Impact of Employee Role Overload on Employee's Performance: An Evidence from...Khizar Hayat Awan
The present research tends to explore the four variable's relationship with the problem statement of “Impact of employee role overload on employee's performance”. This scrutiny is quantitative in nature that has explored the new dimensions of all these variables that are being assimilated together first time in the history of banking industry. Especially, work related self-efficacy and service interaction quality have been taken as main contribution in this study that has approved this inquiry more significant with the help of literature by merging it
with current scenario of commercial banking sector's employee performance in Faisalabad-Pakistan. Data was collected from 204 employees and from their supervisors. All proposed hypothesis has been approved significant by the assistance of Cronbach's Alpha, correlation and regression measurement. Thus some managerial implications regarding employee performance can be improved by deploying the right person at right place. The study also suggested that banking sector must comprehend the increase of employee
performance and banks must have to overcome role overload, so that employees can work freely and satisfy customers.

produce useful products beneficial to mankind and the country. Employee satisfaction is defined as “a function
of perceived performance and expectations”. The reasons such as high stress, lack of communication within the
company, recognition, good working conditions or limited growth opportunities force the employees to resign.
My study is focussed on determining the effect of some of the above stated reasons on the employees in order to
achieve maximum career success. To assess the degree of Employee Satisfaction, Questionnaires were
administered to the employees in the real estate company taking a random of seventy employees for the study
and the research methodology to be used for analysis of the study was descriptive and inferential statistics. The
validity of the questionnaire was tested, using the Cronbach Reliability Calculator software. Further, the
influences of demographics such as gender, age, educational qualification, designation and years of experience on their opinions were examined by Chi-Square Test and the effect of the Constructs on Employee Satisfaction were determined by Regression Analysis.
The practitioners and academicians in the business arena are highly concern about the enhancement of employee performance in this competitive age for achievement of business goals. Considering the issue, this study aimed to measure the influence of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices on the performance of employees. The data of this study have been collected from 392 on-the-job operational level employees using survey method who are working at different garment factories in Bangladesh. The collected data are analyzed through structural equation modeling to partial least square method. The study empirically proves that employee training and development, promotion opportunity, and job security has significant influence on the employees’ performance. Theoretically, this study proves that training and development, job security and promotion opportunity together influence on the performance of employees in the developing economy. The practitioners and policy makers of the organizations are expected to make necessary adjustments in their existing HRM practices based on the findings of this study in the context of Bangladesh for enhancing the employees’ performance level so that their whole-hearted efforts can be gained for the achievement of business goals.

Employee Motivation and Job Performance of Selected Construction Companies in...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
This study was to investigate the relationship
between employee motivation and job performance of selected
construction companies in Rivers State. In this study, we have
two variables employee motivation as the independent
variable and job performances as the dependent variable.
Both of these variables have their dimensions and measures
which will assist the researcher to find out the relationship
that employee motivation and job performances of selected
construction companies in Rivers State, the methodology
adopted was descriptive research design to collect both
primary and secondary data. The population of this study
consists of 100 (one hundred) staff in the selected construction
companies in Rivers State. The instrument used for data
collection was a questionnaire in four point likert scale. 100
copies of questionnaire were distributed to employees of
selected construction companies in Rivers State which 90 was
retrieved for the analysis. The test-re-test method was adopted
in assessing the reliability of the study instrument. The data
were analysed using t-test, while three hypotheses were tested
using cronbach alpha with the help of Statistical tool to
establish the significance of relationship between employee
motivation and job performance of selected construction
companies in Rivers State. From the above it was
recommended that organizations should emphasize on

performance. The study recommends that Construction
Companies should include employees in policy making which
will boost their job performance.
