This document outlines targets for improving a horror movie trailer. It suggests reshooting a scene to improve accuracy, making injuries look more realistic, adding transitions to show the passing of time, starting with more ominous music to set the horror tone, using low-key lighting to create a scary environment, clarifying the confusing beginning, and improving acting to make it seem more real and less comedic.

2. Targets:
• Reshoot scene where Yinka’s reflection is seen in
door.
We do not see the camera in the actual trailer , this
will improve accuracy.
• Make the bites/injuries more real, maybe not
even show ‘bites’.
The bites looks unreal and makes an almost
comedic effect which we as producers of a horror
film, we don’t want.

3. • Transitions need to show passing of time where
necessary.
This will allow the audience to gage time and passing of
time in a short trailer.
• Make the start more horror, ominous music.
This will portray to the audience, that this is a horror from
the outset giving a clear understanding of the genre.

4. • Use lighting to effect within the trailer. (Low
key lighting).
In certain shots we need the assistance of low
key lighting to produce a horror and scary
environment.

5. • Clear up the beginning.
From feedback we gather that the the starting scene of
the location is confusing with the genre of film, however
we can amend this by adding ominous music over the top
of it (as said above).
• Needs better acting.
This also makes the trailer seem comedic as it doesn’t
seem real.
