Kaskus was founded in 1999, and ever since, has been the largest online community in Indonesia. Many of the old-time users have reluctance to change, and any changes done can shake the ground of the hard-core fans. On the other hand, with the shift in the user behavior and the new wave of competitions, change is inevitable. KASKUS needs to adapt to stay relevant and to continuously deliver great experiences for its users.
In this presentation, the presenters shared two sides of the stories: first is the transformation of the Kaskus products, and second is the transformation of the organization to support this new direction.

UX & Design Riyadh: Usability Guidelines for Websites & Mobile AppsUXBERT
Presentation slides from UXBERT's monthly UX & Design meetups in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 28th. In this session we covered the UX process, business benefits of UX and an overview of Jakob Nielsen's 10 Usability Heuristics.
User Experience Design: A basic level understanding of UXD for developer community. This is a quick summary and also consists of few tips and tricks to make your application usable.
Design-Integration: The operational horizon for human-centered design. This talk was presented to Boulder UI/UX and San Diego Experience Design Meetups
A myriad of user experience deliverables are available to the UXD practitioner, but which are most effective for capturing the design concept, process, and vision? We survey preferred sets of deliverables and give pointers for choosing yours.
Product and UX - are the roles blurring?Jesse Gant
For most web-based companies, it appears that product managers have started to evolve their user experience (UX) skills in order to sell key concepts to developers, executives and even customers. On the flip side, UX folks contribute significant requirements and user stories in their design process and user research. So are the two roles becoming one? This covers the roles and why they are unique or not and even delves into the creation of annotated wireframes or prototypes instead of long-winded requirements docs - in an attempt to speed up the process to validate features and designs sooner rather than later with customers.
My presentation for the IA Konferenz 2009 (http://www.iakonferenz.org/) on the difference between UX theories and what happens in practice. Includes the quiz "What deliverable is this?".
As a Marketer, I deliver delightful web & mobile experiences that combine listening to users’ needs with the know-how of a UX Designer and the business mindset of a Startup Founder.
Designing Better Applications, Website and IntranetsDennis Breen
Creating great websites and applications is hard work. There are so many aspects to juggle; so much complexity to control. You have to understand the needs of your users, get buy-in from stakeholders, organize lots of content and create an intuitive interface. This is no small order.
Fortunately, nForm has created a simple resource to pass on a little of what we’ve learned about planning for great design. Our User Experience Cards feature tried-and-true methods for designing better interactive products of all kinds--from online stores to corporate intranets to mobile apps.
Learn about why these methods are needed, how they can help you achieve success, and how you can use the User Experience Cards to plan your own projects.
Topic: UI/UX DESIGN IN AGILE PROCESS
Why do we integrate design into our Agile process?
As we all know, the Agile Manifesto is well-received and successfully adopted as it is today thanks to the 12 underpinning principles. While “good design” is one main reason that “enhances agility”, “Agile processes promote sustainable development”.
At Axon Active, it’s important for us to do everything Agile and work with one another collaboratively in Collaboration Model. It gets people on the same page, makes everyone engage more with the product, encourages them to share more creative ideas, and gives them the flexibility they need to improve themselves.
Indeed, Designers and Developers can collaborate more closely and effectively, and subsequently integrating design into Agile process will yield numerous benefits.
For that reason, Scrum Breakfast Da Nang this October will be the very chance for you to learn:
• How to successfully integrate design into Agile process in practice
• How different Collaboration Model is from traditional model
• The benefits of Collaboration Model when done correctly

We’ve shared a lot of data about whether and why ‘this time is different’. But beyond that, why is the tech market opportunity larger than any time in history (no, really!)? One word: mobile.
In this update of his past presentation on Mobile Eating the World — delivered this month at Andreessen Horowitz’ annual investor meeting — a16z’s Benedict Evans shares just how and why mobile changes everything. Because tech is outgrowing the tech industry.

