Learning foreign languages needs never stop. One shouldn’t learn a foreign
language merely to achieve an immediate professional or academic aim and then give
it up. He should carry on learning as it is a valuable experience that enriches his life.

To be interested in something is a golden rule in life. If a person is always
chained to his office, he will grow physically and mentally weak. If such a person has
a hobby, his daily work will no longer be tiring.

The government is trying to solve the transport problem by constructing new
roads and flyovers. The number of vehicles is increasing every day. Roads are
becoming too crowded for drivers to use.
تهتم الدولة بالعلماء اهتملاما كبيرا و تمنحهم الكثير من الجوائز في المناسبات القومية.
President Mubarak always states that industry, agriculture and tourism are the
main sources of our national income. Great projects are carried out to develop these
sources. In the field of industry, Egyptian products are a source of pride not only for
Egyptian but for all Arabs.

It is said that television has destroyed the art of conversation and made people
unhappy by forcing them to want things they don’t need. On the other hand, it
helps people to update their knowledge of the world affairs., as they can see
current events in different parts of the world the moment they occur.
لقد أحرزت مصر تقدما كبيرا في مختلف مجالت الصناعة و التعليم و التكنولوجتيا الحديثة .
Cutting off trees in cities is an ill deed. Trees give us shade in summer and the
green colour makes us feel at ease. Trees also purify the air and they give off oxygen
by day. That’s why we should do our best to spread the green colour all over our
country.
يجب علينا أن نشجع السياحة الداخلية لنعوض ما حدث في السياحة القادمة من الخارج .
The establishment of public libraries and school libraries contributed to
improving the learning process as a whole and helped many citizens to read freely.
Public libraries play an important role in spreading culture and awareness among
people of all ages.

Communications satellites can transmit radio and TV programmes at great
distances. Egypt’s satellite, Nile Sat 101, serves the whole of the Arab world. Egypt is
planning to launch more satellites in the future.

Some of the most important aims of education are to build up an Egyptian
citizen who is able to face the future and to create a productive society. Education
also aims at preparing a generation of scientists for the service of humanity.

Practising activities at school is of great importance. Teachers should
encourage their students to participate effectively in school activities. Such activities
help students to learn some values like co-operation, respect for others, self-confidence
and perseverance.

Over-population in Egypt has led to many other problems like illiteracy, heavy
traffic and unemployment. The government should exert more efforts to bring down
the population growth rates. It should also pay more attention to the development of
human resources.
تجذب الثار و المتاحف المصرية ملليين السياح من كل أنحاء العالم .
Cigarette smoking is linked directly with lung cancer. Today, in many countries,
as many as one third of all cancer deaths are attributed to cigarette smoking. It is also
known that smoking increases the risks of other diseases of the heart and lungs.
لقد أحدثت أجتهزة الكمبيوتر و شبكات القتمار الصناعية ثورة في المعلومات و التصلالت .
Healthy food should include vitamins and proteins. It has to be fresh and low in
fat and salt. It shouldn’t contain harmful chemical additives. If we don’t eat the right
food, we will get ill and lose our ability to do our work well.

نعيش فيه .
Only the individual himself can develop his given potentials. But, like any other
living being, he needs an atmosphere of warmth to give him a feeling of inner security

Energy is necessary for development. It is essential for all productive activities
required to achieve higher standards of living. Man’s great progress in industry and

Great achievements have been made in Egypt to move population from narrow

Egypt has always been known as the “Birthplace of Civilization” because of its
long and rich history. We are now keen on restoring our glories to keep pace with

The world’s ever increasing population means more houses, more roads, more
factories, and this means less land for animals and plants. Over-population also
means more waste and pollution, and this makes life increasingly difficult for many
creatures.

Distance learning makes use of educational experts in the various branches of

of UNESCO’s basic aims. It is the only means for the accomplishment of prosperity,
real and lasting peace among the peoples of the world.

The government sets up industrial projects to increase our local production. It
encourages the private sector to invest capital. It also demolishes the barriers that
hinder economic progress.

Undoubtedly, tourism is a chief source of national income and hard currency.
The government exerts great efforts to develop the tourist industry. The aim is to
attract a greater number of tourists to visit Egypt, the land of civilization.

