Pros And Cons Of The False Prophets
This is not an occasional romp or moral lapse found among some ministers, Peter says that the
false prophet is bent and cannot cease from sin (II Peter 2:14). This is the description of a
reprobate. As false prophets seek to deceive the people of God, they themselves are deceived (II
Timothy 3:13). The Spirit of the living Godkeeps us all. Upon the new birth, which is the
resurrection of the human spirit, lies the DNA of God Himself. We have an element within us that
cannot sin. Our task is to allow this element to have mastery over our soul and body. Sin failures
that are committed during this process are covered by the Blood. The Holy Spiritis there to patiently
wait for us to navigate our way into the holiness of God through not only a renewed mind, but a
made up mind as well. Daily crucifying the flesh is the responsibility of every believer; but because
the relationship with the divine keeping agent (the Holy Spirit) is non existent, the false prophetis
sucked into the vortex of lust, from which there is no deliverance.
Spirit of Greed
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the
fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. (Deuteronomy
18:10)
The last spirit is a sinning spirit. They cannot cease from it and will justify it within their own
hearts. They are deluded and according Jude, doomed. While you may be trying to find someone

Process Description Of Object Oriented Programming
PROCESS DESCRIPTION OF OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING
Introduction
Object Oriented Programming is a programming paradigm emphasized on objects which consists of
data attributes and methods (Lewis; Loftus). Data attributes are comparable to nouns while
methods are comparable to verbs in English. For instance, a person represented by object, has
name, age, and gender as its data attributes. The person will be able to think, speak, and write with
the representation of methods in the object.
The main purpose of learning Object Oriented Programming is to create programs that are
maintainable and scalable. Maintainability is essential for programmers to understand the codes
in a program. Therefore, the codes have to be concise and clear. Moreover, programs need to be
easy to upgrade to accommodate changes in real world. Hence, we need to have the capability to
build a program on another program.
Object Oriented Programming enables programmers to program by modeling the real world instead
of defining the logic of how the world works. It focuses more on what makes up an object rather
than what the object does. Programmers can focus on creating small components or objects, and
group them together based on their relationships to build a larger object, which can be built upon
again in future. The process of developing the paradigm consists the following steps: Encapsulation,
Inheritance, Data Abstraction, and Polymorphism.

Heroism In Jon Gordon s The Hard Hat
Jon Gordon is a critically acclaimed author known for working with several athletic organizations
such as the Pittsburgh Pirates, Miami Heat, and Atlanta Falcons as well as many more. One of his
most recognizable titles is written about a deceased collegiate athlete at his alma mater, the Ivy
League, Cornell. The very instant Jon Gordon caught wind of George Boiardiinspirational story and
the hard hat he was utterly fascinated. George Boiardi was a men s lacrosseplayer at Cornell
Universityin the early 21st century. Tragically, George s life was cut short while playing the game
he loved. Even before George Boiardi, Cornell lacrosse was already synonymous with heroism. In
1993, bombs were detonated underneath the North Tower of the World... Show more content on

The twenty one ways are shown in different aspects of George s life. Almost all of these resonate
with me, an athlete, some more than others. My absolute favorite is number eight; show you are
committed. It is not enough to say you are all in, you must prove it. The asthma attack George
suffered during the sprints would have kept most people out. Even after the coaches told him
not to run, he ran anyway. This motivated the entire team and me to demonstrate my
commitment. (Gordon 56) Along the same lines, way number seventeen, showing you care,
also is one I would like to put into action. I have been in the past a person people come to
whenever they need help. So far this year I feel as though I am at the bottom of the totem pole
once more. In a sense I am, but that doesn t mean I shouldn t still be a shoulder to lean on. Way
to be a great teammate number twenty one is something that I had instilled in me as a young boy,
but it wasn t until high school until it was really hammered home. My coach put the captains on
locker room duty, to clean up whatever mess had been made. You didn t leave until the job was
complete. George doing the same thing while always leaving the place better than he found it really
hit home to me. All of the lessons George taught are ones I would like to implement someday and

Rock guitarists are turned into icons, legends, and heros for music lovers. They influence many
kids and adults to pick up the guitar and spend countless hours trying to replicate their favorite
player. Guitar solos can help compliment the song and make the listener keep coming back for that
30 to 60 seconds of destruction. This is what makes guitarplayers so important and essential in a
rock band and many times they become the main figure. The best players have developed their
own styles and sounds that are unique to them. This is what makes playing so extraordinary, the
artists sound different from one another. This is crucial to keep in mind while learning because a
lot of the time this diversity gets lost.

Tom Morello can play lightning fast solo s but his preference is a much more simpler approach.
He studied DJ s instead of guitar players to create a new unique sound. His solo s are based on
weird outer space sounds that don t sound like like a guitar. He achieves this by using lots of
guitar effects and pedals. The most common of his effects are the octave up and the kill switch.
On lots of his solos he will turn on an octave pedal which means an octave up will be additionally
added to whatever he is playing in that moment. These solos will consist of two or more octaves
giving him a unique sparkly sound. Tom Morello will often use a kill switch in his playing
meaning whenever the switch is engaged it cuts the sound. He has created a very unique style with
this switch, he is able to sustain a note with his left hand while cutting it in and out with his right.
This gives him a very rhythmic style which adds to his own

The Truth In Philip Malloy s Nothing But The Truth
In my book Nothing But the Truth it is very relatable, has a very good moral, and involve a lot of
fame. The book Nothing but the Truth is a very relatable because. All the teachers in the school
are very mean and unfair to Philip Malloy especially Ms. Margaret Narwin. Ms. Narwin is Philip
s homeroom and and english teacher and Philip also dislikes Ms. Narwin. In the mornings when
the announcements come on they listen to the star spangled banner. Philip always hummed the
star spangled banner in all of his other homerooms in the past years and the teachers were fine
with it. But Ms. Narwin sent Philip to the office every time he did it. He got suspended after a
while of doing it and all he said he was doing was being patriotic. The moral

Joyce Migraine Tobias Wolff
Even together, people were as solitary as cows in a field chewing their own cud, writes Wolff
(123). This is an idea that seems to be deeply ingrained in Joyce s consciousness, but does it
represent how she truly feels deep down? Joyce seems to put on this facade of a strong self
reliant woman when, in reality, she relies more on her roommate Dina than she would care to
admit. Throughout Tobias Wolff s Migraine, Joyce insists on being independent; however, Dina s
leaving seemly causes her headaches, which can only be eased by the love and comfort that
accompanies Dina s touch. Joyce s perceived independence fuels her idea that solitude will help
the pain in her head subside. She seems to be reluctant to accept help from others and almost self
pitying to the point that reader s wonder how badly she truly wants her migraine to go away.

