3. Assisted in establishing a formal helpdesk and helped write the first
helpdesk guide and established procedures for handling telephone
trouble calls. We also established escalation procedures.
Moved to a department of 3 that were supporting the company owned
distributors. Each location used a Series/1 computer. There were about
5 variations of hardware, each variation had its own operating system
custom written. I supported the hardware and assisted with database
problems. We did downloads and uploads of both the database and
new programming. While in this department I took a class in the SAS
language and developed a helpdesk tracking database using SAS.
