This document summarizes findings from a study measuring ultraviolet (UV) emissions from tanning beds (solaria) in Australia. Key findings include:
- Measured UV emissions from solaria ranged from UV Index 10 to 48, exceeding summer sunlight levels and international limits.
- Emissions varied significantly between beds labeled as the same duration.
- Most solaria emitted more total UVA and UVB than midday summer sunlight.
- These high emission levels indicate non-compliance with proposed regulations and potential overexposure risks for users. Effective regulation of solaria is needed to reduce skin cancer risks in Australia.

The research will explore how people receive news and information through social media, examine evolving relationships within social networks, and how users can influence others. It will analyze popular sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The research will look at how technology has shifted power to individuals and the growth of social media from 2008-2009. It will also discuss how social media is fundamentally changing how consumers and businesses interact, as explained by social media expert Erik Qualman. The report will include the research goal, technology analysis, methodology, economic and social implications, and impact on users.
This document discusses asymmetric volatility and the leverage effect in financial markets. It defines key concepts like actual and implied volatility, and how log-normal returns are used as a proxy for true volatility. Stochastic volatility models like GARCH are presented which assume volatility varies with variance. Charts of crude oil, gold, FTSE 100, and Euro vs dollar futures markets show evidence of leverage effects, where negative returns increase future volatility more than positive returns. The financial crises were found to increase leverage in previously non-leveraged currency and commodity markets. Asymmetric volatility can be used to scale trades and re-enforce positions in options and futures strategies.

Useful knowledge Versus Useless KnowledgeAsad Zaman
Islam distinguishes strongly between the two types, while Western epistemology holds that we cannot tell the difference between useful and useless knowledge. These slides explain that the difference arises because secular modern mindset considers life to be meaningless, while Islam considers our unique and precious lives to be infinitely valuable. Lifelong learning is increasingly important as life expectancy increases. In the early 20th century, life expectancy was in the mid-40s but is now in the mid-70s. This implies that people will need to remain active and keep skills updated in the workforce for longer. Lifelong learning provides economic and social benefits, helping to attract investment and engage citizens. It also provides second chances for personal and professional development. Learning occurs through experiences, reflection on those experiences, drawing conclusions, and testing conclusions in practice. New technologies now provide more opportunities for flexible and accessible lifelong learning.

Knowledge Based Governance: Learning Governance and LeadershipErwin Schwella
This document discusses knowledge-based governance and organizational learning for improved performance in local governments. It proposes using action research and action learning approaches to move from data to wisdom. Mandela drew on his experience in prison to develop empathy and consider problems from multiple perspectives. Both leaders stressed the need for moral renewal and addressing societal and global challenges through cooperation rather than alone. They viewed the role of a leader as providing direction while allowing others to go ahead, recognizing that true change begins from within each individual.
Mintzberg and Mandela both emphasized the importance of self-reflection, understanding others, and leading through challenging times of change. Mandela drew on his experience in prison to develop empathy and think deeply about solving problems. Both noted that changing society requires inner change in people and leaders must understand contexts and work with others globally and locally. Mandela likened a leader to a shepherd who guides from behind and said freedom requires continuing responsibility through further change.

The key aspects are leading change through social learning, creating a learning organization, and applying leadership and strategy to continuously improve performance.

Key dynamics include uncertainty, institutional fatigue, a lack of connection between leaders and publics, and the need to address "wicked problems" through complex adaptive approaches rather than inadequate options.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

12. Advancing in Life Irrespective of Age:
Stay Graceful
A Prayer For Growing Old Gracefully
Lord,
Thou knowest better than I myself that I am growing older and will someday be old. Keep me from the fatal
habit of thinking I must say something on every subject and on every occasion.
Release me from craving to straighten out everybody's affairs. Make me thoughtful but not moody; helpful
but not bossy. With my vast store of wisdom, it seems a pity not to use it all; but Thou knowest, Lord, that I
want a few friends at the end.
Keep my mind free from the recital of endless details; give me wings to get to the point.
Seal my lips on my aches and pains; they are increasing, and love of rehearsing them is becoming sweeter as
the years go by. I dare not ask for improved memory, but for a growing humility and a lessening cock-
sureness when my memory seems to clash with the memories of others.
Teach me the glorious lesson that occasionally I may be mistaken. Keep me reasonably sweet, for a sour old
person is one of the crowning works of the devil. Give me the ability to see good things in unexpected places
and talents in unexpected people; and give, O Lord, the grace to tell them so. Amen.
