The document presents a conceptual model proposing that employee training and empowerment lead to high job performance. It begins with an introduction on the importance of training and empowerment for achieving organizational goals. The literature review finds that training is positively related to job performance when done effectively. Frequent and relevant training can reduce mistakes and increase productivity. However, training alone may not solve performance issues from lack of motivation. Employee empowerment through participation, delegation, access to information and job enrichment is also linked to higher performance and satisfaction. The conceptual model hypothesizes that the presence of both employee training and empowerment will result in high job performance. Further research is recommended to test this model.