Arab countries must co-operate economically to achieve prosperity for the Arab
world. They should solve their problems in the Arab League. Besides, they have to
encourage the Arab scientists to make progress in the field of science.

The last decade of the twentieth century witnessed great efforts for the sake of
children’s welfare. Many laws were passed to protect children against early
employment. We have to sacrifice our comfort and happiness for the future

Egypt has achieved great progress in the field of communications. Modern
mobile telephone networks have covered all cities and villages and even remote
areas. Computers and the internet have enabled us to get in touch with other people
all over the world.

Our deserts are part of our chief sources of wealth. If we give them due care,
we can increase our national income by increasing the cultivated land and
constructing new industrial projects. New cities could be set up in these areas and
lead to our economic development.
من الطبيعي أن تكون لمصر علقـات قـوية مع كل الدول لنها دولة رائدة غري كل المجالت .
In Egypt, the population is doubling every twenty four years. Research shows
that the size of the family is connected with the standard of women’s education. If
more girls are educated, the size of the family will certainly be smaller.

Some scientists have found that people are more likely to catch a cold when
they are unhappy or under stress. This is because the immune system is less
effective when we are worried. Doctors have also found out that people with mild
colds get better if the doctor is kind.

Many people like to collect things like stamps, for example. Some stamp
collections are very valuable. Usually the fewer the number of people who have a

لستثمار رؤوس الموال و هي تقوم أيضا بإزالة الحواجز التي تعوق التقدم القتصـادي ,

29 ) مما ل شك فيــه أن الســياحة مصــدر رئيســي للـدخل القــومي و العملـة الصــعبة و تبــذل الحكومـة
جهودا عظيمة لتطوير صناعة السياحة و الهدف من ذلك هو جذب عدد أكبر من السياح لزيــارة مصــر
أرض الحضارة .
Tourism is the second most important earner of foreign currency for Egypt, after
petroleum products.
30 ) ينبغي علي الدول العربية أن تتعاون اقتصاديا لتحقيق الرخاء للعالم العربي . و يجــب عليهــا حــل
مشكلتها في الجامعة العربية و بالضاافة لذلك يجب أن تشجع العلماء العرب لتحقيق التقدم في مجــال
العلم .
We should do something to solve the problems of traffic and pollution in cities.
31 ) شهد العقد الخير من القرن العشرين جهودا كبيرة من أجل رعاية الطفال و قــد ســنت كــثير مــن
القوانين لحماية الطفال ضاد العمالة المبكـرة و يجــب أن نضـحي براحتنـا و سـعادتنا مـن أجـل أجيـال
المستقيل .
Nowadays, people use the internet for the purposes of getting information,
communications, advertising, shopping and searching for jobs.
32 ) لقد حان الوقت لنشاء السوق العربية المشتركة و العرب لديهم روابط و مصالح مشتركة يجــب
أن تساعد في وضاــع السـوق المشـتركة موضاــع التنفيـذ . إننـا نعيــش فـي عصـر ل مكـان فيـه للـدول
الصغيرة و الضعيفة.

