The nervous system is divided into the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. The central nervous system consists of the brain and spinal cord and processes sensory information and controls motor messages. The peripheral nervous system connects the central nervous system to other parts of the body and environment and is divided into somatic and autonomic nerves.

It is divided into two

PNS is a collection of

The suffix –plegia means
paralysis
Diplegia means paralysis
of two, either the upper
extremities or the lower
extremities
Hemiplegia means
paralysis of one side of
the body
Quadriplegia means
paralysis of all the
extremeties
6. -ESTHESIA
The suffix –esthesia
means nervous
sensation
Anesthesia means
lack of sensations
