 April 9, The Bataan Garisson surrendered

 Bataan only fell after the deaths of six Filipinos and four 
American generals. 
 The surrendering American troops hungry and sick were 
compelled to March from Mariveles, Bataan to San Fernando, 
Pampanga
 45,000 casualties after the March aside from 25,000 who died 
during the March
 11,000 fought while suffering daily from hunger and thirst

 There were already 300 air attacks since Dec. 29 
 The Japs pushed inward to the Manila tunnel 
(Central Camp of Corregidor) 
 May 6 at 10:30 A.M. General Wainwright made a 
broadcast of the surrender of the defenders to Commander in 
Chief 
Masaharu Homma of the Japanese High Command
 He was taken as a prisoner (Cebu) 
 He repeatedly refused the offer and was transferred to 
Malabong, Mindanao 
 He was given death penalty