Although performance appraisal is concerned with the evaluation of workers job performance, it at the same time serves to highlight the specific objectives of an organization. As the employee is being evaluated the organization is also evaluating itself by comparing objectives and standards of performance, reviews the whole appraisal framework and design as well as organizational values and culture. Performance appraisal is a veritable tool for organizations to evaluate and increase the quality of education and training of their workforce with a view to developing lifelong learning patterns and strategies to sustain productivity throughout longer working periods. Motivation as it relates to employee productivity is often behind the drive for performance and self-actualization and provides opportunities for higher productivity. Productivity is an important measure of goal achievement because getting more done with less resources increases organizational profitability. Using the exploratory research design and 109 participants the result of the study indicates a strong positive correlation between performance appraisal and employee productivity. It suggests that the issue of performance appraisal in charitable organizations should be addressed. In view of the result of the study, the paper recommends that performance appraisal should carefully review employee’s strengths and weaknesses against requirements for possible future higher responsibilities.
The primary purpose of this study is to provide a conceptual framework for „student satisfaction‟ in
order to understand and conceptualise the key aspects of the term.

The need to improve productivity within organizations has prompted to these managers employing management tools, as suggested by scholars and researchers. Some of these tools include the Total Quality Management tool and the Process Re-Engineering tool (Markos et al. 2010). These tools, primarily focusing on process and operatio ...
Impact of Employee Engagement on PerformanceIJAEMSJORNAL
Employee engagement is a vast concept and has a wide area of interpretation and thus each organisation interprets the meaning of employee engagement on its own terms, knowledge, and culture. Employee engagement is a relationship between the employee and the enterprise, an engaged employee is the one who is entirely engrossed in and ardent about their work and so takes positive steps to further the organisation's prestige and interests. The construct employee engagement is built on the foundation of concepts like organisation citizenship behaviour, employee commitment, and job satisfaction. Though it relates to and besets these concepts but employee engagement is broader in scope. In today's scenario organisations have started looking out for ways more stronger than only monetary incentives to keep employees involved and work towards goals, hence comes the role of employee engagement which helps the employees realise they are a part of the organisation and thus employees are emotionally connected to their organization and highly involved in their job with a great enthusiasm for the success of their employer, going an extra mile beyond the employment contractual agreement assuming all their efforts leads to the growth of what already belongs to them. Since Employee engagement is a fairly novel concept thus a lot of measurement metrics are not present to find out direct relationship between employee engagement and its impact on the performance of employees thus the purpose of this paper is to find out an Impact of employee engagement on the performance of the employees.

The Influence of Human Resource Development, Organizational Commitment, Compe...inventionjournals
This research aims at examining and analyzing the influence of human resource development, organizational commitment, compensation, working environment, and leadership style to employee performance. This studyis an explanatory research which examines the hypothesis. This research was conducted at SULUTGO Bank Company in North Sulawesi Province. The sample for this research was 135 respondents of the total population which is 204 employees. The technique used for data collection is area proportional random sampling. The data were collected from the distributed questionnaires which was ranked, tabulated and analyzed by the double linear regression statistics. The result of this research shows that: 1) the human resourcedevelopment has positive and significant impact to employee performance.2) The organizational commitment has positive but insignificant influence to employee performance. 3) Compensation has positive but insignificant influence to staff’s performance.4) Working environment impacts positively and significantly to staff’s performance. 5) Leadershipstyleimpacts positively and significantly to staff’s performance
The changing nature of the workplace has created different employees' expectations and demands. As a result, the working environment is no longer associated with employees that are rigid and treating jobs as static sets of tasks. Instead, employees are being proactive in developing and adjusting their work roles and functions. The act or behaviour of these employees in adapting their work roles to match their needs and preferences is called job crafting. Goal orientation is considered as an important dimension in influencing their behaviours. However, there has been little research on how the mindset, especially public sector employee's goal orientation, adapt to the changing and challenging world of work. Using Partial Least Square approach with 150 samples, the study showed that public employees with learning goal orientation do embraced job crafting activities and the surprising finding that those with performance prove do not embraced such activities.