The part of the story where Joyce s love is best seen occurs when she is told about a couple being
injured while lying in bed together and Wolff states, And the same would be true if the waterbed
had fallen on her and Dina instead of them, (124). This line of the story is particularly interesting
because it hints at the fact that Joyce imagines her and Dina in bed together, side by side. Not to
mention more subtle clues throughout the story such as when Joyce first enters and observes
her and Dina s apartment: Suitcases [were] still packed for a visit to Dina s parents, which they d
never made because Joyce got sick, (122). Could it have been her own nervousness that caused
Joyce to feel this way? If so, why would she be so nervous to meet Dina s parents unless she is in
love? For readers, it is clear that Joyce loves Dina. However, it is unclear whether or not Dina
reciprocates these

Parenting And Strict Parenting Style
Every single parent around the world has their own parenting style and techniques, but there are
two common base types of parenting anywhere in the world, strict and lenient. Strict parents tend
to be more demanding of their children, while a lenient parent will be more flexible. Which
parenting style is more appropriate for children? I believe there s no right answer to this question. A
lack of strict parentingcan lead children to be more irresponsible or indifferent about life choices
and matters regarding their education. A lenient parent can raise a joyful child, but if leniency is
too consistent it can eventually shape a misbehaved or spoiled child, or in the worst scenario, a
juvenile delinquent. Some folks will argue that either way must be picked to raise a child. I believe
otherwise, there should be a with an equilibrium of both parenting styles regardless of their
ethnicity. Any child could be successful without the deprivation of common joyful activities that
children should experience at their age.
Firstly, some parenting styles will prevent children to enjoy from common childhood activities in
order to solely focus on school and extracurricular activities. They would prohibit children to
have playdates, play computer games, watch TV, etc. These parents will prevent the goods of
childhood, they believe that being completely strict will raise a successful child in the future.
However, I believe children shouldn t be deprived for common childhood activities to satisfy
those qualities. For instance, according to Powell s article where he describes his parenting
style towards his daughter, She goes out to play with the kids in our neighborhood. And she
watches movies. In fact, one of the reasons Abby s English is so good is that she spends time
watching The Lion King and Toy Story. That s more freedom than Chua s kids were allowed,
according to her book. Powell believes that his child can be able to do well in school without the
need of depriving his child from things children do at their age such as watching movies. On the
other hand, Chua s remarked about her daughters that, Well, I can tell them, because I ve done it.
Here are some things my daughters, Sophia and Louisa, were never allowed to

I really enjoyed listening to this speech from the CMPD Police Chief. His perspective about
police shootings was different than many because he is a part of the police community and an
African American. He was honest about the thoughts that run through your mind being both
African American and Chief. I really liked that he made note that he is fearful when he sees blue
lights behind him, but now even more fearful when he puts on his uniform. I can also relate to the
Chief s personal experience. My uncle was once a state trooper and knowing that he went out
everyday in danger worried me. My grandmother hated that he chose the profession that he did, but

Effect Of Sucrose Concentration On Yeast
In conducting the experiment, four test tubes were set up; each containing 3 mL of distilled
water, and 0.3 grams of baker s yeast measured on a digital scale. The three independent variables
tested were milk, starch, and sucrose. Milk is composed of the disaccharide lactose, along with
unsaturated fats, and vitamins A and D. Starch, is a polysaccharide consisting of long chains of its
monomer glucose. Lastly, sucrose, also a disaccharide, consists of one glucose molecule, and one
fructose molecule. 0.3 grams of each were measured on a digital scale, and put into separate test
tubes, along with a control tube that contained only water and yeast. In order to fully combine the

The Stranger Symbolism
The stranger is a movie based on crime and it is about a investigator Wilson from war crimes
commission travelling to Harper, Connecticut to find a Nazi named, Franz Kindler. The movie
begin with many men including a man named Wilson discussing about whether to set free a
prisoner named Meinike. Wilson suggest other member of Allied War Commission to let
Meinike escape so that they could track down Franz Kindler, who was a high level architect of
holocaust. Wilson managed to follow Meinike to Harper, Connecticut but he got knocked
unconscious by him. Meinike managed to meet Franz Kindler who was disguising himself as
Professor Charles Rankin, a respected instructor at local college. When Meinike told Kindler
about how he was set free from prison, Kindler murdered and buried him in the woods. There are
many visual elements used in this movie. The visual elements that I analyzed while watching
this movie are color intensity and camera angles. This movie used pathos as a persuasive appeal.
The first visual elements I analyzed was color intensity. This movie was made in black and white.

Black Death And The Black Plague
The Black Death, also known as the Black Plague, was one of the most deadliest diseases of all
time. This disease came to Europe around 1347 C.E, by merchants from East Asia. The Black
Plague then spread all across Europe, and killed over 25,000,000 people. The Black Death had its
effect on many things. The peasant and noble differentiation was realized to be bogus, the belief in
religious authorities came under question, and poor people actually benefited from the Black Death.
After the epidemic declined there were a few outbreaks of the disease later on, but that also came
to an end. Nevertheless, its impact lasted for centuries.
The Middle Ages in Europe was from 500 to 1500 C.E. The Middle Ages consisted of population
growth, developing existing ideas, and creating new ones. Before the Black Death spread to
Europe in 1347 C.E, their was a massive increase in population. The population increased from
25,000,000 people to 75,000,000, between 950 and 1250 C.E. There was at least 80,000,000
people in Europe by the time the Black Death struck. There were also many economic
developments to support the people living in Europe. Commerce, manufacturing and travel became
more progressive, and many more towns were built, as well as cathedrals and mosques. But the
drastically increasing population became to much to handle for the economy of Europe, that some
people say the strike of the Black Death, causing millions of deaths, was a blessing.
The origin of the Black Death was

