Moai Creation
If we look around the island, we find evidence of a population that exhausted its resources. Most
likely, the prime culprit for the quick loss of natural resources was the frenzied pace of Moai
construction. It was an enormous effort to carve the Moai and transported to its final location.
Given the rate of consumption to meet the demand for statue construction, natural resources were
used up before there was time for renewal; however, Moai creation would not be the only reason for
the resource depletion. Other sustaining activities like farming, shelter construction, tool creation,
and boat making would utilize the same resource; however, those activities were essential to
support the growing population.
Furthermore, there are no awe inspiring monuments, memorials, or commemorations specifically
implemented to honor these men and their accomplishments. No memorial or monument exists that
generates a sense of amazement like Mount Rushmore, or as iconic as the Lincoln Memorial. The
Monument to the Conquerors of Space in Moscow Russia is the closest thing in this world to
generate the awe and inspiration desired by the key stakeholder, but does that go far enough? Not
one cosmonaut made it to the moon; therefore, that monument doesn t honor the accomplishment
of 12 astronauts.
It is hypothesized that the reason for no memorial or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Voter Turnout In Texas
The voter turnout in Texas has been low for a very long time. For the past 50 years the numbers of
citizens that participate in the national, state, and local elections have decreased. Voters turn out is
the percentage of voters that are able to vote legally, that actually cast a vote in the elections. There
are a number of things that can increase the percentage but I m sure these examples will never
happen. I believe that the voter turnoutis low because people aren t into politics because many
believe they are all corrupt. People rather not vote because they believe their vote won t make a
difference but in reality I will make an impact. There are other reasons people choose not to vote
such as not being registered, disabilities, being

Thoreau s Role In Civil Disobedience
Civil Disobedience Civil disobedience is the act of disobeying the law, but in a peaceful or
nonviolent way. There are many ways that this can have an impact on a free society, whether it s
in a positive manner or a negative manner. Civil disobedience has a different impact depending on
what, why, and which law is being resisted. It seems as though that civil disobediencehas more of a
positive impact on a free society. In some cases though, there are those few people who view those
actions as childish.
Many people view civil disobedience as an act of resisting the government; not because those who
are involved are dumb or stupid, but because they are usually trying to fight for a better
government. As Henry Thoreau states in his writing Civil Disobedience, I ask for, not at once no
government, but at once a better government. Thoreau is saying when those who resist the
government, they are not aiming to show they want no government, but a better or smarter
government. There are also those who see these actions as involuntary. They believe that civil...

Leibman, he rejects any and all civil disobedience by stating, No society whether free or
tyrannical can give its citizens the right to break the law. There can be no law to which
obedience is optional, no command to which the state attaches an if you please. He believes no
society should ever allow obedience to be optional, and that there should never be a law that
states or declares otherwise. He supports the fact that no society should ever give its citizens any
opportunity to break the law, no loopholes or ways that can support their purpose in any way
shape or form. This is true, no one should ever be allowed to break or suspend the law and rights
every person has, but when those who stand out from others and deny obeying the government, aren

Mark Stroman
After the 9/11 attack, Americans became enraged with those from the middle east, specifically
Muslims. Raisuddin Bhuiyan, who goes by Rais, was a Muslim who immigrated to The United
States, was unfortunately a victim of this hate. After being shot and nearly killed by Mark
Stroman, Rais s faith after the shooting became very strong, realizing he was given a reason to
live. Rais is a very religious man who came to the United States, from Dhaka, Bangladesh,
shortly before the attacks on the twin towers in New York. After making America his home, the
attack itself affected Rais very strongly, causing him to, throb with rage. (p. 24) Though he was
not the only one who was enraged. Many people he encountered or overheard in the food mart
where he worked were saying things such as Kill all Muslims in the Middle East. (p. 24) This
affected Rais on a personal level, given he was a Muslim. Rais believed those who committed the
act of terrorism were not Muslims, they were disqualified by their deeds. (p. 25) Mark Stroman saw
the terrorist in a whole different light. Stroman believed that those that were... Show more content

Even though he was unable to save Stroman, he did not give up, Rais continued to live out for
God and others. Rais started a campaign called World Without Hate. His goal was to help others
that were hate crime victims, and put an end to all the hate. Rais s faith is what allowed him to
work hard and succeed in life. He believed that the shooting, all the debt, and stress was all God s
way of helping Rais. Rais views it all as a learning curve (p. 287), that will lead him to God s
ultimate plan. Rais was able to show that Islam is not a religion of hate, but one of forgiveness and
peace. He did not allow all the stereotypes or bad things that were put upon him to bring him down,
instead he used his faith to push himself. For this Rais is an

Campfire Revenge Analysis
Campfire Revenge
Summary:
When a husband tossed gas on a campfire, one mother was horribly injured from the fiery inferno.
She suffered burns on 40 percent of her body and face. After checking into the hospital, her
husband abandoned her and her four year old daughter. He was unable to handle her injuries, but he
did not expect her surprising revenge.
Introduction:
Not long ago, Terry and Courtney had an amazing life. They began a holiday romance while they
were traveling together. Before long, they were in a committed relationship. When the couple found
out that they were expected a baby, they decided to get married.
Five years later, the happy family decided to go on a camping trip. They wanted to go to the same
spot where Terry had initially proposed to Courtney after finding out that they were pregnant. The
family was excited to return to the wilderness spot where their dreams and life started together.
Insert a picture of Courtney, Terry and their daughter on a camping trip looking happy together.
Main:
At that point, Courtney s life could not get any better. She was madly in love with her husband, and
they had a perfect child together. It seemed like their future was bright. The years stretching
before them seemed filled with love and hope. Their goal was to be together forever and retire to
a pair of rocking chairs on their front porch. Unfortunately, their big dreams were not going to
come true. Because of one tragic event, the couple s life would change forever.
Insert a picture of a fire breaking out in camp.
Courtney remembers the event like it happened yesterday. I can smell the fire and gas. The scent
of my skin burning filled my nostrils as I screamed in agony. All I could think of was my daughter
and Terry. I had not control over what happened, and the pain made me pass out.
Her fiery demise was caused by an unintentional event. Terry had decided to get rid of the gas
from their camp oven by tossing it on the flames. In the darkness, he did not realize how close
Courtney was to the fire. When the fire engulfed, he realized to his horror that she was covered in
flames.

