Energy Northwest is a public utility consortium that provides clean energy and services to over 1.5 million customers. It operates various generation facilities and the EVITA electric vehicle charging network. EVITA stands for the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Transportation Alliance, a collaborative effort to expand sustainable EV infrastructure. Energy Northwest has received grants to install chargers along highways and in rural communities. Current projects include chargers along the White Pass Scenic Byway using Clean Energy Fund and Coal Transition Fund awards. Future plans involve partnering with more utilities and applying to additional funding sources to further rural charging access.
