present that support Schizophrenia include delusions, hallucinations, and negative symptoms. Mr
Beaver showed two types of delusions. The first type was Persecution. As he was leaving the
doctors he had told other patients that the doctors are out to get them, by saying not to trust the
doctors. He also said that the doctors must all be working together and that they were told not to
tell him what is wrong with him. Both of these symptoms are part of the Persecution Delusion.
Due to this feeling he began to isolate himself in his room due to the fact that it was a safe place

The Ponca signed this because their people were near starvation with the buffalo disappearing,
and Lakota war parties who were furious the Ponca had signed away their traditional lands to the
government were a constant, ominous threat. The fourth and final treaty was signed a few
weeks before the Civil War ended, on March 19, 1865. As a reward for their constant fidelity to
the government and citizens, (32) the Indian Office gave the Ponca a new 96,000 acre reservation
near the mouth of the Niobrara, (their old traditional homeland that included their old burial
grounds and cornfield) since a delegation of chiefs in Washington, D.C. agreed to give up 30,000
acres of their current reservation. The Ponca once again flourished, with their people now
numbering around seven hundred. Sadly, Congress took almost two years to ratify the last treaty,
so annuities dried up and there was no money left for schools, saw mills, plows, or fencing to keep
the horses and cows from eating up their crops. Once again, the Ponca faced severe hunger. Three
years later, on April 29, 1868, Lieutenant General William Tecumseh Sherman grew tired of
constant warfare with the Lakota, and signed a treaty giving them unprecedented concessions.
Known as the Fort Laramie Treaty, one of the later characterized blundered concessions