Different Training Methods Are Affective
Some of the different training methods are affective in there own way, but can they be used for
continuing employees? One of the great perks of having the business simulation is that it can be
used for all employees, new and seasoned, to be able to develop further knowledge. With
simulations they do not all have to be complex, like having all the business processes of the
organization. The simulation could simply have specific skills related to them. These concepts
could include communication, feedback, leadership and team skills, problem solving, decision
making, managing resources, budgeting, and the list continues. Essentially every department can
have its own business simulation game to learn the processes necessary. This allows the company to
move individuals internally and allow for growth within the company. Say they have an individual
who has been doing accounting for the company and want to promote them to finance manger, they
can use a business simulation game to have them better understand the tasks they will be
performing as a finance manager before having them go into it blind. Another example could be that
the company has noticed there is some lack of communication going on between the manager and
his employees. The simulator could enhance the mangers understanding of how to communicate
stronger, which can improve the satisfaction of employees. Being able to take the simulation and
adjust it to the necessary processes that the company is looking to use for

Describe The Importance Of Road Safety Inspections
Road Safety Inspections
Road safety inspections are important. The material explicitly describes the importance of safety
inspections. Without road inspections, the streets and highways would be a chaos for commuters
(Ward, Otto Linkenbach, 2014). Just imagined if the overgrown shrubs and trees hid the traffic road
signs and directional signs pointing in the wrong way. This would be a recipe for disaster.
Additional lives would be at risk by this potential roadway hazards. Identifying potential roadway
hazards timely may reduce the mortality rate (Ward, Otto Linkenbach, 2014).
The Office of Traffic Safety and other similar agencies are working diligently to develop a remedial
measure to save drivers lives (DOT, 2011). To alleviate the road hazards in Minnesota, the road
safety inspector conducts routine safety inspections. The safety inspector examines the highways,
construction signs, bridges, and obstructions that may block the motorists view (DOT, 2011). The
State of Minnesota is vulnerable to various potential hazards. These hazards are associated with
man made and natural disasters that threatens the loss of life and property.
Inspector Role
An inspection is a critical element that detects and responds to potential hazards. For example, the
inspector ensures that the road signs are visible both day and night. In Minnesota, public safety
department encourages the citizens to report any potential road hazards like potholes and damaged
road signs.

Mental Film Analysis
If you were to make a movie on your life, would you act as you normally would or would you
change it up a bit?
Good morning ladies and gentlemen, my name is Tari Kao Wong and today s discussion is about
whether or not Australian films describe the reality of Australian lives. Representations of families
in Australian films and television programs are unrealistic. The films do not accurately represent
life in Australia, the settings in Australian films are rundown and the people in the films are just
insane.
In the film Mental, there is a family of seven people, there are five daughters and a mother and a
father. This family is not exactly a normal family; in this family they consider themselves as mental
people. In the movie Mental, the mother ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is a family that is very weird and crazy. People in the family are trying to make themselves
disabled to get more money because they live in the ghetto. Living in the ghetto could accurately
represent some peoples living conditions in life, but in Australia there can be some nice
neighbourhoods and nice people. The suburb that they live in is very rundown and is full of
drug addicts. The people in the neighbourhood even throw bricks at the ambulance. There are
also old ladies in the film Housos that are making a drug delivery; you wouldn t usually see old
ladies carrying around drugs or making deliveries for bikie gangs or any gangs. There is also a
lot of bad language in this film. The people in the film are swearing at the cops and are even
climbing buildings to get away from them. Normal people would cooperate with the police in a
nicer manner. In the film Housos the family got some money from one of the relatives and
bought a stripping pole and put it in the middle of the living room. Normally people would not
spend their money on putting a stripping pole in the middle of the living room, some people
would either save up or buy a house but spending it on a pole? That is a very strange way of living

Research Paper On Annie Oakley
Annie Oakley Do you know the real Annie Oakley? Annie Oakley was an amazing woman. She
inspired other women to go outside their comfort zone. She didn t stay inside the house and
watch the kids or cook like the women were supposed to do back in the 1860 s. She did more
than that. You will see later on in the reading why Annie Oakley made a difference in history.
Annie s real name is Phoebe Ann Mosey, but when she got older her name changed to Annie
Oakley. She was born in Ohio. Annie was born on August 13, 1860. She had a mother and father.
Their names were Jacob and Susan Mosey. Her Father past away when she was a child and her
mother remarried a while after her father s death. After that she went to live at an infirmary in

amazing shooting skills. When she went to go to one of her competitions she was shooting
against a man named Frank. Little did she know, she was going to marry Frank and win the

Minecraft And Lego Similarities
Have you ever wondered how Minecraft and LEGO s originated? There are many similarities
and differences between how these two toys originated. Here are some similarities. Minecraft
was a one man project. Markus Persson Is the man who created it. When you look at LEGO s two
people made it. It was a man and his son. This is a similarity because if you take FIFA 14 for
example in was made by over 9,000 people! Another similarity between the two games is both
were remarkably successful. How I know this is because more than four hundred billion legoblocks
have been made according to 400 billion LEGO bricks and still counting (As of 2014). Where as
Minecraft has had over 100 million people sign in, according to Minecraft Mania (As of 2014).
The last similarity is there are no rules no limits for either of these toys. In both you are free to
imagine and create. No rules no limits just fun and creations. Now do you see the similarities of

The stories of how they started were way different. LEGO started with a man making toys out of
wood. Then he got more elaborate as time went on, his son help with this too and he eventually
created LEGO s. On the other hand however Markus started to make a video game. He worked
on it in his apartment. After he finished it his new game became known as Minecraft. The second
difference is that Minecraft is played on a device. You can play Minecraft on any type of device
Ipad, Ipod, Iphone, Kindle, computer ext. LEGO s can be physically touched. You actually have
to physically put the LEGO s together. The last and final difference is Lego s failed the first
time they came out. In 400 billion LEGO bricks and still counting it states that the first LEGO
bricks were a flop. One the other hand however Minecraft was popular as soon as it came out. As
soon as people new it was there it was a very big hit. LEGO s took some time to become popular.

Theu.s. Constitution And The Constitution
The U.S Constitution is one of the most, if not the most, important documents ever written in
political history. The constitution established America s national government and provided the
fundamental framework for the present and future legal parameters by which the american people
would be governed by. The Constitution was officially signed September 17, 1787 in Philadelphia
during a constitutional convention. In order for the constitution to actually be an official document,
it had to have been ratified meaning that at least nine of the thirteen states present had to approve
this document. It was easy for the first seven voters to make their decisions who were pro
constitution (federalists), but nevertheless, there were people, anti federalists, who did not support
the constitution. Although they did not want the Articles of Confederationin place, neither did they
want to ratify the constitution because they opposed of having a strong central government. The
ratification of the constitution changed the face of the United Statesand set forth a model for future
documents to come. Federalists fought very hard against their opposing party. Why was it so
important to the federalist to get this constitution ratified? The constitution not only meant
something to the federalists, but without this ratification, it could have led to secession, and this
ratification was needed to make improvements to the government. What exactly did the constitution
mean for the federalists? The

Themes InThe Rememberer And Jealous Husband Return In Form...
Many stories have similar themes, The Rememberer by Aimee Bender and Jealous Husband
Returns in Form of Parrot by Robert Olen Butler are two short stories that do. In The Rememberer,
Ben is going through reverse evolution and Annie and Ben both do not know why. It is implied that
Ben remembers Annie, but not completely specified. In Jealous HusbandReturns in Form of Parrot,
the husband falls out of a tree trying to catch his wifein the act of cheating and gets reincarnated into
a parrot. He remembers her, but she does not know it is him and ends up choosing and purchasing
him from the pet store, putting him back into his own home. Both stories have ironic tendencies
and share a similar theme, but have different meanings. Throughout both stories, the characters
are facing internal conflicts. In The Rememberer, Annie is dealing with Ben going through
reverse evolution. She does not know why he is going through it or what to do about it, which
results in her battling herself in her own mind. She cannot tell anyone what is going on because
nobody would believe her, she is stuck telling people that he has a strange sickness and is forced
to keep it all inside. In Jealous Husband Returns in Form of Parrot, the husband is dealing with the
internal conflict of being purchased by his wife and brought back into his home where now he is
stuck seeing his wife with other men. The conflict comes in to play with the husband because he
does not have the vocabulary as a parrot to tell her that it is him. Throughout the two stories, the
men are both, somehow, turned into animals.
They both may have turned into animals, in one way or another, but those ways are different. In
The Rememberer, Ben first turns into an ape, but then turns into a sea turtle, just to turn into a
salamander. Whereas, in Jealous Husband Returns in Form of Parrot, the only animal he is turned
into is a parrot. Another difference between the two circumstances is, Ben is going through reverse
evolution, so he is turning into many different animals, and the husband went through reincarnation
after he fell out of the tree, so he will not change forms. Although, in The Rememberer, both Annie
and Ben know that he is still

