Food chain
 Producers: Plants and algae are producers. The
made their own food through photosynthesis.
 Consumers: Primary: such as rabbits and
grasshoppers, eat producers.
 Secundary: such as foxes and toads, are pedators
which eat primary consumers. Carnibores and
omnivores.
 Tertiary: such as snades and hawds, eat
secondary consumers.
 Descomposers: live on the remains of other
living thing. Most decomposers are fungi and
barteria.
Food web
 Most living things are part of more than one
food chain. There can be many different food
chains in an ecosystem. The connected food
chains make up a food web.
Extinction and Protecting
biodiversity
 Is often a natural process and has ocurred for
millions of years.
 Endangered species are those which are in
danger of extinction.
 National parks and biosphere reserces are
created to protect wildlife and its enviroment.
