2. Camera work
With our short film we want to look as close to big blockbuster movies as possible.
That means a lot of camera movement and high staged blocking.
In the end scene we wanted to include a bit of slow motion.
We will have everything from Tilt-angles to hand held.
Parallax will be a big tool in our short film. Foreground and background will be included in
the Parallax.
That means we will have a lot of tracking shots, but also still shots too enhance the feeling
of loneliness and vulnerability.
The camerawork of the movie “Premium Rush” was pretty good and we will take some
shots of that, which we liked a lot.
3. Lighting
We will follow the 3 point lighting guide line, but we will match the lighting to the mood
of each scene.
In the beginning we will have soft lighting (High key), but as the story moves on it gets
darker and everything has more contrast (Low key).
4. Colour grading
Colour grading is really important to us, because it hasn’t been done much in the past years.
We will do basic colour correction and then try to copy the grading from the oceans movies.
2.35:1 is the aspect
ratio we are going to
use.
It has a very pleasing
framing and it’s really
cinematic.