How Does Carol Ann Duffy Present Innocence Through Poetry
How do the writers portray innocence through poetry?
Many writes portray innoncence through poetry and some of the examples of this theme are
shown in the poems Prayer befrore birth, Hide and seek, Once Upon A Time, Little red cap,
London and Child.
The poem Prayer before birth illustrates to us the innocence of a foetus and how society affects
children growing up in the world. The title of the poem suggests and introduces to us that the
poem is about a foetus praying for guidance and support through life and hints that the poem is a
prayer . Although as the poem wasn t written by a child but in the perspective of a child, it may
also be a prayer for safe delivery of a baby from a mother or father. To introduce the idea of the
poem being a plea from a foetus is shown through the repeated statement of I am not yet born at the
start of each stanza.
The feotus is also asking for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is suggested that they being society has changed the way that people interact with one another
and how much better everyone was in the past rather than the present.
The poem Ltittle Red Cap is based on the well known fairytale Little Red Riding Hood . Carol Ann
Duff s take on the story is very different to the original fairytale. Duffy gives the female character
in the poem a lot more power than in the orginal story so she therefore sets herself free rather than
being rescued.
Instantly from the first stanza you get introduced to the theme of loosing your innoncence at
childhoods end . The poem is leading a young girl through the woods meeting a wolf who had
bought me a drink, my first and she clung till dawn to his thrashing fur which gives the reader the
idea that it is her first alcoholic drink and also her fist sexual contact. The wolf being almost the
enemy in the poem by taking away her innocence and the young girl then not being able to look
back to her

The Purchasing Power Parity ( Ppp ) And I Will Divide This...
Introduction:
A quote from Adam Smith s book shows the distinguishes between money and wealth : It would be
too ridiculous to go about seriously to prove that wealth does not consist in money, or in gold and
silver; but in what money purchases, and is valuable only for purchasing. This quote means the
money purchases seems to be more important than money itself, in other words, this view is
consistent with many economists who think the purchasing power is important. There is two type
of fundamental international financial relationships: first is the Purchasing power parity which
occurs in goods and services market, the second is the interest parity which occurs in the money
market. Both relationships state the association among interest rate, inflation rates, and change in
exchange rates.
In this paper, I will only focus on discussing the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) and I will divide
this paper into four sections. In section 1, I will come up with the definition of PPP and other
theories behind it. For section 2, I will briefly introduce the absolute PPP and relative PPP and
empirical evidence on PPP. Section 3 explains empirical test of PPP in practice and the problem of
PPP. For the last section, there are conclusion and remarks.
Section 1: Understanding Purchasing power parity
In this section, I will define the purchasing power parity and other theories behind PPP.
WHAT IS PPP?

Naturally you will want to do some research in to the potential day care providers. Talk to them,
view their web sites, ask questions, get references so you can take a view and get a feel for which
one will be most suitable for you and your dog.
You want to be comfortable that he is in the best hands when he cannot be in yours. You do not
want to send a nervous dog to somewhere which might make his anxiety issues worse so do take
your time to choose the best provider you can. A visit to the provider s premises is also advised so
you can chat to the owner, see if everything is clean and tidy, see how other dogs are behaving and
if they are happy.
It will of course cost to use a doggy day care provider so make sure you have the budget for it.
This alone will not cure any dog separation anxiety issues however used in conjunction with other
methods which you should still work on with your dog, the combination of all can have a powerful

Holistic Landscape Approach
Archaeologists examine ancient societies in a number of ways and scales. Each of these
techniques can reveal different things about the society under study. Of particular importance is
the scale of what is being examined. The three primary scales used are the microscale, mesoscale
and macroscale. Another important technique used by archaeologists is the holistic landscape
approach . Archaeologists examine many different things in order to better understand the societies
being studied. The smallest scale of what archaeologists study is the microscale, or the study of
specific artifacts. Artifacts provide a wide array of valuable information for archaeologists. One
important type of artifact is artwork. A good example of this is the Mesopotamian artwork

At this level archaeologists are examining things such as roads and networks of communities. An
example of this can be seen in Jason Ur s piece which describes the networks of paths that were
necessary to connect a city to its hinterlands which provided the food (Ur 2009). At this level
archaeologists can examine the movement of goods along trade routes, the networks between city
states and the broad strokes of widespread cultures. One method that archaeologists use at this scale
is what Jason Ur calls the holistic landscape approach . The holistic landscape approach attempts to
recognize and document the interactions between the urban centers and their hinterlands and then
to incorporate this into archaeological models (Ur 2009). This technique allows archaeologists to
fill in the map of the regions under study. This allows the archaeologists to look beyond the site in
order to understand the social and economic constructs that allowed the urban centers to survive.
This gives archaeologists a far better understanding of both the urban centers and the people who
live outside

The Punishment Should Be Legal Punishment
There are several rights that each person in the world have. These rights are not a gifts from
anybody, but they are inherent rights that people obtain as a human being, such as the right to life
and the right of liberty..etc. These fundamental rights are protected by the law and the state of the
country in order to maintain the society system. People usually express these rights without
limitation or control, unless exercise these rights encroached on others rights or breached the rules
that the government has set. As a result from such breaches and unlawful acts, sometimes persons

retribution which was executed under the supervision of the controlled groups and wrongdoers
were penalized physically. Before the end 18th century, deprivation from liberty and imprison

Comparing Poems The Bloody Sire And Into Battle
The poems The bloody Sire by Robinson Jeffers and Into Battle by Julian Grenfell both deal with
the concepts of war and violence. Both poems use nature as a literary device to help tell the
story. In Into Battle Grenfell uses owls that tell the narrator be swift and keen as they / as keen
of ear, as swift of sight (25 26). A blackbird also tells him if this be the last song you shall sing,
/ sing well, for you may not sing another (28 29). This is foreshadowing as well as personification
as the animals are warning him that he may die by giving him advice, such as the owls, or by
telling him to sing for the last time as the blackbird did because it is his last night alive. It is also
personification because birds cannot talk to humans.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Violence ends Into Battle by the person either dying or by living. This can be seen when
Grenfell wrote he is dead who will not fight , meaning if you do not fight hard during the battle
you will be killed and the violence has ended for you (7). Grenfell also put when fighting shall be
done, / great rest, and fulness after dearth showing that if you live through the battle and it is
over you can live the rest of your life (13 14). In The Bloody Sire there is always violence. Jeffers
writes It is not bad. Let them play. / Let the guns bark and the bombing plane / speak his
prodigious blasphemies (1 3). In the world of this poem playing is equal with guns and bombing
planes and that violence should be encouraged at a young age because that is what rules the world.
Jeffers also writes Stark violence is still the sire of all the world s values and every ending line in
the stanzas is some form of violence with ...sire of all the world s values ; with the exception of the
last line which is Old violence is not to old to beget new values (5, 10, 15, 17). This is saying that