Human resource is an asset to any organization and as a result training has become an issue that has to be faced by every organization. The main objective of this study was to determine whether training has an outcome on employee performance and organizational effectiveness. This study is both qualitative and quantitative in nature. In order to address the objective of the study, descriptive study design was used in which data was collected across a sample population through simple random sampling. Two hundred thirty-four (234) questionnaires were distributed for the collection of data and 223 were filled and returned back. The methodologies that were used to collect the data were questionnaire and interview augmented by different literature's found in the organization. Results show that training and delivery style have effect on employees performance and also training design have positively affect the overall organizational performance, the organizations predominantly used on-the-job training method, though there is a trade-off between the two methods and less emphasis has been given to off-the-job training methods, the major challenges of human resource training programs of organizations are shortage of training materials, shortage of budget for employee training's, absence of training needs assessment. Hence, it is better if organizations design a training program based on the need assessment result or the requirements of the job and employee deficiency of ability for the job in order to increase individual as well as the overall organization performance.

A Study on Impact of Internal Mobility on Organisational Performance: A Case ...IJLT EMAS
Over a time, manufacturing Industry in India is essentially an outstanding amongst the most well-known enterprises in Indian market. Manufacturing is the producing of goods and a service using labor and other machinery tools this helps to understand the organization performance directly or indirectly has an impact on internal mobility of an employee. Internal mobility mainly tells that relying upon worker's expertise skill and prerequisites with the toss of the employment with organizational commitment and the change in job structure, job design occurs with or without raise in the salary. Organization performance which has many factors which influence the performance but internal mobility is also a supporting factor which has an impact in achieving the vision of the company. This gives an understanding that apart from providing all the necessary facility and good working culture, healthy promotion and transfer employee exit rates are increasing. Thus, internal mobility is most preferable objective to success which implies observable career accomplishments such as promotion, transfer & hierarchical level held and salary. In future to achieve internal mobility, company should adapt the principle of succession management at all ranks, provide transparent discussion of skill and the potential, as well as organizational needs. The reason for this would the favoritism and lack of recognition which is making an employee dissatisfaction towards their organization by this I conclude that the unfair or unethical practices in organization with respect to the internal mobility in the future periods make employee unhappy this is one of the reason to leave an organization which creates a huge impact in the organization performance

Pink bollworm and Lepidoptera development quickly in numbers which is a typical animal group that produces around 100 youthful ones inside certain days or weeks. This assault influences the harvests broadly in the tropical and sub-tropical temperature areas. Thus, to keep up with the yield of harvests the vermin ought to be kept away by utilizing pesticides. The unnecessary measure of the purpose of pesticides influences the dirt, land, and as well as human well-being, and contaminates the climate. Thus, an ozone-accommodating biopesticide is extracted from the stems of the Gossypium arboreum. Thus, the extraction of biopesticide from the stems of Gossypium arboreum demonstrated that the quantity of pink bollworm and Lepidoptera is diminished step by step in the wake of showering the arrangement on the impacted region of the plant because of the presence of the gossypol.

An Empirical Analysis of Financial Performance of Selected Oil Exploration an...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
After the United States, China, and Japan, India was the world's fourth biggest consumer of oil and petroleum products. The nation is significantly reliant on crude oil imports, the majority of which come from the Middle East. The Indian oil and gas business is one of the country's six main sectors, with important forward links to the rest of the economy. More than two-thirds of the country's overall primary energy demands are met by the oil and gas industry. The industry has played a key role in placing India on the global map. India is now the world's sixth biggest crude oil user and ninth largest crude oil importer. In addition, the country's portion of the worldwide refining market is growing. India's refining industry is now the world's sixth biggest. With plans for Reliance Petroleum Limited to commission another refinery with a capacity of 29 MTPA next 16 to its 33 MTPA refinery in Jamnagar, Gujarat, this position is projected to be enhanced. As a consequence, the Reliance refinery would be the biggest single-site refinery in the world. Based on secondary data gathered from CMIE, the current research examines the ratios influencing the profitability of selected oil exploration and production businesses in India during a 10-year period.