The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver
Birds are a personal symbol for Turtle s development. Throughout the novel, birds are tied to
Turtle and major events in her life. Turtle makes her first sound when the car stops suddenly to
avoid a family of quail. I slammed on the brakes and we all pitched forward... I think that sound
was a laugh ...In the road up ahead there was a quail, the type that has one big feather spronging
out the front of its head like a forties model ladies hat. We could just make out that she was
dithering back and forth in the road, and then we gradually could see that there were a couple
dozen babies running around her every which way (Kingsolver 106 107). Turtle and Taylor have
become comfortable as a family and Turtle has recovered from her previous trauma to the point
that she makes audible noises and expresses herself. Just as the family of Taylor and Turtle has
brought joy to the lives of Lou Ann, Mattie, Esperanza and Estevan, this disruptive family of birds
bring joy and laughter to Taylor and Turtle. When Taylor takes Turtle to the doctor and learns the
extent of Turtle s abuse, she sees a birdthat has made its nest inside a cactus. I looked through the
bones to the garden on the other side. There was a cactus with bushy arms and a coat of yellow
spines as thick as fur. A bird had built her nest in it. In and out she flew among the horrible spiny
branches, never once hesitating. You just couldn t imagine how she d made a home in there

Participative style is where the leader and the subordinates shares their views and opinions in
decision making process. This can be seen in Roger Eaton where he provides group of interactive

Steve Easterbrook, CEO of Mcdonald s, adopts the selling style. Steve believes in managing the

In addition to this, he also shows directive behaviour by paying attention to his employees and

Integration of Deck Department with the Engineering department
Disagreements between Departments and duty sections at small boat stations have become more
commonplace, and seem to be on the rise. The integration of the Deck and Engineering
departments would spread out the work load, increase productivity and raise the standards of
upkeep on the unit s small boats. Spreading out the work load among a larger department would
allow the unit to accomplish the same amount of work, in less time. Allowing personnel to spend

MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS OF BANKS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Mergers and acquisitions are one of the popular topics in business today, since they characterize the
new economy: pressure of global competition, development of technology and disappearance of
country boundaries. The purpose of this project is to study how mergers and acquisitions affect the
share prices of the acquirer bank. We have taken up seven banks as a part of our case study
analysis and have made an attempt to study the share price pattern of Transferee Banks before and
after merger on a monthly basis by drawing out graphs and using correlation and regression.

lab 1 interreach variability Essay
Interreach variability and correlation analyses between biotic and abiotic factors of the Old Chelsea
stream
BIO2129 Section
Demonstrators:
October 1, 2014
Department of Biology
Hypotheses
Water quality parameters such as pH, dissolved oxygen, seston, water temperature etc. are important
variables in the abundance and diversity of benthic macroinvertebrates of the Old Chelsea stream.
Therefore, it can be hypothesized that pH and dissolved oxygen have a direct correlation on biotic
factors within the stream. Furthermore, due to the surface water velocity variations of the stream, it
is hypothesized that water pH and dissolved oxygen interreach variability is statistically significant.
Results
Note that for figures 1 and 2, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In figure 2, we observe that dissolved oxygen levels are higher in site 2 compared to site 1 and
that variations within the same site are rather small. Lastly, both figure 1 and figure 2 show
slightly higher elevations of both pH and dissolved oxygen at the 3rd location of sampling. In
figure 3, we observe a significant correlation between pH and Simpson s Diversity Index where
it can be noted that the higher the level of pH, the higher the diversity index. In figure 4, we
observe an unsupported correlation between pH and total taxa. Henceforth, total taxa does not
depend on pH levels. In figure 5, an unsupported correlation between is observed between
dissolved oxygen and Simpson s Diversity Index. In figure 6, an unsupported correlation is
observed between dissolved oxygen and total taxa. As in figure 4, it can be concluded from these
observations that total taxa does not depend on dissolved oxygen levels in the water. In figure 7, it
is observed that the percent relative abundance of taxa at site 1 does not share a particular link with
the percent relative abundance of taxa at site 2. Furthermore, different taxa are shown to be
dominant for both sites. Ephemeroptera and Odonata are the only taxa shared by both sites
according to this figure. In table 1, the most prominent statistical conclusion was failure to reject the
null hypothesis, that the variability of abiotic factors (pH and dissolved oxygen)

How Is Perseverance Shown In The Sapphires
Good morning Selection Panel of the Australian Film Board. Today I am going to convince you
that The Sapphires, directed by Wayne Blair is the perfect movie to enter the competition to
represent Australia. The movie was released in 2012 and is based on a true story of four Aboriginal
girls that tour around Vietnam in 1968 singing for the soldiers. The main parts of the movie that
stood out were; how it demonstrated the Australian value of perseverance, the difference between
each individual character and the representation of the Aboriginal culture.
Perseverance is shown throughout the film. All of the girls demonstrated it in separate times and
different ways but Julie, the main character, and lead singer specifically exhibited perseverance. ...

The Importance Of Compulsory Voting
The current day politicians are worried about the number of the voters turn out for the federal
elections. With 2008 being the lowest in the past 30 years this probably causing debates about
having compulsory voting in canada to increase voter turnout. As the results show from countries
that enforce compulsory votingthat it dramatically increase voter turnout. Is the increased voter
turnout worth the price of the loss of the right of liberty? Why should the government implement a
law to increase voter turn out that could easily be increased without mandatory voter turnout, and it
will cause an unequal representation of voters, and a loss of rights and freedoms.
If the canadian government want more people to vote they should view their own results why
people don t vote. According to stats canada the second main reason why people don t vote is
because they are too busy to vote. Why should the government force on the people the job of ...

According to Compulsory Voting Can Increase Political Inequality:Evidence From Brazil by

Institute of Technology with compulsory voting the voter turnout from lower education to higher
education made the higher education turnout rate increased more than the lower education turnout
rate making the representation unequal between the lower class then the higher education. This is
probably to the fact that the lower education people tend to have lower income job and use less of
the rights so when they don t vote they don t feel the effect that much making only the upper and
middle class feel the consequence of not voting therefore they do not feel motivated to vote. The

Haute Couture Influences Ready-to-wear
Fashion has been around ever since ancient times, since the time of the Romans, it survived the
world wars and is yet today a business with rapid changes. Fashion started off as an art form, a
way for the riches to show their social status with unique and innovative designs that only they
could afford. It was a way to separate the social classes of the society. In this paper I will include
the creator of haute couture, and how the following designers developed couture, as well as having
leading names in today s ready to wear industry. The list is long, but I chose to focus on the three
most important designers of the modern fashion industry.