The Importance Of Language As A Multiple Language
Language is a powerful weapon used for a variety of purposes. It is a way for people to
communicate effectively and voice their thoughts, ideas, opinions, view and beliefs. We live in
a world of seven thousand languages to communicate with and a great percentage speak more
than one. For this reason, there is only one language that truly defines us; our native language.
Our native language is a part of our culture, and creates the foundation of who we are as
individuals. It is a way to distinguish ourselves from the rest of the world. The opportunities
provided to those with multiple languages are far greater than those who are not. Although,
speaking multiple languages is beneficial, individuals with multiple languages still face
criticism, judgement and rejection from their own people. Therefore, importance of proper word

Growing up, I was fortunate enough to learn and speak two different languages; English and

judgement from my own family, primarily from my extended family, on how I spoke the

incorrect. I remember asking myself, If my Spanish is incorrect, then what is the correct way to
speak it? . As a little kid, I never really understood the purpose for their comment, but as I grew

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Robotics
Last hundred years robotic technology has developed in many areas such as industry, military,
medicine, domestic and science. According to Koren (1985, 2) in Czech word robot means forced
labor , therefore the main purpose of creating robots is making work easier, so in the modern world
labor robots are the most popular one. At the end of 2013 quantity of industrial robots in the world

Academic Subject And Time Of Day
Academic Subject and Time of day
I observed Michael in his liberal arts class which is in his last period of the day. I figured this would
be a good time to observe since it is one of his favorite classes.
Seating Placement for Instruction
The classroom arrangement is the typical rows and columns. There was a total of 22 students in
Michael s liberal arts class. Michael does have preferential seating and sits in the front row in the
middle column. The teacher chose to place him there because Michael needs consistent prompting.
Instructional Strategies, Accommodations, and Modifications
Michael s teacher uses different types of instructional strategies to keep Michael on task. The
teacher will break large assignments into smaller sections and give different due dates for each. For
their mid term, the students had a project on graphing. The teacher broke the assignment up into
three separate sections for Michael with three separate due dates.
According to Michael s individual education plan (IEP), his accommodations includes specialized
instruction in all of his academic courses once a week for 50 minutes, counseling services once a
week for 30 minutes with the school psychologist. He does have preferential seating in all classes
as well as flexible scheduling and timing with in class assignments as well as homework and

Analysis of Letter from Birmingham by Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr., is one of the most recognized, if not the greatest civil rights activist in this
century. He has written papers and given speeches on the civil rights movement, but one piece
stands out as one of his best writings. Letter from Birmingham was an intriguing letter written by
King in jail in the city of Birmingham, Alabama. He was responding to a letter written by eight
Alabama Clergyman that was published in a Birmingham Alabama newspaper in 1963 regarding
the demonstrations that were occurring to stop segregation. The intended audience for this letter
was of course the eight clergymen, but he also had a wider audience in mind because instead of ...

In the course of the letter, King uses philosophical, religious and historical examples to get his
points across. In the third paragraph he compares his participation in Birmingham to that of the
prophets of the eighth century and the Apostle Paul who also traveled to a foreign place to
communicate their messages. Since King is also a man of the cloth (reverend) he is able to use
these biblical characters in his letter to illustrate his knowledge of the bible and by justifying his
actions on their terms he is also able to show his intelligent. In the next few paragraphs he talks
about the demonstrations and the four steps in a nonviolent campaign which consist of collection
of the facts to determine whether injustices exist, negotiation, self purification and direct action. He
goes on to give the facts of the injustices occurring in Birmingham such as their record of brutality,
Negro s unjust treatments in the courts and the unsolved bombings of Negro homes and churches.
He tells them that the Negro leaders had indeed tried to negotiate in good faith but the white leaders

The Duchess Of Malfi, By William Shakespeare
In Webster s The Duchess of Malfi, the forces of good and evil seem to be constantly at war. From
the beginning of Act I to the end of Act V, the audience witnesses these two elements struggle
against one another through each character s actions or intentions as well as through various points
of imagery. Despite the fact that the Duchess is murdered at the end of Act IV, Act V reveals that
even in times of immense tragedy and evildoing, good ultimately conquers all. Evil is easily
sighted in the beginning of the play when first meeting the characters of Ferdinand and the
Cardinal. Bosola, in Webster s play, offers an initial description of the brothers with a vivid
simile: He and his brother are like plum trees that grow crooked over standing pools; they are rich
and o erladen with fruit, but none but crows, pies, and caterpillars feed on them. (1.1.46 48). This
figure of speech reveals several traits the two brothers undoubtedly possess. First, Bosola discloses
the men have great wealth and status in society they have much to give. Yet, by using the word
crooked, he immediately exposes that the two perpetuate some degree of evil either through their
intentions or their actions. The latter part of the quote indicates their evil nature, which is why only
dark symbols of nature seem to feed on them. Though Bosola s remark hints at the darkness within
Ferdinand and the Cardinal, it seems to become a severe understatement after finding out the
incredible evil they are

Meredith Monk Minimalism
David Carrillo TA: Joshua Bauder
Meredith Monk, Early Morning Melody
Early Morning Melody by Meredith Monk is a song with many minimalistic aspects. Repetition
and isolation of the human voice are two examples of it. (26 words)
The short song Early Morning Melody by Meredith Monk has a beautiful melody that repeats four
times with the third time having one different note. The repetition of this melody ironically does
not feel redundant, as the listener is likely to have mental pictures on how they interpret the
song. For example, thinking of how someone would really sing this for an early morning activity,
like taking a shower or cooking. Another image that may come to the listener s mind could be a
much sadder scene: perhaps a song for a funeral, or how the use of repetition could simbolize a lack
of direction. (105 words) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While some believe the correct use of minimalism has some of the most profound and powerful
ways of communicating a message or a mental image, others find it too abstract, simplistic or
even boring. The short piece Early Morning Melody by the American composer, Meredith
Monk, utilizes minimalistic tools to evoke many emotions and reactions from the listeners. The
use of a solo voice and repetition of a simple, yet touching melody are two examples of how the
minimalism is displayed. The melody is repeated a total of four times and only the third has a
small difference, so minuscule that it is literally just one note that is different. It should also be
noted that the unique note could even be in the same harmonic progression of the passage. This is
clearly done on purpose and, as explained earlier, leads to as many interpretations as the amount of

