Live
After-the-Fact

Sketchnotes that are created during a LIVE
event. For example: conference, lecture, or
church sermon.
Live sketchnotes can also be created from
watching videos or listening to podcasts in
real time (not after the fact).

Sketchnotes that are created after an event. An event
being: reading a book, listening to a lecture, watching
a video, listening to a podcast, etc.
Sketchnotes are created from notes that were taken
during the event or from memory, although I would
strongly encourage note taking.

Both groups of students took notes while Dr. Karin
Perry read “Eleven” by Sandra Cisneros.
One week later, Dr. Perry administered a 10 question
quiz about “Eleven.”
