Rock and Roll
A failure of senior management to endorse
and enforce SharePoint was the biggest
reason for lack of success, followed by
inadequate user training and a general lack
of planning.
Nearly two-thirds of SharePoint installations
are somewhat stalled in their adoption and
progress.
The key lessons learned are don’t leave it to
IT – form a SharePoint steering group. Be
sure to understand the implications of
metadata and taxonomy.
Check out the Content Panda blog for more
info.
“Adoption”
The act of taking something on as your
own. Adoption usually refers to the legal process
of becoming a non-biological parent, but it also
refers to the act of embracing ideas, habits, or
free kittens.
“Empower”
To give power to; to promote the self-actualization
or influence of; helping someone feel strong,
unstoppable, in control of their destiny.
Discover SharePoint
Check out the resources below to find out more about what is SharePoint and learn how you can drive organic adoption
within your organization. Alternatively, you can also visit http://DiscoverSharePoint.com.
DiscoverSharePoint.pdf—Getting to know SharePoint
What is SharePoint? SharePoint is about giving you and the people you work with a better way to get things done
together. Check out the scenarios in this book to see some of the ways SharePoint can help you work better together.
Getting_to_know_Office_365.pdf—Getting to know Office 365
Office 365 is your personal Office and more. It lets you work from virtually anywhere on almost any device, whether
you’re online or offline. It helps you do your best work, the way you want to, wherever you are. That means more
powerful tools for creating content, better ways to work together, and easier ways to share.
SharePoint_Adoption_Guide.docx—SharePoint 2013 Adoption Guide
Adoption of new technologies at work, like SharePoint, won’t happen all at once. In this paper, learn how to craft an
effective plan, aligned with business goals, that will demonstrate how SharePoint will benefit business people personally,
how it will make their job easier, and how it will address the pain points they experience at work.
SharePointAdoptionKit.zip
The adoption kit contains resources to help you drive adoption as explained in the adoption guide, featuring a use case
catalog, videos & how to guides, posters, and email templates.
@heddanewman contentpanda.com
Research shows that (52%) of
organization users are introduced
to SharePoint without any
training or communication plan
to drive internal adoption.
