      your audience
Addressing & Attracting
       Audience - Pre Production
The location we chose to shot our thriller opening, contributes towards
attracting our teenage demographic as our target audience will feel
more involved and familiar with a school building. Hence our opening
will be more thrilling for our chosen specific audience, as they will feel a
sense of unease as the janitor creeps around the school.


We hoped to appeal to our teenage demographic by incorporating
aspects of creativity and self expression. Dance, is popular amongst the
majority teenagers and also appeals to a wider age range which would
hopefully expand our audience. We shot the dance routine from
different angels and perspectives to sustain interest as viewing the
action from one point of view would be less visually stimulating.
Attracting audience - Post
        Production
              I set up a Facebook page for
                 “Recrudescence” to attract
                 our audience. Most teenagers
                 of this day and age have
                 Facebook, so we felt this
                 would be a great way to grab
                 the attention of our target
                 market. By means of
                 Facebook we could encourage
                 the public to ‘like’ the
                 “Recrudescence” FB page to
                 promote and publicize our
                 film.
Once the product was complete I
                                    Film Poster
thought about how we would attract
our target audience. Referring back
to the questionnaire, a considerable
amount of people said billboards
attract them to upcoming films, so I
thought to construct our own
“Recrudescence” film poster.
Showing when the film will be
released, the main characters, a
brief review and star rating from the
‘Daily Mail’: “Hybryne at her best”
and to entice the consumers,
positive descriptions of the film:
“Terrifying, Extremely Clever
Thriller”

We hoped to appeal to our teenage demographic by incorporating aspects of creativity and self expression. Dance, is popular amongst the majority teenagers and also appeals to a wider age range which would hopefully expand our audience. We shot the dance routine from different angels and perspectives to sustain interest as viewing the action from one point of view would be less visually stimulating.
  • 3. Attracting audience - Post Production I set up a Facebook page for “Recrudescence” to attract our audience. Most teenagers of this day and age have Facebook, so we felt this would be a great way to grab the attention of our target market. By means of Facebook we could encourage the public to ‘like’ the “Recrudescence” FB page to promote and publicize our film.
  • 4. Once the product was complete I Film Poster thought about how we would attract our target audience. Referring back to the questionnaire, a considerable amount of people said billboards attract them to upcoming films, so I thought to construct our own “Recrudescence” film poster. Showing when the film will be released, the main characters, a brief review and star rating from the ‘Daily Mail’: “Hybryne at her best” and to entice the consumers, positive descriptions of the film: “Terrifying, Extremely Clever Thriller”