Since 1991, thanks to economic policy liberalization, the Indian economy has entered an era in which Indian businesses can no longer disregard global markets. Prior to the 1990s, the prices of a variety of commodities, metals, and other assets were carefully regulated. Others, which were not rolled, were primarily dependant on regulated input costs. As a result, there was no uncertainty and, as a result, no price fluctuations. However, in 1991, when the process of deregulation began, the prices of most items were deregulated. It has also resulted in the exchange being partially deregulated, easing trade restrictions, lowering interest rates, and making significant advancements in foreign institutional investors' access to the capital markets, as well as establishing market-based government securities pricing, among other things. Furthermore, portfolio and securities price volatility and instability were influenced by market-determined exchange rates and interest rates. As a result, hedging strategies employing a variety of derivatives were exposed to a variety of risks. The Indian capital market will be examined in this study, with a focus on derivatives.
Theoretical Estimation of CO2 Compression and Transport Costs for an hypothet...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
SEI S.p.a. presented a project to build a 1320 MW coal-fired power plant in Saline Joniche, on the Southern tip of Calabria Region, Italy, in 2008. A gross early evaluation about the possibility to add CCS (CO2 Capture & Storage) was performed too. The project generated widespread opposition among environmental associations, citizens and local institutions in that period, against the coal use to produce energy, as a consequence of its GHG clima-alterating impact. Moreover the CCS (also named Carbon Capture & Storage or more recently CCUS: Carbon Capture-Usage-Storage) technology was at that time still an unknown and “mysterious” solution for the GHG avoiding to the atmosphere. The present study concerns the sizing of the compression and transportation system of the CCS section, included in the project presented at the time by SEI Spa; the sizing of the compression station and the pipeline connecting the plant to the possible Fosca01 offshore injection site previously studied as a possible storage solution, as part of a coarse screening of CO2 storage sites in the Calabria Region. This study takes into account the costs of construction, operation and maintenance (O&M) of both the compression plant and the sound pipeline, considering the gross static storage capacity of the Fosca01 reservoir as a whole as previously evaluated.

Techno-Economic Aspects of Solid Food Wastes into Bio-ManureDr. Amarjeet Singh
Solid waste is health hazard and cause damage to the environment due to improper handling. Solid waste comprises of Industrial Waste (IW), Hazardous Waste (HW), Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), Electronic waste (E-waste), Bio-Medical Waste (BMW) which depend on their supply & characteristics. Food waste or Bio-waste composting and its role in sustainable development is explained in food waste is a growing area of concern with many costs to our community in terms of waste collection, disposal and greenhouse gases. When rotting food ends up in landfill it turns into methane, a greenhouse gas that is particularly damaging to the environment. Composting is biochemical process in which organic materials are biologically degraded, resulting in the production of organic by products and energy in the form of heat. Heat is trapped within the composting mass, leading to the phenomenon of self-heating. This overall process provide us Bio-Manure.
Crypto-Currencies: Can Investors Rely on them as Investment Avenue?Dr. Amarjeet Singh
The purpose of this study is to examine investors’ perceptions about investing in crypto-currencies. We think that investors trust in crypto-currencies is largely driven by crypto-currency comprehension, trust in government, and transaction speed. This is the first study to examine crypto-currencies from the investor’s perspective. Following that, we discover important antecedents of crypto-currency confidence. Second, we look at the government's role in crypto-currencies. The importance of this study is: first, crypto-currencies have the potential to disrupt the current economic system as the debate is all about impact of decentralization of transactions; thus, further research into how it affects investors trust is essential; and second, access to crypto-currencies. Finally, if Fin-Tech companies or banks want to enter the bitcoin industry may not attract huge advertising costs as well as marketing to soothe clients' concerns about investing in various digital currencies The research sheds light on indecisiveness in the context of marketing aspects adopted by demonstrating investors are aware about the crypto.
