In comes the leaves of Fall
So beautiful it will enthrall
Wonderful red, yellow and brown
Mother Nature should wear a crown
Then comes the snow
And the streets are aglow
With children playing like animated dolls
Then suddenly Spring calls
April showers may come down
when you are walking downtown
Along the beach the tide is high
As all the children walk by
Soon it begins to get hot
Now Summer we've got
Sometimes you can feel the sun's rays
Heating up through the humid haze
The circle goes round and round
Four Seasons we are bound

4. Spring The Season Of Joy

The spring is here and the sun is bright,
Everyone is playful they are not having anyone's fright.
I could see the little birds swaying their wings,
I could hear the pretty flowers sing.
The green leaves that are dancing in the air,
Are fearless from everyone present here.
Tip! tip! tip! the water falls,
Sweep! sweep! sweep! the caterpillar crawls.
And when the playful squirrels run,
They seem that they are having so much fun.
As the small kids are swinging high,
Their rosy pink cheeks get shy.
Jumping, jumping come the rabbits,
I really praise their lovely habits.
As they play with their long ears,
Everyone forgets their cries and tears.
But lets wait for the butterflies,
Who keep on flying in the endless skies.
But now mam taps on the door,
And it's the time to go indoor.
I'm always eager for the spring to come,
Because it brings along so much fun.

The grass so green,
The sun so bright,
Life seems a dream,
No worries in sight
Tans and tank tops,
Laughter and bliss,
Each moment passes,
Without even a miss
Friends and cookouts,
Memories and laughs,
Good times to remember,
But how long will it last
The grass soon fades,
Leaves begin to fall,
School replaces sleepovers,
Oh I'll miss it all
8. Snow Day

Snow is falling to the ground
Piling up in enormous mounds
School is cancelled for the day
Children run outside to play
Snowballs are thrown in the air
No one has any care
About school-only fun
Because the day is a snowy one
Snowmen are stacked very high
Their top hats almost skim the sky
To make them round they must pat
Then finish off with mittens and hat
As the weather gets cold
The children are told
To come inside and eat
Hot chocolate with a couple treats
Once the kids are done
They put on their gear for some more fun
Some of them play around
While other kids just lay on the ground
Another kid makes snow angels
Until the dog named Bojangles
Ran through his masterpiece
But then the owner yelled cease

Winter is cold, with gusts of tumbling snow
When rain falls down and nothing ever grows
For children it’s the snow that they desire
And cups of co-co in front of the fire
When winters gone, the grass grows green again
Roses and Tulips sprout, with bright green stems
The bees are buzzing, the birds are singing
Sheep are grazing and cow bells are ringing
And then the sun starts to shine too brightly
It’s so hot that fans are put on nightly
And so then it’s off to the beach or pools
Where people swim about just to keep cool
All the leaves on the trees turn golden-brown
And when on the ground make a crackly sound
In autumn a lot of money you make
For clearing backyards of leaves with a rake
Each season has its own goods and its bads
But since they are all different I am glad!
12. The Wind
© Dee Mcdonald
The wind it moves in wondrous ways
Through the tree branches it blows and its sways
It takes all the leaves and flies them so high
Then briefly it lets go and they fall from the sky
Its strength is so varied from timid to strong
The length of the blowing can be short or long
Sometimes it tickles the tip of your nose
Sometimes sends shivers to the tips of your toes
It can bring some surprises with each passing day
The wind will surprise you in many a way
The sweet sound of whistling, the roar of a storm
It can bring you some happiness and also bring harm
The next time you see a bag blow down the street
The next time you feel the wind at you feet
Remember its power, its beauty and grace
For the wind can be anywhere, it can be any place.

The leaves fall as a call to autumn.
The harvest ends and early snow comes.
The moon comes up, bringing the night as
Time rushes forward in hopes of sleep.
The whole earth slows, as winter approaches with
The warm embraces replaced by wind.
The trees turn from red to black.
Time waits for none on its way to bed.
The song of birds begins to fade.
The whispering breeze becomes a lion’s cry.
The white lands we shall soon see.
Time waits for winter's passage now, the last season.
The year ends and the snow fall slowly.
The cherry blossoms flower in a wonder of spring.
The sky's children become rain instead of snow.
Time has awakened once more.
The rain begins to melt, the spring of life evolves.
The lion of March exits the calendar as a lamb.
The last three months crescendo into the heat.
Time surges forward an hour of daylight.
The sun pelts the earth with a ray of light which
The children leave school to play in during summer.
The flora is bountiful in its presence.
Time begins speeding faster and faster.
The animals wander out in the world.
The last month of summer signals the return to an old
friend
The last plant bears fruit.
Time begins to slowly calm down and fall in pace.
