1. The Day Hasn’t Dawned
When the eyes can hardly view
Green hills that hide behind the horizon.
The rivers that flow with a gurgling sound
Morning is here but the day hasn‟t dawned.
Nature that cloths the naked earth
The mist that drags along.
Like the earth covered by these „cotton‟ trees
Unmoved still, though the storm blows a breeze.
When the sky with its watery spouts
Trickles down these rainy drops.
The dry earth still languor in thirsty pain
Still cries out, “Rain! More rain!!”
And in the midst of the solitary silence
The world was still in permanence.
They that slumber into the darkest night
That asks for, “More rain, more rain”.
From the time when man was prehistoric and wild
Nature had nurtured these first leaves as a child.
Seasons change but cannot exchange
These that will always stay the same.
Nor are they fully awake or asleep
Men and their own generations.
Though awaken yet not awake
The sun is up and it‟s past the same.
The day hasn‟t dawned
Someday it will when „we are found‟.
Time comes back like the fruits ripening
And „I must wait‟, „I am still waiting‟.
