This document discusses fundamentals of elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL), including geometry of contact, dry contact models, EHL line contact models, EHL elliptical contact models, starvation effects, and thermal correction models. It provides equations and parameters for modeling minimum film thickness, film shape, pressure distribution, and other aspects of EHL contacts. Tables list equations for modeling dry contact geometry and pressure, lubrication regimes, and film thickness models for different regimes. Figures show examples of EHL film shape and pressure profiles.
