Short film script for Uni module.

INT. ABANDONED HOUSE. HALLWAY. NIGHT
Blake (20) is looking pretty pleased with himself as he walks
up and down a darkened hallway with phone to is ear.
BLAKE
I'm telling you man this is it, this a
perfect location for the film. Its
empty and creepy as shit its pure
perfection.
His friend on the end of the phone sighs with slight
disappointment.
FRIEND (O.S)
Im sure it is but seriously Blake, you
aint even supposed to be in that
house, you know the stories bro, I
dont know I say just fuck it and get
out of there we'll find somewhere else
there's som....(STATIC)
Before he can finish he is suddenly cut off.
Blake takes the phone away from his ear in confusion.
But before he has a chance re dial his friend he hears a
SUDDEN MUFFLED BANGING SOUND coming from one of the rooms.
Immediately attracting his attention, he thinks to himself
'screw it' puts his phone in his pocket and clicks his
flashlight on and slowly begins to walk towards the door.
Just as his hand hovers over the door knob the door knob
slowly begins to turn and then back again.
Quickly moving his hand back Blake watches the door knob move
back and forth before it comes to a SUDDEN stop.
The door slowly creaks open revealing a pitch black room.
The BANGING sound now louder coming from within.
Blake psyches himself up before entering muttering to himself
under his breath.
BLAKE
You've got this
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE. EMPTY ROOM. NIGHT
Blake enters the room, scanning his flashlight around the

darkness.
The light makes out a bare room with nothing of interest
present, just what we'd expect from an abandoned house.
The BANGING sound is almost deafening as Blake directs his
light to the source of the noise.
The light shines on a figure, a man wearing a old fashioned
business shirt and trousers facing away from us, who is
repeatedly banging his head on the wall.
BLAKE
Jesus Christ, stop!
Blake moves closer to the man but suddenly a eerie ghostly
whisper calls out from the darkness forcing Blake to turn
around.
UNKNOWN VOICE
The house is eternal...
Just seconds later Blake is grabbed by the arm by the man who
was BANGING his head on the wall. The man leans into the view
of Blake's flashlight revealing a cold dead complexion with
blood running down his face.
MAN
The. House. Is. Eternal.
Scared beyond belief, Blake pushes the man back and sprints
out of the room desperately closing the door behind him.
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE. HALLWAY. NIGHT
Breathing heavily he listens at the door. Nothing, no sound
of the man pursuing, just pure silence.
As he turns away from the door some sort of powder is blown
into his face by a pale, dead looking frail man with a
walking stick. Blake's face begins to turn a ill pale white.
As he struggles to get the powder out of his eyes the frail
man looks at him whilst disappearing back into the darkness.
FRAIL MAN
The. House. Is. Eternal.
Blake rubs his eyes further before noticing that the hallway
walls are beginning to ooze with various insects by the
second.

BLAKE
Ugh...what the fuck?
He sprints down the hallway, insects falling from the walls.
Vision still blurred we get a quick montage of Blake trying
to frantically force open the doors in the hallway before he
notices that one is ever so slightly open.
He rushes into the room and slams the door shut.
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE. BATHROOM. NIGHT
Now standing in a lit up, dirty bathroom, Blake rushes over
to the sink and turns the taps on, by some miracle, water
flows from the taps.
BLAKE
Yes! thank God
He begins to splash his face with water looking up at his
reflection in the dirty mirror, as he splashes is face for
the third time he opens his eyes to see that the water
flowing from the taps has turned into blood, covering the
sink and his hands.
He looks up to the mirror to see is reflection has been
replaced by a pale skinned decaying woman.
The woman smiles back at him, blood leaking out of her mouth
before letting out a creepy laugh.
WOMAN
The. House. Is. Eternal.
Blake opens his eyes to find the bathroom in its normal dirty
state, no blood or woman looking back at him except his own
face looking more pale than before.Shaking he backs up out of
the bathroom, watching the mirror at all times.
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE. HALLWAY. NIGHT
Entering the hallway once again we find that it has returned
to 'normal' no insects seeping from the walls. Blake shudders
clutching bringing his arms into his chest.
Before he can do anything else he hears the unknown voice
once again, eerily speaking to him in a whisper from all
angles.

UNKNOWN VOICE
The house is eternal
BLAKE
Yeah...no shit
Blake stumbles down the hallway recovering from his
encounters up to this point. He shudders more and more trying
to keep his flashlight stable.
As he continues walking he notices the hallway's walls are
sprawled with writing. Shining his flashlight at the walls he
reads
"I'VE SEEN THEM", "HELP ME", "THEY ARE DEAD AND SO AM I",
"ETERNAL" "GHOSTS ARE REAL"
BLAKE
I've gotta get out of this fucking
house.
Blake stumbles faster towards the exit, throwing himself into
the door,
He pulls on the handle, nothing, he begins to violently try
and open the door, still nothing.
Getting more and more tired and weak Blake tries to shove the
door open, still nothing.
We experience the visions he has seen in the first person
perspective of Blake in a MONTAGE sequence as he frantically
now shoves into the door. Voices in his head speak to him
during the montage.
MAN
The. House. Is. Eternal.
FRAIL MAN
The. House. Is. Eternal.
WOMAN
The. House. Is. Eternal.
Screaming now Blake takes one final massive shove at the door
and is still unable to break the lock and escape.
He stoops down and rests his back against the door.

His head down facing the floor, in realisation that he is
never getting out of the house. His weak pale face stares
down the hallway as his eyes begin to close.
FADE TO BLACK
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE. HALLWAY. NIGHT
FADE FROM BLACK
Blake awakens standing in the hallway. The colour palette has
changed to a cold very dark blue tint. He looks unwell.
Each of the people he's encountered in the house standing
unnaturally still in front of him. The MAN, FRAIL MAN and
WOMAN. Behind them stand a crowd of other people.
Each looking different, some from different time zones, some
from the same. ALL DEAD.
One of them walks among the crowd and stands at the front, A
boy (15) speaks to Blake with the same UNKNOWN VOICE from
earlier.
BOY
I told you the house is eternal
Blake...and now you are too.
He gestures to behind Blake. Blake turns and stares at a
corpse dressed in scruffy clothes clutching a now fading
flashlight in hand, stooped down leaning against the door.
He is looking at himself.
He is dead.
A look of realisation hits Blake's face yet he gives no
immediate reaction except a defeated look of acceptance.
He turns back towards the crowd.
BLAKE
The. House. Is. Eternal
FADE TO BLACK