Awareness of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) among Student of the Catanduanes S...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
The Island Province of Catanduanes is prone to all types of natural hazards that includes torrential and heavy rains, strong winds and surge, flooding and landslide or slope failures as a result of its geographical location and topography. RA 10121 mandates local DRRM bodies to “encourage community, specifically the youth, participation in disaster risk reduction and management activities, such as organizing quick response groups, particularly in identified disaster-prone areas, as well as the inclusion of disaster risk reduction and management programs as part of youth programs and projects. The study aims to determine the awareness to disaster of the student of the Catanduanes State University. The disaster-based questionnaire was prepared and distributed among 636 students selected randomly from different Colleges and Laboratory Schools in the University
The Catanduanes State University students understood some disaster-related concepts and ideas, but uncertain on issues on preparedness, adaptation, and awareness on the risks inflicted by these natural hazards. Low perception on disaster risks are evidently observed among students. The responses of the students could be based on the efficiency and impact of the integration of DRR education in the senior high school curriculum. Specifically, integration of the concepts about the hazards, hazard maps, disaster preparedness, awareness, mitigation, prevention, adaptation, and resiliency in the science curriculum possibly affect the knowledge and understanding of students on DRR. Preparedness drills and other forms of capacity building must be done to improve awareness of the student towards DRRM.
The study further recommends that teachers and instructor must also be capacitated in handling disaster as they are the prime movers in the implementation of the DRRM in education. Preparedness drills and other forms of capacity building must be done to improve awareness of the student towards DRRM. Core subjects in Earth Sciences must be reinforced with geologic hazards. Learning competencies must also be focused on hazard identification and mapping, and coping with different geologic disaster.
The 1857 war was a watershed moment in the history of the Indian subcontinent. The battle has sparked academic debate among historians and sociologists all around the world. Despite the fact that it has been more than 150 years, this battle continues to pique the interest of historians. The war's causes and events that occurred throughout the conflict, persons who backed the British and anti-British fighters, and the results and ramifications, are all aspects of this conflict. In terms of outcomes, many academics believe that the war was a failure for those who started it. It is often assumed that the Indians who battled the British in this conflict were unable to achieve their goals. Many gains accrued to Indians as a result of the conflict, but these achievements are overshadowed by the dispute over the war's failure. This research effort focuses on the war's achievements for India, and the significance of those achievements.
Haryana's Honour Killings: A Social and Legal Point of ViewDr. Amarjeet Singh
Life is unpredictably unpredictable. Nobody knows what will happen in the next minute of their lives. In this circumstance, every human being has the right and desire to conduct their lives according to their own desires. No one should be forced to live a life solely for the benefit and reputation of others. Honour killing is defined as the assassination of a person, whether male or female, who refuses to accept the family's arranged marriage or decides to move her or his marital life according to her or his wishes solely because it jeopardizes the family's honour. The family's supreme authority looks after the family's name but neglects to consider the love and affection shared among family members. I have discussed honour killing in India in my research work. This sort of murder occurs as a result of particular triggers, which are also examined in relation to the role of the law in honour killing. No one can be released free if they break the law, and in this case, it is a felony that violates various regulations designed to safeguard citizens. This crime is similar to many others, but it is distinct enough to be differentiated in the report. When the husband is of low social standing, it lowers the position and caste of the female family, prompting the male family members to murder the girl. But they forget that the girl is their kid and that while rank may be attained, a girl's life can never be replaced, and that caste is less valuable than the girl's life and love spent with them.