Overview:
Child marriage is the marriage, usually forced but may not be, between one party of under 18 and

Michigan University Of Michigan Football Team
The title says it all. The University of Michigan Football Team has been transformed into a
monster from the start of the Harbaugh Era. Before Jim Harbaugh took over as head coach
Michigan suffered a devastating 5 7 season and missed a bowl game under Brady Hoke. The team
is now on the up rise. Even though the statement may offend some, it is true. There are those critics
that firmly disagree because of the big plays the defense sometimes allows, an inexperienced

like Jedd Fisch, Tyrone Wheatley, Jay Harbaugh, Michael Zordich, Brian Smith and new coach
Don Brown to name a few. Brown coached the number one defense in the nation last year at
Boston College. He along with the other remarkable coaches has put together a defense that is
unmatched anywhere in the nation. The Michigan defense so far this year has been nothing short
of superb. In their first six games, the defense only allowed two rushing touchdowns and less than
one hundred total rushing yards a game. (Brouwer 1). Outstanding. As sports reviewer Chris
Peterson proclaims in his review for gbmwolevrine.com, [...] when you dive deep into the numbers,
[it is] hard not to call Michigan football s defense the best in the country (3). With their great plays
on defense frustrating opposing offenses game after game, Michigan has definitely rebuilt their
defense. The defense is one of the main reasons why the team is national championship worthy.
Another area that the team is working on is developing their fresh quarterback. Junior Wilton

Analysis Of The Play Waiting For Godot
The play Waiting for Godot performed at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts
provides an impressive adaptation of Samuel Beckett s original work. First off, the Irish theatrical
troupe, Gare St Lazare, is one of the foremost specialist on Beckett s work, which includes modern
interpretations of his work in Waiting for Godot. This production combines a strong does of
slapstick comedy, which is typically found in the way Vladimir (Nathan Lane) and Estragon
(Bill Irwin) are often seen physically interacting with each other when taking off boots, running
about the circular stage, and other back slapping styles of Laurel and Hardy methods of
interaction. In comparison, Beckett s play tends to reveal the absurdity of poverty of the two
men, which is depicted in a more serious depiction of their wretched lives. For instance, in one
scene Beckett s Vladimir is more prone to somber bouts of violence in the original play: Enter
Vladimir, somber. He shoulders Lucky out of his way, kicks over the stool, comes and goes
agitatedly (36). In the Gare St Lazare production, the slapstick style of comedy is far less violent
in terms of projecting a more comedic view of poverty in the dire circumstances portrayed by
Lane s portrayal of Vladimir. However, there are some elements of the absurd, which are dictated
by the presentation of Beckett s play in a smaller venue, such as the Skirball Theater at New York
University. The Irishness of the play is typically found in the

The Administrative Principles of Management
The administrative principles of management, created in the early 20th century by French
industrialist Henri Fayol, changed the way that many view management. Fayol s principles focused
mainly on the management teams of businesses and helped establish a top to bottom hierarchal
system to produce a more structured organization (Brunsson, 2008; Yoo, Lemak, Choi, 2008; Fells,
2000). This essay will focus on four of the 14 key principles of administrative theory unity of
command, subordination of individual interest for the interest of the organization, esprit de corp.

Although it has been adapted from Fayol s original idea, subordination of individual interest of
general interest, it is still present in Pumpkin Patch Ltd.
In a company that is downsizing, and even when it is not, Esprit de Corp is a principle that plays
a major factor in contemporary organizations today. Esprit de Corp is when a business creates, and
maintains, employee harmony, unity and morale (Fells, 2000; Rodrigues, 2001). This allows for a
happy working environment, and a happy employee means that they are more likely to achieve
productivity and efficiency outcomes. Pumpkin Patch Ltd. has adapted this to fit their family

in a balance between work, leisure and flexibility as well as providing an in house kindergarten for

of how contemporary businesses have adapted one of the founding principles of management and
adapted it to fit their organization. As well as this Pumpkin Patch have organized their business into

The Challenging Switch from DVD or Blu-ray
Not too terribly long ago, home video format converted from VHS tapes to DVDs and many
consumers found the change difficult to acclimate to. It seems as if as soon as we were familiar
with DVDs a new home video technology was introduced. With the recent addition of Blu ray
disks to the mix, many consumers are finding themselves confused and inexperienced with the
different video technologies. Though DVDs and Blu rays have many similarities they both also
have their individual pros and cons. A Blu ray disk is the exact same size as a DVD. When holding
the two side by side it would be impossible to differentiate between them. Although relatively new
Blu ray is currently supported by about 200 of the world s leading consumer electronics
including Apple, Dell, Hitachi, HP, JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung,

space. According to the Blu ray Disk Association, a Blu ray is an optical disk which uses a blue
violet laser as opposed to the typical red laser. This technology has a shorter wavelength than a
red laser, which makes it possible to focus the laser spot with even greater precision. This allows
data to be packed more tightly and stored in less space, so it s possible to fit more data on the disc

How the French Presidential Elections will Affect the Entire World

After the Brexit results in the UK and Trump s election in the US, France is next to face the

Callanan thinks Macron will align with Fillon on the centre right, making Le pen garner less votes,
suggesting the first round s outcome is an indication of what the ending bias will likely be.
Will a new president be the end of old politics in France? Just over a month after the new
president will be elected, she/he will start building their coalition in the Assembly Nationale. It
will be a real challenge for both, says Callanan as a new party has never gained a majority. He
paused. But Macron has a better chance than Le Pen.
One important issue that the new president will need to address is on the national security, as
terrorist attacks are at their peek right now in France. While Le Pen is focused on immigration,
Macron is focused on adding 50,000 police and specialised training. When asked who will appeal
more to the public, Callanan said people become more accustomed to these events and the shock
effect is mitigated. Think of what it is like living in Beirut...
Will Le Pen s claim of deporting all foreigners suspected of a connection to radical Islamism make
France safer? Definitely not, replied Mr. Callanan, on the contrary, the anti immigration and anti
Islam stance can be taken too far and be counter productive.