Today’s most beloved technology products and services balance design and engineering in a way that perfectly blends form and function. Businesses started by designers have created billions of dollars of value, are raising billions in capital, and VC firms increasingly see the importance of design. The third annual Design in Tech Report examines how design trends are revolutionizing the entrepreneurial and corporate ecosystems in tech. This report covers related M&A activity, new patterns in creativity × business, and the rise of computational design.
Technology is rapidly evolving. Users visit multiple websites every day, and designers must be aware of current and forthcoming trends affected by the continually expanding digital sector. Entrepreneurs and company owners must focus on the aesthetic attractiveness and usability of their websites, digital applications, and services in order to attract and retain customers. To accomplish this, they must be aware of the current UI design trends, as well as continually learn UI UX design courses in Bangalore and upgrade their talents.
The basic objective of every firm is to boost sales and overall corporate growth. The importance of UX/UI design in accomplishing this aim is critical. As Europe's leading economic powerhouse and the fourth-largest hashtag#economy globally, Germany stands at the forefront of innovation and industrial might. Renowned for its precision engineering and high-tech sectors, Germany's economic structure is heavily supported by a robust service industry, accounting for approximately 68% of its GDP. This economic clout and strategic geopolitical stance position Germany as a focal point in the global cyber threat landscape.
In the face of escalating global tensions, particularly those emanating from geopolitical disputes with nations like hashtag#Russia and hashtag#China, hashtag#Germany has witnessed a significant uptick in targeted cyber operations. Our analysis indicates a marked increase in hashtag#cyberattack sophistication aimed at critical infrastructure and key industrial sectors. These attacks range from ransomware campaigns to hashtag#AdvancedPersistentThreats (hashtag#APTs), threatening national security and business integrity.
🔑 Key findings include:
🔍 Increased frequency and complexity of cyber threats.
🔍 Escalation of state-sponsored and criminally motivated cyber operations.
🔍 Active dark web exchanges of malicious tools and tactics.
Our comprehensive report delves into these challenges, using a blend of open-source and proprietary data collection techniques. By monitoring activity on critical networks and analyzing attack patterns, our team provides a detailed overview of the threats facing German entities.
This report aims to equip stakeholders across public and private sectors with the knowledge to enhance their defensive strategies, reduce exposure to cyber risks, and reinforce Germany's resilience against cyber threats.
Techniques to optimize the pagerank algorithm usually fall in two categories. One is to try reducing the work per iteration, and the other is to try reducing the number of iterations. These goals are often at odds with one another. Skipping computation on vertices which have already converged has the potential to save iteration time. Skipping in-identical vertices, with the same in-links, helps reduce duplicate computations and thus could help reduce iteration time. Road networks often have chains which can be short-circuited before pagerank computation to improve performance. Final ranks of chain nodes can be easily calculated. This could reduce both the iteration time, and the number of iterations. If a graph has no dangling nodes, pagerank of each strongly connected component can be computed in topological order. This could help reduce the iteration time, no. of iterations, and also enable multi-iteration concurrency in pagerank computation. The combination of all of the above methods is the STICD algorithm. [sticd] For dynamic graphs, unchanged components whose ranks are unaffected can be skipped altogether.

Empowering the Data Analytics Ecosystem: A Laser Focus on Value
The data analytics ecosystem thrives when every component functions at its peak, unlocking the true potential of data. Here's a laser focus on key areas for an empowered ecosystem:
1. Democratize Access, Not Data:
Granular Access Controls: Provide users with self-service tools tailored to their specific needs, preventing data overload and misuse.
Data Catalogs: Implement robust data catalogs for easy discovery and understanding of available data sources.
2. Foster Collaboration with Clear Roles:
Data Mesh Architecture: Break down data silos by creating a distributed data ownership model with clear ownership and responsibilities.
Collaborative Workspaces: Utilize interactive platforms where data scientists, analysts, and domain experts can work seamlessly together.
3. Leverage Advanced Analytics Strategically:
AI-powered Automation: Automate repetitive tasks like data cleaning and feature engineering, freeing up data talent for higher-level analysis.
Right-Tool Selection: Strategically choose the most effective advanced analytics techniques (e.g., AI, ML) based on specific business problems.
4. Prioritize Data Quality with Automation:
Automated Data Validation: Implement automated data quality checks to identify and rectify errors at the source, minimizing downstream issues.
Data Lineage Tracking: Track the flow of data throughout the ecosystem, ensuring transparency and facilitating root cause analysis for errors.
5. Cultivate a Data-Driven Mindset:
Metrics-Driven Performance Management: Align KPIs and performance metrics with data-driven insights to ensure actionable decision making.
Data Storytelling Workshops: Equip stakeholders with the skills to translate complex data findings into compelling narratives that drive action.
Benefits of a Precise Ecosystem:
Sharpened Focus: Precise access and clear roles ensure everyone works with the most relevant data, maximizing efficiency.
Actionable Insights: Strategic analytics and automated quality checks lead to more reliable and actionable data insights.
Continuous Improvement: Data-driven performance management fosters a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Sustainable Growth: Empowered by data, organizations can make informed decisions to drive sustainable growth and innovation.
By focusing on these precise actions, organizations can create an empowered data analytics ecosystem that delivers real value by driving data-driven decisions and maximizing the return on their data investment.
