The document provides tips for writing stories for SSB interviews, including:
- Observe details in pictures and practice writing multiple stories for each picture.
- Use a variety of themes and connect stories to real life. Include an introduction with details about the main character, a 2-3 line problem statement, an 8-10 line problem solving process, and a 2 line conclusion.
- Follow a structure of introduction, problem statement, problem solving, and conclusion. Use different character names from various religions and backgrounds. Write stories you can realistically portray rather than unrealistic scenarios.

A situation is a set of fleeting(Lasting for very short time), dynamic, and momentary circumstances that do not lie within a person (i.e., they are neither own mental processes nor own behavior), but in their surroundings. Rauthmann, 2015
Or
Situation constitutes everything that is outside the person.
A person (Psychologically ) is made up of goals, motives, values, interests, skills, abilities, etc.,
Situations are everything else, including other people.
Every thought, feeling, desire, and behavior is embedded in a situation.
Three different kinds of situational information provide a lens to define situation :

This is the 2nd task of GTO.It is also 2nd out of 3 Indoor GTO tasks. In this integration stage the candidates tend to compete with each other vying for acceptance of their solution
In earlier Group discussion they have explored each other’s capability based on level of discussion and quality.Performance in at least 3 out of 4 tasks in basic series are important for being acceptable in GTO technique. It is the only task for which written proof exists in the form of GPE plan and retained implying one must necessarily do well for consideration of being passed
Some typical answer for IO questions by candidate has been given for guidance.Candidates are advised to prepare answer of expected problems if any based on their own envirionment and circumstances

According to Bruner, humans have two modes of thought:
1.The paradigmatic or logico-scientific Mode- attempts to fulfill the ideal of a formal, mathematical system of description and explanation
2.The narrative mode - leads to good stories, gripping drama, believable (though not necessarily "true") historical accounts.
These understanding will lead us to write a good TAT story
GTO tasks which requires Practical Application are PGT(Progressive Group Task),HGT(Half Group Task),CT(Command Task) and FGT(Final Group Task)
These Tasks are leaderless (Except CT),Situational,Action oriented,Role playing, stressful and Simulated to job performance in service life
Group is expected to use ingenuity in bridging the gap using available resources of a Balli +Plank + Rope and carry a load
Technique of negotiating the tasks remain the same except in PGT (Combination of Four tasks) becomes progressively difficult as one moves from 1st task to 4th task, In HGT Group is divided in two groups so that those who could not perform well in larger Group may find easier to perform better. Besides HGT /CT and FGT consist of only one task. In CT a candidate is chosen as leader for the 1st time and has the freedom to choose two members to assist him
Tasks are basically combination of structures which in itself consists of parts
After having seen the definition of Situation and its relation with perception which in turn modulates or changes the situation,it is worthwhile to attempt to relate various parameters with situation given in SSB in all three discipline such as Psych, GTO and IO Technique.Itis of immense value to SSB aspirants

In some instances, you may be required to present as part of a group to test your ability to work as a member of a team. Working within a group can sometimes be a challenge or a great success. To understand how to effectively work in a group, take a look at our Group Work resource.
TIPS
Divide the topic of your presentation into subtopics, and allocate one to each group member. Doing this will ensure that the workload is evenly shared and that everyone takes part in the assessment.
Rehearse together as a group. Although it may seem easy for each group member to go off and cover their own section alone, not having regular group meetings or rehearsals will cause your presentation to appear disjointed.
Ensure the presentation is consistent by using a consistent style for your visual aids. If the visual aids your group uses are not consistent in format, colour and font styles, it will be clear to the marker that you have not been working as a team.
Use a cloud-based service or platform to create your presentation. Most cloud-based services and platforms have functions that allow you to work on materials remotely from one another. Check out our digital presentation resources to learn more.
Presenting in some format is part of everybody’s career. It is not so difficult as many think. Like any other skill it requires practice. Use the lessons we learned while judging the “DB2’s Got Talent Competition” from The DB2Night Show™

