The Biological Heritage Association (BHA) owns and manages 32 nature reserves across Australia protecting over 1 million hectares of land, 2700 plant species, 530 animal species including 530 threatened plants and 50 threatened animals. BHA manages the reserves through planning, consultation, science and pragmatism to restore ecosystems and create conditions for native species to survive and thrive. BHA also extends its work through partnerships with other landowners to manage important conservation areas on private lands.
