This study assessed the accuracy of computed tomography (CT) arthrography for detecting injuries to the medial meniscus in dogs with cranial cruciate ligament insufficiency (CCLI). Twenty-one stifle CT arthrograms from 20 dogs were evaluated. The CT images were reviewed by three blinded reviewers and compared to surgical findings. Initial interpretation of the CT arthrograms had 57-64% sensitivity and 71-100% specificity for detecting medial meniscal injuries. On retrospective review, sensitivity was 71% and specificity was 100%, with an accuracy of 86%. The study found that CT arthrography can accurately diagnose tears to the medial meniscus in dogs with CCLI in a minimally invasive manner.
