He set up his first fashion design house in Paris, but before that clothing was made by anonymous dressmakers where the fashion standard were derived from the styles to be worn by royalty. Frederick worth was the first designer to dictate to his customers what to wear instead of following the rules and demands.<br />His fashion house became really famous. This was the beginning of the tradition of having a designer of a house not only create clothing.<br />Fashion in the 1940’s<br />In the 1940’s because of war years they had to make do with what ever you had available to make clothes.