Optimization of Digital-Based MSME E-Commerce: Challenges and Opportunities i...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
The impact caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic on Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) was so severe and fatal
that not a few went out of business. The heavy burden is borne by MSME actors due to social restrictions imposed by the
government, the declining purchasing power of the people, a product that continues to decline until capital runs out. Plus
inadequate knowledge in carrying out marketing strategies and product innovations are the main trigger for the lack of
enthusiasm for MSME actors as well as bankruptcy. MSME digitalization-based e-commerce is an opportunity and the right
solution in dealing with the obstacles caused by the impact of Covid-19, as well as a challenge for MSME actors to design old

Modal Space Controller for Hydraulically Driven Six Degree of Freedom Paralle...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
This paper presents the Modal space decoupled control for a hydraulically driven parallel mechanism has been presented. The approach is based on singular values decomposition to the properties of joint-space inverse mass matrix, and mapping of the control and feedback variables from the joint space to the decoupling modal space. The method transformed highly coupled six-input six-output dynamics into six independent single-input single-output (SISO) 1 DOF hydraulically driven mechanical systems. The novelty in this method is that the signals including control errors, control outputs and pressure feedbacks are transformed into decoupled modal space and also the proportional gains and dynamic pressure feedback are tuned in modal space. The results indicate that the conventional controller can only attenuate the resonance peaks of the lower eigenfrequencies of six rigid modes properly, and the peaking points of other relative higher eigenfrequencies are over damped, The further results show that it is very effective to design and tune the system in modal space and that the bandwidth increased substantially except surge (x) and sway (y) motions, each degree of freedom can be almost tuned independently and their bandwidths can be increased near to the undamped eigenfrequencies.
It is a known fact that a large number of Steel Industry Expansion projects in India have been delayed due to regulatory clearances, environmental issues and problems pertaining to land acquisition. I. INTRODUCTION
Human resource is one of any organization's most
significant assets to gain competitive benefits and create
the organization's success. Its capacities help transform the
other resources into production. Therefore, it is a
significant element in any organization. Any resources in
an organization can be imitated by the competitor but the
human resources are unique. Thus, the performance of an
employee in an organization is a significant element of
managing human resources. The ultimate goal of each
business organization is to enhance the organization's
wealth. This can be achieved through the results of the
worker. Human humans may vary not only in appearance,
but in ability as well. Consequently, their output may differ
from one another, and it may also be assessed favorably or
negatively. Therefore, employee performance can be
acknowledged based on the multiple work or task data they
are performing. Work rotation methods are employee
movement among various duties and roles that will be
comparable in nature (Torrington and Derek, 1991). In
addition, job rotation is a systematic shift from one work to
another within an organization and treated as one of the
ways to achieve various human resource goals. These
practices enable the employees to make their career path in
a workplace and ultimately it’s increasing the employee’s
job performance. There are many reasons for
implementing a job rotation practices within an
organization such as increased product quality, giving
opportunity to employees to explore alternative career
paths and most importantly, preventing job boredom
(Adjei and Dora, 2012). Employees who practiced job
rotation are better able to find alternative works and they
have obtained many skills in their jobs that they have
rotated within the organization (Hutchinson, 1999).
According to the findings, it reflects with the achievements
of these things through the job rotation, ultimately it gives
the path to enhance the employees’ job performance. But,
there are some negative attributes also associated with job
rotation (Hsieh and Chao, 2004). When rotation occurs at
longer periods, it gives the progress to human resource
development. On the other hand, it has connected with
many organizational issues such as work stress,
employee’s performance, employees’ satisfaction and their
commitment and so on.
Banks are considered as one of the financial
institutions which rotate their employees from one job to
another across various departments or various units for
multiple reasons depending on specific needs of an
organization. On the other hand, banking sector plays a
durable role by creating conductive environment where

employees can acquire with the required knowledge,
competencies and attitude to create value for the
organization (CBSL report, 2014). Therefore drawing from
this gap the current studies try to identify the impact of job
rotation practices on employee job performances with the
mediating effect of intrinsic motivation.
Research Objectives
1. To identify the impact of employee job rotation
practices on job performances of Operational
levels employees in banking industry of Sri Lanka
2. To identify the impact of employee job rotation
practices on job performances through intrinsic
motivation of Operational levels employees in
banking industry of Sri Lanka
II. LITERATURE REVIEW
Most of the researchers define the job rotation in
different ways. Job rotation is an interesting mechanism
for employees to work in different positions and jobs as
possible. It is considered as the lateral transfers of
employees between jobs in an organization. In job rotation
employees are moving among the different jobs time to
time and this movement focus to achieve different
purposes (Bennett and Ben, 2003). Moreover, it can be
identified as shifting of employees from one task to
another where each task requires different skills and
responsibilities. In similar fashion, job rotation can be
identified as a horizontal displacement of workers in
different stations so that each workstation requires
different skills and responsibilities (Dorri et al., 2013) .
