Generation Next's mission is to close achievement, entrepreneurship, and employment gaps, specifically increasing the number of African American college graduates, black male teachers, underrepresented minority entrepreneurs, and decreasing minority unemployment. It has begun establishing partnerships and programs and aims to achieve 501c3 status by December 2015.
