2. Identify and Prioritize Your Goals 1. Review your goals. 2. Assign a priority to each goal: A - Priorities are critical goals - You must accomplish them to be successful. B - Priorities are enabling goals - They create a more desirable condition in the long run. C - Priorities are nice to have goals. 3. Distinguish between urgent tasks (those demanding immediate attention) and crucial tasks (those that support your critical goals). 4. Remember not all urgent tasks are crucial.

Prioritize each task as 1 (supports your critical goals), 2 (supports your enabling goals), or 3 (urgent and non-urgent tasks which are nice to have). 3. Establish a deadline for completing each task.

6. Schedule Your Time More Effectively . 1. Make use of scheduling tools, such as “To do" lists, appointment calendars, and daily or weekly planners. 2. Develop your schedule - Enter tasks into it and indicate the time frames in which you expect to complete the tasks. 3. Block off some "free time" in your schedule to accommodate as a contingency for unexpected events and or opportunities.
7. Monitor and Improve Your Time Management Strategies. 1. At least once a day, take stock of how you're doing relative to your schedule. 2. Look for patterns, such as chronic procrastinating or underestimating time required by tasks. 3. Fine tune your time management method by reworking portions of your schedule based on what you've learned about your use of time.