People should stop (give up) smoking because it wastes money, destroys health and
causes death.
33 ) لقد حققت مصر تقدما كبيرا في مجال التصالت فقد غطت شبكات التليفون المحمول الحديثة كــل
المدن و القري و حتى المناطق النائيـة كمـا أن أجهـزة الكمـبيوتر و النـترنت قـد مكنتنـا مـن التصـال
بالناس الخرين في كل أنحاء العالم.
The governmental job is no longer an aim sought by the ambitious youth who are
looking forward to a better tomorrow.
34 ) إن صحارينا هي جزء من مصادر الثروة الرئيسية و إذا أعطيناها الهتمام اللزم يمكــن أن نزيــد
من دخلنا القومي عن طريق زيادة الرض الزراعية و إقامة مشروعات صناعية جديدة و يمكن أيضا
إقامة مدن جديدة في هذه المناطق و تؤدي إلى التطور القتصادي .
It is normal for Egypt to have strong relations with all countries because it is a
pioneering country in all fields.
35 ) يتضاعف السكان في مثر مرة كل أربعة و عشرين عاما و تبين البحاث أن حجــم الســرة يرتبــط
بمستوي تعليم المرأة و إذا قمنا بتعليم المزيد من الفتيات فان من المؤكد أن حجم السرة سوف يكون
أصغر .
Computer skills are very necessary to face the severe competition in the labour
market.
36 ) وجد بعض العلماء أن الناس من المحتمل أكثر أن يصابوا بالبرد عنـدما يكونـون غيـر سـعداء أو
تحت ضاغط و هذا لن جهاز المناعة يكون أقل فعالية عندما نصاب بالقلق و قد وجد الطباء أن النــاس
المصابون بنزلت برد خفيفة يتحسنون إذا كان الطبيب عطوفا.
The progress of nations is measured by how much they are interested in the different
kinds of environmental issues.
37 ) كثير من الناس يحب جمع الشياء مثل طوابع البريد مثل، و بعض مجموعات الطوابــع هــذه ذات
قيمة كبيرة، و كلما قل عدد الشخاص الذين يملكون طابعا معينا في مجموعاتهم، كلما زادت قيمة ذلك
الطابع.
Wedding ceremonies are important occasions in every country. Wedding traditions
differ from country to country.
38 ) مصر لها تاريخ حضاري ( ثقافي) قـوي، و بعــض عظمـاء العـرب مـن الكتـاب و الموسـيقيين و
أصحاب الحرف من المصريين. و في القرن الماضاي كان طه حسين و توفيق الحكيم و نجيب محفــوظ
هم أشهر من كتبوا باللغة العربية
Science fiction is usually a serious attempt to write about how life will be like in the
future or in a another world.

39 ) التمرينات الرياضاية هي وسيلة جيدة للتخلص من التوتر و الحباط بسبب العمـل، و بالتـالي فـان
الذين يمارسون التمرينات الرياضاية يشعرون بتحسن و غالبا ل يمرضاــون، و يعــود هــذا بــالنفع علــي
الشركة ككل بصفة عامة.
I like going to the opera to enjoy fine music.
40 ) سوف نتذكر القرن العشرين بثورته العلمية، و يعتبر عصرنا عصر الذرة و الفضاء و النجازات
الطبية الثورية، لذلك نظمت المؤتمرات لتطبيق و استخدام هذه النجازات.
The efforts exerted to improve health cannot be successfully achieved unless
individuals cooperate with the government.
41 ) هناك أنواع مختلفة من الحدائق، و من الممكن تصميم الحدائق بحيث يكون كل نبات فيها بمثابــة
جزء من تصميم من صنع النسان، و من الممكــن أيضــا أن تصــمم الحــدائق بحيــث تبـدو كـل زهـرة و
كأنهــا خرجــت مــن بــذرة غرســتها الطبيعــة، و الحــدائق العامــة هــي أمــاكن لكــل النــاس للســتمتاع و
السترخاء.
My favourite hobby is reading imaginary stories and listening to music.
42 ) الرياضاة مفيدة لتنميـة الشخصـية و يتعلـم التلميـذ فـي كتبهـم المدرسـية بعــض القيـم مثـل عـدم
النانية و الشجاعة و حب الوطن و مع ذلك فان ما يتعلمه الطفل بممارسته الرياضاـة يكـون لـه أعمــق
الثر في تنمية شخصيته.

43 ) تعتبر قناة النيل للتليفزيون أول قناة دولية مصرية تبث إرسالها 24 ساعة يوميــا و تبــث برامــج
هـذه القنـاة بالنجليزيـة و الفرنسـية، و تغطـي هـذه القنـاة كـل الـدول العربيـة و الوربيـة و الوليـات
المتحدة أيضا.
Next year, the shape and content of the school book will be changed.
44 ) يعطينا السـلم فرصـة ذهبيـة لتنفيـذ المشـروعات المفيـدة، و هـو يـوفر المـال الـذي ينفــق علـي
الحروب و السلحة المدمرة، و في وقت السلم يمكن استخدام هذا المال في بنـاء المصـانع الجديـدة و
تحسين الرعاية الصحية و حل مشكلت السكان و المواصلت.
The interest in developing education is one of the most important goals that Egypt
seeks to achieve.
45 ) لقد انعقد مؤتمر لمدة ثلثة أيام في مكتبة السكندرية و حضره مائة و سبعون من رجال العمال
العرب و المفكرون، و لم يسمح بدخول الصحفيين حتى يتم تبادل الفكار بحرية.
Civilization flourishes well during peace times.