The main objective of job rotation is shifting employees
from a job to another in order to increase their motivation
and enthusiasm as well it requires transferring employees
from one unit to another to increase their ability in all
fields. According to the (Delpasand et al., 2010) Job
rotation is considered as a method of designing jobs in
different sections, and solved the tiredness caused by
repetitive job tasks with a change in duties and tasks while
Some scholars said it is an movement of staff in jobs at the
same level in the organization as they are not promoted in
the job where they are rotated. This strategy is considered
as systematic movement of employees from one job to
another at planned intervals (Dessler et al., 2009). It
involves periodic shifting of employees from one task to
another.
Job rotation is an excellent way for the
organizations to develop their employees (Beatty et al.,
1987). Thus, it is necessary for employees to work in
different organizational units in order to acquire
organizational knowledge to accomplish the future
responsibilities and duties. Job rotation called as the multi-
tasking, lateral transfer and job-shadowing. Many
businesses use job rotation as a means to learn operations
and become "well-rounded" employees and also it can be
identified as a succession planning tool. Therefore, through
the rotational activities it affords benefits to the employees
as well organization also. Job rotation can be assigned as
the process of switching a person from job to job which
increases an employee’s capabilities by sustaining the
value to an organization (Edward, 2005).
The importance of job rotation has been identified
in almost every corporate setting all around the world.
Thus, both the employees and employers of an
organization can benefit from job rotation practices.
Rotational activities help to encourage the employees to be
more satisfied in their work which may serve as a
competitive weapon for an organization. If employee job is
rotated to different operations, they can identify what they
are good at and what they enjoy doing and also those
activities advances the employee’s abilities and mutual
understanding of their job and it enhance team
effectiveness and facilitate the employees for promotions
after successful achievement of work rotation programs
(Fægri et al., 2010). Moreover, job rotation helps to
enhance the business by developing flexible work
practices, sensible and practical working arrangements and
also to open up a range of career choices for all employees
(Hutchinson and Jo, 1999). On other hand, it helps the
organizations to bring a durable outcome from each
employee to the firm’s value base (Arogyaswamy and
Simmons, 1993). Today, most of the financial institutions
including banks to introduce well-designed job rotation
practices which allow the employees to learn and adapt
new skills and knowledge as well as to enhance the
existing knowledge and skills of them. Besides, sometime
job rotation programmes which are conducting in the
organizations are categorized based on the employees
existing capabilities and competencies. Based on the
scholars, job rotation practices has prepared based on the
work practice of the employees to promote the acquisition
of new skills and qualifications and to increase the output
(Jaturanonda et al., 2006) while it as the working in
varying posts or situations at some time periods which are
categorized based on a range of individual knowledge,
skill and capability of employees (Jerez Gómez et al.,
2004).
In the employers’ side, they see rotation as a way
of acquiring skills needed for promotion and enables
employees to acquire best practices from a number of
different tasks and it is a good way to build one’s career
(Baro and E, 2012). They believe that those practices
contribute to enhance employees' capabilities and their
perspectives also (Ho et al., 2009). Job rotation helps
human resource managers to determine who can be
replaced by whom and create a suitable and useful fit.
Further, the practices of job rotation give the support for
the managers to relocate employees conditionally and

regularly in different positions with different incentives
(Mir Sepasi and N, 2012). In the organizational side, they
learns more about its own employees if they can observe
how employees perform at different jobs (Eriksson et al.,
2006). Job rotation erects more benefits as well as
sometime drawbacks on the employees. In some studies,
researchers stated list of benefits of job rotation (Bennett
and Ben, 2003) while some are stated drawbacks of job
rotation programmes(Lavender and A, 1990) and
(MacLeod et al., 1993). Beside, these rotational practices
may be the challenge on the employees’ carrier path also.
