Mobile learning is on the rise due to the growing use of smartphones and mobile devices. Over 4 billion people now carry a mobile communication device. Smartphones will outsell traditional computers within two years. Mobile learning makes up 9.3% of organizational training currently, with content specifically for mobile at 13%. Mobile learning allows learning anywhere anytime through interactions, online resources, and self-directed learning. Both schools and workplaces have increasingly adopted mobile learning tools and platforms. The growing capabilities of new mobile devices means the advent of large-scale mobile learning is upon us.