Stereotypes and Stereotyping
A Stereotypical Female in I m Your Horse in the Night
Luisa Valenzuela s short story titled I m Your Horse in the Night is a thought provoking piece of
literature. The story is written in such a way that the reader must interpret what is meant by what is
being said. Although it is easy to go into depth when describing the elements of this piece, the
storyline is rather simple. The story contains an assortment of characters; with those characters
being Chiquita, Beto, Andres, and several policemen.
The time and location are unknown. The telephone tells us that the time period is of somewhat
modern times, and the Spanish ethnicity would most likely relate to the setting being that of a

The man in which Chiquita calls Beto would also be considered a major character. Even though the
man is never actually present in the story physically, we hear about him extensively through the
thoughts and words of Chiquita. The minor character roles would fall upon Andres, and the police
officers. Andres might not even qualify as being a valid character, considering that Chiquita was
not even sure whether it was him or not on the telephone that morning. The police men are a
somewhat important factor to this story, but they are not described as round characters and
therefore show no verisimilitude.
The title of the story, I m Your Horsein the Night, is relating to a line on the record which Beto
brought with him in Chiquita s dream. She tells Beto that she will be his horse in the night,
meaning that she will always be there for him.
While reading this story, it helps to apply the elements of new criticism.
One opposition that was quite distinct, was the fact that Chiquita is in love with this man who is
never there for her. She fantasizes about him, making it seem as though he would be an ideal

Health Care Marketing Reflection Essay
Health Care Marketing Reflection Essay
Markets change, tastes change, so the companies and the individuals who choose to compete in
those markets must change. ( Wang, n.d. as cited by Morrison, p. 113). In modern medicine, disease
treatment is more importance than disease prevention, as doctors focus more on treatment of
symptoms of rather than determining its root cause. This is mirrored in the media by the large
numbers of direct consumer advertisements aimed at persuading patients themself to ask their
doctors about various drug. Direct consumer marketing in the health care industry is allowed in the
USA. The health care industry includes numerous subdivisions devoted to make available health
care services and products. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is true that the patients are more willing to discuss their symptoms as they saw those symptoms
referred in the advertisements, but this does not improve the patient communication, as most of the
patients are only interested in asking for a prescription as advertised with barely any information of
the relevant medical facts. The doctors when asked for a specific prescription may give it to the
patient, rather than talk more about the condition leading to over medicated and unhealthy society.
Not enough lashes? Ask your doctor about LATISSE the first and only FDA approved treatment
that grows lashes longer, fuller and darker. (Allergan, Inc. 2010). The commercial featuring Brooke
Shields, a celebrity urging customers to use Latisse to grow fuller lashes. Sometimes the consumer
does not even look at the side effect; if it s good for the celebrity it is good for them. Advertisements
like these use strategies that generate false impressions, manipulate, and lead on consumers instead
of enlightening them about the drug.
Most advertisements are impractical in representing medicines part in attaining health, downplaying
drug risks, presenting visual elements to distract consumers like an antihistamine commercial
showing a moving buzzing bee as the risk information is read. Various advertisements show people
reclaim full control of their lives after consuming the drug. The advertisements do