Followings are the two dimensions which can be used to
measure the variable of job rotation.
III. METHODOLOGY
The primary data were collected through self-
administered questionnaires from four licensed private
commercial banks head offices situated in Colombo
district which has identified as the four largest banks in Sri
Lanka (Fitch Ratings Report, 2016). Population of the
study consist all the operational level employees in banks.
Colombo district was selected due to the largest banking
density (CBSL Report, 2013). Sample of the study consist
one hundred operational level employees and 25
employees were selected from each bank by using
convenience sampling technique. The questioner consists
with 35 questions which are created based on five point
Likert scale. Cronbach’s Alpha Reliability Test was
conducted to check the overall reliability of the questions
of the questionnaire. According to the objectives of the
study, descriptive statistics, Carl Pearson correlation and
multiple regressions was used to analyze the collected
data. Baron and Kenny four step mediator analysis models
employed to identify the mediating effect. And moreover,
to identify the indirect effect of the mediator researcher
used Sobel test analysis.
IV. FINDINGS OF THE STUDY
Descriptive analysis provides a clear summary
regarding the sample of the study. The majority of the
operational level employees in this research sample were
female employees (76%) and the age group 25 to 35 was
the most frequent age category who is working in the
private commercial banks in Sri Lanka (67.3%).
Significant numbers of employees who are employed in
this industry have 5-10 years of service experience and it is
identified as 78.7% of the sample.
Based on the analyzed data the correlation value
between independent and dependent variable was
0.84which implied that there was a strong positive
relationship. Furthermore, p-value of the results was 0.000
which emphasizes that there was a significant positive
relationship between independent and dependent variables
at 0.05 significant level. This illustrate when lob rotation
practices increase, employee job performances would be
increase.

C’ path 0.121 0.080 0.322 0.000
Source; Based on analyzed data
The above table revealed that the all four paths
are significant with the coefficients of 0.415, 0.544, 0.631,
0.321 at the 0.05 significant levels. Based on the Baron
and Kenny four step model , to exist a mediating effect A
path as well as the B path should significant at 0.05
significant level. Thus based on the analyzed data the A
path and the B path is significant. Hence mediating effect
of Intrinsic Motivation is existing between Job Rotation
Practices and employee Job Performances with reference
to the private commercial banks in Sri Lanka. When
consider about the C path and the C’ paths the data support
for a statistically significant relationship between those
paths as well. When compare the c path and c’ path there is
a significant difference between the coefficients of the two
paths.
C path – c’path =0.415- 0.121 = 0.294
Based on the above difference, when mediator is in the
model, the effect of independent variable on dependent
variable is reduced. Coefficient difference is 0.294 and it
implied that intrinsic motivation partially mediates the
relationship between job rotation practices and employee
job performances at 0.05 significant level.
Moreover, Sobel calculation illustrates the portion
of Job Rotation Practices on employee Job Performances
due to the mediating effect of Intrinsic Motivation and it is
31.23% at the 0.05 significant level. Thus, the Mediator
analysis and Sobel test identified that intrinsic motivation
partially mediates the relationship between the Job
Rotation practices and Employee Job Performances.
V. CONCLUSION
Many arguments which present in the literature
review identified that there is a strong positive relationship
between the requirements of job rotation and job
performance of employees though the performance
measurements are differ within some studies. Through the
finding of this study the previous findings are further
clarified. Employees’ job performance was tested using
performance measurement indicators and the findings
derived that there is a strong positive relationship between
job rotation and employees job performance in private
commercial banks in Sri Lanka. The findings also show
that staff thinks that job rotation improves the
relationships, communications and capacity of staff to be
flexible with evolving operations. Thus, these things show
that arranging regular job rotation procedures will give
insight to the staff who works in private banks to achieve
the better output of staff. Moreover, by adopting job
rotation practices organizations able to intrinsically
motivate employees and it will lead to improve the job
performances of the employees who are working in the
banking sector of Sri Lanka.
