2. PLANT KINGDOM
Are divided into 2 groups
flowering and non-flowering
plants.
- Flowering plants reproduce
sexually using seeds , they are
classified into Angiosperms
and Gymnosperms.
- Non-flowering plants repruduce
asesually using spores.
- They can not move from place to
place.
- They can reproduces their own
food through photosynthesis.
3. INFORMATION
Plants
Plants cannot move around,
they react to light and other
stimuli. Plants use sunlight
to make their own food. This
process is called
fotosintesis they can adapt
to their enviroment. We can
classify plants by the way
they reproduce.
4. PARTS of plant The roots absorb water
and minerals from the
soil and anchor the
plants in the ground.
The stem: supports the
plant above ground, and
carries the water and
minerals to the leaves.
5. PHOTOSYNTHESIS Photosynthesis is the chemical
reaction where carbon dioxide
(CO2) and water form sugars
and produce oxygen in the
presence of light energy.
Plants use the sugars
produced in photosynthesis as
a food source that is energy for
the plant.
6. INTERESTING FACTS
They adore a certain type of music,
they communicate with each other
through chemical signals, they
ensure the survival of their species
and according to several scientific
studies there are species that are
capable of "committing suicide" if
conditions are adverse.
Plants are capable of recognizing
their congeners (of the same
species) and will give them
preferential treatment (altruism):
when they are among their
"brothers" they are less competitive
with resources such as space for
the root, than when they are
surrounded by strange plants.
