The DynaVox Vmax+ is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device that allows individuals with speech impairments to communicate. It features a touchscreen, predictive text, and synthesized speech. The Vmax+ can increase language skills and social interaction for students in classrooms. While very expensive, it promotes independence and engagement for those unable to communicate without aids. Teachers can use the device and Boardmaker software to include all students.
