NEA Practice Screenshot Comparison Of Orginal Advert and Swede
1. We tried to achieve this
effect by flicking water at red
translucent plastic in front of
the camera. It did not
produce as similar effect as
we had hoped. This could
perhaps better be done by
striking a match.
Left is the original and right
is our attempt. The shot is a
very accurate copy, the
editing successfully got the
colour and light right but it
is limited by the location.
The room was too small to
get a long enough shot and
a classroom display can be
seen in the background.
2. This shot has on the whole
been very accurately
replicated but it also
illustrated the lack of
attention to detail. The
model is kneeling not
crouching and other than the
amp and the black and white
effect the rest of the mise-
en-scene is inaccurate.
Our version of this shot is too
close and too light, but
otherwise not bad. This shot
was particularly successfully
edited using a custom
vignette.
3. This shot was one of the
shots we didn’t film due to
running out of so it was
fairly successfully
improvised in editing as to
not effect the overall advert
but it does decrease the
accuracy of our swede.
The last shot is another well
edited and decently filmed
but inaccurate shot, the
model is facing the wrong
way. This is probably due to
working to a very tight time
limit. It is also a lighter and
closer shot than the in the
original advert.