It wasn t until Chanel started to create jackets which not only had the purpose of being worn
closed, she created jackets that looked good opened, closed or hanging over the shoulders. She
emphasized on this style by making blouses to serve the complete outfit. She was also the
creator of the Little Black Dress , which was a relatively simple black dress made by elegant
materials such as lace, tulle, weightless silk and even embroidery in a new, more tailored way.
Chanel is today world known for its high quality designs and has women of the 21th century
dependent on its classical style (Rennolds Milbank 120 121).
Elsa Schiaparelli was another star in the 30 s along with Chanel, but the contrast between them was
nothing more but interesting. Their designs were different, looked upon as day and night, but still
representing the extremes of couture, but they catered to the same clients.
Balenciaga, another well known high end designer once said: Coco had very little taste, but it was
good. Schiap, on the other hand, had lots of it, but it was bad .
Schiaparelli created the color shocking pink . The House of Schiaparelli struggled after World
War II as fashion had changed and Dior s New Look was in, which lead to the closing of the
couture house in 1954, but her visions still lives on in the interpretations of today s ready to wear
(Milbank 196).

Dr King Nobel Peace Prize Speech Sparknotes
Dr. King s Nobel Peace Prize Lecture was one of the most powerful reading assignments during my

King believed that violence is both impractical and immoral. King was an ordained Baptist

achieving racial justice is both impractical and immoral. I am not unmindful of the fact that
violence often brings about momentary results (King, 1964, pg. 8). Subsequently, King did not
believe in violence and preached non violence. King felt that nonviolence was the only means to
fight oppression, racism, and injustice. King preached tenets of universal love; moreover, King

Advantages Of Direct Democracy
Direct Democracy There is a lot of controversy over which government is the best, and honestly I
don t think there really is a best form of government but I believe there that some are better than
others. Direct Democracy definitely has its flaws, it is the best option open to us at this time. It
gives the people the power to get what they want. America is already a form of Democracy, it s a
Representative Democracy. So direct Democracyis not too far fetched.
Direct democracy, also known as pure democracy, is where the people vote to on or form
consensus on policy initiatives directly. The word democracy literally means rule by the people .

We want rights, freedom, and equality. But we also need some sort of structure. As people we
need a say in how we live our lives but we cannot just do as we please. We can t have the
government gaining too much power but we need to still be controlled. Harmony in all aspects
is what we are sought after, we want and need a balance. Direct democracy is a way to get
citizens involved and united. It helps keep the government transparent, you cannot make
promises to the people and then not keep them because you run the risk of the people removing
you from power. It holds everyone accountable, the officials to do what they promised and to fix
the problems within society and the people to keep their government going in the right direction.
The individual is foolish, the species is wise. (Burke). Together we are better. There are also
some pros to having a direct democracy, when the people want to see change, they appeal and they
vote. Which would truly be a government for the people, by the people , protecting our interests.
There is a checks and balances system that makes sure the power gets distributed. Democracy also
promotes equality, allows for change, doesn t put too much power in the hands

transformation and regeneration of the king will take place. The location of the Valley of the

Job Redesign And Enrichment Proposal Analysis
Job Redesign and Enrichment Proposal Analysis in HIS Department Answering the following
questions: 1. How are principles of goal setting applied? Goals need to reflect new changes,
whether small or big, fast or slow, that impact health care and how it is conducted. In the HIS
department, a shift from paper to electronic documentation has impacted greatly. According to
Locke, setting specific challenging goals improves productivity. Having clear measurements of
performance, knowing a goal is achievable, realistic and timely are also important elements to
incorporate. Goal setting also need to align with overall mission. If human resources are
considered valuable, goals for retention and turnover can be set to focus and direct strategies to
improve these areas. Burnout is high in the health care field. Setting goals to help employees
decrease stress levels, offering support and help can facilitate achieving these goals. Productivity
goals can also be set so that there are targets to reach for that challenges the staff, and provide a
sense of accomplishment when the goals are attained. Patient satisfaction goals, reflected in
emphasis for decreasing response times as a metric, can reveal how well the department is doing in
reaching this goal. Job satisfaction goals can also be utilized, implementing ways to improve how
the department is operating, empowering the staff in their performance of work that aligns with
company mission, can all contribute to goal attainment. Finding

Adaptation plays a large role in The Overcoat and The Man Who lived Underground .
Bureaucracy does not affect Akaky because he is used to constant oppression. Daniels initially is
oppressed by his surroundings until he learns to interact with them beneficially. Daniels, unlike
Akaky, mentally transcends all forms of oppression by believing that he is a God. Daniel s
transcendence from social restrictions allows him to live ignorantly in his oppressive world.
Akaky and Daniels both interact with oppressive environments; however, they only experience
subjugation from their environments when they are aware of the oppression. Ignorance of their
circumstances allows the two to avoid experiencing the oppression unless there is a change in
their status quo. At first glance, Akaky appears to be stuck in the bureaucratic system as a mere

borrowers Mr. Bush wanted to help. When he arrived in June 2005, he was shocked to find those
customers had been lured away by the fool s gold of subprime loans. The Ameriquest settlement, he

tight friendships are. This essay is going talk about two friends that would literally die for each

friendship in all of Syracuse. The tone in this story would have to be awestruck. I say it s

course was an eye opener in my understanding of quality improvement, and the processes required
to enhance safety and quality improvement. The courses that really assisted me in my definition
include, the Organizational Systems and Quality Leadership, the Leadership and Professional

QUALITY AND SAFETY: ARTIFACT SUPPORT.
My papers from the leadership learning experience task, and organizational systems and quality

QUALITY AND SAFETY: ARTIFACTS SUPPORTING DEFINITION.
My paper from leadership learning experience task, supports my definition of safety and quality by
demonstrating how I proposed project that would enhance the safety and quality of my clients who
were at risk of developing pressure ulcers. On the other hand, my paper from the organizational
systems and quality leadership task 2 support my definition of safety and quality by demonstrating
my capacity to coordinate root cause analysis, and designing projects that would enhance safety and
quality by correctly identified system failures.
QUALITY AND SAFETY: IMPORTANCE OF IHI CERTIFICATE.

Arguments Against Mandatory Civil Service
The U.S. Congress is considering a requirement of one year of civil service by either participating

we value as citizens of the United Statesof America. Moreover, I feel that this move towards

The Current Generational Issues Of The Workplace
France Nookiah MAN 3240 Research paper Millennials in the workplace Current generational
issues in the workplace Millennials have already surpassed the number of baby boomers and
have become the majority of the workforce in the U.S, and that number will keep on continuing
to increase. But instead of expecting a stronger workforce where the old and new generation
would work together to overcome the difficulties, businesses have been struggling in the hiring of
millennials. The work environment has changed radically over the years and that has led to
several differences between the generations. More than 53% of hiring managers are experiencing
difficulties in employing and retaining millennials , and that percentage keeps on increasing as
employment turnover keeps growing. The main reason why millennials have such a high turnover
rate is because of generational differences. Almost all hiring managers are baby boomers, of age
33 and up . Millennials have a new unique set of values, expectations, working style and skills that
very often clashes with the older generations. As such, they often clash with the old school way of
most companies. They want and need methods that traditional employers don t usually provide.
Despite these issues, it is very important that both generations come together and find a solution.
This is very critical for the future of the workforce of the U.S, as more and more baby boomers are
retiring, thus increasing vacancy spots that are not being

Three Possible Reasons To Why Galetown To Have Severe Storms
As we talked about with Dr. Kenge, there are 3 possible claims to why Galetown is having
severe storms. The first claim is that the lake that was built near Galetown caused it to have more
severe storms. The second claim is that warmer weather caused Galetown to have more severe
storms. The third claim is that stronger winds caused Galetown to have more severe storms. In this
case, claim 1, 2, and 3 are all responsible for the severe storms that have mysteriously occurred in
Galetown.
The first claim is that the lake that was built near Galetown caused it to have more severe storms.

