Resistor
A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical
component that implements electrical
resistance as a circuit element. In electronic
circuits, resistors are used to reduce current
flow, adjust signal levels, to divide voltages,
bias active elements, and terminate
transmission lines, among other uses.

Inductor
An inductor, also called a coil, choke,
or reactor, is a passive two-terminal
electrical component that stores
energy in a magnetic field when
electric current flows through it. An
inductor typically consists of an
insulated wire wound into a coil around
a core.

Capacitor
A capacitor is a device that
stores electrical energy in
an electric field. It is a
passive electronic
component with two
terminals. The effect of a
capacitor is known as
capacitance.

Diode
A diode is a semiconductor device
that essentially acts as a one-way
switch for current. It allows current
to flow easily in one direction, but
severely restricts current from
flowing in the opposite direction.

A transistor is a semiconductor
device used to amplify or switch
electronic signals and electrical
power. It is composed of
semiconductor material usually with
at least three terminals for
connection to an external circuit.

Transformer
A Transformer is a static electrical
machine which transfers AC
electrical power from one circuit to
the other circuit at the constant
frequency, but the voltage level can
be altered that means voltage can
be increased or decreased
according to the requirement.

electronic switch is an
electronic component
or device that can
switch an electrical
circuit, interrupting the
current or diverting it
from one conductor to
another. Electronic
switches are
considered binary
devices because they
can be on or
completely off.

Integrated Circuits (ICs)
An integrated circuit or monolithic
integrated circuit (also referred to as an
IC, a chip, or a microchip) is a set of
electronic circuits on one small flat piece
(or "chip") of semiconductor material that
is normally silicon.

Surface Mount Devices
A surface-mount device or SMD
is an electronic device for which
the components are mounted or
placed directly onto the surface of
the PCB. Surface-mount
technology, or SMT, is the name
of the method used for producing
an SMD.
