1. Title Sequence Ideas and Font

2. This style of font is called “Cenobite.” A cenobite is a
member of a monastic community which is based around
religion. This has a slight link with the theme of our
thriller as it is based around the use of black magic and
evil spirits etc. We are planning on using a black
background with white writing as the black represents the
dark nature of our thriller, as it involves self sacrifice and
death which are two strong connotations of the colour
black. Also, the white implies purity and innocence which
again plays a part in our thriller as the main character is
dressed in all white.
Idea of the Font We Are Using

3. This style of font is called “Dead Bitch.” The use of two
very strong terms really sets the tone for our thriller, as it
involves death and revolves around an obsessive woman.
If we were to use this font we were planning on
contrasting the two colours of black and white with a
white background and black text. This would be to show
that despite there being lots of positivity, as the
background is white, the negativity of the black text still
dents the image of peace and purity. It shows how even
the most innocent of people can have a dark side to
them.

4. Final Decision
As a group, we made the decision to use this style of font as
the main text style for our thriller. We feel that it has really
strong links with our films idea and sets the tone before the
audience has even seen the film.
Although, we decided that in the opening of our film, we
would use both fonts, using both colour backgrounds at a fast
pace, creating suspense and a feel of unease. The following
slide will show an example of this. (I will be posting a video
showing an example of what we are planning on doing with
the quick transition between both fonts.)