2 was 81 degrees fahrenheit and storm 3 was 104 degrees fahrenheit. Storm 2 had only 5 inches of

concluded that warmer weather caused Galetown to have more severe storms.
The third and final claim is that stronger winds caused Galetown to have more severe storms. That
statement is correct because stronger winds caused the air parcels to rise even higher than it would
ve been, which in turn caused more rainfall. Wind pushed the air parcel even higher in the air, in
turn making the air parcel lose more energy. As we know, the higher the air parcel rises in the
air, the more rain will occur than before, and even more severe storms. If you look at storm 3 and
storm 4 wind strength during the severe storms, it s a humongous difference! Storm 3 had a light
wind strength, while storm 4 had a very strong wind strength. Storm 3 had 8 inches of rain and
storm 4 had 12 inches of rain. Based on storm 3 and 4, they both had the same amount of local
surface water and high temperatures before the storm, the only difference is wind strength. I
concluded that wind strength caused Galetown to have more severe storms.

Implementation Of Additive Manufacturing At The...
You pack everything that you think you need for deployment. You conduct your demand analysis
that leads you to believe that what you packed is just what you need. Every deployment you had
been on before confirms that those are the assets that will lead you to mission success. However,
this deployment is different and just about everything you brought is not required and to source it
from else where will take too long. In the near future the most viable solution will be to print it. As

Implementation of additive manufacturing at the Intermediate level (I Level) of a Marine Aviation

engineering.(King 2009) So they could produce desirable traits or eliminate undesirable traits, a
process that enables transfer of genes between different species that would not interbreed in
nature.1983 marked the first ever transgenic plant. This was a tobacco plant that was created with
antibiotic resistant properties. The first commercially grown genetically modified food crop was a
tomato plant in California. The decomposition process was modified and resulted in a slower
decomposition. This plant was known as FlavrSavr . Before ... Show more content on

Irelands current status is a GM free zone. This means that Ireland is off limits to the environmental
release of genetically modified organisms including viruses, algae, bacteria, seeds, crops, trees,
insects, molluscs, crustaceans, fish, poultry and livestock. As it stands only one variety of GM crop
(Monsanto s patented MON810 maize) is authorised for commercial release in the EU. But as of
October 2007, this is banned in Austria, France, Greece, Hungary and Poland. Other EU countries
are looking into banning it too.
The hostility towards these foods means that they wont be bought or sold in the market, but their
applications are so extensive and diverse that it is hard do ignore the many benefits that GM foods
could bring. These include beliefs that there is potential for a negative environmental impact
associated with production processes or farming practices and perceptions that there is uncertainty
associated with unplanned human or animal health effects. (Miles 2001)

Lenz, by Georg Buchner Essay example
In Buchner s Lenz , the protagonist is portrayed as a fallen man, disjointed from society and
mentally unstable. Buchner s portrays Lenz s fall into madness can be seen strongly in his narrative
style but also the use of realisation and nature. From this one can evaluate whether the narrative is
the most effective technique in illustrating Lenz s descent into madness
By examining Buchner s narrative style, one can see that it is dissimilar to other German
Romantics. Where Von Kleist seems journalistic in The Marchioness of O.. the narrative in Lenz
appears as if it has been disrupted by the protagonist. For example when the narrator states but at

Finally, one can argue that with these[...] displacements Buchner would have created the thoroughly
mad text that was highly effective because it subverted the traditional literary values for narration
and allows one a deeper portrayal of Lenz s madness.
However, the narrative style is not Buchner s only method for deconstructing the stability of
Lenz. Through a series of religious realisations, Lenz comes to question the power of God. When
delivering the sermon Lenz initially feels improved however it seemed to him that the universe
was full of wounds; this caused him deep unspeakable pain. One can infer that Lenz has realised
the suffering of those around him that questions his own reliance on religion as crutch. Moreover,
it could imply a lack of faith in God. It is after these religious realisations that Lenz has episodes of
madness.
He was alone, alone! The brook murmured, streams poured from his eyes, he hunched himself
together, his limbs quivered and he felt he must disintegrate, so endless was the voluptuous
pleasure of it. At last it dawned upon him: he felt a deep pity for himself, he wept for himself; his
head sank upon his breast and he fell asleep.
In this instance, hunched quivered and disintegrate connote unnatural movement that could infer

much discussion, management decided to use a dual standard. The labor standard of one unit every

The production vice president conducted several sessions prior to implementation in the plant,

A study concerned with the possible connections between children s behavior and reading banned
books focused on the potential influence that such books have on civic behaviors, mental health
problems, students grade point averages, and violent and non violent crime. Findings suggest that
consumption of banned books promoted civic behavior and had no effect on grade point
averages and criminal activity, but increased the internalizing and externalizing mental health
symptoms. The potential correlation between increased symptoms of mental health issues and
banned book reading existed within a small subset of the subjects and cannot be proven to be
substantial. Overall, banned books seem to have little to no negative effect on the majority of
children and foster increased civic behaviors (Ferguson). While the motivation behind banning
books seems logical and justified, in reality, books have no substantial negative effects on most
children. In all actuality, banned books foster increased positive, civic behaviors, likely because
they teach children tolerance by exposing them to diverse characters and humanizes groups
whose lifestyle choices they may be unfamiliar and innately uncomfortable with. The Perks of
Being a Wallflower exposes students to multiple incarnations of homosexual characters Patrick, a
strong and proud gay teen who is loved by friends and family regardless of his sexual preference,

Endotherm are animals that regulate internal temperature at a range dispie ambient temperature

metabolic rate. Previous research suggest that thermo neutral zone is the range which endotherm
conduct metabolic with least stress. However to understand the exact relationship between the
change in ambient temperatureon endothermic metabolic rate, metabolic system measurement
would be carried out to measure the ambient temperature and oxygen percentage. The hypothesis
was that as the mices experiences ambient temperature outside of their thermal neutral zone, then

Prior to the experiment, the eight mice were exposed to room temperature for 10 days so all the
mice can adjust to a constant temperature. One thing that s important to understand in order to
measure the metabolic rate is the mouse should not be growing, pregnant, eating, nor very active
during this process. This is because the growing, pregnant, eating and being active requires
excessive amount of metabolic activities. On experiment day, set up the metabolic measurement
setup as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1 is consist of a air pump for pumping air throughout the system
for the rat. A drying column to slow down the air movement in the system and to remove the water
molecules or moisture from the air for more accurate oxygen intake reading. Then is the flowmeter

much or too little oxygen can toxicate or kill the mouse. Therefore to maintain the 400 ppm amount
of air required for the mouse to survive in the chamber, the flow meter is required to maintain
constant observation of oxygen provided for the animal. Then after the flowmeter is followed by
where the animal will be in during the experiment, the animal chamber. Connected to the animal
chamber is the temperature probe for measuring the temperature inside the chamber. Next is the
condenser, which is required to remove the moisture from the air the mouse breath out for more
accurate oxygen intake reading. Then is the oxygen probe sensor that measures the oxygen output

