23 of the world's most effective Positioning TerritoriesAshton Bishop
A brand's role is to own a position in their customers' minds. The way to find the 'position' that's right for you is to consider the dominant positioning territories. Step Change Marketing has compiled 23 of the world's best and most effective. Which one's right for you and your brand?
As a leader, you’ve likely faced the stress of ever-expanding goals and targets. Every year brings new opportunities to set the bar higher and higher. This leaves some leaders in a constant cycle of asking themselves:
- Why are my profits down?
- Why are we missing deadlines/quality standards?
- Why is morale down and/or turnover high?
- Why can’t I find good people?
- When will I get my life back?
However, these questions fail to address the heart of the problem. Often, the problem starts with company culture. The organization isn’t set up to learn and adapt quickly, and knowledge about new learnings isn’t easily shared company-wide.
Create an authentic and powerful brand that attracts top talent with this webinar by Steve Watt, Talent Brand Educator at LinkedIn. You'll also learn how to motivate brand ambassadors and ultimately become an InDemand company.

Samsung Has A Totally Different Strategy From Apple, And It's
Working Great
Max Nisen | Mar. 15, 2013, 7:00 PM | 15,075 | 17
Just a few years ago Samsung was struggling to catch up in the smartphone market.
Now it makes more of them than anybody else and has Apple on the
back foot, in addition to being the world's largest technology company
by revenue.
The heavily hyped launch of its flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone is the
latest step as it tries to overtake Apple, and they've gone all out with a
massive screen and impressive new features.
Here are some of the core pillars of Samsung's strategy.
The ultimate fast follower
Samsung is better than anybody else at learning from its competitors.
"A market reader is sort of the classic fast follower," explains Barry
Jaruzelski, senior partner at Booz&Co and the co-author of the Global
Innovation 1000. "It doesn't mean they ignore their customers, but
they're very attuned to what competitors are doing and what other
people are bringing to market first and observing what seems to be
gaining traction, then very rapidly coming up with their own version of that innovation."
Samsung's aggression has gotten it into trouble in the past, losing a high profile cas ...

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
