• The Roman colosseum
is located in Italy (Rome).
The colosseum is the
best touristic center of
Rome and is the most
visited monument in Italy .
In the present is one of
the new seven wonders of
the world.
The History
The Roman colosseum is
an amphitheater built in
the first century. It
had strong religious
elements and it was a
demonstration of family
power. It has been
reconstructed many times
through out history.
Uses
The colosseum was
mainly used to host
events such as the
gladiator fights with
each other or with wild
animals just to entertain
the audience. Today it's
just a touristic center.
Characteristics
The floor was made of
wood and the roof was made
of wool. It had the capacity of
holding about 50 000
spectators. Under the
battlefield there were tunnels
leading to the surface from
which the gladiators and wild
animals came from during
the fights.
COCLUSION:
I think the colosseum must be preserved
because of magnificent it is. It is very
interesting how the roman people could
have built such an amazing structure on
their time! It truly deserves the title of