Effects Of Stress In Nursing
Workplace stress is investable. Job pressures, deadlines, difficult boss, case over loads, difficult
colleagues and difficult customers can be a source of stress to many workers. The nursing
profession is also filled with elements that can lead to extreme stress and often times these stress
can lead to health hazards and risks. In this paper, the source of stressin the nursing profession will
be evaluated,
What is stress?
To understand the source of stress in the nursing profession, it is important to know the meaning
and nature of stress. According to Tummers (2010) Stress is the feeling people have when they
are under pressure. Stress can also mean the response of the body to pressure or stressors. The
body response to stress is always multi systematic which means that several bodily functions are
involved from metabolism to memory (Gibbons, 2012). Stress affects memory so people become
forgetful. Forgetfulness is a very dangerous consequence of stress in the Nursing profession. If
Nurses forget the amount of dosage to be given to a patient, the result could be fatal.
Stress is not always a bad thing. Stress can improve motivation while low stress job can
decreased motivation. When a job is low stress, employees get bored. Most employees fight
boredom by going to movies or walking in the park. When staffs such as nurses get bored, their
motivation to work is lessened hence their performance level goes down. When, the job is stressful,
workers become highly motivated

Religion Has Played An Important Role In The History Of
Religion has played an important role in the history of the United States and in creating the
colonies of the New World in many ways. Religion was definitely one of the major reasons for
the establishment of the colonies. The early colonists wanted the freedom to worship God as they
seen as proper, and they were promised this freedom of worship. Most of these colonies were
deeply rooted in their religious beliefs. Religionstrongly influenced the social and political life of
the colonial times in the New World. Generally, in the colonies, the church was normally a large
building in the center of a town, and was used not only for a place of worship, but it was also used
for town meetings and community gatherings. Many times a church... Show more content on

The Quakers and Puritans moved from their homes in Europe and England as a result of religious
unfairness. They sought to reform the Anglican religious practice, which was to purify the church
and later became known as the Puritans (Wood). They demanded for the elimination of all Roman
Catholic rituals and wanted to simplify religion to its basics (Shi, 42). The Puritans landed in
American where new colonies were created. The Puritans did not accept those that believed
differently than they did. They were forced to leave England because of their refusal to worship in
Anglican churches. The Puritans denied citizenship to the Quakers and others who believed in a
different form of worship. The Quakers had also refused to support the Church of England and were
led by William Penn. The Quakers stamped their values on the government of Pennsylvania. Other
Puritans that were not as radical in their religious views later established settlements along the
Massachusetts Bay (Wood).
The Pilgrims main reason in coming to America was that they were searching for the freedom to
worship. The Pilgrims, defined as a person who journeys to a place for religious reasons, were also
known as Separatists and were the first permanent English settlement in New England. The
Separatists were with the Pilgrims who journeyed across the Atlantic and settled the first permanent
English settlement, Plymouth Colony in New England. The

Human Trafficking And Human Smuggling
Although often mistaken to be the same, human trafficking and human smuggling are two separate
illegal acts. Human trafficking is the crime against the person, while smuggling is the criminality
against the state (Salt, 2000). The voluntary act of a person to transport trafficking victims across a
border for monetary compensation refers to human smuggling. Although commonly performed for
financial gain, sometimes individuals smuggle people to reunite them with their families. This can
include the defilement of one or several countries regulations through trickery by the use of fake
documents.
Smuggling is usually not a forced act and it often includes the consent of the individual(s) being
smuggled. A large number of people who have assistance with entering America illegally are
considered to be smuggled rather than trafficked (Human Smuggling and Trafficking Center, 2005).
However, along with the unsafe traveling conditions, it is not unusual for those being smuggled to
face physical or sexual abuse. It is also possible for a smuggling situation to turn into a trafficking
ordeal. As opposed to smuggling, human trafficking does not necessitate the transportation of
persons across the border, rather it exists nationally with victims being American citizens (Salt,
2000).

Types Of Resource Based Policies That Education Policymakers

Introduction:
There are three types of resource based policies that education policymakers typically consider:
Total Resource Policies, Input Policies, and Output Policies. The proposed policy of setting a
maximum class size of 14 in East Lansing public schools is a type of input policy. Input policies, as
the name suggests, alter a particular input into education, such as teacher quality, class size or the
quality of school facilities. It is generally believed that the input that has the largest effect on
student achievement is class size and as such this type of policy has been getting the most attention
among economists.

Class size as one of the most affection of input policy, although reducing class size costa lot, it
brings a high achievement of students. School should reduce the class size as measured by the
student teacher ratio. Oxford Review of Economic Policy, Joshua Angrist (2004) provides a clear
summary of the current connection between research evidence and policy implementation related
to class size reduction initiatives under relatively ideal circumstances (in particular, given long
enough lead time and funding adequate to reduce class size without compromising other
educational inputs), class size reductions can increase test scores. This is an important result and a
performance standard that many and perhaps most programs, however well intentioned, do not live
up to.
Potential costs and benefits
Generally, reducing class size is attractive to both parents, students and teachers. According to
Eugene M. Lewit and Linda Schuurmann Baker, one recent national poll found that 70% of
adults believe that reducing class size would result in substantial improvements in public schools
and less than 10% believed it would have no impact. Here we will discuss many of the potential
costs and benefits that reducing class size may bring to students, schools and the society. (Lewit
and Baker, pg 1) Of all the costs associated with class size