  • 2. Pros And Cons Of The False Prophets This is not an occasional romp or moral lapse found among some ministers, Peter says that the false prophet is bent and cannot cease from sin (II Peter 2:14). This is the description of a reprobate. As false prophets seek to deceive the people of God, they themselves are deceived (II Timothy 3:13). The Spirit of the living Godkeeps us all. Upon the new birth, which is the resurrection of the human spirit, lies the DNA of God Himself. We have an element within us that cannot sin. Our task is to allow this element to have mastery over our soul and body. Sin failures that are committed during this process are covered by the Blood. The Holy Spiritis there to patiently wait for us to navigate our way into the holiness of God through not only a renewed mind, but a made up mind as well. Daily crucifying the flesh is the responsibility of every believer; but because the relationship with the divine keeping agent (the Holy Spirit) is non existent, the false prophetis sucked into the vortex of lust, from which there is no deliverance. Spirit of Greed There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. (Deuteronomy 18:10) The last spirit is a sinning spirit. They cannot cease from it and will justify it within their own hearts. They are deluded and according Jude, doomed. • 3. Process Description Of Object Oriented Programming PROCESS DESCRIPTION OF OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING Introduction Object Oriented Programming is a programming paradigm emphasized on objects which consists of data attributes and methods (Lewis; Loftus). Data attributes are comparable to nouns while methods are comparable to verbs in English. For instance, a person represented by object, has name, age, and gender as its data attributes. The person will be able to think, speak, and write with the representation of methods in the object. The main purpose of learning Object Oriented Programming is to create programs that are maintainable and scalable. Maintainability is essential for programmers to understand the codes in a program. Therefore, the codes have to be concise and clear. Moreover, programs need to be easy to upgrade to accommodate changes in real world. Hence, we need to have the capability to build a program on another program. Object Oriented Programming enables programmers to program by modeling the real world instead of defining the logic of how the world works. It focuses more on what makes up an object rather than what the object does. Programmers can focus on creating small components or objects, and group them together based on their relationships to build a larger object, which can be built upon again in future. The process of developing the paradigm consists the following steps: Encapsulation, Inheritance, Data Abstraction, and Polymorphism. Discussion Encapsulation Encapsulation is an ... The asthma attack George suffered during the sprints would have kept most people out. Even after the coaches told him not to run, he ran anyway. This motivated the entire team and me to demonstrate my commitment. (Gordon 56) Along the same lines, way number seventeen, showing you care, also is one I would like to put into action. I have been in the past a person people come to whenever they need help. So far this year I feel as though I am at the bottom of the totem pole once more. Way to be a great teammate number twenty one is something that I had instilled in me as a young boy, but it wasn t until high school until it was really hammered home. My coach put the captains on locker room duty, to clean up whatever mess had been made. You didn t leave until the job was complete. • 5. Eddie Van Halen Rock guitarists are turned into icons, legends, and heros for music lovers. They influence many kids and adults to pick up the guitar and spend countless hours trying to replicate their favorite player. Guitar solos can help compliment the song and make the listener keep coming back for that 30 to 60 seconds of destruction. This is what makes guitarplayers so important and essential in a rock band and many times they become the main figure. The best players have developed their own styles and sounds that are unique to them. This is what makes playing so extraordinary, the artists sound different from one another. This is crucial to keep in mind while learning because a lot of the time this diversity gets lost. Many players will learn only ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Tom Morello can play lightning fast solo s but his preference is a much more simpler approach. He studied DJ s instead of guitar players to create a new unique sound. His solo s are based on weird outer space sounds that don t sound like like a guitar. He achieves this by using lots of guitar effects and pedals. The most common of his effects are the octave up and the kill switch. On lots of his solos he will turn on an octave pedal which means an octave up will be additionally added to whatever he is playing in that moment. These solos will consist of two or more octaves giving him a unique sparkly sound. Tom Morello will often use a kill switch in his playing meaning whenever the switch is engaged it cuts the sound. He has created a very unique style with this switch, he is able to sustain a note with his left hand while cutting it in and out with his right. This gives him a very rhythmic style which adds to his own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Joyce Migraine Tobias Wolff Even together, people were as solitary as cows in a field chewing their own cud, writes Wolff (123). This is an idea that seems to be deeply ingrained in Joyce s consciousness, but does it represent how she truly feels deep down? Joyce seems to put on this facade of a strong self reliant woman when, in reality, she relies more on her roommate Dina than she would care to admit. Throughout Tobias Wolff s Migraine, Joyce insists on being independent; however, Dina s leaving seemly causes her headaches, which can only be eased by the love and comfort that accompanies Dina s touch. Joyce s perceived independence fuels her idea that solitude will help the pain in her head subside. She seems to be reluctant to accept help from others and almost self pitying to the point that reader s wonder how badly she truly wants her migraine to go away. Whatever people gave you from their overflowing hearts they remembered, and expected you to remember,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The part of the story where Joyce s love is best seen occurs when she is told about a couple being injured while lying in bed together and Wolff states, And the same would be true if the waterbed had fallen on her and Dina instead of them, (124). This line of the story is particularly interesting because it hints at the fact that Joyce imagines her and Dina in bed together, side by side. Not to mention more subtle clues throughout the story such as when Joyce first enters and observes her and Dina s apartment: Suitcases [were] still packed for a visit to Dina s parents, which they d never made because Joyce got sick, (122). Could it have been her own nervousness that caused Joyce to feel this way? If so, why would she be so nervous to meet Dina s parents unless she is in love? • 8. Parenting And Strict Parenting Style Every single parent around the world has their own parenting style and techniques, but there are two common base types of parenting anywhere in the world, strict and lenient. Strict parents tend to be more demanding of their children, while a lenient parent will be more flexible. Which parenting style is more appropriate for children? I believe there s no right answer to this question. A lack of strict parentingcan lead children to be more irresponsible or indifferent about life choices and matters regarding their education. A lenient parent can raise a joyful child, but if leniency is too consistent it can eventually shape a misbehaved or spoiled child, or in the worst scenario, a juvenile delinquent. Some folks will argue that either way must be picked to raise a child. I believe otherwise, there should be a with an equilibrium of both parenting styles regardless of their ethnicity. Any child could be successful without the deprivation of common joyful activities that children should experience at their age. Firstly, some parenting styles will prevent children to enjoy from common childhood activities in order to solely focus on school and extracurricular activities. They would prohibit children to have playdates, play computer games, watch TV, etc. These parents will prevent the goods of childhood, they believe that being completely strict will raise a successful child in the future. However, I believe children shouldn t be deprived for common childhood activities to satisfy those qualities. For instance, according to Powell s article where he describes his parenting style towards his daughter, She goes out to play with the kids in our neighborhood. And she watches movies. In fact, one of the reasons Abby s English is so good is that she spends time watching The Lion King and Toy Story. That s more freedom than Chua s kids were allowed, according to her book. Powell believes that his child can be able to do well in school without the need of depriving his child from things children do at their age such as watching movies. On the other hand, Chua s remarked about her daughters that, Well, I can tell them, because I ve done it. Here are some things my daughters, Sophia and Louisa, were never allowed to ... I really liked that he made note that he is fearful when he sees blue lights behind him, but now even more fearful when he puts on his uniform. I can also relate to the Chief s personal experience. • 13. Black Death And The Black Plague The Black Death, also known as the Black Plague, was one of the most deadliest diseases of all time. This disease came to Europe around 1347 C.E, by merchants from East Asia. The Black Plague then spread all across Europe, and killed over 25,000,000 people. The Black Death had its effect on many things. The peasant and noble differentiation was realized to be bogus, the belief in religious authorities came under question, and poor people actually benefited from the Black Death. After the epidemic declined there were a few outbreaks of the disease later on, but that also came to an end. Nevertheless, its impact lasted for centuries. The Middle Ages in Europe was from 500 to 1500 C.E. The Middle Ages consisted of population growth, developing existing ideas, and creating new ones. Before the Black Death spread to Europe in 1347 C.E, their was a massive increase in population. The population increased from 25,000,000 people to 75,000,000, between 950 and 1250 C.E. There was at least 80,000,000 people in Europe by the time the Black Death struck. There were also many economic developments to support the people living in