Outline of my sequences
1. Outline of my sequences. Sarah Moorhead.
Scene 1.
The clock turns 10:00 as Jill Jackson (mother), James Jackson(father), Judith
Jackson(daughter) and Joe Jackson (son) finish having their food and start to get
ready for bed. Jill begins to wash the pots and James dries and puts then away.
Jill then lets their dog outside for one last time before they go to bed; she then
puts their dog (Jaffa Jackson) in his pen and fills up his water and food bowls,
while James begins to lock up the house. Judith and Joe race each other upstairs
to their bedrooms. James turns on the house alarms as Jill closes the blinds and
switches all electrical equipment off. She turns off the heating and water and
begins to go up the stairs as James follows her up and turns off the lights.
Scene 2.
Judith and Joe have another race this time to see who can get their pajamas on
the fastest. James goes into his bedroom as Jill checks on the children. She takes
them into the bathroom, which is across the hall, to brush their teeth before they
go to sleep. She brushes her teeth as James comes in to brush his too. The
children run out of the bathroom and across the hallway into their bedrooms.
James follows them into their bedroom, as does Jill. She switches their bedside
cabinet lights on and gives them their favourite bedtime book each to read which
helps them get to sleep. James shuts their windows and closes their curtains, and
gives them a kiss goodnight and goes into his bedroom and shuts his bedroom
windows and closes the curtains and settles down in bed. Jill follows him in
switches their bedroom light on and begins to read a book of her own while
James slowly falls asleep. She finishes reading the chapter of her book and puts it
on her bedside cabinet.
Scene 3.
Jill gets out of her bed walks across the suddenly cold landing and into the
children’s bedroom. Both children have fallen asleep. She walks over the Joes
bed, takes away his reading book and puts it in his book box. She gently tucks
him in, trying not to wake him up; she kisses him goodnight and walks over to
the other side of the room. She looks over to Judith takes of her glasses and
places them in her case. She takes away Judith’s book and puts it in her book box,
which is down the side of her bed. Jill slowly tucks her into bed and also gives
her a kiss goodnight and then switches off the light. Jill hears a creaking noise;
she stands still in shock for a moment trying to listen to the noise. After a few
minutes she carries on walking out of the room and back onto the landing. She
quietly closes the children’s door. Jill walks into the bathroom to use the toilet
before she goes to bed, when she hears the dog barking loudly from downstairs.
Scene 4.
Jill ran downstairs quickly towards to dog. When Jill got to the dogs pen he
stopped barking, she double-checked to make sure all the doors were locked. She
gave the dog a reassuring stroke and walked back upstairs As she was walking
upstairs the chandelier began to sway from left to right She caught a glimpse of
movement from the chandelier out of the corner of her eye, she spun around but
nothing was moving. She stood still in fear for a few seconds and speedily ran
upstairs. Jill slowly opened the children’s bedroom door, wandered over to their
beds to check to see if they were all right. She left the children’s room and closed
their door fully. She cautiously went into her room and closed her bedroom door.
2. She slid into her bed and switched off her bedroom lamp, turned to the side and
slowly closed her eyes and began to fall asleep.
Scene 5.
A shadow appears at the bottom of the stairs, the dog’s ears suddenly prick up
and his eyes were fixed to the bottom of the staircase. The shadow began to
cover the first step and slowly started to cover the second step. The dog’s eyes
followed the dark, mysterious shadow. The shadow got to the second set of
stairs; the shadow past the alarm sensor but it never went off. It started on the
second flight of stairs, covering each step at a time. As the shadow past the light
it flickered on and went straight back off, as did the second light and the light
after that. The shadow reached the top of the landing, the bedrooms were in
sight. As the shadow got closer it began to get darker. The shadow passed the
children’s bedroom door and then passed Jill and James’ bedroom. The shadow
began to get bigger and bigger and closer and closer, until it suddenly stopped.
The chandelier at the top of the landing began to sway back and forth; the
chandelier flickered, and with a loud bang came crashing to the floor and
shattered into hundreds of little pieces.