  • 2. Moai Creation If we look around the island, we find evidence of a population that exhausted its resources. Most likely, the prime culprit for the quick loss of natural resources was the frenzied pace of Moai construction. It was an enormous effort to carve the Moai and transported to its final location. Given the rate of consumption to meet the demand for statue construction, natural resources were used up before there was time for renewal; however, Moai creation would not be the only reason for the resource depletion. Other sustaining activities like farming, shelter construction, tool creation, and boat making would utilize the same resource; however, those activities were essential to support the growing population. Furthermore, there are no awe inspiring monuments, memorials, or commemorations specifically implemented to honor these men and their accomplishments. No memorial or monument exists that generates a sense of amazement like Mount Rushmore, or as iconic as the Lincoln Memorial. The Monument to the Conquerors of Space in Moscow Russia is the closest thing in this world to generate the awe and inspiration desired by the key stakeholder, but does that go far enough? Not one cosmonaut made it to the moon; therefore, that monument doesn t honor the accomplishment of 12 astronauts. It is hypothesized that the reason for no memorial or ... • 3. The Voter Turnout In Texas The voter turnout in Texas has been low for a very long time. For the past 50 years the numbers of citizens that participate in the national, state, and local elections have decreased. Voters turn out is the percentage of voters that are able to vote legally, that actually cast a vote in the elections. There are a number of things that can increase the percentage but I m sure these examples will never happen. I believe that the voter turnoutis low because people aren t into politics because many believe they are all corrupt. People rather not vote because they believe their vote won t make a difference but in reality I will make an impact. There are other reasons people choose not to vote such as not being registered, disabilities, being ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Thoreau s Role In Civil Disobedience Civil Disobedience Civil disobedience is the act of disobeying the law, but in a peaceful or nonviolent way. There are many ways that this can have an impact on a free society, whether it s in a positive manner or a negative manner. Civil disobedience has a different impact depending on what, why, and which law is being resisted. It seems as though that civil disobediencehas more of a positive impact on a free society. In some cases though, there are those few people who view those actions as childish. Many people view civil disobedience as an act of resisting the government; not because those who are involved are dumb or stupid, but because they are usually trying to fight for a better government. As Henry Thoreau states in his writing Civil Disobedience, I ask for, not at once no government, but at once a better government. Thoreau is saying when those who resist the government, they are not aiming to show they want no government, but a better or smarter government. There are also those who see these actions as involuntary. They believe that civil... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Leibman, he rejects any and all civil disobedience by stating, No society whether free or tyrannical can give its citizens the right to break the law. There can be no law to which obedience is optional, no command to which the state attaches an if you please. He believes no society should ever allow obedience to be optional, and that there should never be a law that states or declares otherwise. He supports the fact that no society should ever give its citizens any opportunity to break the law, no loopholes or ways that can support their purpose in any way shape or form. This is true, no one should ever be allowed to break or suspend the law and rights every person has, but when those who stand out from others and deny obeying the government, aren t trying to show they don t care about the law, but what they believe the government should change or make better decisions ... • 5. Mark Stroman After the 9/11 attack, Americans became enraged with those from the middle east, specifically Muslims. Raisuddin Bhuiyan, who goes by Rais, was a Muslim who immigrated to The United States, was unfortunately a victim of this hate. After being shot and nearly killed by Mark Stroman, Rais s faith after the shooting became very strong, realizing he was given a reason to live. Rais is a very religious man who came to the United States, from Dhaka, Bangladesh, shortly before the attacks on the twin towers in New York. After making America his home, the attack itself affected Rais very strongly, causing him to, throb with rage. (p. 24) Though he was not the only one who was enraged. Many people he encountered or overheard in the food mart where he worked were saying things such as Kill all Muslims in the Middle East. (p. 24) This affected Rais on a personal level, given he was a Muslim. Rais believed those who committed the act of terrorism were not Muslims, they were disqualified by their deeds. Even though he was unable to save Stroman, he did not give up, Rais continued to live out for God and others. Rais started a campaign called World Without Hate. His goal was to help others that were hate crime victims, and put an end to all the hate. Rais s faith is what allowed him to work hard and succeed in life. He believed that the shooting, all the debt, and stress was all God s way of helping Rais. Rais views it all as a learning curve (p. 287), that will lead him to God s ultimate plan. Rais was able to show that Islam is not a religion of hate, but one of forgiveness and peace. He did not allow all the stereotypes or bad things that were put upon him to bring him down, instead he used his faith to push himself. For this Rais is an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Campfire Revenge Analysis Campfire Revenge Summary: When a husband tossed gas on a campfire, one mother was horribly injured from the fiery inferno. She suffered burns on 40 percent of her body and face. After checking into the hospital, her husband abandoned her and her four year old daughter. He was unable to handle her injuries, but he did not expect her surprising revenge. Introduction: Not long ago, Terry and Courtney had an amazing life. They began a holiday romance while they were traveling together. Before long, they were in a committed relationship. When the couple found out that they were expected a baby, they decided to get married. Five years later, the happy family decided to go on a camping trip. They wanted to go to the same spot where Terry had initially proposed to Courtney after finding out that they were pregnant. The family was excited to return to the wilderness spot where their dreams and life started together. Insert a picture of Courtney, Terry and their daughter on a camping trip looking happy together. Main: At that point, Courtney s life could not get any better. She was madly in love with her husband, and they had a perfect child together. It seemed like their future was bright. The years stretching before them seemed filled with love and hope. Their goal was to be together forever and retire to a pair of rocking chairs on their front porch. Unfortunately, their big dreams were not going to come true. Because of one tragic event, the couple s life would change forever. Insert a picture of a fire breaking out in camp. Courtney remembers the event like it happened yesterday. I can smell the fire and gas. The scent of my skin burning filled my nostrils as I screamed in agony. All I could think of was my daughter and Terry. I had not control over what happened, and the pain made me pass out. Her fiery demise was caused by an unintentional event. Terry had decided to get rid of the gas from their camp oven by tossing it on the flames. In the darkness, he did not realize how close Courtney was to the fire. When the fire engulfed, he realized to his horror that she was covered in flames. Insert a picture of Courtney on life support at the hospital.