Europe. Commerce, manufacturing and travel became more progressive, and many more towns were built, as well as cathedrals and mosques. But the drastically increasing population became to much to handle for the economy of Europe, that some people say the strike of the Black Death, causing millions of deaths, was a blessing. Introduction: A quote from Adam Smith s book shows the distinguishes between money and wealth : It would be too ridiculous to go about seriously to prove that wealth does not consist in money, or in gold and silver; but in what money purchases, and is valuable only for purchasing. This quote means the money purchases seems to be more important than money itself, in other words, this view is consistent with many economists who think the purchasing power is important. There is two type of fundamental international financial relationships: first is the Purchasing power parity which occurs in goods and services market, the second is the interest parity which occurs in the money market. Both relationships state the association among interest rate, inflation rates, and change in exchange rates. In this paper, I will only focus on discussing the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) and I will divide this paper into four sections. In section 1, I will come up with the definition of PPP and other theories behind it. For section 2, I will briefly introduce the absolute PPP and relative PPP and empirical evidence on PPP. Section 3 explains empirical test of PPP in practice and the problem of PPP. For the last section, there are conclusion and remarks. Despite the fact that the Duchess is murdered at the end of Act IV, Act V reveals that even in times of immense tragedy and evildoing, good ultimately conquers all. Evil is easily sighted in the beginning of the play when first meeting the characters of Ferdinand and the Cardinal. Bosola, in Webster s play, offers an initial description of the brothers with a vivid simile: He and his brother are like plum trees that grow crooked over standing pools; they are rich and o erladen with fruit, but none but crows, pies, and caterpillars feed on them. (1.1.46 48). This figure of speech reveals several traits the two brothers undoubtedly possess. First, Bosola discloses the men have great wealth and status in society they have much to give. Yet, by using the word crooked, he immediately exposes that the two perpetuate some degree of evil either through their intentions or their actions. The latter part of the quote indicates their evil nature, which is why only dark symbols of nature seem to feed on them. The repetition of this melody ironically does not feel redundant, as the listener is likely to have mental pictures on how they interpret the song. For example, thinking of how someone would really sing this for an early morning activity, like taking a shower or cooking. Analysis Of The Play Waiting For Godot The play Waiting for Godot performed at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts provides an impressive adaptation of Samuel Beckett s original work. First off, the Irish theatrical troupe, Gare St Lazare, is one of the foremost specialist on Beckett s work, which includes modern interpretations of his work in Waiting for Godot. This production combines a strong does of slapstick comedy, which is typically found in the way Vladimir (Nathan Lane) and Estragon (Bill Irwin) are often seen physically interacting with each other when taking off boots, running about the circular stage, and other back slapping styles of Laurel and Hardy methods of interaction. In comparison, Beckett s play tends to reveal the absurdity of poverty of the two men, which is depicted in a more serious depiction of their wretched lives. For instance, in one scene Beckett s Vladimir is more prone to somber bouts of violence in the original play: Enter Vladimir, somber. He shoulders Lucky out of his way, kicks over the stool, comes and goes agitatedly (36). In the Gare St Lazare production, the slapstick style of comedy is far less violent in terms of projecting a more comedic view of poverty in the dire circumstances portrayed by Lane s portrayal of Vladimir. The Administrative Principles of Management The administrative principles of management, created in the early 20th century by French industrialist Henri Fayol, changed the way that many view management. Fayol s principles focused mainly on the management teams of businesses and helped establish a top to bottom hierarchal system to produce a more structured organization (Brunsson, 2008; Yoo, Lemak, Choi, 2008; Fells, 2000). This essay will focus on four of the 14 key principles of administrative theory unity of command, subordination of individual interest for the interest of the organization, esprit de corp. and remuneration and analyze how they have been applied in a leading New Zealand company, Pumpkin Patch Limited (Ltd.) (Samson Daft, 2009, p.64; Wren, Bedian, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although it has been adapted from Fayol s original idea, subordination of individual interest of general interest, it is still present in Pumpkin Patch Ltd. In a company that is downsizing, and even when it is not, Esprit de Corp is a principle that plays a major factor in contemporary organizations today. Esprit de Corp is when a business creates, and maintains, employee harmony, unity and morale (Fells, 2000; Rodrigues, 2001). This allows for a happy working environment, and a happy employee means that they are more likely to achieve productivity and efficiency outcomes. Pumpkin Patch Ltd. has adapted this to fit their family environment that they feel the company has (Pumpkin Patch Limited, n.d.). The company believes in a balance between work, leisure and flexibility as well as providing an in house kindergarten for employees children (Pumpkin Patch Limited, n.d). This, although fairly minor, is a prime example of how contemporary businesses have adapted one of the founding principles of management and adapted it to fit their organization. As well as this Pumpkin Patch have organized their business into teams such as the information technology (IT) team and the design team who are an integral part of the organization in helping attain their goals and aims ( Brookes, et al., 2008). • 33. The Challenging Switch from DVD or Blu-ray Not too terribly long ago, home video format converted from VHS tapes to DVDs and many consumers found the change difficult to acclimate to. It seems as if as soon as we were familiar with DVDs a new home video technology was introduced. With the recent addition of Blu ray disks to the mix, many consumers are finding themselves confused and inexperienced with the different video technologies. Though DVDs and Blu rays have many similarities they both also have their individual pros and cons. A Blu ray disk is the exact same size as a DVD. When holding the two side by side it would be impossible to differentiate between them. Although relatively new Blu ray is currently supported by about 200 of the world s leading consumer electronics including Apple, Dell, Hitachi, HP, JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, TDK and Thomson, along with recording media, video game and music companies. The most prominent difference between DVD and Blu ray is their available storage space. According to the Blu ray Disk Association, a Blu ray is an optical disk which uses a blue violet laser as opposed to the typical red laser. This technology has a shorter wavelength than a red laser, which makes it possible to focus the laser spot with even greater precision. This allows data to be packed more tightly and stored in less space, so it s possible to fit more data on the disc even though it s the same size. Larger storage capacity allows Blu ray to retain better ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It will be a real challenge for both, says Callanan as a new party has never gained a majority. He paused. But Macron has a better chance than Le Pen. One important issue that the new president will need to address is on the national security, as terrorist attacks are at their peek right now in France. While Le Pen is focused on immigration, Macron is focused on adding 50,000 police and specialised training. When asked who will appeal more to the public, Callanan said people become more accustomed to these events and the shock effect is mitigated. Think of what it is like living in Beirut... Will Le Pen s claim of deporting all foreigners suspected of a connection to radical Islamism make France safer? Definitely not, replied Mr. Callanan, on the contrary, the anti immigration and anti Islam stance can be taken too far and be counter productive. • 40. Stereotypes and Stereotyping A Stereotypical Female in I m Your Horse in the Night Luisa Valenzuela s short story titled I m Your Horse in the Night is a thought provoking piece of literature. The story is written in such a way that the reader must interpret what is meant by what is being said. Although it is easy to go into depth when describing the elements of this piece, the storyline is rather simple. The story contains an assortment of characters; with those characters being Chiquita, Beto, Andres, and several policemen. The time and location are unknown. The telephone tells us that the time period is of somewhat modern times, and the Spanish ethnicity would most likely relate to the setting being that of a Spanish colonization. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The man in which Chiquita calls Beto would also be considered a major character. Even though the man is never actually present in the story physically, we hear about him extensively through the thoughts and words of Chiquita. The minor character roles would fall upon Andres, and the police officers. Andres might not even qualify as being a valid character, considering that Chiquita was not even sure whether it was him or not on the telephone that morning. The police men are a somewhat important factor to this story, but they are not described as round characters and therefore show no verisimilitude. The title of the story, I m Your Horsein the Night, is relating to a line on the record which Beto brought with him in Chiquita s dream. She tells Beto that she will be his horse in the night, meaning that she will always be there for him. While reading this story, it helps to apply the elements of new criticism. One opposition that was quite distinct, was the fact that Chiquita is in love with this man who is never there for her. She fantasizes about him, making it seem as though he would be an ideal mate, when he obviously is not. Chiquita appears to be living off on her own. It seems as though she is almost isolating herself from the rest of the world. The fact that she sees this wretched man as the one she loves, would be a symbol of low self esteem. ( Wang, n.d. as cited by Morrison, p. 113).