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1. The art of story writing
for PPDT and TAT
SSB Simplified
2. The art of story writing in SSB
▪ The first and foremost thing ---Observe the picture like an eagle does
▪ Don’t miss out any details---Even a small thing can make a big difference
▪ Practice ,practice, practice well in advance
▪ My best tip—Write 5 diferent stories for a single picture(While practicing)
▪ Use a variety of themes throughout your 12 stories inTAT
▪ Bring positivity in the story(It’s a cliché)
▪ Try to connect the picture to your real life incidents(Believe me this will
make it very easy for you to write a story and also boost your confidence
3. The strucuture of the story
▪ Introduction
▪ Problem Statement
▪ Problem Solution
▪ Conclusion
4. Introduction-Structure of the story
▪ Include name,place,occupation,age
▪ Shouldn’t exceed more than 2 lines
▪ Girish was a 21year old engineering student from IIT Madras.
▪ Somnath was a 35 year old farmer from Bilaspur
▪ Ali was an young BSc graduate from Delhi university who had gone
to holidays to his village
▪ ….etc……..Hope you get it
5. Problem Statement-The structure of the story
▪ Introduce the problem in the story.
▪ This should also be a maximum of 2 to 3 lines
▪ Write down how the protagonist saw the problem.
▪ He had gone to his grandmother’s village. There he found out that there
was no computer teacher in the school.So…..
▪ While coming home he saw that a car dashed to a scooter and fled
away.He…..
▪ If you ask me what best makes a problem statement then my answer would
be the SRT questions. How meticulously the problem statements are
written. So have a look at them if you find it difficult to write the problem
statement. This will give you more juice for writing.
6. Problem Solution-Structure of the story
▪ This is the crux of the story.
▪ Make this around 8 to 10 lines
▪ Solve the problem or explain the steps taken by the protagonist in
doing something
▪ If its going for an adventure camp then you must write
▪ Deciding the place, making your friends agree to come, arranging the
equipment,arranging the transport,accommodation,food etc
▪ Successfully going for the adventure activity and then completing
it.Ensuring that everybody’s safety is ensured.Reaching back safely.
7. Problem solution-Structure of the story
▪ If its organizing a cultural event then you must write the following
things
▪ Deciding on the venue, number of guests, the itenary of the
event,setting the stage,arranging for the technical aspects,auditions
for the participants,hospitality for the guests,reception team,putting
up a good show,managing the volunteers etc….
▪ If its preparing for NDA written exam…
▪ At first understanding the syllabus to be prepared, then filling the
forms, making a suitable timetable to study and prepare, taking many
mock tests in advance, identifying where you are wrong and
correcting yourself. Then successfully writing and clearing the exam
8. Conclusion-Structure of the story
▪ Finally you have to end the story on a good note
▪ This can be of 2 lines
▪ The task gets completed or the problem gets solved. Everybody is
happy and satisfied. There is development and prosperity.
▪ So choose the conclusion according to the problem stated.
▪ Don’t end the story abruptly and on a negative note
▪ And don’t give prizes and gifts to the hero of the story in every
conclusion as it will make you look like a reward seeking personality
and gives a notion that you work only for rewards.
10. Some more tips and tricks
▪ Use different names
▪ By different names I mean names of different religions
▪ Indians are too obsessed with Ram,Raju,Ravi etc.
▪ So use Ravi,Rehman,Roshan Singh,Romeo also
▪ This makes your stories more international and secular
▪ Don’t always stick to agriculture and village stories
▪ In today’s scientific era you can write stories on lot of things like
social media,futuristic time travel,sci-fi stories,cyber crime etc
11. Some tips and tricks
▪ Write what you can do and not what you cant do.
▪ Your hero is a normal human being so he can do only normal
things. He cannot like 100 villians at a time like in south Indian movies
▪ If you are distributing works to your friends in a task ensure that you
execute whats the toughest thing and give menial tasks to your
friends.Instead if you do the other way round then it will depict that
you are running away from responsibilities. So be careful
▪ For a blank story prepare it well in advance…
▪ And for the images where the person seems to be thinking use your
imagination to the fullest and write the story
12. Let me know if its helping you…And share
your ideas too
▪ I pledge to make it much more simpler for you guys
▪ This is just the beginning of the series of videos
▪ I will try to provide the best of the content and just not blabber and give you
clickbait titles .I promise
▪ Thank you so much if you have reached till here.
▪ If you feel like my videos are worth watching and worth your time then do consider
subscribing to my channel and share it with all your buddies who may be going to
SSB any time in future
▪ The key to success is to be consistent. So don’t drop in the middle of the journey.
