
• Currently, I follow 297 counselors, friends, and educators.
• Easily found information on topics of interest
• Could easily get feedback on questions or topics
• Researched topics related to education and counseling quickly and was
able to find more of the content I was searching
• Successfully categorized and bookmarked articles which was helpful to
becoming more organized
• Found a way to categorize information which his very beneficial to me
as counselor/educator accessing information quickly
• Discovered the relationship between each of these applications and
how I can use them together to be more efficient gathering
information
• Collected many pictures and videos online and found it beneficial
because I can use these in my presentations and work
• I use it as an online holding area for material related to school
counseling
• It is easy to use and I’m impressed by how many ideas I was able to get
from reading different pins.

5. I really enjoyed taking this class for several reasons.
Moodle was simple, user friendly, and self explanatory.
I found that Moodle included a help discussion forum along with an easy
profile setup. It allowed you to meet other online learners in your class and
collaborate if necessary
Each topic included in this class was neatly outlined with all course
requirements and provided links to each grading rubric
I found that each topic was covered in detail including written directions as
well as tutorial websites and instructional videos.
This was my first online class and I found it rewarding for many reasons. I
was able to access my course and information with ease on my own time
24/7.
The option to repeatedly watch tutorial and reread directions was very
helpful in my learning this new information
I was able to complete some assignments while I watched my children at the
pool during the day.
It was enjoyable and I will do it again!

6. Twitter account with many followers in the field of
school counseling, education, and psychology.
Diigo social bookmarking site sorted and organized
with several different categories
Glogster teaching a lesson on smallmouth bass
fishing and the art of catching fish.
Animoto videos of most recent camping and hiking
trip
Pinterest account with a lot of information and ideas
for educators and school counselors.
In slides, I was able to create a customized college
process presentation to be used this school year with
video, graphics, and interesting backgrounds.