  • 8. Different Training Methods Are Affective Some of the different training methods are affective in there own way, but can they be used for continuing employees? One of the great perks of having the business simulation is that it can be used for all employees, new and seasoned, to be able to develop further knowledge. With simulations they do not all have to be complex, like having all the business processes of the organization. The simulation could simply have specific skills related to them. These concepts could include communication, feedback, leadership and team skills, problem solving, decision making, managing resources, budgeting, and the list continues. Essentially every department can have its own business simulation game to learn the processes necessary. This allows the company to move individuals internally and allow for growth within the company. Say they have an individual who has been doing accounting for the company and want to promote them to finance manger, they can use a business simulation game to have them better understand the tasks they will be performing as a finance manager before having them go into it blind. Another example could be that the company has noticed there is some lack of communication going on between the manager and his employees. The simulator could enhance the mangers understanding of how to communicate stronger, which can improve the satisfaction of employees. Being able to take the simulation and adjust it to the necessary processes that the company is looking to use for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Describe The Importance Of Road Safety Inspections Road Safety Inspections Road safety inspections are important. The material explicitly describes the importance of safety inspections. Without road inspections, the streets and highways would be a chaos for commuters (Ward, Otto Linkenbach, 2014). Just imagined if the overgrown shrubs and trees hid the traffic road signs and directional signs pointing in the wrong way. This would be a recipe for disaster. Additional lives would be at risk by this potential roadway hazards. Identifying potential roadway hazards timely may reduce the mortality rate (Ward, Otto Linkenbach, 2014). The Office of Traffic Safety and other similar agencies are working diligently to develop a remedial measure to save drivers lives (DOT, 2011). To alleviate the road hazards in Minnesota, the road safety inspector conducts routine safety inspections. The safety inspector examines the highways, construction signs, bridges, and obstructions that may block the motorists view (DOT, 2011). The State of Minnesota is vulnerable to various potential hazards. These hazards are associated with man made and natural disasters that threatens the loss of life and property. • 10. Mental Film Analysis If you were to make a movie on your life, would you act as you normally would or would you change it up a bit? Good morning ladies and gentlemen, my name is Tari Kao Wong and today s discussion is about whether or not Australian films describe the reality of Australian lives. Representations of families in Australian films and television programs are unrealistic. The films do not accurately represent life in Australia, the settings in Australian films are rundown and the people in the films are just insane. In the film Mental, there is a family of seven people, there are five daughters and a mother and a father. This family is not exactly a normal family; in this family they consider themselves as mental people. In the movie Mental, the mother ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is a family that is very weird and crazy. People in the family are trying to make themselves disabled to get more money because they live in the ghetto. Living in the ghetto could accurately represent some peoples living conditions in life, but in Australia there can be some nice neighbourhoods and nice people. The suburb that they live in is very rundown and is full of drug addicts. The people in the neighbourhood even throw bricks at the ambulance. There are also old ladies in the film Housos that are making a drug delivery; you wouldn t usually see old ladies carrying around drugs or making deliveries for bikie gangs or any gangs. There is also a lot of bad language in this film. The people in the film are swearing at the cops and are even climbing buildings to get away from them. Normal people would cooperate with the police in a nicer manner. In the film Housos the family got some money from one of the relatives and bought a stripping pole and put it in the middle of the living room. • 12. Minecraft And Lego Similarities Have you ever wondered how Minecraft and LEGO s originated? There are many similarities and differences between how these two toys originated. Here are some similarities. Minecraft was a one man project. Markus Persson Is the man who created it. When you look at LEGO s two people made it. It was a man and his son. This is a similarity because if you take FIFA 14 for example in was made by over 9,000 people! Another similarity between the two games is both were remarkably successful. How I know this is because more than four hundred billion legoblocks have been made according to 400 billion LEGO bricks and still counting (As of 2014). Where as Minecraft has had over 100 million people sign in, according to Minecraft Mania (As of 2014). The last similarity is there are no rules no limits for either of these toys. • 13. Theu.s. Constitution And The Constitution The U.S Constitution is one of the most, if not the most, important documents ever written in political history. The constitution established America s national government and provided the fundamental framework for the present and future legal parameters by which the american people would be governed by. The Constitution was officially signed September 17, 1787 in Philadelphia during a constitutional convention. In order for the constitution to actually be an official document, it had to have been ratified meaning that at least nine of the thirteen states present had to approve this document. It was easy for the first seven voters to make their decisions who were pro constitution (federalists), but nevertheless, there were people, anti federalists, who did not support the constitution. Although they did not want the Articles of Confederationin place, neither did they want to ratify the constitution because they opposed of having a strong central government. The ratification of the constitution changed the face of the United Statesand set forth a model for future documents to come. Federalists fought very hard against their opposing party. Why was it so important to the federalist to get this constitution ratified? The constitution not only meant something to the federalists, but without this ratification, it could have led to secession, and this ratification was needed to make improvements to the government. • 14. Themes InThe Rememberer And Jealous Husband Return In Form... Many stories have similar themes, The Rememberer by Aimee Bender and Jealous Husband Returns in Form of Parrot by Robert Olen Butler are two short stories that do. In The Rememberer, Ben is going through reverse evolution and Annie and Ben both do not know why. It is implied that Ben remembers Annie, but not completely specified. In Jealous HusbandReturns in Form of Parrot, the husband falls out of a tree trying to catch his wifein the act of cheating and gets reincarnated into a parrot. He remembers her, but she does not know it is him and ends up choosing and purchasing him from the pet store, putting him back into his own home. Both stories have ironic tendencies and share a similar theme, but have different meanings. Throughout both stories, the characters are facing internal conflicts. In The Rememberer, Annie is dealing with Ben going through reverse evolution. She does not know why he is going through it or what to do about it, which results in her battling herself in her own mind. She cannot tell anyone what is going on because nobody would believe her, she is stuck telling people that he has a strange sickness and is forced to keep it all inside. In Jealous Husband Returns in Form of Parrot, the husband is dealing with the internal conflict of being purchased by his wife and brought back into his home where now he is stuck seeing his wife with other men. The conflict comes in to play with the husband because he does not have the vocabulary as a parrot to tell her that it is him. Throughout the two stories, the men are both, somehow, turned into animals. They both may have turned into animals, in one way or another, but those ways are different. In The Rememberer, Ben first turns into an ape, but then turns into a sea turtle, just to turn into a salamander. Whereas, in Jealous Husband Returns in Form of Parrot, the only animal he is turned into is a parrot. Another difference between the two circumstances is, Ben is going through reverse evolution, so he is turning into many different animals, and the husband went through reincarnation after he fell out of the tree, so he will not change forms. • 15. The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver Birds are a personal symbol for Turtle s development. Throughout the novel, birds are tied to Turtle and major events in her life. Turtle makes her first sound when the car stops suddenly to avoid a family of quail. I slammed on the brakes and we all pitched forward... I think that sound was a laugh ...In the road up ahead there was a quail, the type that has one big feather spronging out the front of its head like a forties model ladies hat. We could just make out that she was dithering back and forth in the road, and then we gradually could see that there were a couple dozen babies running around her every which way (Kingsolver 106 107). Turtle and Taylor have become comfortable as a family and Turtle has recovered from her previous trauma to the point that she makes audible noises and expresses herself. Just as the family of Taylor and Turtle has brought joy to the lives of Lou Ann, Mattie, Esperanza and Estevan, this disruptive family of birds bring joy and laughter to Taylor and Turtle. When Taylor takes Turtle to the doctor and learns the extent of Turtle s abuse, she sees a birdthat has made its nest inside a cactus. I looked through the bones to the garden on the other side. There was a cactus with bushy arms and a coat of yellow spines as thick as fur. A bird had built her nest in it. In and out she flew among the horrible spiny branches, never once hesitating. You just couldn t imagine how she d made a home in there (Kingsolver 137 138). Just as the bird has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Moreover, I feel that this move towards mandated civil service aimed at all high schoolgraduates would infringe on our basic freedom of choice and our right to The American Dream , the ability to choose what we do and have the freedom to try to achieve our dreams. • 36. The Current Generational Issues Of The Workplace France Nookiah MAN 3240 Research paper Millennials in the workplace Current generational issues in the workplace Millennials have already surpassed the number of baby boomers and have become the majority of the workforce in the U.S, and that number will keep on continuing to increase. But instead of expecting a stronger workforce where the old and new generation would work together to overcome the difficulties, businesses have been struggling in the hiring of millennials. The work environment has changed radically over the years and that has led to several differences between the generations. More than 53% of hiring managers are experiencing difficulties in employing and retaining millennials , and that percentage keeps on increasing as employment turnover keeps growing. The main reason why millennials have such a high turnover rate is because of generational differences. Almost all hiring managers are baby boomers, of age 33 and up . Millennials have a new unique set of values, expectations, working style and skills that very often clashes with the older generations. As such, they often clash with the old school way of most companies. They want and need methods that traditional employers don t usually provide. Despite these issues, it is very important that both generations come together and find a solution. This is very critical for the future of the workforce of the U.S, as more and more baby boomers are retiring, thus increasing vacancy spots that are not being ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first claim is that the lake that was built near Galetown caused it to have more severe storms. The second claim is that warmer weather caused Galetown to have more severe storms. The third claim is that stronger winds caused Galetown to have more severe storms. In this case, claim 1, 2, and 3 are all responsible for the severe storms that have mysteriously occurred in Galetown. Based on temperature being one of the only variables, I concluded that warmer weather caused Galetown to have more severe storms. The third and final claim is that stronger winds caused Galetown to have more severe storms. That statement is correct because stronger winds caused the air parcels to rise even higher than it would ve been, which in turn caused more rainfall. Wind pushed the air parcel even higher in the air, in turn making the air parcel lose more energy. As we know, the higher the air parcel rises in the air, the more rain will occur than before, and even more severe storms. If you look at storm 3 and storm 4 wind strength during the severe storms, it s a humongous difference! Storm 3 had a light wind strength, while storm 4 had a very strong wind strength. Storm 3 had 8 inches of rain and storm 4 had 12 inches of rain. Based on storm 3 and 4, they both had the same amount of local surface water and high temperatures before the storm, the only difference is wind strength.
